DREAMS IN PERIL Challenge You To Rise Above Your Struggles w/ Music Video “Ascending”

+ Midwest Tour Dates Pig Weed

Photographer Credit: Casey Steinmiller, Steinmiller Productions

Kansas City’s Dreams in Peril have a new single out just as they embark on a tour across the Midwest with Pig Weed. This tour will take them through seven states over nine days, and each one will be a display of passion, precision, and musicianship. The new single “Ascending” shows considerable growth since their debut album release in 2019 and it is a reminder to them and fans alike that despite the trials and tribulations one goes through in life, the mission is to ultimately overcome, or ascend. They provide their thoughts on the single:

“Ascending is about us as a band continuing to strive for more and pushing to bigger heights. We look to expand as a band, where in past bands, we didn’t. Reaching for your goals and meeting them. That’s what this song and album are about!”

Dreams In Peril takes relevant and relatable themes involving anger, sadness, death, and other life problems and sets them to brutal tones, breakdowns, and grind. Their music influences the words that are written but they always come back to real experiences.

Since their last album “Mephobia” released in 2019, they have matured and grown together as musicians. As they have gotten more comfortable with each other, both personally and musically, their sound has gotten tighter and more dynamic and flows together better. The next chapter, the upcoming album, will no doubt be miles ahead of the last.

Dreams In Peril makes music that is relatable and real. It is recommended for fans of Oceano, Emmure, and Suicide Silence.

The music video for “Ascending” can be seen and heard via its premiere on Hardcore Worldwide – https://youtu.be/eOljuBe-c9M

About:
Dreams In Peril are a five-piece groove-driven and dynamic death metal/hardcore act out of Kansas City. Combining crushing grooves with cinematic soundscape melodies, the band brings a huge dynamic that has been captured on the upcoming album ‘Ascending’.

Having supported acts such as BORN OF OSIRIS, BENEATH THE MASSACRE, ORIGIN, BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME, VEIL OF MAYA, and THE ACACIA STRAIN, since forming in 2018 Dreams In Peril have quickly established themselves as a force to be reckoned with. Soon after the band’s inception, Dreams In Peril released a debut album titled ‘MePhobia’ and the video clip for the lead single ‘Neckties And Nostalgia’.

The band started out as a four-piece and found the path to the present an endurance of setbacks both personal and professional. The band’s name is a reflection of the experience of these challenges and overcoming them. This however soon changed, with the band being picked up by leading international heavy music management agency EMG in 2019 (SUFFOCATION, CRYPTOPSY, RINGS OF SATURN).

Following some line-up changes and writing for a new album, Dreams In Peril recruited a second guitarist, Lucas Munoz, and a new vocalist Dakota Otte. Consolidating the band lineup as the most devastating yet, Dreams In Peril entered the studio to record a new yet-to-be-released album in 2022 titled ‘Ascending’.

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – May 23, 2022

Haiduk Deliver An Explosive Barrage of Dark Lore In Music Video for “Morph” Off “Diabolica”

Haiduk, the solo project of Luka Milojica is an unrelenting, hypnotic force that greets listeners with a barrage of death-infused black metal that is prominently displayed on the latest release “Diabolica”, which was released in September last year. Now, Haiduk is releasing a music video for the single “Morph”. The entirety of Haiduk‘s discography, which spans four full lengths, takes place in the fantasy medieval realm of Callost, the different albums feature maps, descriptions, and stories set in the world. Milojica explains the album and the single in further detail:

“Pure evil, speed, and darkness, “Diabolica” is fast and crushing like a volcanic eruption., it ties together the dark lore of the previous albums with new stories, maps, and a timeline. “Morph” was one of the first songs written for “Diabolica”. It’s about a shape-shifting demon who can take the form of a shadow-being. I wanted the song to have a dark atmosphere and have a lot of energy and speed.”

