0 Rockshots RecORDS: Out Now! Aussie 80’s Heavy Metal NOTHING SACRED Album “No Gods” + Music Video “Virus”

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – July 16, 2021

For fans of Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Death Angel, Exodus, Testament

Rockshots Records:
Out Now! Aussie 80’s Heavy Metal NOTHING SACRED New Album “No Gods” + Music Video “Virus”

Australian classic heavy metal Nothing Sacred are marking their return to the mosh pit with the new album “No Gods”, out now via Rockshots Records as of July 16th.

In celebration of the release of the full length, the band is sharing their new music video for the track “Virus”.

The band adds:

“Virus came from the concept of displacing blame situations or actions onto others in order to achieve inner peace. It’s from the perspective of people or entities taking ownership to allow the less fortunate to continue on their chosen path with no consequences. This track has a great groove and is very fun to play.”

Watch the music video for “Virus” via Rockshots Records‘ YouTube channel – https://youtu.be/GLV7gP_XkSM

Conceived in Melbourne in 1983, Nothing Sacred went on hiatus for two decades. During the 80s, the heavy metal band unleashed their EP “Deathwish”, which catapulted them as one of the most sought-after pit makers with the record’s title track becoming a classic within the Australian metal scene. Three years later in 1988, Nothing Sacred unleashed the full-length entitled “Let Us Prey” on Cleopatra Records. Unfortunately a year after that LP’s release, the band disbanded in 1989. Lead guitarist Mark Woolley, bassist Karl Lean and drummer Sham went on to contribute to Hobbs’ Angel of Death‘s early work in the late 1980s. Woolley also appeared on Hobbs’ first self-titled album in 1988. Vocalist Mick Burnham later joined short-lived Melbourne band Seizure in 1993.

Although their tenure was short-lived, Nothing Sacred still remains an underground metal phenomenon in Australia. Songs from the Deathwish EP still get airplay on several Australian metal radio programs.

In 2012, Nothing Sacred performed a series 30th anniversary shows with Ross Percy (Ion Drive, Little House Godz) joining George Larin on guitar that included a support slot for the ex-Iron Maiden vocalists Paul Di’AnnoP/Blaze Bayley Australian tour. Despite the success, the band agreed not to continue and returned to retirement.

In 2015, the band decided to re-activate with a lineup of Sham, Karl Lean, George Larin, Ross Percy, and new vocalist Chris Stark. A slot on Melbourne’s Brewtality Metal Festival received positive reviews before the band embarked on a short tour of Japan, which inspired them to continue and lead the band to headline day one of the Steel Assassins Festival in Sydney.

Line-up changes again slowed the band, but with the addition of James Davies now on vocals and Stu Bedford on guitar, the band spent most of 2019 and 2020 writing and recording, what is now to be their first full length in over 30 years. Entitled “No Gods”, the record is Nothing Sacred‘s resurrection to the metal world. With a wealth of experience, a bucket load of riffs, and a renewed energy for one of Australia’s longest-running metal bands.

The band adds:

“We think our return with this new album will be received well. We’ve made a conscious effort to not be one-dimensional. We picked a cross-section of tracks we thought would make the album interesting. Though eight of the tracks are brand new, we decided to add two tracks ‘Final Crime’ and ‘Oracle’ we wrote for our 2nd album in the late 80’s, but never released.”

0 Calgary Heavy Metal RAVENOUS Announce New Album “Hubris” Out October 2021

This year, Calgary’s Ravenous is giving metalheads another reason to be famished after the long musical starvation experienced around the globe. They are releasing their new full-length album “Hubris”, which continues to reminisce about a time when metal was hungry.

This will be the second full-length release, following 2019’s “Eat the Fallen”, and 2017’s “Eternal Hunger” EP. Working collaboratively, so that the strengths of each musician can stand out and compliment the others, Ravenous have grown from doing basic fist-pumping heavy metal songs into writing complex, dense, and multilayered dark symphonic power metal anthems. The band doesn’t just caw about hunger, they take lyrical inspiration from personal experiences, books, movies, games, (especially Magic: the Gathering), classic poetry, folklore, and historical events. They explain the album in their own words:

“Lyrically, the album tells 10 stories from various sources all surrounding Hubris, the notion of arrogance and the hunger for power, resulting in the demise of the story’s main characters – beneath the surface, hidden messages are scattered throughout various lyrical lines that pertain to the band’s real-life experiences. Musically, the album is the marriage of European Anthemic Power Metal and American Speed Metal, with a penchant for speed and aggression accentuating the dynamics of the music.”

