” Taken from their forthcoming album Beyond The Blue, Mr. Goshness have delivered a stone cold stunner with this new single. There are flashes of Rush and The Dear Hunter (my two favourite bands) in the song’s impeccable production, impressive percussion and riffs so slick and intricate they can turn on a sixpence. “

Focusing on a highly polished finished product, “Beyond The Blue” is complete with focused, memorable songs, pristine production and beautiful album artwork done by El Gato Gomez. Each one of the 12 songs on the album comes from the heart, either about love or the human condition.

Tucked away in Nanaimo, B.C., pop punk group Mr. Goshness filmed their song ‘Five Personalities’ at Tiger Music Mountain thanks to the help of videographers Josh McNair and Greg Weller. Captured in all its excitable glory, the 6:00 min video was filmed during the band’s 2014 CD release party for their latest release ‘A Guide To All Things Twisted’. As you watch the live video, you can see and hear vocalist Kaliandra delivering a performance alluding to Hayley Williams from Paramore in terms of vocal power and smooth transitions. The progression follows a non-traditional pop song and again features a Mr. Goshness favourite… Breakdowns!

Aidaen Carson had this to say about the live footage for ‘Five Personalities:

“Hey!  Feast your ears on our new video.  This song is one of my personal favorites from the album because of its energy level, complexity, progression, and style.  If you want to listen to a song that makes you think, check this track out… if you want to rock out, turn this track on… if you want a good mix of keyboards, tasty guitar riffs, or drum fiestas, then crank it to 11 and get ready for an adventure.  Thank you for listening!”

British Columbia’s indie music scene darlings Mr. Goshness are releasing a live video of their song ‘Resolutions’ recorded by Josh McNair and Greg Weller at Tiger Mountain Music. Filming took place the night of their cd release party and captured their pleasant on stage demeanor. Kaliandra gracefully breaks up the song to pick up the pace and lead viewers deeper into the music. ‘Resolutions’ is all about timing used in combination with every element of the band (Keyboard, guitar, and vocals) to showcase the complexity of the song.

“Our album release party was an incredible night that none of us will ever forget, playing ‘Resolutions’ was a special part of the night as that song starts off a lot more intimate than our other songs.  This song can be quite challenging to play live so there was a lot of rehearsal time spent getting the song just right.” – Mark Tardif

Pop-punk tinged group Mr. Goshness give perspective with this video track by track evaluation of ‘Jealous John.’ The group maintains their signature level of endearing quirkiness while giving insight into the highlights and nuances of this song. Out of all the places to glean inspiration ‘A Guide To All Things Twisted’ ranges from being compared to the dark imagery of Tim Burton to Disney’s Aladdin, which was the muse for ‘Jealous John.’ Kaliandra Capri (Vocals, Guitar), Mark Tardif (Vocals, Guitar), and Aidaen Carson (Keys) share their battle scars and joys from writing and performing this energetic tune complete with a breakdown or”mosh section” as Aiden called it.

“We are excited to release Jealous John as our next track by track video.  In each video so far, we have been sharing some neat info about each song as well as acting like children.  Jealous John is one of the most eclectic tracks on the album, as well as the most difficult to play on our instruments.  Find out more by watching the video!” comments Mark Tardif (Vocals, Guitar).

“Resolutions” is all over the place musically, but it somehow comes together to form peaceful chaos.” – Magnet Magazine

“Taking influence from many different genres, Mr. Goshness isn’t afraid to go in several directions, all while maintaining its own sound. Whether it’s Kaliandra Capri’s and Mark Tardif’s pristine vocal harmonies, Aidaen Carson”s keyboard wizardry, or Zack Friend and Myles Dunne’s tight grooves, Mr. Goshness continues to evolve and grow. Catchy vocals, heavy guitars and creative arrangements are abundant on their debut album “A Guide To All Things Twisted.”…twelve powerful and fearless tracks,” – Count Yourself In Media

“a deranged cocktail of pop, progressive metal, and Kurt Weil show tunes.” – Jim Blair (Producer)

“As one who for decades has deeply appreciated unabashed symphonic exploration and grandiose statements within rock and pop, an approach to making music such as that displayed by Mr. Goshness pleases me no end.” – David Morrison at The Freelance Writer

“The theatrical pomp of Muse; Elfman’s dizzying orchestrations; the power-pop perfection of Jellyfish; the Fab Four’s melodic genius, and Mother Mother’s big, contemporary pop hooks are all over this brilliant offering.” – David Morrison at The Freelance Writer

“I cherish bands who follow their own tune and take risks in the name of originality — so kudos, Mr. Goshness.” – Mark Anthony Brennan at Ride The Tempo
