About:

Formed in the barren lands of Los Angeles when guitarist Hunter Gurney found fellow guitarist Michael Bala shredding at a Guitar Center in Hollywood, CA. With the shock and awe of each other’s talent, a friendship was quickly formed, and soon after the two mad lads began jamming, jellying, and collaborating in all senses of the phrase.

Between the two of them, there was a strong, electrical creative energy that compelled the pair to both write songs. The young shredders were very inspired by HP Lovecraft, 80s horror, and older style death metal. Hunter added his own flavor to Michael’s existing songs, and Michael helped Hunter expand his own songwriting abilities. The pair worked very quickly, and composed a handful of crunchy tunes; soon after, it was time to find other members to join their cult for brutality.

Through a mutual friend, the duo met growler David Ainsworth. Michael and Hunter were taken aback at David’s ability to perform metal vocals in a wide variety of styles, and suddenly the wolf pack became a terrifying trio of tremendous heavy metal titans. The Mississippi Mutant aka David became close with Michael and Hunter and joined them on their quest for death metal domination.

After a few solid months in the practice room, the trio decided it was time to hit the studio. Five songs for annihilation were chosen to be recorded and were executed with surgical precision, under the watchful eye of Charlie Waymire from Ultimate Studios. Michael and Hunter shared bass duties on the recording, and vocalist David injected his vocal venom from with lyrics of demons and eldritch horrors. Showcasing a range from technical death metal to melodic shred, the trio’s sonic devastation “Altars of Sacrifice” (EP) was completed and set to assault the masses on July 24th, 2020.

2020 is proving to be a big year for Bloodfeast Ritual. The band is beginning their journey, and they appreciate each and everyone that has encouraged them, either in the form of inspiration or those that have taken the time to pass on a kind word. Especially during the current age of Covid.

“”Chunky riffs, technical playing, and vicious raspy barks make up the majority of their sound, but they also display fistfuls of melodic leads that have more of a Trad sensibility to them that helps the band stand out, particularly on the first two tracks.” – The Metal Crypt

“If you like your death metal a little bit more of the shred-tastic sides of things, and are sick of all these ‘old school’ bands, then Bloodfeast Ritual’s debut EP ‘Altars of Sacrifice’ might just be for you. Coming hard on the Arsis/Black Dahlia Murder side of things, these Los Angeles dudes are tearing it up… The mix of shredding brutality and classical guitar work here is a reason that Bloodfeast Ritual have really go something going on on ‘Altars of Sacrifice’. It is a true love letter to the genre in its myriad forms, and Bloodfeast Ritual have the chops to pull off a variety of styles to really uphold the traditions without losing their modern edge. Check it out” – The Killchain Blog

“Gruesome death metal played with loads of energy and skill that will blow you away!” – Zax Records and Reviews

For fans of The Black Dahlia Murder, Arsis, Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel, Death

Out Now! Los Angeles Death Shred Bloodfeast Ritual Debut EP “Altars of Sacrifice”

“This EP is a love letter to Death Metal. Old School, Modern, Technical and Brutal; we love all of the aspects of death metal as a genre,
and we wanted to show that with this EP. We tried to display our influences by dramatically changing the vibe of each song.” – Bloodfeast Ritual

Los Angeles death shred Bloodfest Ritual have unleashed their debut EP “Altars of Sacrifice”, out now, officially as of July 24th. A five-track introduction ranging from technical death metal to melodic shred, the release’s lyrical content shares the trio’s love for 80’s horror movies, HP Lovecraft, and general blasphemy.

“This EP is a love letter to Death Metal. Old School, Modern, Technical and Brutal; we love all of the aspects of death metal as a genre, and we wanted to show that with this EP. We tried to display our influences by dramatically changing the vibe of each song.” says the band.

Heavy, fast, and brutal, the EP’s opener “Grave Fodder” resurrects the dead with its shred, guttural vocals and slamming assault of 90’s influenced Swedish death metal. Followed by “Eternally Molested By The One Most Foul”, where listeners can expect a guitar nerd’s wet dream as guitarists Michael Bala and Hunter Gurney showcase the rippage with four excitable solos. “No More Room In Hell” is a salute to ‘Dawn of The Dead’ and hits fans of old school Carcass and Cannibal Corpse with its brutal slam section, while “Chopped Up and Burned” is a tribute to ‘The Evil Dead’ and has many hints of early 90’s death metal. EP closer “Fetid Offering”, was the first song written by guitarist Hunter Gurney for the band and is about the video game Bloodborne. The track erodes what neck muscles you have left from headbanging with its blunt force trauma of The Black Dahlia Murder meets Necrophagist.

Bloodfeast Ritual’s debut EP “Altars of Sacrifice” is available on Bandcamp, Apple Music, Spotify, and Amazon.

