Calgary’s loudest groove metallers FALSE FLAG are proud to announce their 2015 EP ‘Nest of Vipers’ mastered by Alan Sacha Laskow (Eyes Set To Kill) is available today, August 4th. The album is self-released and their subsequent tour for the EP just wrapped up July 31 with their local CD Release in Calgary. The band also has a giveaway for 3 lucky winners to get a copy of the EP via their Facebook page.

Biography
Calgary’s down-tuned super-group False Flag are a heavy hitting 4 piece that produce loud groovy metal.
Formed in 2012 as a side project for Russ Gauthier (Lordosis, Meggido, and We Found The Body) and Nick Purdy (Meggido). They soon recruited Garrett McElroy (AfterEarth) as a bass player and recorded their first EP (Orobas) at Garrett’s apartment studio.
Prior to performing at Calgary Metalfest, and Vernstock the band recruited Dan Ishak (Meggido, Stinger) on bass as Garrett’s band Afterearth was picking up steam. In January 2014 False Flag started recording the full length album “Suffer In Silence”. Finally guitarist Mike Harach (Meggido, Stinger) was added and solidified the bands thick live sound. John Byskal (We Found The Body) joined the band (replacing Nick Purdy) in February 2015 and their lineup was settled.
False Flag is currently in the studio recording their 3rd release, “Nest Of Vipers” EP. The EP will be released August 4th, 2015 and will start with an Alberta/Saskatchewan tour July 2015.

Calgary groove metal heavyweights FALSE FLAG have partnered with MetalUnderground.com to stream their guitar playthough video for their self-titled single from their EP ‘Nest of Vipers’. The EP officially drops Tuesday, August 4, and was mastered by Alan Sacha Laskow (ex-Divinity and Every Hour Kills) to enhance their groovy, low signature tone. The group has been touring Alberta and Saskatchewan since July 21st with fellow Calgary mates, State of Demur. The band is travelling in support of their EP and has just released this playthrough video featuring Russ Gauthier (guitar and vocals) riffing out their single ‘Nest of Vipers’ on his eight-string Ibanez RG8.

False Flag begin their tour on Tuesday, July 21, in Medicine Hat, Alberta at Liquid Niteclub (638 14th ST) with State of Demur, Leave The Living, Morbidly Depraved,and Out of The Ruins. The rest the dates take the band East to Saskatchewan and then their official CD release in their hometown of Calgary, AB. It’s coming…. ‘Nest of Vipers’, the third release from Calgary’s False Flag, and this time they are taking it on the road. Their signature bottom end sound is mastered by Alan Sasha Laskow at Perfect Fifth (Every Hour Kills, Divinity, Death Toll Rising, and Titan’s Eve) and their new EP is slated to be available Tuesday, August 4, 2015 and can be pre-ordered at the following link HERE. The group is travelling across the border between Alberta and Saskatchewan to hit 6 different cities (dates listed below).
