Doom Blues PINK COCOON Updates Canadian Tour Dates
PINK COCOON, the solo project created by Zolla Marc, recently announced that he would be hitting the road for the “Ridin Out West Tour” this April. Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances, some dates have been postponed and an updated tour routing has been announced. (dates listed below)
PINK COCOON live is loud, but can be soft when needed. It’s doom, it’s blues, it’s pop, it’s rock n roll. With a wide range of influences, the band melds an intricate soundscape that spans across genres. Providing a solid groove, the PINK COCOON experience includes headbanging and dancing for an overall great time.
PINK COCOON started as a solo project by Zolla Marc recording all instruments and vocals in studio. He plays with a bassist and drummer for the live shows to maintain the power trio sound. With low-fi/garage rock EP “Alienation” (2017) under his belt, PINK COCOON plans to consistently release music with a different, crisp edge this year. A new single already planned to be unveiled in the coming weeks.
Fans of Black Sabbath, Jimi Hendrix, and Nirvana will enjoy the musical stylings of PINK COCOON.

Pink Cocoon is a power trio lead by Zolla Marc from Montreal, Canada. He likes to call his music “Doom Blues” focusing on psychedelic old school heavy bluesy riffs with a touch of catchy melodies and doom. The live band lineup is the classic 3 piece set up with Zolla Marc on guitar/lead vocals with a revolving line up on bass and drums.
Pink Cocoon initially started off 2 summers ago as a solo studio project writing, performing and producing the Alienation – 6 Track EP. as of April 2018, it is currently available for full stream and purchase online. Concerning live performance, the band is loud and uses full-stack amplification so the audience can engulf themselves into the Pink Cocoon experience playing every gig like their last. Feedback and sustain are also necessary. The band’s first live performance was on April 21st, 2017 in Montreal and has played over 50 gigs in the first year.

Western Canada’s decibel breaking festival LOUD AS HELL is proud to announce the 2020 line up for its ninth year of heavy metal and camping in the prairie badlands of Drumheller, Alberta. Roaring from the Dinosaur Downs Stampede Grounds from July 31st to August 2nd, this year’s festival headliners over the 3 nights will include Denver’s extreme metal titans ALLEGAEON, Toronto heavy metal acrobats SKULL FIST plus brutal progressive death from Vancouver’s NECK OF THE WOODS. Formed in 2003, Your Last Wish is a death metal band with thrash metal overtones, melodic yet aggressive, which should appeal to fans of The Black Dahlia Murder, Hatesphere and Darkest Hour. Hailing from Montreal, Canada the group has encapsulated a wide variety of influences to produce a sound that is haunting and harsh, delicate and disciplined.
Using 8 strings guitars, the band has even more possibilities to achieve the desired sound of frantic riffs and evil vocals. You Last Wish has intrigued and entertained audiences across the region, appearing at festivals including Grind Your Mind Open Air and sharing the stage with bands such as Kalmah, Beyond Creation and Archspire.
Eight years after their sophomore album 2012’s “Desolation”, Montreal, QC melodic death metallers Your Last Wish is back in full force with a new darker and heavier sound with their third studio release 2020’s “Eradicate”. The concept album beautifully exploits post apocalyptic themes. The album was composed and recorded entirely by guitarist David Gagné, while all lyrics were written by vocalist Roxana Bouchard. More than half the songs on this bilingual album are in French. Track ‘Pandore’ features a guest appearance by Beyond Creation’s Simon Girard.

– Eradicate: Thrashy melodic death metal madness. It’s the most straightforward song of the album. It was made to be a single.
– Exile: Oldschool thrash influences, also introduces odd-time signatures.
– Monarque: One of our four songs in French, long instrumental passages and probably the most progressive song of the album.
– Décimé: It has a strong middle-eastern / tribal vibe and oldschool death metal riffs.
– Lost: Groovy, mid-tempo and orientally ambient soundscape to bang your head to.
– Pursuit: A clash of modern and oldschool death metal, all in one package!
– Pandore: Tribal prog duet with Simon Girard from Beyond Creation. Musically unleashes the apocalypse.
– Prestige: Originally written by Jean-François Gagné, very reminiscent of the previous album “Desolation” (2012).

