Hamilton’s THE CASTOR TROYS Debut New Single “ We Are One” Through PunkNews
New EP “Legends Never Die” Out Nov 9th

The Castor Troys, a hard rock band from Hamilton, Ontario are premiering their new single “We Are One” over at PunkNews.org. This is the first single from their EP “Legends Never Die” to be released later this year. “We Are One” is a catchy and fun sing-along with punk overtones in the riffs and a steady rockin’ beat.
The Castor Troys are very excited to release their new EP and this single is an excellent example of the politically charged raucous fun that the EP entails. As described by the band, “ We Are One” promises to be, “anthemic and fist pumping. This is a sing-along to end all sing-alongs. A rallying cry of unity in the face of adversity and opposition.”

Armstrong MetalFest Opens Band Submissions For 2019 Edition

Submissions for Armstrong Metal Festival are now open and all bands are welcome to submit themselves to play Western Canada’s longest running metal festival. For 10 years running, West Metal Entertainment and Armstrong Metalfest has not only fostered the talent of hundreds of local bands, but brought in well-known, international acts to the sleepy, little Canadian town of Armstrong, British Columbia. The 2019 edition of the festival will take place on July 12-13.
West Metal Entertainment promoter Jesse Valstar is getting ready for the biggest year yet commenting:
“I am very excited to announce that Armstrong Metalfest 2019 is full steam ahead! We are embarking into a new decade of metal so we figure we may as well kick off this one right! Our team is expanded, refined and better than ever,! We are looking forward to putting in the time to provide the best Armstrong Metalfest possible.”
This is guaranteed to be a monumental year for not only the festival, but for the underground Canadian metal community in general, so get creative and apply quickly! Submissions are now open until November 1, 2018; more information on how to submit available at the official website: https://armstrongmetalfest.ca/contact/band-submissions/
About Armstrong Metal Festival and West Metal Entertainment:
Each year up to 700 metalheads from Canada and USA descend into the picturesque Okanagan Valley and under the blistering sun they spend 3 days camping, taking in over 40 bands, participating in wrestling events and scavenger hunts and catching up with their metal family.
The festival has seen such renowned headliners as Katakysym, Cattle Decapitation, Archspire, and Beyond Creation as well as emerging artists from across North America. At the end of the revelry, the festival disappears without a trace, leaving the landscape as pristine as it has always been.
West Metal Entertainment is a non-profit society that not only puts on Armstrong Metal Festival every year in Armstrong, B.C. but gives bands opportunities to play different venues throughout the region including all ages shows, to encourage musical passion in kids as well as adults.

0 Metal Utopia – Ominous Eclipse – Sinister – “The music is technical, but not overbearing; it is fast but there are a lot of moments throughout the album where the music is allowed to breathe to convey more than just one feeling or mood. The music is infectious, catchy and would definitely sound amazing in a live setting. I think this change in sound really benefits the band. They are very cohesive and they can play a wide array of music. They wear their influences on their sleeves but never do they imitate.”

Mexico’s CIRROSIS have just released their lyric video for “A Better Place To Hate” featuring Kevin Talley (Dying Fetus, Suffocation, Chimaira). The single is off their new album “The Collector of Truths” due out December 1, 2018 via Concreto Records.
Watch it at the following link:
The video was done by Javier García de León at Elipsis Films and the music is a mix of death and thrash, suitable for fans of Fear Factory, Morbid Angel and Pestilence. The band has been lurking in the shadows and with Grammy nominated producer Francisco ‘Chucky’ Oroz playing guitar they are finally ready to return to the underground metal scene and prove they can still write fast and technical music.
Vocalist Sir Oz is excited to show fans what CIRROSIS has been working on and tells us what can be expected:
“I guess that fans will like to see a more versatile and technical Cirrosis. Organized brutality and non-pretentious songs. There are songs that seem an insane competition of virtuosity, we respect that, but we seek to offer a good song, heavy but structured songs. However, this does not mean that fans are not going to find technical aspects in our album; actually, they are going to find it a lot.”
“The Collector of Truths” will be the band’s second studio album, which comes 20 years after their debut “Reciclando Desesperación”, the Spanish language album released in 1999.
Even after 20 years, CIRROSIS is still in demand and they are looking forward to satisfying their long time fans and impressing new ones.

Track Listing:
1. Asfixia
2. Nowhere … But Here
3. Kill My Name
4. The Art of Breathing
5. Resistencia
6. A Better Place to Hate
7. The Daydreamer´s Nightmare
8. I’m The Universe

BIO:
CIRROSIS is a death metal band from Sonora, Mexico, formed in 1991 with the name Cirrosis by Francisco ‘Chucky’ Oroz and Sir Oz, being the only original members in the current lineup. Due to their technical capacity they incorporated early progressive elements and melodic solos, CIRRORIS quickly gained notoriety in the local and national scene. Their live performances were characterized by their intensity and fury, soon becoming a cult band. In 1996, Joseph Lev joined the band and they recorded their first demo “La Tierra de la Adicción”. In 1999, CIRRORIS entered the studio and recorded the album “Reciclando Desesperación”, with lyrics exclusively in Spanish.
In 2001, CIRROSIS decided to break up, so the members could continue with their personal and professional projects. In 2014, Concreto Records decided to reissue the album “Reciclando Desesperación” describing it as “the maladaptive sound that disturbed a style in Mexico that can give lessons to current and modern bands”.
20 years later, CIRROSIS is releasing their second studio album “The Collector of Truths” which will be released at the end of 2018 by Concreto Records.
