NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – November 30, 2022

SEVENTH STATION Unveil Proggy, Eclectic Video “Unspoken Thoughts” Shot Across Three Countries (Slovenia, Turkey, Israel)

New Album “Heal the Unhealed” Out Now!

Seventh Station is a progressive metal band based in Slovenia that has just released their second album “Heal the Unhealed”. The record is an international effort – rehearsed and recorded through five different studios in three continents ranging from the United States, Slovenia, and Turkey. A new level of musicality and artistic expression blends magnificent sweeps, heavy riffs, and intricate melodies together, creating an eclectic proggy frame for personal topics. They now have a music video for their single “Unspoken Thoughts”.

The band describes the sound of the album, as the sound of a panic attack, and a progressive assault on the ears, very much for the open-minded, and not at all for the weak-hearted. Musically, this album commands that the listener elects to take the long path rather than seek instant gratification and it promises to be very satisfying for those who manage to go through the entire orchard. The band comments on the single “Unspoken Thoughts”:

“Unspoken Thoughts” is the opening track of the record, setting the tone and the general mood. Its form is unusually close to a regular song form for us, in terms of the structure of sections. It is also the first music video production we shot, taking place in three different countries (Slovenia, Turkey, and Israel). It is the first time we see all the band members performing in a music video and playing their instruments. The song talks about unresolved and unprocessed things one keeps inside and how eventually it explodes in a shattering way.”

Guitarist Dmitri Alperovich shares that he always feels like there’s a lot of room for exploration in both writing and composition, and approaches the tracks not as songs, but rather as classical music forms. It was only natural for him to blend these two different disciplines together – from a strictly classical music approach into the progressive metal where they keep reinventing the rules.

“Unspoken Thoughts” is recommended for fans of Pain of Salvation, Frank Zappa, and Dream Theater and can be seen and heard via its video premiere on TheCirclePit – https://youtu.be/blLWRyeZ7QM

About: Seventh Station is a progressive metal band based in Slovenia, led by Israeli Guitarist Dmitri Alperovich and Turkish Keyboardist Eren Başbuğ. Constructing their sound by fusing progressive metal with contemporary classical music, the band’s new album Healed the Unhealed is their second full-length record, released independently. Featuring an international lineup, Davidavi “Vidi” Dolev (Vocals), Jure Lopatic (Bass), and Grega Plamberger (Drums). On their new record, Seventh Station adds to their “on the edge” performances and compositions more blood, more sweat, and more tears.

Formed between the Academy of Music & Dance in Jerusalem and Berklee College of Music in Boston, Seventh Station released its debut album Between Life and Dreams in 2016. After relocating to Europe and a few line-up changes, Alperovich and Başbuğ knew no borders in the search for uncompromising compositions and musical executors, progressive and challenging. After several tours between the Middle East and post-Yugoslavia, the band gathered together on recording ‘Heal the Unhealed’. Inspired by the Second World War and the Soviet Union, the album is an hour-long reflection in the eyes of Alperovich, who was born in Minsk, Belarus, moved to Israel and eventually found his way to Slovenia. Featuring surrealistic epos, harnessing the band’s skillful abilities in order to express Kafkaesque situations, Heal the Unhealed examines resemblances between dictatorships and the personality disorders of an artist.

Seventh Station is now gearing up for their upcoming record Heal the Unhealed released on November 7th, 2022, along with a supporting tour through Europe and the Middle East, to be announced later this Fall.

“This album creates and destroys barriers, making a point to invoke drama about the Second World War. The band has explored every aspect of orchestration in the form of King Crimson and dements the Frank Zappa sound that bombards the listener. They present complex arrangements and deep intricate movements. These are both alienating and perfect forms of musical momentum. Each phase has been constructed by the composer to invoke the sonic dissonance of the Stalin era of the Soviet Union.” – Caved Weller Music

“Heal the Unhealed will bring tears of joy to those who are open to the unconventional and appreciate brilliant musicians who know how to express themselves creatively in the best possible way, away from the commercial pressure of big labels.” – Skull News

