Adding to today’s menu of much listened tunes, Holly Dish is serving up her debut album “Dishology”, released today October 19th. Recorded in her home town of Montreal with the help of local producer Voyce, you can call “Dishology” pop, you can call it hip-hop, but whatever you call it, its goal is clear: Inspire girls to proudly show off what they’re all about.
“Dishology represents for every lady to rise up and be yourself. Don’t get lost in the mix, make the mix happen for you.” comments Holly Dish.
The mix definitely happened for Holly Dish when a vacation in Maui turned into a musical holiday in the South Pacific and soon followed a stint in Vancouver and the resort hot spot of Whistler, BC. Finally ending her musical travels in Montreal, Dish brought her experiences to the studio to create the eclectic hip hop influenced album “Dishology”. So open your mind and get ready as Holly Dish sets out to infiltrate CD collections and radio airwaves nationwide. It’s on and upwards from here!

On the road and going coast to coast, Vancouver’s follk metal contingent of Scythia will be pillaging their Montreal “Exiled Across Canada” tour date on the best night of the year. Halloween!!!
Already known for wearing their viking inspired clad that even includes an oboe of death player wrapped in a rabbit skin bra. Scythia will fit pefectly in place on Halloween night as they take to the stage at Katakombes (1635 St. Laurent) on Sunday, October 31st alongside Valfreya, Heroik, touring mates Marching Mind (Vancouver) and The Unconscious Mind.
“There’s no better city in Canada to play on Halloween then Montreal! We’ve been sharpening our axes and prepping are war cries for this night of plunder!” comments Scythia’s Dave Khan. “We come to conquer your ale and heathens and show Montreal the fierce force from the riders of Scythia.”
The night will consist of an unforgettable Halloween party that includes a hanging every hour on the hour for those with scurvy! (aka no Halloween costume) where they will be dunked into a bucket full of freshly shipped nordic ice waters.
Plus a planned appearance from Thor (not the metal music god), the God of Thunder as he leads his viking followers to compete to be the Viking Master of his hammer!