Like the album art depicts, “Diabolica” is an eruption of pent-up anger and power. Every song on the album is about building momentum and speed and blasting the listener with constantly evolving riffs and melodies. With pure speed and relentless riff attacks, the album crushes and keeps you on edge through aggressive arrangements as well as melodic and hypnotizing parts that create a mysterious atmosphere.

Haiduk was created to be the channel for Milojica’s dark musical desires, turning his ideas into a solo project was inspired by acts such as Vintersorg and others from Sweden and Norway. Lightning-fast, and bursting with energy, Haiduk is recommended for fans of Bolt Thrower, Vomitory, and Dissection.

About:
Haiduk is the death metal solo project by guitarist Luka Milojica. The project arose with the raw demo – ‘Plagueswept’ in 2010.

Working in solitude, Haiduk unveiled the full-length debut ‘Spellbook’ in 2012; a black magic conjuring of fast guitars and powerful riff attacks. Invoking spells of demonic strength, Haiduk raised forces from the infernal depths, sealing arcane powers into the ‘Demonicon’ in 2015; a blackened tome of blasting distortion. Chanting words of astral terror, Haiduk became the ‘Exomancer’ (2018); summoner of cosmic darkness.

Frozen in darkness under the ash cloud, the desolate ground opens. Octavia erupts, releasing the doomed king from the burning abyss. Devils swarm, carving a path of destruction for a new demonic domain – Diabolica (2021).

0 M-Theory Audio – Out Now! New Album + PAGAN METAL PIONEERS HELSOTT UNVEIL MUSIC VIDEO FOR “BABYLON: SCARLETT’S SALOON”

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – May 20, 2022

M-Theory Audio – PAGAN METAL PIONEERS HELSOTT UNVEIL MUSIC VIDEO FOR “BABYLON: SCARLETT’S SALOON”

New record, ‘Will and The Witch,’ out today; Live performances coming up this summer

HELSOTT – America’s leading pagan metal band – has unveiled “Babylon: Scarlett’s Saloon,” the music video for the latest single from their brand-new concept album, “Will and The Witch,” released today. Available on CD, a limited-edition gold double vinyl, and digital editions are now available at retail or online now or check http://smarturl.com/helsott. A video, shot on location at Whitehorse Ranch in Landers, CA, was premiered today by Metal Injection – https://metalinjection.net/video/helsott-drinks-heavily-in-new-single-babylon-scarletts-saloon. HELSOTT has also announced a flurry of live performances along the West Coast coming up in June 2022, alongside symphonic black metal mystics Malphas from Philadelphia. Full tour dates are below.

Says vocalist Eric Dow, “The story of the album can get pretty grim at times so it’s important to have some fun songs. Our fans love our ‘drinking songs’ so we made the ultimate Helsott drinking song!”

HELSOTT‘s new album, “Will and The Witch,” is a concept record that tells a fictional story about how Billy The Kid became the fastest gunfighter in the wild west. The first taste of music from the new album was unleashed with a visualizer video for the title track, which can be viewed at https://youtu.be/Gok7aEiO1Ys. The group followed this up with the professional music video for “I’ll Make Ya Famous,” which can be viewed at https://youtu.be/Bvj_5Nhs8M0. The group then released a visualizer video for the song, “Independence Night,” which featured guest vocals from Tim “Ripper” Owens (formerly of Judas Priest, Iced Earth, and Yngwie Malmsteen) and can be viewed at https://youtu.be/5Iq3yGT6Zrg.

HELSOTT returns to its musical roots on “Will and The Witch” with heavier thrash overtones and less orchestral work than their prior record, while catching listeners off-guard with new influences befitting of the album’s theme. thrash metal, power metal, and death metal all converge with acoustic campfire segments, Southern banjo and fiddle, and Native American-inspired hand drums and flutes. The end result is a record that is musically ambitious while remaining melodic, heavy, and true to the underlying sound of HELSOTT.