“SEVENTH STATION is one of my most important discoveries in 2022. “Heal the Unleaded” has everything from a great album: complexity, double meanings, references, alternation (from drama to caricature), execution to cord, perfect fit between music and subject and, above all, it’s clever and excellently produced. If you “get inside” you will not get out until you have discovered all the subtleties it contains.” – Plus Prog de Vous

“The guys definitely show that they are a very up-and-coming, well-thought-out Progressive Metal band”. – MetalUnderground.at

Breakdowns And Progressive Metal Intertwine in THE WRING’s “From Mars” ft. Marco Minnemann

New Album “Spectra” Out Dec 16th, 2022 via WormHoleDeath Records

Canada’s The Wring is gearing up to release a third album next month, which is an expansive progressive metal offering that gives plenty of attention to different styles, making it diverse enough for metalheads of all kinds. The band was brought together by solo artist Don Dewulf, who has enlisted an impressive group of professional musicians that includes Marco Minnemann (The Aristocrats), Chandler Mogel, Reggie Hache, and Isamu McGregor to bring the project to life. Now, there is a second single “From Mars” available that will show another side of the album “Spectra”. Dewulf comments on the single:

“This is one of my favourite songs on the record. Somewhat autobiographical, I think. As a younger person, I really struggled in crowds, especially ones in which I did not belong; which was most. If you’ve ever felt like a complete alien in a room full of people, you will relate! I am very proud of the middle breakdown. Some cool chords and a very fun solo. Another great performance by Chandler and by Reggie who played some killer bass and also came up with the spooky little piano line in the verses.”

The music video for “From Mars”‘ featuring Marco Minnemann can be seen and heard via its premiere on TheProgSpace HERE.

Digital single – https://orcd.co/frommars

The last album “Project Cipher” (2021), was very well received globally, garnering great reviews and lots of positive feedback. “Spectra” carries on in the same tradition and headspace as its predecessor, but according to Dewulf, the songs are a bit fuller and more cohesive. He is hoping it brings new excitement to the listener.

He continues to explain that “Spectra” is maybe a bit like a 1970’s King Crimson album, but without any ethereal soliloquies and certainly with a more significant hard rock/metal influence. It is a cauldron of hard rock, jazz, metal, classical, 80’s rock, 70’s rock, and probably a few other things. It is recommended for fans of Dream Theatre, Opeth, and Porcupine Tree.

“Spectra” is due out on December 16, 2022, via WormHoleDeath Records.

““Wring² Project Cipher comes with a heavy, classic rock feel, but there’s an epic, questing nature to tunes like Sorceress, Steelier and Dose that pushes The Wring beyond metal norms and into prog territory.” – Prog Magazine

“The extreme professionalism on display throughout this entire album, although a labour of love, is a true master class of musicianship performed by musicians who are truly at the top of their game, making the industry what it is today. The sheer attention to detail is a credit to each and every performer as they tailor their craft neatly and precisely throughout every track, with nothing less than perfect being the order of the day.” – Stargazer Music Magazine

“Overall, the entire album is laden with a rich tapestry of sound and lyrics, well thought out and carefully developed by founder member and visionary Don Dewulf, taking the listener on that perfect journey of thought, and is a credit to its makers gathering no dust in any collection. 10/10” – Stargazer Music Magazine

“Thanks to his renowned session musicians and original compositions, The Wring is a refreshing discovery that offers a personal reading of modern metal. 4/5” – Music Waves

“What sounds at first to be a straight-forward rock album, turns out to be so much more. It’s a tad short, but sometimes less is more. You can hear many influences in these tracks, some of them familiar, but The Wring have stamped their own identity all over it. This should keep you going for the time being but expect more from Don Dewulf with The Wring3 already in the recording stage!” – The Prog Space

“Dewulf’s guitar work shines throughout, at times reminiscent of Alex Lifeson in his prime, such as his powerful solo on ‘Steelier’ which soars above the raging musical maelstrom below. There’s even a funk-infused breakout on ‘Dose’, which is infectious with its driving hook. It’s an absorbing record, one that takes time to soak in, but several plays ensure that it’s burnt deep into the memory. When those end-of-year lists come round, ‘Wring² Project Cipher’ is likely to be pushing for a slot.” – The Razor’s Edge

