NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – June 17, 2022

30 immolated; 16 returned’s New Video “The Antechamber of Hell” Reimagines Paulo Passolini’s Infamous Film “Saló or 120 Days of Sodom”

Hamilton, ON, Canada’s obscene and brutal avant-garde quartet 30 immolated; 16 returned have a new music video inspired by the terrifying reimagining of Paulo Passolini’s infamous film Saló or 120 Days of Sodom based on The Marquis de Sade’s novel of the same name. “The Antechamber of Hell”, which is a track off the band’s 2019 self-titled debut album, is a video that might be too gruesome to watch and the band is giving a warning that it might be NSFW for some, so make sure you’re in a safe space when viewing.

Dr. Death (garotte and vomit) adds:

“The video encapsulates imagery from the entire story including the abduction, torture, and eventual murder of a chosen victim portrayed by actress Xena T. With the aid of make-up artist Stacy Vervaecke, Duane Lyons of Bangover Media storyboarded, planned, filmed, and edited the video himself proving himself to be a force to be reckoned with in the metal video genre. The video perfectly reflects the band’s sexually sadistic lyrics and aesthetic appearance in the debut self-titled album.”

30 immolated; 16 returned are one of Canada’s most despicable extreme metal bands. Developed through intense and abstract systematic theories of chaos and transgression – 30 immolated depicts the sexual taboos found in the Marquis de Sade’s 120 Days of Sodom, through a non-stop battery of screaming guitars, punishing drums, and thundering bass accompanied by the cries of torture and violence. In addition, Madame Champville often brings her favourite pet(s) / slave(s) along, who under threat of further violence, distribute gifts of Shit Cookies and Blood to the band’s spectators.

30 immolated; 16 returned began their sadistic journey in Edmonton, Alberta, but have since moved to southern Ontario in search of new willing victims! They have since performed several concert dates in Toronto and Hamilton, most notably at the Hamilton Death Fest for Neurotic Entertainment and as openers for Toronto’s own Arcanevil, and for Mexican death metal outfits Darkside Ritual and Disrupted.

30 immolated; 16 returned ’s sonic violence has been exported internationally with physical and digital sales in China, the United States, and Slovenia. Their goal is to continue to expand their terror throughout southern Ontario, Canada, and beyond to the rest of the world!

They have unleashed two albums, their latest offering was released in 2021, “The Burial of the Dead”, an arrangement of Igor Stravinsky’s controversial 1913 ballet “The Rite of Spring”, which followed the band’s 2019 self-titled debut.

Both albums can be found on 30immolated16returned.bandcamp.com, Spotify.

EPK – Eternal Closure – At the Center of It All – Chapter I (2022)

Publicist – jon[@]ashermediarelations[.]com

For fans of Killswitch Engage, As I Lay Dying, Currents, Trivium, Periphery

Album Title: At the Center of It All – Chapter I
Release Date: September 23, 2022
Label: Self-Release
Distribution: DistroKid

“We are beyond excited to present our latest work to the public. “At the Center of It All” is our most ambitious project to date. It features bigger and more intricate arrangements, a more aggressive edge as well an interplay between female and male vocals. This third album displays how our songwriting abilities have taken a whole new step. We are proud of every song on this album, which is more diverse, heavier, and more technical than anything we have done before. The lyrics come from the heart about what we stand for, how we feel about a range of subjects, and how we get mad at those who reject nuance and empathy in their lives. We want to thank Christian Donaldson, who helps us produce our records since the beginning, for once again delivering an incredible-sounding record that will blow people’s minds.

‘Practice What You Preach’ was a purposeful choice as the first single. It’s one of our most aggressive cuts and really showcases Kat as a vocalist, as well as our 3-guitarist lineup. Everybody gets a chance to shine.”  – Eternal Closure

“There is really only one way to listen to At the Centre of It all – Chapter 1 by Eternal Closure, and that is very loud indeed! So, turn your music listening device up to maximum volume and prepare your ears for the sweet and sour sound of modern metal at its very best. At the Centre of It All – Chapter 1 has elements of Death Metal, Melodic Metal and Nu Metal in a full-on metal cocktail that just works so well it will leave you crying out for more!” – Metal Epidemic

“Okay, color us pretty impressed by this one. If you’re unfamiliar with Eternal Closure, you won’t be for long. They’re pretty clearly a metal band that should have a lot of fans across the world, and it seems more are taking notice of their fairly unique sound. With influences ranging across the spectrums of death metal, thrash metal, metalcore, and even progressive leanings, the band’s new song “Dimensions Apart” is a good way to get acquainted.” – The New Fury

“their metalcore has been bulked up by a new vocalist and a revamped lineup that now features three guitarists and male/female vocal interplay. They take advantage of their bolstered abilities with songs that let them stand out, like the dueling harmonies from the singers on “Exiled” and a vast-sounding conclusion to “Moonrider.” … the six tracks reach across metalcore to thrash, progressive, and ambient avenues. It’s clear with this release that the behind-the-scenes shifts over the last two to three years have worked to Eternal Closure’s benefit.” – Heavy Music HQ

“Dans l’ensemble, ETERNAL CLOSURE semble plus en forme que jamais. Les combinaisons entre l’aspect très mélodique progressif et le modern metal s’agencent bien aux influences plus old-school metalcore. Je vous recommande principalement les titres « Conflict I », « Dimensions Apart » et « From One Side to Another ». À découvrir !” – Metal Universe

“Having many metalcore sympathies, I find it very difficult to critique an outstanding metalcore album. This, I can assure you, is one of the top core albums in general I have had the pleasure of listening to this year. If you like your metalcore to feel progressive without being pretentious, then check out this certified banger of tracks by ETERNAL CLOSURE.” – Female Fronted Power

“The chugging rhythmic beast of “From One Side to Another” is an absolute powerhouse that has a couple of serious gut punch moments as the band paint in colour and shade, never afraid to add melodic touches to otherwise brutal cuts and vice versa while at the same time having the musicianship to pull off those left turns with style and grace. The grand finale in “Moonrider” takes things into the epic realm, going bigger and bolder with atmospheric Metalcore and Progressive touches to create something with cinematic qualities that still retains that heavier core element as an orientation. On this evidence while you wait for the second chapter which has almost instantly become a highly anticipated one, you’ll also want to check out the previous records. That’s testament to how good this record is [8.5/10]” – Metal Noise

“Having three guitarists REALLY pays dividends with this style of songwriting. Personal standouts for me on this album were the tracks ‘Exiled’, ‘Dimensions Apart’ and ‘Moonrider’. ‘Exiled’ in particular as a melodic quality underpinned by a subdued sense of aggression that doesn’t take away from the melody. How they managed to pull off an aggressive track that doesn’t particularly feel angry is a testament to this band. The same can be said for most of this album. It is the perfect blend between beauty and beast. I had never heard of this band before and after listening to this EP I’m questioning how the hell I haven’t because this is a breath of fresh air in a world where everything, including music and arts, feels like it’s becoming homogenized. This will definitely be in rotation on my playlists going forward and I’m really looking forward to chapter two. If you can check these guys out you will not be disappointed. I know I wasn’t.” – Uber Rock

“I was greatly entertained by this album. I enjoyed every song, and when all is said and done, isn’t that the point? Similarly, I’ve enjoyed every song I’ve heard from Eternal Closure thus far – that’s impressive. Give this small band a listen today and you may leave astounded.” – Sputnik Music

“ETERNAL CLOSURE deliver a modern, powerful album. The djent-driven rhythmic pushes the songs forward, so do the three guitars with their mighty sound. As they’re alternating with more peaceful and melodious moments, the music comes along with a good variety. The mixed vocals add a wide emotional palette fitting to the personal lyrics. The decision to split “At The Center Of It All” into two chapters is welcomed here, as 30 minutes is a good, short-whiled playing time, and makes me looking forward to Part 2.” – Mostly Metal

“Ultra tight with raw energy that’s absolutely blinding, Color of our Fears crushes skulls.” – The Sounds Won’t Stop

“Eternal Closure have created an excellent piece of music that is hard, melodious, brutal and complex.” – KOBZR Magazine

“[Eternal Closure] have reminded me to want to throw my fists into the air just for the hell of it today.” – Drop the Spotlight

“Having 3 guitarists forces us to come up with more complex arrangements, which is awesome.” – Rock Monster Romania

“I feel like our sound is something that is slightly different than what everyone else is doing here.” – Ever Metal

“[People] should expect to hear modern Metalcore that also blends many different influences. There’s some prog, thrash, death, etc… We don’t really confine ourselves to one thing.” – Devils Gate Music

“The entirety of this album is a ride of emotions that flow from song to song in seamless harmony. Listening to this album was nothing short of magic. 8.5/10” – Insanity Media

=====================================================

BAND STORY ANGLES / FUN FACTS:

1. We are obsessed with cats and have made them part of our brand for a long time.

2. We decided to be a female-fronted band a few years ago to help us stand out and give ourselves more opportunities as far as writing goes.

3. We once had this wonderful idea to have the crowd throw bird seeds at us during a show. We definitely didn’t think that one through. There were bird seeds all over the place, in the crowd, in our cabs, in our drums, it was a nightmare.

4. We once had a show where our old guitarist broke a string during one of the first songs and then he disappeared for most of the set. He broke another string while changing the first one, or something in that vein. He played on about 4 out of the 10 songs. It was really awkward.

5. All of our LPs have been recorded, mixed and mastered by Christian Donaldson. He’s part of the band’s sound now.

6. We aren’t afraid of using memes on our social media and our live shows. Expect to hear and see some when you follow the band.

================================================

The album as a whole explained by Olivier Boitel (guitar, back vocals):

For the album, we wanted to show how versatile we are, but also how heavy we can be. The lyrics are darker and meaner overall, so the music had to reflect that. We’ve decided to split the album into two halves as we felt it would help give the material more chance to breathe. It’s not quite what I’d consider a concept album, but many lyrics and musical ideas are re-used throughout.

The album is divided in two parts and has 13 tracks overall (one of them being an interlude). These are the first 6 tracks aka Chapter 1. The second half should be released somewhere in 2023.

Lyrically, I (Olivier) just speak from the heart. A lot of the lyrics come from what I stand for and are rarely about a character or someone else. When they are “fictional”, they still relate to me at their core. There was a lot less storytelling on this album, if at all. It’s all about how I think and feel about different subjects. The title, At the Center of It All, gives the theme away pretty directly. It’s about seeing things from both sides and getting mad at those that don’t. I do have a relatively firm stance on many of these subjects, but I get angry when people refuse to challenge themselves, and that definitely includes me.

Track by track (LYRICALLY & MUSICALLY) explained by Olivier Boitel (guitar, back vocals):

1. Conflict I: It starts off with a false sense of warmth and security. It’s a pretty intro that is quickly thrown away for fast-paced tapping riffs, syncopated rhythmic patterns, and distorted vocals. There’s a bit of everything in this song. It’s fast, melodic, and pretty relentless once it kicks into full gear. It also gives an overview of the dynamic between Kat and I (Olivier singing. The end of the song is essentially the same heavy thrash riff with different variations to fully beat it into people’s heads. Marine helped a lot in figuring out interesting little details throughout this one. There are also many elements that are reprised in Conflict II, the song that ends the second half of the album. The lyrics deal with both sides of an argument lying or bending the truth to make their position seem like the only valid one. It’s a super destructive mindset. “What’s your message? Who are you?” at the end of the chorus is essentially me calling upon everyone to be honest with themselves and others.

2. Practice What You Preach: This song is a full-on thrash assault for most of its duration. The chorus then becomes a bit more of a heavy groove. I (Olivier) think it’s the first time we’ve had a chorus with 0 clean vocals in it when the verses do feature some. It’s definitely a showcase for Kat. The riffs then become a bit more prog in nature while retaining the thrashy aggressiveness. After the end of the bridge, we bring the song down into a soft clean bridge that slowly develops into this anthemic guitar duo section and eventually goes back to the beginning of the song with the intensity at its peak. The ambient outro then leads directly into Exiled. The lyrics deal with people who think they have it all figured out and resent other people they judge not worthy of speaking on anything.

3. Exiled: This song calms the pace down a little bit, with the emphasis being on vocal harmonies and overall melodic writing. There’s a good amount of clean guitars during the verses (mostly as back and forth with the vocals) and harsh vocals are used sparingly. There are a lot of my Killswitch Engage influences coming back in this one. The song also probably has my favorite guitar solo I’ve ever written. I’ve never been much of a lead guitar player but a big effort was made into improving that for this album. This song showcases it the best. Phil had a lot of elements to had to this song and made it what it is. Philippe also has a killer drum track on this one, one of my favorites for sure. It’s one of my favorites personally, I feel like everything is right where it should be. Lyrically, it’s a more introspective song about staying true to yourself and only changing for your own sake, not how society tells you to.

4. Dimensions Apart: This one was mainly written by Jonathan but had a bit of a different structure initially. It’s more-or-less the sequel to a song from our album Screaming In Silence called Wake Up Dead. It was also mixed with ideas Jo had for other songs that were never used. It’s a pretty straightforward banger, with me showcasing my grittier singing. I wrote and recorded the drums which was a lot of fun. I’ve always played drums and have recorded a bit of drumming on every Eternal Closure album so far. It’s also the first song in Eternal Closure history to feature 7-String guitars. Helps us give a bit it a bit of extra thickness and variety. Lyrics were also written by Jonathan, with me ironing out little things here and there. It’s about the disconnect between generations that was created in part by technology.

5. From One Side to Another: This one was the first song I ever wrote with my 7-String guitar. It’s quite different from everything we’ve done before. It’s super heavy but it’s also a bit simpler and slower than our usual sound. It was probably the hardest song to write and took quite a while to properly arrange. From the moment I started writing it a year ago to the album’s recording there was always something a bit off about the intro and the arrangement lacked finesse. I remember Phil in particular not being the biggest fan at first but growing to love it more and more as it evolved into the beast it is today.
Philippe wrote the lyrics for this one and also had a bit more to say about the writing of it than on the other songs. The drum writing in particular is quite different from what I had written for him at first. The lyrics are about knowing the path ahead but finding the strength to go through the challenge it poses.

6. Moonrider: This song is a mix between an old song from Marine and me putting a more Eternal Closure spin on it. It’s a dark and more ambient song, almost what you could consider a heavy ballad. Putting this one together came pretty seamlessly and it was a lot of fun for me to stretch my writing a little and meet Marine’s style halfway. The chorus is a callback to lyrics from Exiled. The ending minute and a half are one of my favorite moments on the record. It’s so cathartic, it gives me goosebumps every time. We thought it was a nice way to end the first half of At the Center of It All: Chapter I. Leaves you with those big emotions and makes you want more. Lyrically, it’s about feeling the weight of the world on your shoulder and finding no solutions. It’s about the want to disappear when you can’t seem to find your place in society.

Montreal, QC’s Eternal Closure has long been a metalcore mainstay in the Eastern Canadian music scene, but is taking on a new identity with their next album “At the Center of It All – Chapter I” produced with Chris Donaldson (Cryptopsy), which not only showcases their new vocalist, but also gives fans a chance to check out how they have progressed musically, incorporating influences such as post-rock, prog metal, and djent. The first look into their new album is the single “Practice What You Preach”, one of the band’s most aggressive cuts. They explain further:

“This song is a full-on thrash assault for most of its duration. The chorus then becomes a bit more of a heavy groove. The lyrics deal with people who think they have it all figured out and resent other people they judge not worthy of speaking on anything.”

On “Practice What You Preach”, every member gets a chance to shine on one of the album’s most cathartic tracks, where old-school thrash riffs seamlessly blend with melodic guitar solos and modern production. The music video shows a woman starting to see the ugly side of herself that she buried inside, starting to replace who she thought she was. Mirror imagery was used in almost every shot to emphasize the theme. Montreal-based filmmaker Matt Veillette and his team really went out of their way to create powerful and evocative scenes that enhance the song’s message.

As for the rest of the album, Eternal Closure presents a heavier sound than ever before. Their lyrics are darker and meaner overall and the music reflects that. They decided to split the album into two parts to give the material more of a chance to breathe. It’s not quite a concept album, but many lyrics and musical ideas are re-used throughout.

With a wicked rush of potent riffs, powerful vocals, and unending passion, Eternal Closure offers a lot for fans of core and proggy genres, they are most suitable for fans of Killswitch Engage, As I Lay Dying, and Currents.

Brazil’s Brutta has concocted a blend of extreme blackened death metal that will entice metalheads around the world that desire fast, brutal and relentless music that will make heads bang, and faces melt. They are introducing their debut self-titled album, which is streaming now via its premiere on Metal-Rules HERE.

