Edmonton’s own IDOLATRY was involved in a car accident on May 28 on Highway 17 East of Wawa, Ontario. While travelling down a gravel road their vehicle veered off the road and into the ditch. Lord Matzigkeitus (Vocals) sustained some cracked ribs during the accident ,but no other members were severely hurt. The black metal group has been on tour performing in Quebec, Ontario, and were on route to their show May 29th show in Brandon, MB, which would have been their last date of the tour and has now been cancelled. The band apologizes to fans who were hoping to see them perform.
IDOLATRY has launched a crowdfunding campaign through GoFundMe.com to raise money for vehicle repairs and fuel to get back to Edmonton, Alberta.

The band comments: “Our band Idolatry went out east for our first Canadian tour and right before our last show had a vehicle accident. We are all fine, bruised but fine. Unfortunately, we have to cancel the remainder of the tour and need your help to make it back to Edmonton, Alberta. If you can make a donation we would be incredibly grateful.”
IDOLATRY has a goal of $350 CND and hopes fans and friends will donate so they can make arrangements to make it back to Edmonton.

“Very quickly I became a fan of the band through the work of their vocalist Dalyn. His voice is quite unique, being both strangely death metal low and deathcore high at the same time. The riff work of Ryan “Carbomb” Sorensen, and bassist Kevin Student brought a nice brand of brutality with the occasional bit of melody, while Joel Zimmerman (no, not THAT Joel Zimmerman) blasted beautifully on the drums. Biography
Windy City Slaughter draw up dark imagery through their deafening lows, breakdowns, and occasional pig squeals but the lyrical content defies the genre norm by challenging one to face their greatest fears and overcome them.
Their name is meant to draw up a fear of a rogue serial killer, or a furious storm that is unforgiving. This humble four piece hailing from Grande Prairie, Alberta began in 2012 and has been steadily outgrowing their deathcore genre label by delving into more traditional metal compositions. The band is comprised of Kevin S. on bass, The Zim on drums, and Carbomb as their leading guitarist. Windy City Slaughter is committed to developing their live performance as an engaging and loud act that will lure fans from any metal genre. The band plans to tour eastern Canada June 2015 and has currently released a demo and a full length called ‘Alpha’. Make sure to catch this hurricane of brutal metal as they trek across Canada.