“The Wring generally succeed at what they’re going for—Dewulf has produced a fun, catchy record. Particularly on the album’s middle section (“Cipher,” “Steelier” and “Dissension”), there’s some great songs with great riffs. If you’re after some new prog, you could do a lot worse than this album, and I found it quite hard to score.” – Angry Metal Guy

“The overall sound is something like the heavier side of Rush, with hooks and melodic elements smoothing out the guitar crunch, making this very accessible.” – The Progressive Aspect

0 MALICE DIVINE Announces Empowering Extreme Metal Sophomore Album “Everlasting Ascendancy”

  • November 29, 2022

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – November 29, 2022

MALICE DIVINE Announces Empowering Extreme Metal Sophomore Album “Everlasting Ascendancy”

Driven by a passion for dark brutal music and the desire to have full creative control, Toronto’s Ric Galvez created his one-man project Malice Divine. It allows him to weave extreme black metal together with his interests such as the paranormal, spirituality, and psychology along with lived experiences. The debut self-titled able was released in 2021 and now that is being followed up with “Everlasting Ascendancy”, a dynamic experience that is more aggressive than the first, especially in the vocal delivery, but there is still plenty of melody and catchiness to be found within. Galvez shares his excitement for the record:

“I am incredibly excited to finally have the sophomore Malice Divine album “Everlasting Ascendancy” released into the world! With this album, I am aiming to have the listener feel empowered and inspired to go after what they want in life and not settle for less. I poured my heart and soul into this album, which will be apparent both musically and lyrically. Despite the music obviously being extreme metal, that doesn’t stop me from writing about very personal matters. A lot of the songs on this album have complex song structures, but there is also a lot of catchiness and melody to make this album a very memorable listen, nonetheless. All in all, I am incredibly proud of this album, and I can’t wait for everyone to hear it!”

The message of Malice Divine is one of empowerment and that message can be found throughout all eight tracks on “Everlasting Ascendancy” in some shape or form. According to Galvez, there is plenty of melodies to be found within the classical guitar sections, which is a major part of Malice Divine’s sound. The solos on this album are even more virtuosic than before as well. Lyrically the album explores themes such as the paranormal, revenge, determination, spirituality, and reclamation. Two of the eight songs on this album are quite old, even older than most of the music on the self-titled debut album.

Recommended for fans of Dissection, Immortal, Skeletonwitch, and Watain, “Everlasting Ascendancy” comes out on January 27, 2023.

About: Toronto, Canada’s Malice Divine is a solo project conceived by Ric Galvez, who had always had the dream of being the leader of his own project. He wanted to expand beyond being known as just a lead guitarist, into also being known as a songwriter, vocalist, and frontman. Ric has played in local bands previously and was a contestant on Banger TV’s Shredders of Metal Seasons 1 & 2.

Ric has a major in music from York University, and through Malice Divine he shows off his vocal, guitar, and bass prowess. His lyrics are inspired by psychology, spirituality, as well as personal experiences that involve the overcoming of obstacles and hardships, using the resulting verses as a form of empowerment.

The second offering from Malice Divine, entitled “Everlasting Ascendancy”, will be released in early 2023. Once again it features Ric Galvez on Vocals, Guitars, & Bass, as well as Dylan Gowan (Vesperia, Banger TV) playing session drums. Malice Divine is also currently transitioning from being a solo project into being a band effort, and is set to start performing live in 2023. What people can expect from seeing Malice Divine live is highly aggressive black and death metal-inspired music, with shreddy and virtuosic guitar solos that add a melodic layer that isn’t common in the genre.

Malice Divine’s sophomore album “Everlasting Ascendancy” is set to be released January 27th, 2023.

“Malice Divine hop back and forth between coming off like a death metal band doing covers of stuff they’ve recorded as a black metal band and coming off like a black metal band doing covers of stuff they’re recorded as a death metal band.”- Decibel Magazine

“Whether you’re into death metal, progressive metal, or epic metal, this album ticks all of those boxes effortlessly.” – Powerplay Magazine

“What exactly does Malice Divine bring to the table? Judging from “In Time” alone, the project brings a great cornucopia of gripping riffs, virtuosic soloing, constantly dynamic rhythms, harrowing vocals, and a talent for interweaving variant melodies that turn out to be memorable, as well as an ability to make such kaleidoscopic music both cohesive and catchy. The opening sequence of riffs begins to establish the pattern, shifting from sensations that are slow, dismal, and perilous to spidery and feverish, and then to cold and cruelly deranged. But that’s just the start of this dark but exhilarating piece.” – No Clean Singing