We are Jupiter Hollow. Some people consider us to be alternative metal, some people consider us to be progressive rock, and some people just like what they hear. We don’t believe in genre; we believe genre is an excuse to pigeonhole our sound. For us, we prefer to keep our options open.
When you hear Jupiter Hollow you may feel an overwhelming sense of space, arrangement and instrumentation. However, behind the music there are just 2 humans: Kenny Parry and Grant MacKenzie. We met on Earth in the year of 2015 at a musical gathering, where the universe inevitably conceived Jupiter Hollow. Since then, we’ve expressed part one of a conceptual endeavor called “AHDOMN”. This story is to be continued with the release of our new record “Bereavement” on June 12, 2020.
As for what Jupiter Hollow sounds like, that’s for you to determine. We don’t care what we sound like, since we don’t have control over our destiny. Our path is written, but we must walk it. Therefore, the music has already been created in the future, and we are messengers of the present.
We are from Earth, from your future. Moving forward through time is to move forward through space. We are evolutionary descendants of our past, we evolve from our actions. Jupiter Hollow is here to share the missing link of your human existence.

Omniarch was formed from the ashes of two former bands, Netherward and This is War. Morgan Lambert (guitar), Mason Wilson (guitar), Jon Hofmann (bass), Mackenzie LaHaye (vocals), and Henry Giesbrecht (drums) who had played gigs together in separate bands, had always entertained the idea of joining forces. Eventually, conditions allowed for the amalgamation of the two bands into a new and wholly different alloy of metal and formed the beginning of Omniarch.
Giesbrecht, the original drummer, added a new dynamic to the band with his fresh approach to metal song structures. Eventually, Giesbrecht moved on and made way for Sean Higgins to step in and make his own indelible mark on the band with his nuanced sense of rhythm and pace. The disparate and yet congruous influences have come together to showcase a truly unique and exciting band, full of opportunity.
Each Omniarch song starts with a collaboration between Wilson and Lambert to determine the riffs, which are then brought to the rhythm section where they are morphed into a cohesive idea that is splattered with aggressive technical death metal vocals with themes surrounding history, fantasy/science fiction, and mythology.

In the winter of 2008, Black Pestilence was formed in Calgary, Canada by bassist/vocalist Valax. Initially, Black Pestilence started as a one-man studio project, but years afterward, it evolved into a three-piece band. Over the course of twelve years, Black Pestilence has been known for their unique sound by combining black metal, punk rock, and noise.
The band has released six full-length albums, two EPs, filmed multiple music videos, and performed all over Canada and Europe. They have also shared the stage with a number of notable bands including The Black Dahlia Murder, Toxic Holocaust, Absu, Skeletonwitch, and Wednesday 13.
Their latest studio album “Hail The Flesh” was released on May 1st, 2020 and consists of nine infectious and chaotic anthems.

“The up-tempo single ‘Plague Peasant’ is heavily driven by the melodic lead guitar, which has been the trademark of many Finnish melodic death metal bands, but not so often for Torchia. This song is somewhat an homage to our great countrymen and another favorite for all fans of old-school melodic death and Finnish sound.”
Arising from the inner darkness of composer and lyricist Ville Riitamaa, TORCHIA takes inspiration from a multitude of metal subgenres and their mission is to revitalize the genre of melodic death metal by bringing in a sense of danger and unpredictability.

About:
TORCHIA is a five-members metal band from Tampere, Finland. They released their first full-length album “Of Curses and Grief” in October 2017. The album was produced and mixed by renowned Finnish producer Hiili Hiilesmaa who is known for his work with bands like HIM, Amorphis, Ensiferum and
Apocalyptica. The album was picked 7th best Finnish album of 2017 by Inferno Magazine, the biggest metal media in Finland.
After that album’s release, TORCHIA toured Finland, Europe and Taiwan playing dozens of shows. In early 2019, the band struck a booking and management deal with Heavy Metal Heart and by the end of 2019, they signed a deal with Rockshots Records from Italy to release the next TORCHIA album “The Coven” for March 27, 2020.
