Darkness and despair await within the forthcoming album “To Which I Bore Witness” from Canada’s They Grieve. Each part of this release is very intentional and well thought out, from the music to the artwork, to the liner notes, and is intended to be listened to as a whole. The band has just released the title track as a single and offers it to post-metal fans to sit with, to be surrounded by the album’s sadness, and find comfort and kinship within. They share the details about the track.

“Although this is the title track of our new album, it was one of the last songs we wrote. We had spent well over two years writing and re-writing nearly every other song on the album. At that point, we felt like we really started understanding what makes us sound like ‘us’, so this song came together seamlessly. Lyrically, we have always written one single piece to be split up and used for the entire album. “To Which I Bore Witness” is no different. The lyrics come directly from conversations we have as friends—more than a band, They Grieve is a space where we both can be vulnerable and open with each other about our experiences of grief, loss, and weakness in ways we simply can’t with other people.”

Watch and listen to the video for “To Which I Bore Witness” via its premiere on NoCleanSinging HERE.

During the years that the duo of They Grieve spent writing this album, they had many conversations about succumbing to depression—about how the ugliness and trauma they see in the world sets itself to work inside of them as individuals, plants its roots, and decays from without to within. The band is Gary Thibert on guitars, bass, and vocals along with Deniz Güvenç on drums, synthesizers, piano, and vocals. They both contribute equally to the writing process to lean into their strengths. This record came together slowly, and through the process of writing and experimentation with the tone, harmony, and layers of effects, they narrowed their focus and found what really spoke to them.

Self-described as ‘post-metal meets ambient drone’, they are recommended for fans of Cult of Luna, Bell Witch, and Thou. The album was produced by Topon Das (F*ck The Facts) at Apartment 2 Studio along with mastering done by Dave Williams at Eight Floors Above and additional tracks recorded by Alex Jakimczuk at Uppercut Studios. The Album artwork was done by Pascale Arpin.

It can now be pre-ordered with a release date of February 24, 2023, via Silent Pendulum Records.

About: They Grieve is a two-piece doom, drone, and post-metal band based in Ottawa, Canada. Drawing influence from both minimalist ambient music and down-tempo metal, they blend warm synthesizers, electronics, and lofty guitar drones into mournful hymns and monolithic dirges with urgency, tension, and weight.

Members Gary Thibert and Deniz Güvenç formed They Grieve in 2015 with the intent to experiment with new forms and processes for songwriting, collaboration, and improvisation. Their first EP, I Made My Sacrifice Accordingly, was self-recorded and self-released in late 2016. In 2018, it was re-released with an added bonus track and accompanying music video through Transcending Records.

They Grieve are set to release their first full-length album entitled To Which I Bore Witness. Recorded at Apartment 2 with Topon Das of Fuck the Facts, this album presents a marked change in the band’s sound. Moving away from the harsh-noise influence on their first album, To Which I Bore Witness unveils a much more refined approach to texture and atmosphere while simultaneously shifting to a slower, heavier pace.

Employing a nuanced sense of harmony, the result is an emotional, dynamic, and doom-laden take on post-metal.

Canada’s IRON KINGDOM Shares Part 2 of Behind The Scenes Making of Video For New Album “The Blood of Creation”

Canada’s Iron Kingdom recently unleashed its fifth studio album “The Blood of Creation” this past November. Once again it was a DIY approach by the band, self-producing the record with vocalist/guitarist Chris Osterman doing the engineering with some help from the band and some friends (Dan Yakimow, Jeff Black) along with mixing by Andy Boldt and mastering done by Greg Reely.

Today, the band is giving their next glimpse into the making of the full-length with the second part of their behind-the-scenes making-of documentary.

“With the second part of our ‘Making Of’ documentary, we wanted to delve deeper into ‘The Blood Of Creation’. The band explains the meaning and stories behind each track on the album, the gear we used as well as going through some stories from behind the scenes. The documentary shares some never before seen footage from the studio as well as some specially recorded interviews with each band member to share their experience of our latest album! We wanted to make the extra documentary video as a very special thank you to our die-hard fans. We can’t thank you all enough for all the support we’ve received over the past 11 years as an independent act and we truly hope you all enjoy watching! Thank you for believing in us and for listening to our art!” adds Chris Osterman.

The Making Of ‘The Blood Of Creation’ Pt. 2 can be viewed at https://youtu.be/i11YWsaIPtw

and Pt. 1 is available at https://youtu.be/TSrv44SXQ-A

Iron Kingdom‘s fifth full-length “The Blood Of Creation” contains eight impressive tracks running over three-quarters of an hour of classic heavy metal, windswept solos, memorable riffs, and piercing vocals conveying powerful stories. This new album saw a lot more musical content coming from lead guitarist Megan Merrick, and having Max Friesen on drums saw lots more ideas from yet another angle. Iron Kingdom continues to rework and evolve its sound and layers of professionalism can be heard throughout. This album is quite dark topically, the lyrics speak of war, fear, sacrifice, and pain, and the music although very classical and explorative also has some very evil moments throughout. The band, like so many others, was in a dark place due to the pandemic and the music reflects some of those emotions.

In the beginning, Iron Kingdom set out to create a sound paying homage to how things used to be in the 70s and 80s. They put on a big and energetic show, a show that brings you back to 1984, but in all the best ways. They are recommended for fans of Helloween, Judas Priest, and Queensrÿche.

“Loads of riffs and melodies some excellent lead breaks and pounding rhythms. This is bonafide, foot on the monitor, fist pumping, horn throwing real metal. I have never heard Iron Kingdom before but on the strength of this I will be obtaining the back catalogue very soon.” – My Global Mind (The Blood of Creation)

“With The Blood Of Creation, Iron Kingdom have forged a masterpiece that brings tears of joy to the eyes of every traditional metalhead. There is only high-quality material and everyone is encouraged to include this album in their choice of this year’s Top10. ” – Soundmagnet

“Iron Kingdom brings another solid heavy metal album with the fifth album ‘The Blood of Creation’. Slightly progressive, but especially heavy… Give the band a listen, you will be surprised!” – Metal Experience

“This is a solid album of heavy metal delivered in the style that is true to the cause and therefore, what the listener gets here with ‘The Blood of Creation’, is an album which mounts its steeds and charges forward in a cavalry strike as galloping riffage and rhythms never give the listener the chance to let up with tracks such as ‘Queen of the Crystal Throne’, ‘In the Grip of Nightmares’ and ‘Witching Hour’ having some very impressive twin guitar lines. This would impress any fan of Iron Maiden, Riot V and Iced Earth, but also sticks within the remit of trad metal with bands such as Katana, Skelator and Toledo Steel.” – Metal Digest

“Anyone who likes beautiful and playful melodies, extensive guitar solos, detailed arrangements and double lead guitars will be well served with “The Blood Of Creation”.” – PowerMetal.de

“Iron Kingdom created an iron-bound, battle-hardened piece of traditional Heavy Metal that truly made me want to turn the clock back to those long-gone days of glory. Times when metal was just that, the pure joy of a style that was still new, exciting, and powerful. Or to let the band speak in their own words, they “…decided to play metal the way it used to be played in the 70s and 80s.” Well, mission fucking accomplished. Well done, guys.” – Rock Music Raider

Rockshots Records – Australia’s NOTHING SACRED’s “Leviathan” Marks Their Monster Return With New EP Out Feb 2023

New Music Video ‘Leviathan’

Australia’s NOTHING SACRED marked their return in 2021 with the release of their first album in 30 years entitled “No Gods” and now a year and a half later they are ready to continue that groundbreaking resurrection with the next record “Leviathan” due out February 3, 2023, via Rockshots Records.

Fans of the band will notice on this new EP that there has been a lineup change that now sees the return of Chris Stark taking the reins as lead vocalist, replacing James Davies. Stark had previously sung with the band for a number of years and has now returned in time to lay down the vocal tracks for their next monster.

“Chris has an amazing voice and definitely suits what we are doing today. We’d like to think that we are still growing as a band and the music we write is forever changing.” says drummer Sham.

The EP “Leviathan” is a mix of new and older tracks that builds on what the band did with “No Gods”. It has plenty of riffs, killer solos, and big melodies from vocalist Chris Stark. The EP also includes the song “Sudden Death”, a thrashy unreleased track that was a mainstay during the band’s live gigs in the mid-’80s plus re-recordings of a few tracks from the band’s first album “Let Us Prey” and two new songs. All the new songs were written in group sessions with everyone jamming, throwing around riffs and arrangements into the mix. Overall, the EP is a blend of old and new, and something they could get done without a follow-up taking too long.

“The 2021 album “No Gods” was well received so we were keen to get back into the studio and follow up as quickly as possible. It was really a great experience and different from the way “No Gods” was done – that involved a fair amount of ‘online’ sharing. Getting together in the same room and just playing to see what came out was refreshing after the Covid isolation years! We think it takes things a step forward – Sacred fans will find plenty to enjoy.” adds bassist Karl Lean.

The two new tracks “Leviathan” and “Drone” written for the EP are lyrically connected to the Ukrainian war. Drummer Sham explains further:

“It’s heartbreaking that people like Putin still twist countries into wars over land. We wanted to show support for the Ukrainian people, and also for the average Russian citizen too. No sane person really wants war and the lyrics try to reflect the madness and cruelty that underlies what’s happening now and we play a bit on the term Leviathan state. The Leviathan is described as an artificial person whose body is made up of all the bodies of its citizens. These people become literal members of the Leviathan’s body. The head of the Leviathan is the sovereign”. This is by no means an attack on the citizens of Russia. It’s just a real shame that all this has happened, and we feel for all the good people on both sides.”

The EP’s title track and lead single can be heard via its music video directed and edited by Nothing Sacred drummer Sham. Additional drone footage by Julien Piazzon.

About: Conceived in Melbourne in 1983, Nothing Sacred went on hiatus for two decades. During the 80s, the heavy metal band unleashed their EP “Deathwish”, which catapulted them as one of the most sought-after pit makers with the record’s title track becoming a classic within the Australian metal scene. Three years later in 1988, Nothing Sacred unleashed the full-length entitled “Let Us Prey” on Cleopatra Records. Unfortunately a year after that LP’s release, the band disbanded in 1989. Lead guitarist Mark Woolley, bassist Karl Lean, and drummer Sham went on to contribute to Hobbs’ Angel of Death‘s early work in the late 1980s. Woolley also appeared on Hobbs’ first self-titled album in 1988. Vocalist Mick Burnham later joined the short-lived Melbourne band Seizure in 1993.

Although their tenure was short-lived, Nothing Sacred still remains an underground metal phenomenon in Australia. Songs from the Deathwish EP still get airplay on several Australian metal radio programs.

In 2012, Nothing Sacred performed a series of 30th anniversary shows with Ross Percy (Ion Drive, Little House Godz) joining George Larin on guitar that included a support slot for the ex-Iron Maiden vocalist’s Paul Di’AnnoP/Blaze Bayley Australian tour. Despite the success, the band agreed not to continue and returned to retirement.

In 2015, the band decided to re-activate with a lineup of Sham, Karl Lean, George Larin, Ross Percy, and new vocalist Chris Stark. A slot on Melbourne’s Brewtality Metal Festival received positive reviews before the band embarked on a short tour of Japan (That footage was released in 2021 as a part of a 3 disc boxset), which inspired them to continue and lead the band to headline day one of the Steel Assassins Festival in Sydney.

Line-up changes again slowed the band, James Davies was recruited for vocals along with Stu Bedford on guitar. From there, the band spent most of 2019 and 2020 writing and recording, what was their first full-length in over 30 years. Entitled “No Gods”, the record witnessed Nothing Sacred‘s resurrection to the metal world. The album peaked on the Australian iTunes metal charts in October 2021 at #4 along with metal media outlets giving multiple praising reviews.

Now ready to follow up “No Gods”, Nothing Sacred has gone through another lineup change swapping singer James Davies out with the return of Chris Stark. Chris had sung with the band previously for a number of years and has now returned in time to lay the vocal tracks down on their next release “Leviathan” set for release in February 2023 via Rockshots Records.

Montreal, QC – December 7, 2022

Enter The Battlefield w/ TYRANTS OF CHAOS WWII Inspired Video “The Black Gap”

New Album “Relentless Thirst for Power” Out Now!

Tyrants of Chaos are unveiling their latest music video “The Black Gap” off their third album “Relentless Thirst for Power” released this past August.

A war history buff, vocalist Phil Sirias penned the lyrics for the track along with many others on their latest record. “The Black Gap” depicts a time in World War II history where German U-Boats were sinking large numbers of ships in the unprotected area of the North Atlantic called “The Black Gap”.