“Hubris” was mixed and mastered by Fredrik Nordström and the album artwork was done by Moch Luthfi of LuthSlaughterArt. It is recommended for fans of Blind Guardian, Falconer, and Powerwolf.

Our first glimpse into this upcoming banger is the album trailer, which can be watched right now on YouTube – https://youtu.be/GYJfhUWLPcM

“Hubris” will be released on October 22, 2021 via Feast Beast Records for North America plus Europe and for Asia via Spiritual Beast with exclusive bonus tracks.

Like many music events across Canada, Loud As Hell‘s 2020 production was forced to cancel due to the COVID pandemic. It was scheduled to be their 9th consecutive concert since the first metal jamboree in 2012. Over the years, the festival has hosted hundreds of Canadian and international bands in the prairie badlands. The 2019 edition of Loud As Hell sold out and melted faces off of metalheads who assembled from across the country for its 40 band line-up, which featured Goatwhore, Anciients, Planet Eater, Untimely Demise, Arrival of Autumn.

Loud As Hell event organizers were closely monitoring guidelines and updates from Alberta’s provincial government. The most recent announcement from officials to fully open up the province as of July 1st as part of their Stage 3 planning that states the following:

Stage 3: Two weeks after 70% of Albertans 12+ (born in 2009 or earlier) have received at least one dose. Effective July 1st.

  • All restrictions lifted, including the ban on indoor social gatherings.
  • Isolation requirements for confirmed cases of COVID-19 and some protective measures in continuing care settings remain.
  • The general indoor provincial mask mandate will be lifted, but masking may still be required in limited and specific settings.
  • More information will be shared prior to the start of Stage 3.

What the press is saying:
“Western Canada’s loudest heavy metal festival brings fans to town more known for dinos than drum solos.” – CBC Calgary

“Loud as Hell – one of Canada’s top underground metal festivals – was a metal family reunion. If you walked around the grounds, where tents covered the landscape like flowers, you would experience concert goers laughing, hugging and just enjoying the moment. The music played non-stop and the people were some of the best you’ll meet. What else do you need? If you’re a metal head fan, mark it down for next year because this is a concert you don’t want to miss.” – Blackfalds Life

“Headbanger alert: Loud As Hell festival to ramp up the volume” – Calgary Herald

“Nevermind the bug spray and sun tan lotion, as August approaches Drumheller residents should stock up on earplugs.” – Calgary Herald

“Loud as Hell has celebrated eight years in the Badlands to date, with acts from all over the world-shattering the peace and quiet of the hills in a camping and music extravaganza.” – Hanna Herald

“Drumheller with its dinosaur bones is the site of the annual Loud as Hell heavy metal festival Friday through Sunday. Dozens of the heaviest bands known to Man will be taking the stage, many of them Canadian” – Gig City

0 Vancouver’s REBEL PRIEST Bring The Mean Streets To Your Ears With “Back Alley Blues”, New EP “Lost In Tokyo” Out August 13th via Batcave Records

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – July 14, 2021

For fans of Motörhead, ZZ Top, Rose Tattoo, Deep Purple, LA Guns

Vancouver’s REBEL PRIEST Bring The Mean Streets To Your Ears With “Back Alley Blues”

New EP “Lost In Tokyo” Out August 13th via Batcave Records

L-R – Jayme Black – Vocals/Bass, Nate Pole – Drums/Vocals, Benny Kemp – Guitars/Vocals

Vancouver’s Rebel Priest took a trip to Japan in 2019 and from the drunken debauchery they wrote a few songs, now being released as a four-track EP, the aptly named “Lost In Tokyo”. The second single off the EP is the second track “Back Alley Blues”.

Instead of a full-length concept album, Rebel Priest decided to make a punchy, succinct EP. They set the tone on each single by adding a few similar elements which bind them together on the album as a whole but each track is a juggernaut on its own and will stand strong independently. “Back Alley Blues” is a slinking little ditty about an imaginary place that is half sunset strip, half Detroit rock city, and about hanging with your crew. The band explains further:

“Imagine if you will, you’re a stray cat, walking down the street. You come across a mean old junkyard dog, you’re not afraid ‘cause you’re a tough-as-nails, street thug. The dog starts barking, you keep walking, and the smell of a kitty of the other persuasion is in the air. You’re now hotter than on a summer day, you see an alley with an intoxicating scent. As you walk down the place you feel most at home, your nostrils spike because there is something else in the air. As you get to the end of the alley you see the kitty you have been looking for and they have a bag of catnip. That’s just the beginning of your night.”