The band’s latest effort – mixed and mastered by J-F Dagenais (Kataklysm, Misery Index, Ex Deo) and featuring artwork by Felipe Machado Franco (Blind Guardian, Rhapsody, Gamma Ray) – is augmented by a who’s who of heavy hitters. In addition to Owens, HELSOTT is joined on “Will and The Witch” by percussionist Vladimir Reshetnikov (Arkona, Imperial Age), guitarist/bassist Freddie Vidales (Ashes of Ares, Iced Earth), violinist Lethien (Elvenking), guitarist Kevin Storm (Heidevolk, Autumn, Fleetburner), guitarist Bjorn Friedrichsen (Withered Moon, Sanguineus) and Whistlin’ Rick Storey.

Since their formation, the California-based HELSOTT – whose name means “fatal illness” in Old Norse – has paid homage to pagan cultures, mythology, and history while keeping true to their American influences. The group’s unique mix of folk metal, death metal, symphonic metal, thrash, classical, and rock was first unveiled to the world with the 2012 release of their debut EP “Fólkvangr.” The band soon caught the attention of audiences on a larger scale during the 2013 Paganfest North American tour, where they performed with Ensiferum, Tyr, and Trollfest. That tour set the stage for the 2014 release of “Woven,” which was supported by tours alongside Arkona and Heidevolk.

In the years since the original release of “Woven,” HELSOTT signed with M-Theory Audio, released another EP (2017’s “The Healer”) and a second full-length (2018’s “Slaves and Gods”), and logged many touring miles worldwide with artists including Korpiklaani, Arkona, I Am Morbid, Necrophagia, Tengger Cavalry, Ashes of Ares, Felix Martin, Skyforger and Finsterforst. In addition, the band performed at major European festivals such as Wacken Open Air and Cernunnos Pagan Fest. “Woven” was also remixed, remastered, and re-released by M-Theory Audio in November 2020 in celebration of the group’s 10th anniversary.

This year will not just see the release of HELSOTT‘s new album, “Will and The Witch,” but will also see the band’s return to the live stage. American fans along the West Coast will get an opportunity in June 2022 to experience the band’s power live with performances alongside Philadelphia’s Malphas. HELSOTT has also been confirmed to play England’s HRH Vikings 2022, with more to come throughout 2022.

0 Rockshots Records – Karmic Link Posts Cyberpunk Lyric Video “The Tone of C”

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – May 20, 2022

Rockshots Records – Karmic Link Posts Cyberpunk Lyric Video “The Tone of C”

Karmic Link return with a new cyberpunk video for the song “The Tone of C” from their album “Dark Metropolis”, which was released worldwide in 2018 by Rockshots Records.

As described by Stathis Kassios, mastermind and founder of Karmic Link:

“We are currently at SoundHouse Studios Athens where we are mixing our new, upcoming, 4th album. We are very excited about the result. The recordings of the guitars and bass took place at Twilight Cloud Studio in Nashville, Tennessee, by our guitarist Evan Hensley (ex-Nightfall, Dark Hound) and with a guest participation by ET Brown (Dark Hound).

As a necessary artistic break from the demands of our new album, we wanted to visualize one of the most alternative tracks -The Tone of C- from our previous album “Dark Metropolis”. This track does not contain any guitar solos or lead guitars on purpose. It balances sonically between dark metal, industrial, and rock ‘n’ roll, funk, electro, influences. We have been experimenting with each of our releases since 2006, the year Karmic Link was formed. We hope you will like the result! ”

Watch the new video here: https://youtu.be/mNkO1AdzSzk

Karmic Link‘s album “Dark Metropolis” was released on October 19th, 2018. The album features nine tracks of dark industrial coldness with Mediterranean energy along with atmospheric landscapes, progressive and instrumental madness, electro breakdowns plus hard rock pentatonic moments. The album is the third full length from the band to follow their two previous albums “Esoterica”(2010) and debut “No Light But Rather Darkness Visible”(2008).

Karmic Link was founded by Stathis Kassios (Nightfall, ex-System Shock) whom after a period of extensive recording and live experience wanted to give birth to a surrealistic musical project. The outcome has been a dose of dark industrial coldness with Mediterranean energy along with atmospheric landscapes, progressive and instrumental madness, electro breakdowns plus hard rock pentatonic moments.

Track Listing:
1. Random Phantom (3:09)
2. Dark Metropolis (3:39)
3. The Ton of C (3:23)
4. False Spots On The Highway (3:47)
5. Your Fire Will Burn For Centuries (4:00)
6. RiaMa (1:58)
7. Endless (4:03)
8. Lost Magic Alchemy (3:15)
9. Nostalgia (4:26)

0 Rockshots Records – Out Now! SANDNESS New Album “Play Your Part” + New Video “Someone So Bad”

  • May 20, 2022
  • by Asher
  • · Music News · Sandness

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – May 20, 2022

Rockshots Records – Out Now! SANDNESS New Album “Play Your Part” + New Video “Someone So Bad”

Italian classic 80’s hair metal-inspired band SANDNESS fourth studio album entitled “Play Your Part” is now available via Rockshots Records as of May 20th. The album follows their two previous released records on Rockshots Records, 2020 EP “Enter Please (2020) and 2019 LP “Untamed”.

Today, to celebrate the record’s release, SANDNESS are sharing their new video for the single “Someone So Bad”.

“This is a love song, a love letter written by a musician who spends a lot of time far away from their better half while touring around the world. In the chorus you can also hear a female voice (for the first time in a Sandness song), that’s Maria Grazia Zancopè, the lead singer of Perpetual Fate.”

Listen and watch “Someone So Bad” at https:/youtu.be/O49V3MVqauc

SANDNESS‘ new album is produced, mixed, and mastered by Michele Guaitoli and features twelve original tracks including a bonus cover version of KISS’ “Turn On The Night”. The lyrics written for the full length give an insight into how the band kept themselves busy and entertained during the first lockdown in the spring of 2020.

“We think that our fans won’t be disappointed, we worked hard on this album, and without live gigs over the last 2 years due to Covid 19, we had a lot of time and energy to put into it. The songs are catchy and easy to listen to. We want this album to be the getaway from your typical stressful everyday life. We want people to feel good when they listen to our songs. Our music brings you to a dimension where everything is solvable with some dance moves or some headbanging. Give you the bright side of things to escape the difficult times.” adds the band.

“Play Your Part” is a different kind of animal from SANDNESS‘ previous releases, due to the lockdown, they had more time to think and work on the songs. They also worked a lot more closely with producer Michele Guaitoli, who helped them bring their music to the next level. The new album is more mature and inspired by different styles: hard rock, classic rock, heavy metal, 70’s rock n’ roll, but also pop music from different decades.

“Play Your Part” is available as of May 20, 2022.

0 Saudi Melo-Death IMMORTAL PAIN Make A Triumphant Return With New Single “Unhealed”

  • May 19, 2022

  • · Immortal Pain · Music News

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – May 19, 2022

Saudi Melo-Death IMMORTAL PAIN Make A Triumphant Return With New Single “Unhealed”

Immortal Pain, from Saudi Arabia, have been together since 2005, ripping up local stages with their take on melodic death metal. It has been a long time since they released music, but they are breaking their silence with a stand-alone single “Unhealed” via label Wall of Sound Dark Mode. The band firmly believes listeners will love this single as it will deliver an all-new original track that resembles the classic Immortal Pain vibes and energy with a modernized sound. They share the listener experience that fans can expect:

“They will be experiencing a deeply emotional story, musically speaking, with some old-school melodic death metal sounds, catchy riffs, inspirational lyrics, and limitless feelings. This will also be our first official single after releasing the original 2007 demo tracks EP “Origin Demoes” in 2021.”

“Unhealed” is a straightforward, deep track that offers motivating energy and amazing melodies. Over the years, the sound of Immortal Pain has definitely developed, as they have matured musically. They have been playing together for over a decade, and the chemistry is apparent. They continue to experiment with different sounds and techniques, but they don’t stray too far from the classic sound and style that they have become known for.

Immortal Pain’s live shows are packed with energetic, exciting fun as they consider each gig to be a celebration with their fans in a mutual love for music. They always give a 110% on the music and fan experience, as it is what they deserve. Along with playing live gigs this year, Immortal Pain will also be working on a number of singles, so fans can expect a lot more noise from the group.

Immortal Pain is powerful and melodic, adding an edge to typical melodic death metal. They incorporate personal themes to drive home the passion and emotion even more. They are recommended for fans of Iron Maiden, Metallica, and Arch Enemy.

The single ‘Unhealed” will be released on May 20, 2022, and can be streamed and downloaded on digital platforms at the following link – https://linktr.ee/immortalpainofficial

The Sacramento-based quintet GRAVESHADOW – who deftly mixes symphonic/gothic metal with elements of doom, thrash and epic progressive power metal – have unveiled “The Swordsman,” the latest single from their forthcoming album, “The Uncertain Hour.” The band’s third album will be released July 15, 2022. “The Swordsman” is also special as it features guest vocals from Chelsea Murphy (Dawn of Ouroboros, Cailleach Calling, Tegmentum). GRAVESHADOW will also begin their West Coast tour on the same day at Barmadeggon in Tulare, CA, performing alongside Pacific Northwest blackened progressive-metal group VINTERSEA on “The Uncertain Hour Tour 2022” through Saturday, July 23rd at Cafe Colonial in Sacramento, CA. Full tour dates are below. In the meantime, the streaming audio visualized for “The Swordsman” can be viewed at https://youtu.be/WnFOUN9S4aw and pre-orders for CD and limited-edition (200) vinyl copies of GRAVESHADOW‘s upcoming third album, “The Uncertain Hour,” are available at www.smarturl.com/graveshadow.

“I’m really excited to release ‘The Swordsman’ which has kind of snuck up on me as another favorite off the record, explains GRAVESHADOW vocalist Rachl “Raxx” Quinn. “The interplay of the clean and harsh vocals was something I was thrilled with the outcome on. The way they support each other really adds a great dynamic to the song. As a band it was great to have Chelsea guest on the track, her performance is absolutely incredible!”

“The Uncertain Hour” – produced by Miss May I guitarist Justin Aufdemkampe (Clutch, War of Ages), mastered by Alberto De Icaza (Crobot, Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist) and featuring artwork by Roman Ismaylov (Battle Beast, Beast In Black) – sees the new lineup for GRAVESHADOW continue to refine their enticing mix of symphonic, gothic, doom, and epic progressive-metal elements, now augmented by the newfound energy that has been brought into the band by the soaring melodic performance of new vocalist Rachl “Raxx” Quinn and the rumbling rhythm section of new bassist Luci Rae and new drummer Bones Padilla (formerly of labelmates Cultural Warfare). The returning guitar duo of William Lloyd Walker and Aaron Robitsch once again deliver a beautiful display of guitar histrionics that tastefully mixes searing shred with a warm melody. Graveshadow are back on the scene with a story to tell. Intertwining melodic highs and crushing lows to sweep listeners away on a journey of self-discovery, loss and the will to carry on.

The first taste of new music from “The Uncertain Hour” was unveiled in March 2022 with the music video for “Soldier of 34,” which can be viewed at https://youtu.be/qXDzhkfRjuM. The new lineup for GRAVESHADOW initially began to take form with the release of their May 2020 single “Gwynnbleidd.” Inspired by the Witcher series, the song showcased the return of the band with the debuts of Quinn and Rae, and can be heard here https://youtu.be/XrorDG70g3Q.

GRAVESHADOW‘s previous album, 2018’s “Ambition’s Price,” was given accolades by Metal Utopia for being “a great record with lots of great moments for fans of Nightwish and The Birthday Massacre.” Metal Nation praised “Ambition’s Price,” declaring that “GRAVESHADOW has taken what has become a somewhat complacent and stagnant style of metal and breathed fresh life into it, creating something vibrant and memorable.” The fantastical lyrical themes that were explored by the band on “Ambition’s Price” – their debut record for M-Theory Audio and the follow-up to the group’s incubatory 2015 debut full-length “Nocturnal Resurrection” – were applauded by critics and fans alike. The band followed the release of “Ambition’s Price” by winning over new audiences with extensive touring alongside bands such as Arkona, Sirenia, Exmortus, Night Demon, and Unleash The Archers.

Thirteen Goats Serve Up A Platter Of Death Metal With “Return to Ruin” Off “Servants of the Outer Dark”

Debut Album Out July 1st, 2022

Vancouver’s Thirteen Goats are inspired by classic American death metal acts like Deicide and Cannibal Corpse, and they have their feast of a debut album ready for discerning metalheads the world over. “Servants of the Outer Dark” is a sonic trip that winds down the most twisted sections of extreme metal’s memory lane on a journey to wicked new horizons. The band weaves together conventions from numerous extreme metal subgenres on songs that range from topical to tongue-in-cheek—some are overtly political, while others are about things like cooking and eating your enemies. The first single off the album is “Return to Ruin”, which vocalist/guitarist Graham K. Miles explains in detail:

“Return to Ruin came from a place of deep anger with a number of institutions and systems that I feel are failing the current generation—predominantly governments and large corporations that are waging war, both literally and economically, against everyday people around the world. From the widespread mismanagement of a global pandemic to increasing wealth inequality, an ongoing environmental crisis, a rising tide of political extremism, and now a new Cold War with Russia’s ongoing invasion of Ukraine, we are living in the midst of extremely dark times—and the people who are supposed to shepherd us through them seem to be leading us to the slaughterhouse instead of towards greener pastures.

“All of the current live band members have roots in Eastern Europe—we have one Ukrainian (me), two Russians, and an Armenian. But all of us are against the war and against people who use power unjustly. This song is intended to be a call to arms—a protest anthem that invites listeners to question authority figures and the systems they’ve set up, and to burn those systems down if they’re not working so we can start over with something better. Like we say in the lyrics: “Sacrifice the ones you’re serving; ask yourself what they’re preserving.”

Heavy, hooky, theatrical, and over-the-top, Thirteen Goats takes the standard death metal recipe and turns it on its head without sacrificing raw power. They liberally add flavours from a wide range of other metal subgenres including tech death, melodeath, brutal death metal, groove metal, thrash metal, black metal, and even grindcore, resulting in a well-blended and tasty layered sound that is approachable for any metalhead.

The album was produced by the band, mixed and mastered by Diego Fernandez-Trujillo, and the album artwork was done by Jeremy Famir. It is suggested for fans of Carcass, Cannibal Corpse, and Deicide.

The single “Return To Ruin” can be heard via its premiere on NoCleanSinging HERE.

The album “Servants of the Outer Dark” will be served up on July 1, 2022.

About:
Eclectic, over-the-top, and just a little weird, THIRTEEN GOATS takes cues from some of extreme metal’s most infamous acts (Death, Carcass, Cannibal Corpse) to create a tongue-in-cheek blend of different genre hallmarks that’s as hooky as it is heavy. This ain’t your dad’s death metal, but we kept the best parts. Horns up!

This past April, Toronto’s My Hollow marked their return to the Canadian metal scene with the release of their new EP “Fighting The Monsters”, which features guest vocals from Bjorn ‘Speed’ Strid (Soilwork). The band supported the EP with the very loved puppet video “Vultures” and a cartoon for the EP’s title track. The new record boasts the heaviest music that they have written along with the addition of keyboards to add a new layer of epic melodies.

With a cohesive mix of epic riffs, today the band is sharing their solo playthrough for “Hell Or High Water” played by guitarist Danio Pirrone. The guitar parts for the song were originally written by bassist Sean De Faria.

Watch the shred via Technical Music Review HERE.

My Hollow started via the internet many years ago and has had some lineup changes since then. As they have matured, so has the music and they are excited to share their latest version of themselves with the world. The band expects newer fans, as well as established ones, will be able to find tangible qualities to enjoy about the new EP. The new tunes don’t stray too far from their back catalogue, but they do possess more of a mature approach to the songwriting. The addition of keyboardist Matt Williams has also added a new dimension to the My Hollow sound. The band is suitable for fans of modern metal, especially those with a penchant for Fit For An Autopsy, Gojira, and Lamb of God.

“Fighting The Monsters” was released on April 8th and available on all digital platforms including https://myhollow.bandcamp.com

About:
hollow: (1) a place or area that is lower than the area around it.
(2) an empty space inside of something.

The definitions of the word hollow describe My Hollow fittingly. With intense riffs and passages seamlessly giving way to lower, heavier parts in a lock-up, chunked out style with mutes leaving empty space in an otherwise chaotic sequence.

Based out of the Toronto area, My Hollow boasts a cast of independent metal journeymen, hungry to be heavier, tighter and more engaging with every song. Applying advice and drawing experience from performing alongside some of Canada’s biggest metal exports; The Agonist, Cryptopsy, Threat Signal, Beneath The Massacre among others. My Hollow as a whole can draw from a multitude of influences, not only from metal but from other genres as well, reflected in both their recorded releases as well as their live performance. Described by Danish webzine Power Of Metal as “five pissed off Canadians ready to tear my head off!” As well as “all the subtlety of a two-ton anvil slamming down on a set of pearly whites” by US based heavy metal blog, Heavy Metal Time Machine.

My Hollow has two official releases, 2012’s ‘Cold Dark Days EP’ featuring four demo versions of songs which were reworked and reimagined on 2014’s ‘On Borrowed Time’ full length release featuring My Hollow’s most refined and focused work to date.

Like any band, My Hollow has had its highs and lows. Being selected as a finalist for the annual Wacken Metal Battle Canada 2013 solidified My Hollow as one of Toronto’s, as well as Canada’s top metal acts and announced themselves to a broader spectrum of listeners. Although narrowly missing out on a spot to perform in Germany at heavy metal’s premier festival the experience proved to strengthen the bands resolve and galvanize their confidence in the process.

While the band’s recorded releases give the listener an idea of what My Hollow is about, the live performance is where My Hollow truly shine. “With a crushing wave of energy, and sound, My Hollow filled the venue with their effervescent presence. The lads never disappoint on stage,” is how Toronto based metal publication Metal Master Kingdom described their experience.

With a new EP “Fighting The Monsters”, which includes guest vocals from Bjorn Strid (Soilwork) due out in 2022 and an ever-evolving sound and live performance, My Hollow strive to become an ever-present staple in the Canadian and global metal scene and will stop at nothing to leave you hollow, and wanting more.

Discography:
2022 – Fighting The Monsters (EP)
2020 – iSolation (Single)
2018 – And Now We Fall (Single)
2015 – On Borrowed Time (LP)
2013 – Cold Dark Days (EP)

Shared Stage with:
The Agonist, Beyond Creation, Cryptopsy, Soilwork, Unearth, Battlecross, Fit For An Autopsy, Wretched, War Of Ages, SkullFist, Neck Of The Woods, Operus, Kill Devil Hill, Vital Remains, Warbringer, Beneath The Massacre. As well as (relatively) local bands: Insurrection, Centuries Of Decay, Sludgehammer, Astaroth Incarnate, BornBroken, Lutharo, Tortured Saint, Burning The Day.