Rockshots Records: Out Now! Finnish Melodic Death Metal TORCHIA’s New Album “The Coven”

Finnish melodic death metallers Torchia‘s sophomore album “The Coven” is now out of March 27th via Rockshots Records.

Arising from the inner darkness of composer and lyricist Ville Riitamaa, TORCHIA takes inspiration from a multitude of metal subgenres and their mission is to revitalize the genre of melodic death metal by bringing in a sense of danger and unpredictability.

“The Coven” is available on all the physical and digital stores: https://smarturl.it/TheCoven

The band comments about the song:

“With an intro depicting the singing of the gathering witches in the album cover, ‘Sky’ opens the album with a crushing death metal theme. We wanted to have a very different opener compared to the first album and this track showcases some new directions for Torchia right from the start. The song combines traditional death metal with grand melodic choruses and guitar solos, making it an epic start for the album.”

TORCHIA is a five-members metal band from Tampere, Finland. They released their first full-length album “Of Curses and Grief” in October 2017. The album was produced and mixed by renowned Finnish producer Hiili Hiilesmaa who is known for his work with bands like HIM, Amorphis, Ensiferum, and Apocalyptica. The album was picked 7th best Finnish album of 2017 by Inferno Magazine, the biggest metal media in Finland.

After that album’s release, TORCHIA toured Finland, Europe and Taiwan playing dozens of shows. Rockshots Records: Finnish Melodic Death Metal TORCHIA Unleash New Single “Memoirs”

New Album “The Coven” Out March 27th

Pre-Orer Available

Finnish death metallers TORCHIA have unleashed their next single ‘Memoirs’, off their forthcoming sophomore album “The Coven” due out March 27th via ROCKSHOTS RECORDS.

The track is now available for stream and download at the following links:

Spotify – https://spoti.fi/2Sxom5n

https://spoti.fi/2Sxom5n
Apple Music (immediate download) – https://apple.co/37eurt0

Edward Torchia comments about the track:

“‘Memoirs’ presents TORCHIA at our very core. I think the signature melody of this song is one of the most memorable our guitarist Ville Riitamaa has ever written, and I love the fact that he paired it with an onslaught of death/thrash riffs. In a way, I feel ’Memoirs’ is a hybrid between ’Fury’ and ’Face of Hate’, two of the most popular songs from TORCHIA’s debut album. Lyrically, it’s a story of black magic, betrayal, and of course, death.”

Arising from the inner darkness of composer and lyricist Ville Riitamaa, TORCHIA takes inspiration from a multitude of metal subgenres and their mission is to revitalize the genre of melodic death metal by bringing in a sense of danger and unpredictability.

What the press is saying:
“I can highly recommend this to anyone who yearns for that ‘old school’ vibe that seems to be so highly sought after. Krvsade nail what it takes to be an old school blackened thrash act in the 21st century by sticking true to tried and tested traits, but by expanding their sound into more sludgy territory at the same time…damn good, solid, thrashing fun time.” – The Metal Observer

“The opening title track is a fine example of what the Krvsade are about, old school Sepultura, Death or even Morbid Angel style guitar work and recording esthetics, pulverising kit work from Dennis and demonic vocals from Evans. You can just picture Evans eyes lit up electric blue as he spits fire from his mouth and shoots lighting bolts from his palms.” – Metal Noise

“Krvsade stand poised to seize the rusty metal crown of the Queen City, as there is a conscious malignancy lurking in the depths of their songwriting, waiting to rear its hideous head.” – Exclaim

“full of bangers!” – Ghost Cult Magazine

“Listen to it until your ears bleed, and then listen to it again.” – ROXX100.com

“A giant dose of talent in this Ep; a sinister environment enhanced by a well balanced rhythm section, a great structure and an inspired solo in JUDGEMENT DAY. KEEP IN THE CHURCH is more squared with deep vocals and great changes of time. Not least next THE KEY AND THE GATE. A band to keep an eye on! Interesting!” – Hardrockheavymetal

“Made up of only 3 songs, the EP starts off with a bang, combining thrash and death metal in a powerful title track that can be easily pictured as the soundtrack for a savage moshpit.” – Metal Blast

“Krvsade from North Carolina, USA, drop this brutal 3 x track EP and my lord does it pack a punch, and for £2.97 from Amazon, it’s worth every penny… very imaginative riffing going on and plenty to remember.” 5/5 – PlanetMosh

“Krvsade slam out some awesome old school death/thrash metal on their new EP Judgment Day. These three songs are what just what the metal doctor ordered full of anger, aggression and powerful lyrics. Great evil vocals that slash through awesome guitar riffs that are both fast and heavy.” – The Dirty Room