“It’s another heavy hitting mosh worthy banger with a darker, sludgier tone that fans can really get in to. The lyrics were actually written over 10 years ago and the overall song covers topics such as corruption, greed, ignorance, and turning a blind eye,” adds Sirias.

The music video for “The Black Gap” can be viewed via its premiere on Sonic Perspectives HERE.

Hailing from Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, Tyrants of Chaos is a balls-out metal assault that is true to the classic styles of the big 4 who started it all. Their new album “Relentless Thirst for Power” follows their debut “The Calm Before The Storm” (2016) and sophomore record “Into Oblivion” (2019).

This third full-length offering “Relentless Thirst For Power” is pure heavy metal from beginning to end with no filler. The album’s main lyricist and vocalist Phil Sirias is a war history nerd. Many of the band’s songs in their catalogue depict battles and times of war in world history. For this new record, Phil wrote about historical events along with touching on darker themes such as death and mental trauma. From the opening track “T.O.C.”, a straightforward, neck-wrecking heavy metal to “Indoctri-Nation”, which focuses on mental health issues to the “No Lives Matter” ballad that forces one to confront their mortality; and the shout-out track to all the NASCAR and racing fans out there “Lucky Dog” that is reminiscent of the 80s heavy metal.

“Relentless Thirst for Power” was produced by guitarist Arik Wagner, mixed and mastered by Johnny Gasparic at MCC Recording Studio Calgary and the album artwork was done by Pierre-Alain D. at 3mmi Design.

Tyrants of Chaos was formed in Lethbridge, AB in 2013 for the love and passion of music by guitarist Curtiss Vaselenak and to fill a gap in the local scene, the band originally started as a fun hard rock and metal cover band. After some shuffling, he is now joined by guitarist Arik Wagner, bassist Sean Simpson, drummer Ryan Dyck, and vocalist Phil Sirias who complete the current lineup. With many years of experience between them, they bring professionalism and solid musicianship to both the stage and the studio.

Heavy and loud, Tyrants Of Chaos delivers a solid pummeling of pure heavy metal. No gimmicks, no gags, just passion, and honesty. They are suitable for fans of Megadeth, Judas Priest, and Iron Maiden.

The album “Relentless Thirst For Power” was released on August 19, 2022.

“they release a sound that could rattle the very bowels of hell. Which is a pretty good noise to make!… If traditional, thrash-tinged heavy metal is your thing, you should probably get to know Tyrants of Chaos pretty soon! ” – Sentinel Daily

“a thunderous ten-song onslaught featuring the classic sound of traditional heavy metal.” – Metal Roos

“it’s full of chugging traditional metal… if bands like Striker, White Wizzard, Night Demon, Midnight Priest, etc. are in your playlist, you might find something like from Tyrants of Chaos.” – The Metal Crypt

“The band showing diversity from the off – ‘Skull Crusher’ picking up pace to become the fastest song heard so far. And the most melodious too! And with the famous ‘Maiden-esque gallop, ‘Skull Crusher’ plants feet firmly on the monitor. Old school traditional heavy metal at its best.” – Metal Gods TV

“I hereby recommend the third, current long-distance album “Relentless Thirst For Power” by the band from Alberta to every traditional headbanger with a clear conscience.” – Obliveon

“Tyrants of Chaos live up to their moniker, making Relentless Thirst for Power a record that most heavy and old school North American power followers could easily get into.” – Dead Rhetoric

“When it comes to piercing leather lungs, high note ascension, and fierce main melodies, Tyrants of Chaos have the ideal frontman in Phil Sirias – his conviction and delivery during “Slay the Hostages” rivalling the Halford/Dickinson 80’s heydays, yet also showcasing a smoother register in the low range verses of a semi-marching, doom-oriented “No Lives Matter”.” – Dead Rhetoric

L.A. Project (ft. guests from Annihilator, Exxocet) Announce Uplifting And Melodic New Metal Single “Carry On”

Top Left – Lukky Sparxx, Top Right Rich Gray, Bottom Left – Fábio Alessandrini, Bottom Right – Luis Amaro

L.A. Project is an international melodic metal/rock effort that was started by Luis Amaro during the pandemic. In order to bring his ideas to life, he recruited drummer Fábio Alessandrini (Annihilator, Bonfire), bassist Rich Gray (Annihilator, Aeon Zen), and vocalist Lukky Sparxx (Exxocet). In April, Amaro released L.A. Project‘s debut EP “5 Dimensions” and is now following it up with a fresh new single “Carry On”. When asked about the track and the listening experience they are trying to deliver, Amaro responds:

“We think fans will approach it with a lot of curiosity about the new band and sound. Because the first was a little bit of experimentation in different moods. And now we try to have a solid and consistent style of music. All the songs have shredding guitar and are very well played. There is some technical stuff but at the same time it’s very easygoing.”