“My time with Malice Divine has shown me that Ric Galvez is a talented vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter, and fans of blackened and/or melodic death metal are highly encouraged to check it out. Malice Divine has planted their flag squarely on my radar, and I’m excited to see what Galvez comes up with on the next go-around.” – Angry Metal Guy

“Black Metal, Thrash Metal, Death Metal thrown into an insane blender of savage brutality\m/ \m/” – Heavy New York

“his self-titled debut is a very guitar-centric slab of Black/Death that sounds like a mixture of Dissection’s melodic sensibility with Skeletonwitch’s relentless energy. The playing is as sharp and precise as you’d expect it to be, and some of the leads are really superior…” – The Metal Crypt

The band adds about the track:

“From Beyond talks about the event of encountering a being naturally bound from outer space, while we first explore those endless confines after discovering space travel. A monstrosity unbound by our human conceptions of organic possibilities. The vocals range has it all in this one. from gutturals to high pitches, following grandiose agencements on guitars and epic melodic riffing providing a satisfying experience for the ears. All culminating in an epic solo for icing on the cake. It’s a song we had fun creating and enjoy it more and more each time we play it.”

Over the years, they have experimented with their sound and are now steady and impressive. A live show involves energy, full-on impact with the crowd, funny moments, and overall a tight performance, that is true to the recordings.

Proving that work ethic and perseverance can truly refine a band’s sound to what they had always been striving for, this new release will be a fresh start for great things to come and is only the beginning of a flourishing career.

About:
Established in 2009, Quebec, Canada-based death metal act, Upon Your Grave, is finally back swinging.

In 2019, at the dawn of the band’s 10th anniversary, Sim Diamond, Alex Bussieres and Jordan Jolicoeur grasped the opportunity given by the lockdown to start writing and rehearsing for a new album. This is their first effort since the Eponym debut album back in 2013. During their time away from Upon Your Grave, each member stayed active by releasing albums with other projects like Vibrant Heels and Universal Minds. Lead guitarist Sim Diamond also got to be part of Sam Dunn’s Shredders of Metal season 1 and made it all the way to the finals in Toronto. Now adding two new members to the mix, Sebastien Gagné on drums and Yan Pelletier on bass, two good friends from the local band Scars Of Disgrace, the band had found their perfect lineup to go forward.

With the help of a successful GoFundMe campaign, the band was able to go record a new EP with Chris Donaldson of Cryptopsy in March of 2022. this collaboration was the perfect fit that would elevate their performances to a more genuine and aggressive sound. Incorporating crushing vocals blended with catchy melodies, bad-ass guitar riffs and memorable solos that remind us of bands such as Daath, Lamb of God, Sylosis and even All Shall Perish.

Gold & Decay proves that work ethic and perseverance can truly refine a band’s sound to what they had always been striving for. This new release will be a fresh start for great things to come and is only the beginning of a flourishing career.

“Kicking off with a forty-second acoustic intro – ‘Revived’ then immediately goes into ‘From Beyond’ which is a chugging banger of a tune with some serious guitar work and loads of double kick drum action. ‘Pandora’ is more aggressive with a riff Slayer would kill for and watch how it slows to a heavy grind halfway through before things get serious again on ‘Supremacy’ which is rapid and vicious with a superb solo from Sim Diamond, reminding of Rob Dukes era Exodus. ‘Transcend’ is not hippy, trippy as the title would suggest instead it’s all-out brutality with a sing-a-long chorus! Only four tracks, five if you count the intro, they don’t hang about, but they contain some excellent tunes. If this is the direction Upon Your Grave is going then they will be at the top very soon. Let’s have some more soon!” – My Global Mind

“If you like your Death Metal to come in many different flavours, then you should really like this EP, from Quebec City’s Upon Your Grave. The band made a wise choice in getting Cryptopsy guitarist, Chris Donaldson to mix and mastered this release as it’s the showcase for their new sound… and far from just testing the waters with this EP, they’ve just set the bar for everything they do going forward. If you want straight down the middle Death Metal, a slightly brutal edge or the more melodic side of the genre, Upon Your Grave pack it all in, in just under 19 minutes.” – Smorg Mag