“If you like it heavy and dark, I believe you will like this one. This slashin’ thrashin’ journey is built on a foundation of some very powerful drum work with amazing guitar accents sprinkled throughout. The vocals are what nightmares are made of, and I mean that in a complimentary manner… I strongly recommend checking out this Death/Thrash Metal combo, it works for me.” – Boston Rock Radio

“For my money, thrash with a heavy dose of death metal has always been more fertile ground for bands looking to make their mark after the genre’s 80s heyday. Charlotte’s Krvsade is clearly of the same opinion. Their second EP, Judgement [sic] Day is a promising, if overly brief, show of force from a band still finding their footing in today’s metal scene.” – Toilet ov Hell

“Krvsade is firing on all cylinders and boasting some changes, they really have developed an impressive sound.” – Crannk

Charlotte’s Krvsade will be releasing their new EP “Judgement Day” this Friday, January 31, 2020. Before it officially drops, the band has teamed up with GhostCultMag for the EP’s exclusive full stream HERE.

Krvsade has come a long way from their 2017 debut EP “Militum Infernum” and they are excited to show off this stark contrast to the previous material to fans. Comparing the new release to their previous one, the band states:

“This EP is definitely a change compared to ‘Militum Infernum’. Whereas Militum was more raw and pure in your face, ‘Judgement Day’ has some twists and turns. The playing is better and I think fans will appreciate a band that’s firing on all cylinders and not holding anything back. It’s a good example of the rebirth of this band. Our sound evolving from the rawness it previously was. More mature and progressive. It’s a fun ride from start to finish.” says vocalist/guitarist Andre Evans.

New, refreshed and boasting some line-up changes, Krvsade is here to stay. “Judgement Day” is coming and it’s going to be an exciting, aggressive ride for everyone. The EP as a whole is just an appetizer for the main course which is to come.

Fans of Slayer, old school Sepultura, Kreator, and Morbid Angel should keep an eye on these guys.

EP pre-order available on Bandcamp.

About:

Released from the depths in 2015, Krvsade is a mind-shattering thrash assault destined to conquer stages across the nation and the world. A new blend of extreme metal from Charlotte, USA, Krvsade incorporates death and black metal into the thrash equation, resulting in an original, brutal sound.

The four members of Krvsade work together to refine each melodic track, starting with Andre Evans (guitar/vocals) defining the skeleton of the song with riff ideas and the occasional chorus. The framework is sent to Keegan Dennis (drums) to flesh out a solid foundation and once that is done, it passes to Arthur Reid (guitar) and Jeb Laird (bass) for final attunement. Lyrical themes encompass anything from the end of days to religion and real-life events.

Having shared the stage with the likes of Inquisition, Nervosa, and Uada, Krvsade is first and foremost a live band. With seasoned musicians comprising the line-up, a live gig from Krvsade is intense and interactive. Raw and in the moment, it’s not a numb, over choreographed school play. This is real, in your face, fast and angry metal; a full set of four dudes losing their minds. The way it should be.

Krvsade released their debut offering ‘Militum Infernum’ in 2017, featuring the first three songs they ever wrote as a band. Growth and evolution are apparent in the newest recording, ‘Judgment Day’ EP arriving in January 2020. According to the band, this latest 3 track record is only an appetizer for the full course that is coming soon.

Charlotte’s Krvsade is ready to unleash their new EP “Judgement Day” on January 31, 2020 with the single ‘Keep It In The Church’ in anticipation of the next installment of the North Carolina’s thrash metal fury.

They have come along way from their 2017 debut EP “Militum Infernum” and Krvsade is excited to show off this stark contrast to the previous material to fans. Comparing the new release to their previous one, the band states:

“This EP is definitely a change compared to ‘Militum Infernum’. Whereas Militum was more raw and pure in your face, ‘Judgement Day’ has some twists and turns. The playing is better and I think fans will appreciate a band that’s firing on all cylinders and not holding anything back.”

New, refreshed and boasting some line-up changes, Krvsade is here to stay. “Judgement Day” is coming and it’s going to be an exciting, aggressive ride for everyone. The single ‘Keep It In The Church’ marks the start of a new era for the group and the EP as a whole is just an appetizer for the main course which is to come. When asked about the new single, Krvsade responds:

“This song is calling out people that use religion as an excuse to treat others poorly. Living in the south you see a lot of people think they have a better opinion or know your life and get to give you advice because of that. Fast and thrashing with a catchy chorus the song has a lot to say and hopefully, anyone going through similar troubles knows they aren’t alone.”

Fans of Slayer, old school Sepultura, Kreator, and Morbid should keep an eye on these guys and check out their single ‘Keep It In The Church’ at the following links:
