DEFECT DESIGNER have unleashed a “stellar” music video to promote their single ‘StarDust’ off of their recent full-length ‘Ageing Accelerator’ released through Sleaszy Rider Records this past July. The entirely instrumental track looms over the video, which allows viewers to trek the galaxy over guitar harmonies and shoegaze-esque drums. The video clocks in just under 3 minutes providing a symphonic piece paired with celestial imagery creating an incredible cosmic experience.

“It is always not easy to make a video for an instrumental song, so we wanted to make something very nice and not too complicated, with motion that fits the song’s pace. This is a melodic side of the band, slow and easy-listening.” comments vocalist.guitarist Dmitry Sukhinin.

“It’s an impressive effort, a quantum leap forward from their debut. The arrangements are diverse, and the musicianship is impeccable. They add progressive elements to the crushing death metal, giving it ample variety.” – Heavy Metal About.com

“Blazing, head-scrambling music”- No Clean Singing

“They are in my estimation one of the finest modern death metal acts, combining far too many influences to count into a formula that generates numerous deadly riffs alongside numerous unique, non-repeated segments per song.” – No Clean Singing

“The thrashing is amazing, the inventive solos are killer, and the melody teeters on insane from time to time. Go listen! It’s awesome.” – Yell! Magazine

” This is some modern death metal that isn’t too flashy, nor is it too linear. It’s a true compliment to the album to say that there are some interesting twists and turns throughout, yet everything feels cohesive. There’s some downright brutal moments (“Yellow Grimace”), some trippy moments (“I Remember You Dead”), and just about everything in between. Not to mention the energetic and memorable (hate to say ‘melodic’ here) riffing that works as one of the true highlights of Ageing Accelerator. An intriguing album” – DeadRhetoric

“When it comes to pure, unadulterated death metal, this disk is about as good as it gets. Tracks like “Corpsewatcher”, “Yellow Grimace” and “The Terrible” are a complete metal assault on the ears. If you like your death metal brutal with a side of chaotic musicianship, this release is definitely for you.” – Broken Neck Radio

“a scathing hellstorm of twisted fury on.” – Has It Leaked

“Siberia is known as a large remote expanse of the earth that is unforgivably cold. Even among this cold landscape, there can be hard metal with a brutal tone ” – Seymour Duncan

About:

Engineering a unique style of metal music with oriental instruments from East Asia, Montreal, QC’s Elderoth intertwine modern North American and European styles in a must-hear album with each track flowing across to the next to create a dynamic taste for fans. Featuring intense guitar licks, complex keyboard arrangements and powerful rhythms,Elderoth delivers a challenging sound that is catching the attention of metal aficionados, guitarists and professional musicians around the world for its pinnacle of musicianship, composition and technical ingenuity.  The prog power metal band unleashed its new album ‘Mystic’ on April 28th to follow their 2012 self-titled debut.

Founding member and mastermind behind Elderoth, Collin McGee comments:

“We are glad to finally have this album released, quite a lot of work was put into it, and it really was a great learning experience. Bringing in the new far eastern oriental influences has really added a new twist to the development of our own unique style. I feel it is only just the beginning. This album showcases many new fresh and original ideas that we had to put on the table. Originality and being able to catch the listener’s attention has always been a goal for us, that and writing and playing what we enjoy as well. We’ve made this to reach out to our loyal fans and our new potential fans as well.”

Mcgee, the man behind the vision of Elderoth is the primary author, composer, lead guitarist, and singer. Through his years of being self-taught, studying music theory and composing endlessly, McGee has mastered composition on guitar and other instruments at a world-class level, along with writing lyrics and developing his vocals to a professional level that stands out in the audio mix both live and in the studio.

“Elderoth delivers a challenging sound that is catching the attention of metal aficionados, guitarists and professional musicians around the world for its pinnacle of musicianship, composition and technical ingenuity.” – Metal-Rules.com

“Elderoth are the brainchild of a certain Collin McGee, and his singular vision has produced a unique metal sound…a sublime release.” – Hellbound

“Strong prog-metal is usually reserved for DREAM THEATER and the countries of Europe. But this album has put the entire community on notice. Name recognition will only take you so far. This music is fresh, crisp and chocked full of melodies, and keeps one step ahead of you, making you long for more.” – Metal Temple

“Boasting a unique mix of metal music with oriental instruments, Elderoth stands out in the Quebec metal scene due to their overall difference to other acts from the area, and their new album Mystic shows that they might be one of the best in that scene.” – Audio Honesty

“Elderoth present a very uplifting album that feels absolutely genuine in its lyrical themes. Mystic takes full advantage of the Progressive Metal aspect of its sound to tackle other styles in a way that feels natural to the blend of Sonata Arctica andDragonForce-lite material that makes up the album, all the while exploring different atmospheres without any concern to whether it’s heavy enough or not. This commendable approach makes for a journey that leaves you actually feeling good about yourself by the end of this just under thirty-five minute self-released offering. If you’re into well composed music that doesn’t restrict itself to one specific sub-genre of Metal in a way that feels one hundred percent fluid from start to finish, Mystic is something you are going to want to check out right away.” – Apoch’s Metal Review

“After the first spin of Mystic, my immediate reaction was that this music, these arrangements, are quite dense. Mostly this comes from the riffage and orchestration. You could further define the compositions as being either, in the worst sense, busy and cluttered, or in the best sense, complex and intriguing. It’s a knotty conundrum. Eventually, I think it will come down to the each listener’s subjective experience…Call it ambitious and bombastic, Elderoth’s Mystic will definitely give you some music to ponder.” – Danger Dog Review

Vancouver, BC based Test Your Metal Records is proud to announce its next signing of Kelowna, BC’s leading death metal architects GOMORRAH. Already sharing the stage with such bands as Suffocation, Cryptopsy, Archspire, Ancients, Striker, Origin, Beyond Creation, King Parrot, Ninjaspy, KenMode, Bison BC, The Agonist, Fuck The Facts and creating a strong following in their home province and the Okanagan Valley, the brutal death metal band will be releasing their yet to be titled second full length on the label in 2016 to follow up their independently released 2013 debut album ‘Perception’.

GOMORRAH recently released their summer single ‘A Disaster’s Nightmare’ with the support of a music video, which can be viewed at the following link https://youtu.be/CJ42fke4P_g and available for download here.

GOMORRAH is for fans of Behemoth, Cannibal Corpse, Decapitated, Bloodbath, and Necrophagist.

GOMORRAH, originally formed in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia as a black metal outfit in 2006, has now grown into an assaulting death metal band – ready to unleash their boundary-pushing extreme sound on their second full-length album. The forthcoming album is to be released in early 2016 on Canadian label Test Your Metal Records.

“We have stepped up the quality of everything: the pre production, writing, structuring, lyrics, performances, mix and master have all been improved. The combination of those improvements translates to a major difference between our previous recordings, and the single “A Disaster’s Nightmare” – as well as our forthcoming full-length. Improvement, through effort and time.” Comments guitarist Bowen Matheson.

Their name is associated with a historical reference to a city mentioned in the Book of Genesis, the Qur’an and Hadith, the Torah, and the New Testament. The bands music conveys a claustrophobic animosity, through punishing guitar work, high-speed drumming, and guttural vocals. The lyrics provide an accessible gateway into the stories told in each song.

Gomorrah has shared the stage with Suffocation, Cryptopsy, Archspire, Ancients, Striker, Origin, Beyond Creation, King Parrot, Ninjaspy, KenMode, Bison BC, The Agonist, Fuck The Facts, The Order of Chaos, Slumlord, and Fall City Fall.

It rages in a wall of distorted chords and deep, warping riffs with a distinctive tone, punctured by squealing slides that underscore the music’s sense of chaotic derangement and segmented by huge pounding grooves, whose big, atonal jackhammering movement is accompanied by pulsating electronic noises. And for the last third of the song, Gomorrah switch gears dramatically, creating a cold, void-like atmosphere with reverberating guitar notes and the deep thrum of the bass. In an nutshell, it delivers a thorough ass-kicking.” – No Clean Singing

“Wow, I am impressed, for a new band, a death metal band at that, these guys nailed it, you were waiting for a mosh pit to begin, that is just how death metal it was.  You get blast beats that are tight, guttural lyrics, some technical guitar and bass work. There are a few breakdowns, but this album is definitely a must have for any death metal fan out there, it has everything you could possible expect, brutal and fast.” – Metal Titans“Discover the Kelowna (BC) group Gomorrah with their “jam session space” style video for their new single ” A Disaster’s Nightmare.” For lovers of breakdowns, tapping and “in your face” vocals. Regardless of the number of groups with the name Gomorrah, they should place well in their genre. They do not fall short and show you face to face who they are and what they are made.” – Ondes Chocs

“thundering blast beats and heavy riffing, there are melodically dissonant passages that lead up to a crushing blow to the face. If I had to shove them into a subgenre, I would call it Izzy Straddlin’ Death Metal, because it’s a modern death record played with a foot in the past.” – Glacially Musical

“Gomorrah is a heavy death metal band who create a sound which is not afraid to descend into chaos.” – Two Guys Metal Reviews
“Much as their name suggests, this band is not for the faint of heart. With their speed, their intensity and their technicality, they brought the first signs of life to the crowd.” – Concert Addicts
“Kelowna’s metal power house.” – Hard Loss Promotions

GOMORRAH, originally formed in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia as a black metal outfit in 2006, has now grown into an assaulting death metal band – ready to unleash their boundary-pushing extreme sound on their second full-length album. The forthcoming album ‘The Haruspex’ is to be released on January 15, 2016 on Canadian label Test Your Metal Records.

“We have stepped up the quality of everything: the pre production, writing, structuring, lyrics, performances, mix and master have all been improved. The combination of those improvements translates to a major difference between our previous recordings, and the single “A Disaster’s Nightmare” – as well as our forthcoming full-length ‘The Haruspex’.