“Upon Your Grave is still going strong, and their rage remains alive. Gold & Decay allows musicians to return to the forefront of the scene by affirming their aggressive roots.” – Actain Infernalis

“Finishing the tsunami “Transcend” is an absolute tour de force of modern Groove laden Death Metal with chunky riffs, blast beats and a sublime extended solo from Diamond that is worth the admission fee alone. There are no two ways about it, Upon Your Grave need to get back on the road and then back in the studio with Donaldson at the helm because like a Vampire suffers from a bloodlust, we need to hear more from them… [8/10]” – Metal Noise

“UPON YOUR GRAVE has a lot of energy to extinguish throughout their debut, it consists of great ideas and musical diversities. The band’s passion for traditional Melodic Death Metal is noticed and felt, yet their combination of Rock and progression really benefited their efforts even more. This one is highly recommended, get ready to bang your heard.” – Metal Temple

“You can imagine lead axeman, Sim Diamond, stood side-on with bow-legged enthusiasm, holding his guitar in the air as he scrapes the opening notes to ‘From Beyond’. This song demands a video of the band thrashing at their instruments in an autumnal Canadian woodland wearing fingerless gloves. The main rhythm drips with a ghoulish sense of suspense, and the solo will remind you of ‘Painkiller’ by Judas Priest. Imagine a groove metal band covering Morbid Angel with the guttural vocals of Jungle Rot. Indeed, the Wisconsin quartet are the obvious comparison to the new version of Upon Your Grave. They shower you with an abundance of syncopated palm-mutes and tremolo tags to keep you guessing. How often do you wonder if modern Carcass are a death metal version of Kreator? The same observation rears its head here. Sebastien Gagné’s drums enhance the mix with an extra layer of steel.” – Scream Blast Repeat

“To Which I Bore Witness” is the second release from Canada’s post-metal duo They Grieve via Silent Pendulum Records. Taking the form of an introspective journey, it is meant to be depressing. The listener will be confronted with sad, loud music that’s not meant to cross into anger. The band wants people to sit with the album’s sadness and find comfort or kinship within. Each element of the release from the music, to the artwork, to the liner notes, is very intentional and suggested to be enjoyed as a whole. The band explains further:

“This album, both lyrically and musically, tries to capture the uncomfortable juxtaposition between weakness and weight. We are constantly trying to express the ways in which the ugliness and decay we see in the world sets itself down and plants its roots inside of us—how the weight of the world transforms into our own weakness once it has done so. We try to capture this feeling of juxtaposition and tension within the music itself by oscillating between ambient, textural drones and heavy, doom-laden riffs.”

They Grieve hopes that their music fills a niche not quite like other post-metal acts who are currently active. They feel that they offer a nuanced blend of doom(ish) metal and post-metal ambiance without diving into the more typical harsh noise territory. The production value of “To Which I Bore Witness” is a clear step up for them. Compared to the self-recorded debut EP, “I Made My Sacrifice Accordingly”, this new offering does a much better job of capturing the atmosphere and energy of their live performances.

A cold embrace of post-metal colliding with ambient drone, “To Which I Bore Witness” is recommended for fans of The Body, Cult of Luna, and Bell Witch. The album was produced by Topon Das (F*ck The Facts) at Apartment 2 Studio along with mastering done by Dave Williams at Eight Floors Above and additional tracks recorded by Alex Jakimczuk at Uppercut Studios. Album artwork was done by Pascale Arpin.

It can now be pre-ordered with a release date of February 24, 2023, via Silent Pendulum Records.

About: They Grieve is a two-piece doom, drone, and post-metal band based in Ottawa, Canada. Drawing influence from both minimalist ambient music and down-tempo metal, they blend warm synthesizers, electronics, and lofty guitar drones into mournful hymns and monolithic dirges with urgency, tension, and weight.