Lived experiences, vivid imagery, and wild rock n roll is the name of the game for Rebel Priest. The writing process for the band is simple and organic, the result of them working together previously and being no strangers to their craft. They will write a riff, work on it together, and then if it has wings, they let it fly. There is no microscope to put tracks under and obsess over, in this world of autotune and time-shifting, it’s all about trying to find the ghost in the machine, and Rebel Priest is bringing the Ouiji board!

Greasy, smooth, and catchy, “Back Alley Blues” is recommended for fans of ZZ Top, Rose Tattoo, and Deep Purple.

About:
Rebel Priest is a no-nonsense, real-deal rock n’ roll band composed of three seasoned musicians who have been making their way through the Western Canadian rock n roll scene for years. Vocalist/bassist Jayme Black (Lust Boys, The Toxiks); guitarist/vocalist Benny Kemp (Lust Boys, Road Rash); and drummer/vocalist Nate Pole (Kill Matilda, The Toxiks) bring nothing but unadulterated, high energy grease infused Trash N’ Roll!

The band has had the pleasure of touring Japan, and performing alongside bands such as Udo (Accept), Lordi, Diamond Head, Crystal Pistol, Flotsam, and Jetsam along with playing many headlining gigs with the energy of Motorhead meets Motley Crue.
Since forming in 2014, the band has released three studio albums “R’ley Heavy” (2019), Enabler (2017 ), Self-Titled (2015) along with one live record “Dead Alive @ SBC (2017).

Now in 2021, they offering up a slab of new music in the shape of an EP “Lost In Tokyo”, which was written in Japan at the very end of 2019, before the closure, and the band has been sitting on the tracks for over a year. The band even shares a cover rendition of Toronto 80s metal band Slash Puppets’ “When The Whip Comes Down”.

“We had a batch of headbangers and a few didn’t make it, but sometimes songs just need other means to come out. We wanted to set the tone for each one on this EP as opposed to a full-length concept album. Each one is a juggernaut on their own and will stand strong without having to be bound to the others… and as for more music … oh Lemmy tell ya! We aren’t slowing down, we are gonna have stuff coming at ya throughout the rest of the year, LIKE A FREIGHT TRAIN!” adds Jayme Black (vocals/bassist).

Recommended for fans of Guns n’ Roses, AC/DC and Motley Crue, Rebel Priest’s new EP “Lost In Tokyo” will be available on August 13th, 2021 via Batcave Records.

Fell Harvest, from Cheyenne, Wyoming, USA is streaming their new album “Pale Light In A Dying World”, which is a new take on traditional doom as it incorporates modern, progressive elements. The band started as a pretty traditional 90s style death-doom band if there’s such a thing, but considering the influence that each of the members brings forward, their sound has been about stepping away from the formula and letting themselves explore those while also presenting a consistent aesthetic experience to fans.

It is hard to sum up the album in its entirety, due to it being so complex, both musically and mentally, as bassist and vocalist Joseph Fell quotes:

“If I had to call it anything though I would say “A snapshot of the plague year’. So much of this record was shaped by the pandemic, from deciding to record when and how we did, to tracking parts with a 103-degree fever and the discovery that I couldn’t sing the same way anymore because COVID damaged my lungs too badly. While it’s ultimately about more than just this one, unique moment in the modern zeitgeist, it’s also impossible to separate from the things happening around us when we created it.”

Initially, Fell Harvest was planning on spending 2020 touring to support their just released EP, but it obviously didn’t work out. Instead, Joseph Fell (bass/vocals) found himself sitting at home with nothing to do and began sifting through not only recent ideas, but some nearly forgotten bits and pieces that had never found a home before now. Eventually, he started working on some new arrangements to older songs and the band decided to try and record and release something in the summer. That didn’t work out either and it took almost a year to have the resulting record ready to release, but they think the results will prove worth it.

Recommended for fans of both doom metal and death metal, Fell Harvest is easily enjoyed by those with My Dying Bride, Agalloch, and Type O Negative in their rotation.

“Pale Light In A Dying World” can be heard via its full stream premiere on Doomed & Stoned HERE.

About:
Fell Harvest, doom metal from Cheyenne, Wyoming, USA, strives to weave a tapestry of melody, despair, and longing to chronicle the last lights of a dying world.