“Carry On” is about the choices that sometimes you need to make and finding much-needed inspiration in your life. The lyrics are easy to identify with and are relevant to many situations in life whereas the music comes across with plenty of melody and enough of an edge to appease a variety of metal audiences.

The single was produced and mastered by Ricardo Fernandes who did mixing along with Rich Gray. The album artwork was done by Nicolas Oliveros. The melodic riffs in “Carry On” have plenty of attitudes, the vocals demand attention and the listener will be engaged throughout the four and half minute run time. It is recommended for fans of Dokken, Mr.Big, and Steelheart.

What the press is saying:
“Western Canada’s loudest heavy metal festival brings fans to town more known for dinos than drum solos.” – CBC Calgary

“Loud as Hell – one of Canada’s top underground metal festivals – was a metal family reunion. If you walked around the grounds, where tents covered the landscape like flowers, you would experience concert goers laughing, hugging and just enjoying the moment. The music played non-stop and the people were some of the best you’ll meet. What else do you need? If you’re a metalhead fan, mark it down for next year because this is a concert you don’t want to miss.” – Blackfalds Life

“Headbanger alert: Loud As Hell festival to ramp up the volume” – Calgary Herald

“Nevermind the bug spray and sun tan lotion, as August approaches Drumheller residents should stock up on earplugs.” – Calgary Herald

“Loud As Hell returns to the southern Alberta city for its seventh year and as its name implies, will rock the city to its core.” – Calgary Herald

“Loud as Hell has celebrated eight years in the Badlands to date, with acts from all over the world-shattering the peace and quiet of the hills in a camping and music extravaganza.” – Hanna Herald

“Drumheller with its dinosaur bones is the site of the annual Loud as Hell heavy metal festival Friday through Sunday. Dozens of the heaviest bands known to Man will be taking the stage, many of them Canadian” – Gig City

0 Canada’s Alienatör Embrace Personal Struggles With Music Video For “Regrets”

Canada’s Alienatör Embrace Personal Struggles With Music Video For “Regrets”

New Album “Regrets” Out Now!

(L to R) Sean Skillen – Bass/Back-up Vocals, Brad King – Guitar/Vocals, Simon Paquette – Drums

Hailing from Canada, Alienatör is a sludge metal band that confronts tough issues with razor-sharp riffs and memorable hooks. They released their debut album “Pariahs’ in 2019, and have just recently followed it up this year with “Regrets”,which is darker, more focused, and more intense. Through the album, they look at political events, personal relationships and set heavy themes to heavy music. The title track sees the band at its most vulnerable, it’s a cathartic song about the passage of time and missed opportunities. Vocalist/guitarist Brad King lays out some of his motivations behind the single:

“One of the more heartfelt and emotional songs I’ve written, dealing with personal regrets and struggles and the passage of time. I like the energy and looser feel of it, musically. Sean’s really standing on his head with some of the bass fills on this one but it’s all tasteful and fits perfectly, elevating the whole song. Simon also fills empty spaces in interesting ways on the drums here.”

The music video for “Regrets” can be seen and heard via its premiere on NoCleanSinging HERE.

“Regrets” is a grim postcard from the depths of the human psyche. Alienatör’s darkest release yet, it is a reaction to years of deep political turmoil, the erosion of truth, as well as personal politics of grief, loss, and struggle. It’s an album that touches on personal and social themes. Flourishes of melody drenched in a caustic sludge, painted in shades of black.

The previous album was written as a two-piece, but since then, bassist Sean Skillen has taken more of a creative role in the process and drummer Simon Paquette was recruited for drums. The band still has some blistering fast punk-influenced tunes but they’re branching out and showing their songwriting depth on this latest recording.