Members Gary Thibert and Deniz Güvenç formed They Grieve in 2015 with the intent to experiment with new forms and processes for songwriting, collaboration, and improvisation. Their first EP, I Made My Sacrifice Accordingly, was self-recorded and self-released in late 2016. In 2018, it was re-released with an added bonus track and accompanying music video through Transcending Records.

They Grieve are set to release their first full-length album entitled To Which I Bore Witness. Recorded at Apartment 2 with Topon Das of Fuck the Facts, this album presents a marked change in the band’s sound. Moving away from the harsh-noise influence on their first album, To Which I Bore Witness unveils a much more refined approach to texture and atmosphere while simultaneously shifting to a slower, heavier pace.

Employing a nuanced sense of harmony, the result is an emotional, dynamic, and doom-laden take on post-metal.

This past summer, Toronto’s My Hollow hit the road for the Great North Resurgence Tour with London, ON’s Tortured Saint. The tour included a performance at the Loud As Hell Festival in Drumheller, AB along with multiple shows across Ontario and Western Canada.

Today, the band is unveiling their new music video chronicling their journey across the country for the first time ever. The track used for the video is “The Iron Harvest” off My Hollow‘s latest EP offering “Fighting The Monsters”.

The band adds:

“The music video for The Iron Harvest is a documentation of The Great North Resurgence Tour, in which we travelled across Canada to play our slot at Loud As Hell X, an annual festival showcasing many of western Canada’s premier underground and signed acts. We hit the road with our good friends in Tortured Saint, who were also playing at the festival. The video contains performance and candid footage from our travels, which included van breakdowns, synchronized head-banging breakdowns and random encounters with some wonderful people along the way. This was our first real tour and was the furthest distance we have travelled to perform to date. This is a very special and humbling video for us, as we have been a band for so long now and this is a culmination of many years of hard work. A lot of behind-the-scenes footwork went into leading up to this moment and time, and serves as a tangible reminder of what can be accomplished with a good team and a positive attitude.”

My Hollow‘s latest EP “Fighting The Monsters” was released this past April. The EP features guest vocals from Bjorn ‘Speed’ Strid (Soilwork). The band supported its release with the very much loved puppet video “Vultures” and a cartoon for its title track. The new record boasts the heaviest music that they have written along with the addition of keyboards to add a new layer of epic melodies.

My Hollow started via the internet many years ago and has had some lineup changes since then. As they have matured, so has the music and they are excited to share their latest version of themselves with the world. The band expects newer fans, as well as established ones, will be able to find tangible qualities to enjoy about the new EP. The new tunes don’t stray too far from their back catalogue, but they do possess more of a mature approach to the songwriting. The addition of keyboardist Matt Williams has also added a new dimension to the My Hollow sound. The band is suitable for fans of modern metal, especially those with a penchant for Fit For An Autopsy, Gojira, and Lamb of God.

“Fighting The Monsters” was released on April 8th and available on all digital platforms including MyHollow.bandcamp.com

Vancouver’s HUNTING GIANTS’ New Video “Among Thieves” Is A Strong Message About Addiction’s Destructive Nature

New Album “Mythos” Out Now!

Canada’s Hunting Giants are sharing their next lyric video for the track “Among Thieves” off their latest album “Mythos” released this past September. The song hits close to home as their hometown of Vancouver, BC has been a focal point of the opioid crisis in their country.

The band goes into further detail about the track:

“As you listen to ‘Among Thieves’, the slow sensual riff of the verse comments on the seductive nature of destructive things which, we can use to temporarily ease our emotional or psychological pain. We move on to see how they slowly alter you into someone you weren’t before. Under the racing gallops of the percussion, we explore how violence can seem to be the most effective and immediate solution to solve disagreements and needs. The guitar, bass, and percussion all ring out as the progressive rock elements of the song are featured in a vocal chant expressing fear, pain, and hope. As the drums drop into halftime, we encounter a gritty taste of the life of those who live in addiction. A swell of guitar and stringed instruments signals the moment of self-realization and the protagonist has taken ownership of who they have become. We are greeted warmly by a swirling choir of vocals, guitar, and strings, which are broken by the toll of bells as our hero embraces his faults and opens his heart to the world. ‘Among Thieves’ is the epic on our album, ‘Mythos’.”