Fell Harvest grew out of a former project of Joseph Fell (bass/vocals); which found its completed form as a trio with the additions of Angel Enkeli (drums) and Liam Duncan (guitars). The name Fell Harvest came from a dream Fell had where he was walking through a deserted vineyard with every vine bearing bleached bones and rotting flesh. He woke up and wrote a short poem called “The Fell Harvest” about the images and feelings.

Probably the most unique aspect of their live sound is rooted in the fact they are a trio. It’s somewhat rare these days to see a three-piece band in extreme metal, and even more rare to see one that is as melodically driven as Fell Harvest. Fans can hear parallels to bands like Paradise Lost and Rotting Christ, but more careful listeners can hear nods to Venom and King’s X as well.

The band debuted a self-titled EP in 2020 and is following it up with “Pale Light In A Dying World” out on July 16, 2021.

Hexenklad (ft. members of SIG:AR:TYR, Eclipse Eternal, Pagan Ritual) has a new album “Heathenheart” coming out, one that will surely tantalize the ears of any metalhead who enjoys both harsh, raw black metal and the uplifting, catchy aspects of folk metal.

The next single off this record is about the ravens of Odin “Huginn and Muninn”, which the band is premiering its lyric video today via Metal-Rules HERE.

Vocalist Timothy Voldemars Johnston explains the track further:

“It’s got a good pace and rawness, yet the choruses bring it back to the Folk side. The lyrics are mostly written in Kenning and are about Odin’s ravens, about what they are, what they represent and why that matters. When I first heard the melodies, it made me think of flying over the world and looking down and seeing how everything was made small and how to the one looking down, everyone below would suddenly look like one folk, one people and that in order to be recognized in the mass’s, one’s deeds must indeed be great and worthy and like a beacon in the dark. There’s also a theme of what it would be like to lose one of the integral components of yourself that seeks out new experiences and knowledge and wisdom.”

The lyrical content on the album is varied, some of it is about the old gods in the old world and some of it plays into Johnston’s heathen beliefs. Regardless of the subject matter, the music itself is interesting and intense and flows well. Anyone who appreciates both folk and black metal and even just melodic metal will find something compelling in these songs.

“Hexenklad” will surely surprise a lot of people, especially those already familiar with the band. For such an intense album it is also a very uplifting, meaningful record and that is a rare thing and much needed right now. According to the band, one of the beautiful things about having so many members is that they never go through a drought of ideas; songs can start as one person’s idea and by the end, they become a mix of everyone’s. They have lots more music brewing in our minds for the future. Easily enough for another album.

Hexenklad is recommended for fans of Ensiferum, Insomnium and Windir.

“Heathenheart” will be released on July 23, 2021 via CDN Records.

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – July 9, 2021

For fans of Epica, Within Temptation, Sonata Arctica, Lacuna Coil, Evanescence

Rockshots Records: Italian Symphonic Metal ETERNAL SILENCE Music Video “Glide In The Air”

New Album “Timegate Anathema” Out October 2021

Italian symphonic metallers Eternal Silence will be releasing their new album “Timegate Anathema” on October 8, 2021 via Rockhots Records. Recorded at The Groove Factory (Udine, Italy) and Line/Out Studio (Milano, Italy) with mixing and mastering by Michele Guaitoli (Visions of Atlantis, Temperance, Kaledon), the full length will feature ten tracks of symphonic and power prog metal plus will see the band introduce new elements and experimentation into their sound. The album goes from power metal songs like “The Way Of Time” and “My Soul Sad Until Death” to heavy and dark ones like “Rain and Red Death Masquerade”, passing through the catchy melodies of tracks like “Glide In The Air” and acoustic moments on “Lonely and Firefly”. The main theme that inspired the record is the concept of time.

“It has been a long time since our last full length was released, we took our time to make the best songs possible and then the pandemic broke in and forced us to stop and wait for the right time to publish it. But now everything is ready and we can’t wait to finally share this with you all.” adds the band.

Today, Eternal Silence unveils their music video for the second single “Glide In The Air”, which is one of the most easy-listening songs from the album with its catchy melodies and beating rhythm.

The band explains the song’s concept in further detail:

“This song was conceived by our guitarist Enzo Criscuolo. The guitars and the rhythmic section are strong and the beat of the drums plays a main role. Unlike the other tracks on the album, for Glide In The Air, there’s no bombastic orchestra and classical strings, but electronic keyboards and synthesizers that give the entire song a different taste and personality. The vocal part is completely entrusted to Marika, who shows her full potential in a more modern and poppy ambiance.”