Abrasion, aggression and heartfelt emotion meet driving rhythm and solid riffs throughout the album, which is recommended for fans of Botch, Jesus Lizard and Unsane.

“Regrets” was released on November 25th, 2022 and available on Spotify, Alienator.bandcamp.com (CD)

About: Hailing from Thunder Bay, ON, Canada, Alienatör is a sludge metal band that combines punk, hardcore, and noise rock elements into a stripped-down package, full of razor-sharp riffs and memorable hooks.

Their debut album, “Pariahs,” released in 2109 moves from fast and aggressive to slow and swampy with touches of experimental weirdness. Many of the lyrics are about how we numb ourselves to the pain and disappointment of everyday life.

Fast forward to 2022, and the band is ready to unleash their follow-up, entitled “Regrets,” which introduces new drummer Simon Paquette to the fold. The album is bleak and abrasive, with moments of calm, melody, and beauty to juxtapose against the ugliness. Raw, uncompromising, and dark, it is emotionally heavy music that reflects a chaotic time in history.

“Noisy post-hardcore sludge, full of energy and rage… a genuine ass-kicker of a record.” – Decibel

“Aggression is the name of the game in the latest offering from Thunder Bay, Ontario crew ALIENATÖR. Brad King (guitar, vox), Sean Skillen (bass, vox), and Simon Paquette (drums) pack a big wallop for a band of three. Their sound is a hash of sludge, hardcore, noise, and crust, with a message that’s urgent and dire… Regrets plays out like a nervous breakdown, but a damned exhilarating one.” – Doomed and Stoned

“Dark, powerful and honest.” – Metal Noise.

“Music that will leave you feeling elated even if it’s covered in so much dirt and slime.” – GBHBL

“If you’re after something heavy and different, go for this because this is impressive.” – My Global Mind

0 Extreme Metal Music – One Man Black Metal TRYGLAV Unleashes “The Vengeance”; New Album “The Ritual” Out Feb 2023

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – December 2, 2022

Extreme Metal Music – One Man Black Metal TRYGLAV Unleashes “The Vengeance”

New Album “The Ritual” Out Feb 2023

Tryglav‘s second offering “The Ritual” will be coming this February 2023 to follow the 2019 debut “Night of Whispering Souls” to be released once again via Extreme Metal Music, a subsidiary of Rockshots Records.

Today, the Croatian one-man black metal band is unveiling the first single “The Vengeance” in preview of the full-length. It is the album’s closing track and was one of the last songs Tryglav composed for it.

Tryglav comments about the track:

“This is for now my favourite song on the album. It reminds me of my previous album’s title track ‘Night of Whispering Souls’, which I felt was the best song. It’s epic, it has nice melodies and a powerful chorus and it’s really fast. The ending riff is still one of my favourites and also the drum patterns are really cool. Imagine the ending battle in a colossal movie, this song and lyrics are exactly that.”

Listen to “The Vengeance” at the following links:

Digital https://bfan.link/the-vengeance
Visualizer: https://youtu.be/Y2DSO3fyTbk

Tryglav‘s sound is aggressive, melodic, modern, and emotionally epic black metal and fans of its predecessor will notice a maturity in sound and lyrics. The story behind “The Ritual” is set in the 17th century as Tryglav explains further:

“On a dark stormy night, a dying man sighed his last breath. Nothing his parents could do to save his life. A Plague Doctor was called. Four of them showed up, taking the dead body with them. The family knew that they would never see him again. What they didn’t know was that he would come back, in an unimaginable way..”

All the music on “The Ritual” were written by founder Boris Behara with vocals entrusted to vocalist Callum Wright along with mixing and mastering by producer Rocco Pezzin. The songs on the forthcoming album began their journey in 2018 as part of Behara’s love for black metal and horror imagery. After many re-compositions and re-arrangements along with interruptions from the world pandemic and his personal health with two open heart surgeries, “The Ritual” will now see the light in 2023.

“This album has seen so many difficulties, but finally, after three long years, it’s here! I hope fans will enjoy it just as much as I created it! If they liked my first album ‘Night of Whispering Souls’ they’ll definitely like this one too. The formula didn’t change too much. It’s a black metal album full of different influences. The melody is still the central part of it.”

Tryglav is recommended for fans of Dark Funeral, Dissection, and Uada.