Watch and listen to “Among Thieves” at https://youtu.be/QVU2UEzNmfI

“Mythos” is the crowning achievement of Hunting Giants‘ many years of musical work, writing, and recording while gigging and enduring quarantine as a band during the Covid pandemic. The members of Hunting Giants all came from, and are inspired by, progressive rock and metal bands where songs would often pass the ten-minute mark. However, they desired to keep their own music concise and to the point, intentionally lacking much of the excess material that so often padded run-times of songs in the progressive rock-metal genre. Simple and clean lines are given priority over complicated abstractions that only challenge the player in an athletic way, provided that it serves the music.

Hunting Giants is confident that new listeners, as well as those familiar with them through their previous release “Skyward Eyes”, will find an accomplished intensity and listenability in “Mythos”, which represents their musical growth and evolution. Each of the thirteen songs was specially picked for the album to contribute to the overarching story in a theatrical and energetic manner. With riffs that will inspire and lyrics that will mystify.

“This album is musically very diverse as it ranges from intense white-knuckled metal tracks, down to gentle instrumental tracks peppered with melodic piano and haunting cello, all the way to epic ballads tastefully complimented by choirs, strings, and bells. Mythos lyrically explores archetypes, both heroic and villainous, that affect the world around us, as well as the inevitable fates which arise when these values are heinously held and expressed.” adds the band.

Hunting Giants is recommended for those who enjoy a 90s vibe and progressive elements, especially fans of Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Tool, and Audioslave.

About:
Hunting Giants is a four-piece heavy rock band from Vancouver, BC, Canada.

This unique group of musicians offers a spectacular visuals-driven live performance that exceeds both the precise ferocity of their recordings and the highest expectations of an energized audience looking for something recognizably different. Their music is both refreshing and familiar, serving well as the musical backdrop for one’s ongoing discovery of meaning in life and self.

Hunting Giants was started in 2017 with Bradley Trivett assembling the first musical themes and combining the percussive expertise of Daniel Beavington with the explosive rhythmic prowess of Corey J. Wharton into the foundation of a team set to discover and dominate the most enormous sounds and daunting massive ideas they could find. Led by the visionary passion and styling of frontman Stephen Atkey, Hunting Giants is poised to deliver an incredible auditory and visual experience.

“A glorious adventure is about to begin, starting right here today! Heavy metallers Hunting Giants are debuting their brand new music video for “Rituals,” the first single from their upcoming album Mythos. The song indicates the zeal and the ambition that the band is bringing towards this new record, due for release on September 30th. The “Rituals” video matches the flat-out intensity of the song, one that discusses necromancy and the harshness of hatred and shame.” – V13

“It’s not often that a band is described as ‘a blend of modern hard rock, progressive rock/metal and grunge influences,’ but that is indeed a fitting description of Vancouver’s Hunting Giants” – Bravewords

“Let me say this first, HUNTING GIANTS from Vancouver are REALLY freaking good. These guys are relatively new but they are tighter and more accomplished man many veteran bands.” – Rock You Show

“This is an album (Mythos) that you’ll want to wander through thanks to their technical proficiency and the production value.” – Metal Roos

“a solid listen, and a fairly unique combination of a few different styles. It’s mostly heavy enough for Metal fans, and mostly melodic enough for fans like myself who appreciate a good hook.” – Metal Temple

High Fells Offer Release Through Angry Riffs and Blackened Howls In “Catharsis”

Texas’ High Fells goes against the grain in regards to live blackened metal performance, they are longtime listeners of all different walks of music, and together they are proudly releasing their debut album “Catharsis” with they claim to be a journey between pure agony and anger, with a dash of hopelessness. It’s an emotional journey with sick riffs in which the lyrical content and the overall feeling of this album hit on a ton of mental and emotional wellness topics and the lack thereof. The band continues to explain:

“We are incredibly excited to debut our album “Catharsis” – the first of many to come. We’re excited to share it for many reasons, but primarily because it’s been such fun to write and perform, experimenting with styles and genres we’ve never fully committed to in other bands. The journey you’ll be taking over the course of 40 minutes will be a thought-provoking, visceral experience that will shed some light on mental illness and depressive episodes, something still a stigma in our current society.”