Formed in Varese, Italy in 2008, Eternal Silence combines powerful guitar riffs, a thunderous rhythmic section, catchy melodies, and bombastic orchestral tracks with the support of two vocalists, Marika Vanni and guitarist Alberto Cassina sharing the front stage. The band’s current line-up is completed by Alessio Sessa (bass), Andrea Zannin (drums) and Enzo Criscuolo (guitarist).

Since their formation, the band has unleashed three albums and two EPs. 2020’s “Renegades” (EP), 2018’s “Metamorphosis” (EP), and 2017’s “Mastermind Tyranny” were released on Sliptrick Records, and their earlier full-lengths “Raw Poetry” (2013) and “Chasing Chimera” (2015) were released on Underground Symphony Records.

Over the years, the band has been a consistent touring presence in Europe, performing in Germany, Switzerland, France, Czech Republic, Austria, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Italy, and Hungary along with being support for bands such as Temperance, Therion, Haggard, Sound Storm, Blackoustic (Timo Kotipelto (Stratovarius) and Jani Liimatainen (Insomnium)).

Scattered Storm (ft. members Pissing Razors) Is Now Streaming Primitive Yet Futuristic Debut EP “Oblivion”

EP Stream Premiere via MetalInsider

Debut EP “Oblivion” Out July 9th

Texas’ Scattered Storm has a new EP slated for release this summer and listeners around the world can dig into the stream right now.

The main theme of “Oblivion” is darkness in various situations like social, personal, and the fantasy world. The EP lyrically touches on many social and fantasy subjects, musically the intent was to not be too technical, only in moments, but definitely heavy and atmospheric. It is not a concept EP but it kind of flows like one from one song to the other. The music creates the sonic journey while the lyrics convey the history of that journey. As the band describe themselves:

“There are varied themes within each song, but the consistency of the technical aspects of the music make it glue very well. This being the solid foundation of rhythm, with the ambience of the keyboards. The bass separates a lot and this was done intentionally so as to not sound too predictable in the melodies and more tool-like. This works well to create separation and keeps the songs interesting. Imagine taking the ambience of Devin, the complex heavy groove and machine riffs of Fear Factory with some very poppy and heavy vocals in between.”

Over the course of the debut, fans can expect six very well thought out songs. As the band says, there are no fillers. They decided to do six songs to test out the market and not waste any more material. They have much more material, but felt this initial offering was a good start to showcase the band and introduce it to the world.

The EP was mixed by Jay Arriaga (drums/keyboards/samples) who then sent it to their good friend Alan Wallace from Eminence in Brazil to master.

Recommended for fans of Meshuggah, Tesseract and Devin Townsend, Scattered Storm brings together a wide variety of elements and techniques.

The EP “Oblivion” is streaming now via its premiere on MetalInsider HERE and is officially out on July 9th, 2021.

About:
Scattered Storm hails from El Paso, Texas, USA and is a state supergroup comprised of seasoned musicians Andre Acosta and Ed Razor from Pissing Razors fame with band founders Jay Arriaga (No Life on Earth, Years of Cold), and Kevin Armstrong (Mondoshawan, Section 6). Their music is very dark, futuristic and heavy, but also has a lot of ambience.

Formed in 2019, the band has been polishing itself since and decided on an ultimate direction to go in. From the beginning, there was a very clear understanding of every detail they wanted to incorporate. From the very tuning of the 7 and 8 string guitars and the very specific tonality, they produce the ambience provided by the keyboards to layers and layers of vocals to really convey Acosta’s sound. This is all finished off with the main focus, that catchy riff and rhythm to have the songs stay on people’s minds and headbanging of course. Gotta have headbanging.

A Scattered Storm song begins with Arriaga and Armstrong exchanging riffs, with an emphasis on a technicality, but never losing the groove. After the song is polished, it goes to Acosta who applies the fantastic to the real world through the vocals.

When Scattered Storm hits the stage, the audience can expect a combination of the primal vs the futuristic as described in the lyrics and song title names. In the summer of 2021, they are unleashing their debut EP “Oblivion” via Blood Blast Distribution powered by Nuclear Blast.