Get Educated With REBEL PRIEST’s Rock N’ Roll Music Video “Lesson In Love”

New EP “Lesson In Love” Out June 24th

West Coast Canadian Tour Dates w/ Deadwolff

L-R – Jayme Black – Vocals/Bass, Nate Pole – Drums/Vocals, Benny Kemp – Guitars/Vocals

Vancouver’s Rebel Priest has been bringing its eclectic brand of rock n’ roll to fans for years in a true unadulterated, unapologetic fashion. A little bit greasy, a little bit sassy, but 100% committed, they have released four records, with a fifth on its way this year. “Lesson In Love” is the name of the upcoming EP as well as the first single, an untraditional ballad, like a love song sung by a Tommy gun. According to the band, it’s about going through the trials and tribulations of loving something – the ups, the downs, the spirals, but without the direct subject being a person. The band explains further:

“It’s open-ended in that it is what you love or love doing and how it’s a journey that can always find a way home. There’s always that one thing in your life that keeps you going, a person, a hobby, a theology. No matter what your vice is, it always comes at a price. You have to go through the blood, sweat, and tears to get what you need outta it and it doesn’t always come easy. This is your education, your lesson in love.”

When people put on the new record, Rebel Priest intends for them to forget about everything else, take a break from the grind, and get pumped! Whether you’re working out, going out, or down and out, put it on and play it loud! Get into it and go wild! Their music is fluid, they find a riff and then follow it where it wants to go. They say it’s just about finding the groove and cruising the wave.

Rebel Priest is headed out on tour with Toronto’s Deadwolff this summer, and spectators are in for a rock n roll treat – guitarist/vocalist Benny Kemp is the embodiment of a denim tornado; that guy will (and has) break his legs to party on stage! Drummer/vocalist Nate Pole is a groovin’ attitudn’ mean machine behind the drums that will sometimes make a wood chipper look like a pencil sharpener on those skins. As for vocalist/bassist Jayme Black, he’s a bit of a mouthpiece and likes his bass real gritty.

The trio just wants to bring rock n roll back to street level, when it was outlaw music for the underdog, so expect a greasy, sweaty, down and dirty rock show. They are recommended for fans of Motörhead, ZZ Top, and Rose Tattoo.

The music video “Lesson In Love” can be seen and heard via its premiere on Bravewords HERE.

The EP comes out on June 24, 2022 via Batcave Records.

About:
Rebel Priest is a no-nonsense, real-deal rock n’ roll band composed of three seasoned musicians who have been making their way through the Western Canadian rock n roll scene for years. Vocalist/bassist Jayme Black (Lust Boys, The Toxiks); guitarist/vocalist Benny Kemp (Lust Boys, Road Rash); and drummer/vocalist Nate Pole (Kill Matilda, The Toxiks) bring nothing but unadulterated, high energy grease infused Trash N’ Roll!

The band has had the pleasure of touring Japan, and performing alongside bands such as Udo (Accept), Lordi, Diamond Head, Crystal Pistol, Flotsam, and Jetsam along with playing many headlining gigs with the energy of Motorhead meets Motley Crue. Since forming in 2014, the band has released three studio albums “R’ley Heavy” (2019), Enabler (2017 ), Self-Titled (2015) along with one live record “Dead Alive @ SBC (2017).

Now in 2022, they are offering up a slab of new music in the shape of a new EP “Lesson In Love” via Batcave Records/Thundermoose Entertainment on June 24th to follow their 2021 EP “Lost In Tokyo”. The forthcoming EP “Lesson In Love” is four tracks that ready’s fans to hear the band’s NWOTHM influences along with their brand of slurry heavy Rock n Roll.

Compared to last year’s EP “Lost In Tokyo”, which was written in Japan at the very end of 2019 about their adventures in the country, “Lesson In Love” takes a new avenue as they explain:

“On this EP, we really tried to lighten it up and go back to the energy and feel that got us playing in the first place, music for and adventure or memory-making music! The soundtrack for that summer you’ll never forget or that time you did that thing and you’ll always think of it when you hear this song. It’s a feel-good and takes no prisoners combo at the same time!”

Rebel Priest is recommended for fans of Guns n’ Roses, AC/DC and Motley Crue.