High Fells hopes that listeners can find something to relate to, something that will inspire them or helps convey emotions into words. They aim to shroud their lyrics with punishing riffs and blast beats that will ideally charm the listener.

Initially, High Fells set out to be a melodic black metal band, but as time has passed on and as they have played with more bands they love, the direction steered back towards death metal with that blackened flavor. Across the nine tracks, they bring ass-beating riffs with high-quality recordings.

Melodic, depressing, and angry, “Catharsis” is recommended for fans of Hath, Decapitated, and Sorrow Plagues.

About:

Birthed during a particularly cold winter, High Fells grew to something more than a jam session over the first year of our COVID nightmare. The uncertainty and tumultuous nature of these times allowed fears and pains to fester. Expressing and letting go of our greatest sufferings through music is all we seek – a catharsis in audible form.

Having shared the stage with multiple international acts, High Fells goes against the grain in regards to live blackened metal performance – whether it be colorful guitars or an emphasis on having FUN, expect to have a good time among the shrieks, riffs, and blast beats.

– 30 –

“There’s warmth and beauty to be found beyond the expected genre conventions if you know where to look.” – Eric Grubbs, CentralTrack magazine

“The song… “Where They Call My Name” proves that High Fells are worth taking very seriously indeed (even if the band clearly don’t take themselves too seriously)… The passion that floods through the searing screams and ravaging roars adds to the song’s wrenching severity.” – NOCLEANSINGING

“I have seen their name pop up a lot recently due to them being on a good number of local shows as well as being opening acts for national tours. These dudes play some killer blackened death that got the crowd into right from the first note… “Even for a newer band, these guys were tight and on point.” – VOX AND HOPS

Israel’s Twisted Mind Presents A Fiery New Brand of Happy Metal With New EP “From Slave To Prophet”

L- R – Lahav Zitiyat – Guitar, Oud, David Darash – Drums, Yanir Chmiel – Lead Vocals, Or Levy – Bass, Dan Saliman – Guitar, Bouzuki

Twisted Mind is an eclectic metal band influenced by a kaleidoscope of musicians that have inspired guitarist Dan Saliman, an Israeli musician of Yemenite and Moroccan-based heritage who grew up in a home where oriental music was frequently played. He formed the band in 2017 and in December, will have their debut album “From Slave To Prophet” ready to delight open-minded listeners around the world. The first single “Walked Through Hell”, captures the true essence of the band who shot the video in one night. They share their thoughts on the record and how they came up with the concept name:

“This EP is all about our timeline from where we started back then at the beginning of the pandemic and through the war of getting rock and roll less stigmatic. We strive to be the ones who will break the glass ceiling of musical genres. We didn’t come from great money and wealth. We are warriors, fighting hard and aiming to become something bigger, something which will bring a “word”. And while we are on our way, we try to inspire people to fight for their beliefs, unite for a cause, open their minds to other points of view and create amazing things together which will maybe make the world a better place.”

Every member of Twisted Mind is a great believer in the power of music and its ability to bring different worlds and traditions together. They hope and aspire that the new mix of cultures and sounds in their music will break the invisible wall and crush the stigmas between the genres and their rigid rules. Overall, “From Slave To Prophet” is something, fresh, and different.

This modern Israeli and self-dubbed ‘Happy Metal’ band is recommended for anyone looking for something intriguing, and also for fans of Metallica, Muse, and Dhafer Youssef. The official video for “Walked Through Hell” is out now and the EP comes out on December 9, 2022.

About: The AOR rock/metal group Twisted Mind was founded in 2017 by Dan Saliman, an Israeli musician of a Yemenite & Moroccan-based heritage. Dan grew up in a home where oriental music was a Major part of his musical background

After a long process of creating a musical concept, Dan was joined by the other members, achieving this final line-up. The four joining members helped mold the sound, bringing their own styles, influences, and cultural heritage to Twisted Mind, thus creating a powerful combination of music that fuses the power and aggression of heavy metal, throughout the liberating energy of modern rock & roll.

And all this while using ethnical Middle Eastern music – emerging from their homeland and from the band members’ heritage and their own family ‘DNA’.Starting in San’aa –Yemen, through Istanbul – Turkey, passing through the deserts of Libya and traveling the long roads to a garage in Los Angeles.