CDN Records is proud to announce that August 21st will be the release date for the reissue of Canadian death metallers The Blood of Christ‘s early 1990’s demos “Frozen Dreams” (1994)  and “The Lonely Flowers Of Autumn” (1995) on limited edition cassette and CD. Both are remixed along with remastering done by Dan Swano (Incantation, Jungle Rot, Asphyx). The CD version features bonus tracks from the 1996 Torture Records 7″ single and the 1994 demo “Frozen Dreams”.

The Blood of Christ brutalized their way onto the Canadian scene in the mid-1990s. Even with various line-up changes, mainly vocalists, the band has released a discography of multiple albums and splits along with being a tour de force, supporting bands such as Cryptopsy, Incantation, Morbid Angel, Kataklysm, Necronomicon, Killitorous and many more local and international acts.

The band comments on the reissues:

“This was the beginning of our natural journey that began rooted in straight-up death-grind metal around 1995 with added dark elements from black metal and doom. These songs became epic with varied time signatures and tempo changes, often shifting from chugging death metal riffs to droning black metal riffs in the blink of an eye – and incorporated more vocal styles than the average death metal band would. We have always called it Epic Dark Metal since our inception in 1995 with our “the Lonely Flowers of Autumn” demo… and that has stuck with us.”

In support of the reissues for “Frozen Dreams” and “The Lonely Flowers Of Autumn”, The Blood of Christ are also sharing their lyric video for the track “In The Distance”. It was a song written by the band while heavily influenced by the Kataklysm “Sorcery” album. It’s a lengthy, heavy and unique grinder that is dedicated to a story of a vampire who can not love a human woman due to his wretched existence and immortality. This song acts as a soundtrack to human suffering, told from both the band’s and the fictional vampire’s point of view.

About:
Canadian Epic Dark Metal band The Blood of Christ (aka Blood of Christ) began their career in the early ’90s, making a blackened death metal hybrid that sounded similar to a mashup of Carcass and Enslaved. They kept this style throughout their first two albums, but started to tweak it on their third full-length album, 2003’s “Breeding Chaos”. The Blood of Christ’s brooding, unique and crushing sound has made fans out of underground metal lovers from many genres, creating an appeal that defies genre borders.

On their second release through CDN Records, the London trio has crafted their most focused and creative effort yet with 7 numbers of Epic Dark Metal dexterity and power. Fiends whom were raised on the sheer brutality and boundary-smashing efforts of Morbid Angel, or the pioneering and challenging progressive grind-core of Liverpudlian innovators Carcass, the epic and majestic sounds of Viking artisans Enslaved or even the groove-laden proto-death of Brazilian legends Sepultura will find something rousing and engulfing within The Blood of Christ. All of these influences and components meet head-on and shatter the boundaries of conventional arrangements and ultimately take the listener away to territory similarly explored by none before.

While their influences favored the shocking approach with lyrical themes that were rampant with Gore, Satanism and often-abhorrent imagery, The Blood of Christ chose to focus on more abstract and poetic subject matter. Their songs are often rife with human suffering, lust and longing, time travel, astrology, historic battles and the human struggle for personal freedom. A sincerely dark and often poetic way of not being afraid to expose the innards of human suffering, and relate to the misery from the destructive, self-promotion of humanity with unique vocals that sound as if purveyed by a raging beast – all of which is set to a brutal and epic soundtrack.

The Blood of Christ was formed in London, Ontario, in 1994, their lineup composed of avid metal scenesters: guitarist Jeff Longo, bassist Marek Kopala, drummer Jason Longo and vocalist Jason Deaville. Musically, at that time they were closest to Cannibal Corpse, although other metal bands like Morbid Angel, Samael, Kataklysm and Carcass played a role in their sound.

A 1995 demo (that saw a shift in style to what is now their own blend of death and black metal) helped the band secure a deal with Pulverizer Records, which released their debut album, “…a Dream to Remember” in 1997. A strong underground following began to build behind the group with albums like 1997’s “…a Dream to Remember” and 2002’s “As the Rain Gently falls”. Vocalist Conan Bulani, who joined the group in time to appear on the band’s debut album, sadly passed away in 2011. The Blood of Christ is now fronted by Ontario underground-metal veteran Hank Bielanski on bass & vocals.

The release of “Eastern Beast – Western Wolf”, a split CD & Cassette with Japanese hyper-groove masters Vomit Remnants on CDN Records in late 2020 will see the debut of Hank’s beastly craft with The Blood of Christ. The Blood of Christ is the embodiment of an Epic Dark Metal craft that in it of itself is limitless with possibility.