They share their thoughts on the upcoming release:

“The album is a definitive punch in your face… or maybe we could say a hammer in your forehead! A mixture of open evil chords with blast beats finding a defined yet tormenting growling vocal. The song themes are very precise and the lyrics bring a subjective aspect of human mental conflicts from a darker angle. It’s right there, aggression, darkness, heaviness, a critical sound mass with a huge personality, not to mention its fine production. A huge amount of energy will be released while listening to the album, guaranteed (laughs).”

Having worked together before in past bands, the trio of drummer Gledson Gonçalves; guitarist/vocalist Adriano Ribeiro (Athemon), and bassist Tom MacLean (Athemon, ex-Haken) work collaboratively on all the songs, and loads of ideas flow between them resulting in sheer power, that is energizing, obscure and refreshing punch in the face. They cover topics such as existentialism, murderers, religion, and evil. They back up their morbid themes with a solid display of blackened death metal suitable for the harshest of mosh pits.

The self-titled album has eight tracks, each one more deadly than the last. There is something for everyone on this initial offering and it is only the tip of the iceberg for them, there are plans to launch another album by next year already, as they have a bunch of new material waiting to be unearthed.

Staying true to their DIY attitude, the album was produced, mixed, and mastered by MacLean at Twelve Tone Studio. It is recommended listening for those who enjoy Dark Funeral, Morbid Angel, and Vltimas.

The album is being released on June 17th, 2022.

About:
After working for Athemon (Adriano Ribeiro (guitars, vocals) and Tom MacLean (ex-Haken) (bass)) as their session drummer, Gledson Gonçalves had the idea of creating another project with more extreme music. Recruiting Ribeiro (guitars, vocals) and MacLean (bass), both were very eager to dive headfirst into the aggressive sound Gonçalves had in mind. A few jams later and Brutta was officially formed as a studio project over two contents. Gonçalves and Ribeiro in Brazil and MacLean in the UK.

Brutta works collaboratively through every part of the process, first Ribeiro develops and assembles the riffs, to which Gonçalves adds drum parts. The final musical touches come in as MacLean weaves the bass riffs and then vocals are layered on top with lyrical themes coming from human behaviour, especially its darker angles.

As they plan to hit the stage in the near future, fans will be met with loads of energy and power during the set as Brutta releases their demons through strong performances, so the audience can do the same.

A modern and in-your-face version of obscure and wicked music, Brutta rises like brutal “Heavy Post Metal” their debut, self-titled album will be released on June 17, 2022.

0 ELEKTRIC MISTRESS Are Now Streaming Psychedelic Stoner Rock EP “Chapter 99”

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – June 15, 2022

Elektric Mistress Are Now Streaming Psychedelic Stoner Rock EP “Chapter 99”

Enticing listeners with a smooth blend of psychedelic groove and rocking stoner licks, Halifax, Canada’s Elektric Mistress have a banging EP coming out entitled “Chapter 99” on June 17th, and before it officially drops they have teamed up with Bravewords for its full stream premiere HERE.

For “Chapter 99”, they toned down a bit of the spacey stuff in favour of classic, straightforward stoner rock, inspired heavily by Black Sabbath, and explore lyrical themes such as madness, the occult, the dangers of substance abuse, and lost love. They share their excitement for the release:

“Friends, this EP has been a long time coming. As a lot of other bands experienced at the beginning of the pandemic, not being able to gather as a full band or find open studio space kind of made making music difficult. So we decided to do it mostly by ourselves, at a distance. With some help, we got it done. We’re stoked to finally present it for streaming everywhere. We hope it’s worth a listen or three.”

An immersive rock experience, both live and on record, Elektric Mistress is the kind of band you turn up loud and vibe out to. Musically proficient, the mood gets set with the initial riffs and the group intuitively jams everything out, employing genre influences such as sludge and blues.

The EP is entirely self-recorded, which is a process the band is still working out, and with pockets full of original riff ideas, they have a slew of new tracks ready to go, so fans of this release won’t have long to wait for the next batch.

Akin to ‘smoke rings in a blizzard’, Elektric Mistress offers high-energy psychedelic heartache along with some witchcraft! They are recommended listening for fans of Pink Floyd, Kyuss, and Sleep.

About:
Channeling the energy of inspirations such as Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, and Pink Floyd, Halifax, Canada Elecktic Mistress is all about the groove with their face-punching psychedelic stoner rock firmly rooted in what has come before, but also pushing towards what is ahead. If you’re looking for a true retro psychedelic synth-rock experience with a progressive edge, Elektric Mistress is here to deliver! Take a deep breath and ride the wave through a hypnotic haze of electric highs and sedated tones to take you back in time and return again.

Comprised of guitarists Kyle Cantfell (Guitar) and Jason Cantfell, bassist Kieran Richardson, vocalist Maxwell Poole, keyboardist, Riley MacDonald and drummer Valencia Canales , Elektric Mistress began their journey through oblivion in 2018, making noise on the Canadian East coast scene, which included performing on the area’s largest event, the Maritime Metal and Hard Rock Festival during the same year of their conception.

The band released their first debut in 2019 with their self-titled EP showcasing their unique soundscape of stoner rock ignited with crunchy, groovy guitar riffs, bombastic drums, dirty keys, and choice bass licks plus loud and raspy vocals. Now in 2022, the band returns with their follow-up and sophomore EP “Chapter 99” for release in June 2022.

The band adds: “Friends, this EP has been a long time coming. We hope it’s worth a listen or three. We think we’ve been steady on the course as far as evolution goes for this next release. However, now that guitarist Jason Cantfell has joined the band, we’ve been doing a lot more guitar harmonies and stuff we couldn’t do before; the end part in Cocaine Johnny is a good example of that. Definitely expect more of that in the future.”

“Chapter 99” is due out on June 17, 2022 and will be available on all digital platforms.

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – June 14, 2022

Reminder – HELSOTT Kicks Off Will of The West Tour w/ Malphas

New Album “Will and The Witch” Out Now! via M-Theory Audio

HELSOTT – America’s leading pagan metal band is hitting the road in support of their new album, “Will and The Witch,” released on May 20th via M-Theory Audio. Joining them on their eight-show West Coast trek is Philadelphia’s symphonic black metal mystics Malphas.

Will In The West Tour – HELSOTT w/ Malphas
06/16 – Viper Room – Hollywood, CA
06/17 – The Black Rat – Concord, CA
06/18 – Den of Sin – Sacramento, CA
06/19 – Dante’s – Portland, OR

06/22 – The Shredder – Boise, ID
06/23 – Aces High Saloon – Salt Lake City, UT
06/24 – Brick By Brick – San Diego, CA

HELSOTT‘s new album, “Will and The Witch,” is a concept record that tells a fictional story about how Billy The Kid became the fastest gunfighter in the wild west. HELSOTT returns to its musical roots on “Will and The Witch” with heavier thrash overtones and less orchestral work than their prior record, while catching listeners off-guard with new influences befitting of the album’s theme. thrash metal, power metal, and death metal all converge with acoustic campfire segments, Southern banjo and fiddle, and Native American-inspired hand drums and flutes. The end result is a record that is musically ambitious while remaining melodic, heavy, and true to the underlying sound of HELSOTT.

The band’s latest effort – mixed and mastered by J-F Dagenais (Kataklysm, Misery Index, Ex Deo) and featuring artwork by Felipe Machado Franco (Blind Guardian, Rhapsody, Gamma Ray) – is augmented by a who’s who of heavy hitters. In addition to Owens, HELSOTT is joined on “Will and The Witch” by percussionist Vladimir Reshetnikov (Arkona, Imperial Age), guitarist/bassist Freddie Vidales (Ashes of Ares, Iced Earth), violinist Lethien (Elvenking), guitarist Kevin Storm (Heidevolk, Autumn, Fleetburner), guitarist Bjorn Friedrichsen (Withered Moon, Sanguineus) and Whistlin’ Rick Storey.

Available on CD, a limited-edition gold double vinyl, and digital editions are now available at retail or online now or check http://smarturl.com/helsott.

Since their formation, the California-based HELSOTT – whose name means “fatal illness” in Old Norse – has paid homage to pagan cultures, mythology, and history while keeping true to their American influences. The group’s unique mix of folk metal, death metal, symphonic metal, thrash, classical, and rock was first unveiled to the world with the 2012 release of their debut EP “Fólkvangr.” The band soon caught the attention of audiences on a larger scale during the 2013 Paganfest North American tour, where they performed with Ensiferum, Tyr, and Trollfest. That tour set the stage for the 2014 release of “Woven,” which was supported by tours alongside Arkona and Heidevolk.

In the years since the original release of “Woven,” HELSOTT signed with M-Theory Audio, released another EP (2017’s “The Healer”) and a second full-length (2018’s “Slaves and Gods”), and logged many touring miles worldwide with artists including Korpiklaani, Arkona, I Am Morbid, Necrophagia, Tengger Cavalry, Ashes of Ares, Felix Martin, Skyforger and Finsterforst. In addition, the band performed at major European festivals such as Wacken Open Air and Cernunnos Pagan Fest. “Woven” was also remixed, remastered, and re-released by M-Theory Audio in November 2020 in celebration of the group’s 10th anniversary.

0 Rockshots Records – SilentLie Are Giving Fans “Something To Remember” From Upcoming Album “Equilibrium” Out September 2022

  • June 14, 2022
  • by Asher
  • · Music News · SilentLie

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – June 14, 2022

Rockshots Records – SilentLie Are Giving Fans “Something To Remember” From Upcoming Album “Equilibrium” Out September 2022

Italian melancholic metallers SilentLie are giving fans “Something To Remember” with the first single off their forthcoming sophomore full-length “Equilibrium” due out this coming September via Rockshots Records to follow 2015’s “Layers of Nothing”.

The track is a hymn to seizing the moment. It’s presented in a new music video that features a good pace, which culminates in a great refrain. Watch the video at https://youtu.be/jZqqxuEkUAE

Spotify – https://spoti.fi/39nrmho

Always drawn to the dark side of emotions, SilentLie’s “Equilibrium” proceeds along this path. It stands on modern heavy tones and an obscure mood that can be compared to bands like Ghost, Ozzy Osbourne, and The Cure. Spreading their dark wings, drums, and bass, SilentLie builds a wall of sound on which the guitars dance with tombstone keys while a powerful female voice embraces the listener with gritty, but catchy melodies. Many of the songs on the album, thematically, deal with the eternal struggle between good and evil, with lyrics introspective and personal. There’s a maturity to the music that acts as a pendulum swinging between 80s liquid verses and gloomy, almost doomy, parts.

“Our first EP, “Blood Under Snow” was a collection of five obscure and atmospheric tracks, while our first full-length “Layers of Nothing” featured dark/gothic influences with some old-fashioned Sabbath riffing. The new material on ‘Equilibrium” reveals a more focused sound with a blasting production. It’s deep, heavy, and gritty with a dark outline. It’s a collection of 10 heavy songs, a journey in the dark without fear.” adds the band.

“Equilibrium” was mixed in the U.S.A. by Grammy Award winner Dave Hagen at Dark Horse Studios (Mastodon, Evanescence, Alice in Chains). The album will be released on September 30th.

About:

SilentLie was formed in Trieste, Italy in 2005. In 2007, they recorded “Behind My Face”, a demo that gave the band several opportunities. In 2008, the song “Silence of Your Mind” appeared on two compilations: The Funeral Vol.2 (for the American label 272 Records) and Maximum Rock Attack (for the Magazine Maximum Rock).

In 2009, the song “River Of Torments” was part of the Blood Sisters film soundtrack, from which a video was also extracted. In 2013, the band released the EP Blood Under Snow, a collection of five obscure and atmospheric tracks and in the same year, the video of the single “Regret” was filmed. In 2015, the debut full-length album “Layers Of Nothing” was released by Bakerteam/Scarlet records, later followed by the video of the title track. The album featured dark/gothic influences with some old-fashioned Sabbath riffing. After a hiatus due to personal reasons, SilentLie returned in 2021 to begin work on their second album to be mixed at Dark Horse Studios in the USA by the Grammy Award-winning Dave Hagen. The new material reveals a more modern and focused sound with a blasting production, but SilentLie still holds its identity: deep, heavy, and gritty with a dark outline.

What the press is saying:
“Osyron is a band that takes matters into their own hands and literally does most of the production and studio work in-house. They have lovingly remixed their last album, and given fans old and new a brand new take on three songs which are worth the price of the album on their own. The music is all well executed and conceived, and the musicianship is top-notch for every player. Whether you already have the original release or not, the Kingsbane – Deluxe Edition is more than worth the price to add to your collection.” – Metal Express Radio

“This is a band in its best form. Osyron has shown that it continues to improve in its production level, so its next full length should be a reflection of the great evolution that they have shown in this reissue.” – Metal Rules (Review – Kingsbane Reissue 2021)

“‘Kingsbane’ Voted #17 Best of 2017” – Metal Rules

“I loved every second of this album. It is a fantastic experience. From the very first notes of the album to the last, your attention is completely captured. I even have had a hard time writing this review while listening to the album because I kept getting lost in the music. It just sucks you in. This is, without a doubt, a must-have album! You don’t want to miss out on this one. It is an experience that will become a staple of your collection. I know it will be a standout in mine. I loved every second and I know you will too.” – Uber Rock

“another brilliant record from this thrilling band.” – Ever Metal (Kingsbane Deluxe Edition (Remixed/Remastered))

“This is a great blend of epic heavy/folk metal that combines the folk stylings of bands such as Blind Guardian, with 90s thrash elements and 90s symphonic power metal style vocals.” – Cave Dweller Music – (Kingsbane Deluxe Edition (Remixed/Remastered))

“Long time readers will know by now that I am partial to the weirder side of heavy music. Dirty Shirt certainly has my attention this week. They’re like a mix of 6:33, Russkaja, and Turisas. This is bombastic, fun metal with Romanian folk mixed in. ” – Metal Injection

Rockshots Records – ONELEGMAN Reveal Title Track For New Album “Event Horizon” Out October 2022

Rockshots Records will be releasing ONELEGMAN’s new album “Event Horizon” this coming October 21, 2022.

The third full length from the trio, “Event Horizon” is ONELEGMAN’s most peculiar release to follow a new concept for each one of its tracks; to create a mosaic with sounds, lyrics, and graphics in order to show to the listener the direction of their journey. The band explains in further detail:

“We’ve always meant for our music to give listeners an odyssey and this intention was never stronger than on this third album. We have aimed high, but not necessarily far, we focus on the intimacy of humanity, sometimes on the unconscious, and to explore the universe to the limit of possible knowledge and consciousness. We titled the album “Event Horizon” because it is precisely that, an EVENT HORIZON. This album is an auditory exploration of new worlds, the chaos theory, the last days of a star’s life, the direction of time, entropy, the fourth dimension that is gravity, love as an elementary form of existence, existence as a mere force of attraction and repulsion between electrons, existence as creatures of God or as sons of physics and chemistry.”

It is not the band’s intention to translate the works of scientists such as Greene, Rovelli, Bertone, Hawking, Jim Al-Khalili, and Primo Levi into music, but to take inspiration from their treatises, terminologies, and thoughts to build cosmic and quantum images where they search for the true human essence, perhaps where life is born.

Today, the band is revealing their first single and the album’s title track with a new music video that can be watched at https://youtu.be/k3G7xb4O0QU

The band adds:

“Welcome to the world of science fiction. Black holes challenge the nature of space and time, passing through one of them would mean understanding and revealing the intimate secret of the universe. Event Horizon is not only a physical limit that our current technology does not allow us to cross, it’s a mental limit we’ll have to push ourselves to cross to understand the real potential of our mind and the true meaning of life. This track reflects the power of the lyrics with heavy and monumental guitar riffs, orchestral strings, and wide choruses. The video clip was made capturing the creation of a painting by Alessandro Rinaldoni, a talented artist and close friend of ours since the beginning of our career.”

ONELEGMAN is recommended for fans of Devin Townsend, Faith No More, and Alice In Chains.

About:

ONELEGMAN was formed in 2003 in Reggio Emilia, Italy. They introduced themselves to the world with their 2007 self-produced EP. In 2011, they collaborated with Dysfunction Production, an Italian team of producers who worked with Dino Cazares (Fear Factory), Tue Madsen (Meshuggah), Logan Mader (Machine Head) and Dan Korneff (Paramore), Bjorn Strid (Soilwork) among the others to produce their debut album “The Crack”.

In 2015, they released their sophomore full-length “DO YOU REALLY THINK THIS WORLD WAS MADE FOR YOU?”. The record was a more rock-oriented, dynamic, orchestral concept album about people experiencing, living, and interpreting the theme of change through a tragedy that leaves a mark on their lives forever. It was dedicated to those affected by the earthquakes that struck the Emilia-Romagna region in Northern Italy during May 2012.

Supporting their catalogue with tours across Italy and sharing the stage with bands like HATEBREED, WOLFMOTHER, and LACUNA COIL among many others, ONELEGMAN entered the studio in 2019 to create their third album, “Event Horizon” now set for release in 2022.
