About:

Harnessing their crazy sense of humor and love of all things metal, vocalist Rob “Rawrb” Kersey and guitarist Josh “The J” Key joined forces with drummer Alex “Shmalex” Dontre and bassist  Matty J “Moose” to create Pyschostick, a band they’ve coined as humorcore. With hilarious lyrics, heavy riffs, notorious stage antics and high-energy performances, the band has caused millions of laughs around the world and hundreds of mosh pits across the US of A, often simultaneously, since its birth in Phoenix, AZ in 2000.

Now residing in Chicago, IL, with four full-length albums behind them – “We Couldn’t Think of a Title” (2006), their holiday album “The Flesh Eating Rollerskate Holiday Joyride” (2007), “Sandwich” (2009),  and “Space Vampires vs. Zombie Dinosaurs in 3D” (2011), the almost 100 percent do-it-yourself laugh factory, Psychostick returns with their signature sound (Chimaira, Machine Head and Hatebreed sexing Tenacious D and Weird Al Yankovic) to showcase their latest offering, the crowd funded album ‘IV: Revenge of The Vengeance’ (fan thank you video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iSeQHqMCfJI) due out on November 4, 2014. Featuring a hilarious track listing that includes previously released singles the beard anthem ‘Obey The Beard’ and popular ‘Dog Like Socks’ plus new tracks such as ‘Quack Kills’, ‘So. Heavy’, ‘Blue Screen’, and a tribute to the 21st century’s most beloved action super hero ‘Bruce Campbell’. Psychostick are crazy to share with fans many more comedy sing-a-longs on the road and more!

“In a genre with a lot of anger, aggression and seriousness, every once in a while some levity is good. That’s wherePsychostick come in. Their fourth albumIV: Revenge Of The Vengeance is musically solid and lyrically amusing.” – Heavy Metal – About.com

“humorcore band Psychostick is like the Jerry Seinfeld of metal. On its fourth full-length release, IV: Revenge of The Vengeance, the band’s sound invokes similarities too oddball artists such as Mr. Bungle, GWAR, Primus, Green Jello, Scatterbrain and Austrian Death Machine, to name a few. On its 21 ridiculous tracks (including various short skits between songs), the band explores its brand of observational comedy mixed with brutal breakdowns. The band exceeds expectations by parodying popular culture, relationships and binge drinking.” – Bravewords

“Psychostick pulls the pin from a hand grenade and shoves it down the gullet of comedy. When it explodes, anyone within earshot finds themselves covered in the entrails of hilarity! These guys are off-the-chart insane. Imagine if the cast of “Jackass” formed a metal band with Andy Samberg, Sam Kinison, and Seth Rogen and then they threw a house party that made “Project X” look like amateur hour by comparison. Yeah, now you’re getting it!” – Axs

“I do like when bands like Pyschostick inject humour into songs and REVENGE OF THE VENGEANCE is pretty damn funny…The first single ‘Obey The Beard’ is magnificent and this is coming from a clean-shaven dude. It made me want to grow one. Comedy Metal fans can listen for a couple of inside Metal jokes (Captain Stupid!) and a cameo by ‘snaky’. The production is immaculate and as always these guys are as heavy as hell. Weird Al on crack. I wanted to use that phrase and I couldn’t even think how to work it into this review so I just dumped it here at the end. Humour is so subjective but I know what I like and I really like IV: REVENGE OF THE VENGEANCE.” – Metal Rules

“IV: Revenge of the Vengeance isn’t just a Psychostick album, it’s a Psychostick experience. They really went all out on this album. Not all of it makes sense and some of it may be a little over the top, but that’s what makes this band so great- they aren’t afraid to push the envelope of ridiculousness. In fact, they bask in it. Get ready, world. Get ready for the revenge of the vengeance and one of the most action-packed metal albums ever concocted. Rating: 9/10” – Front Row Report

“The creator of “Humorcore” knock one out of the fucking park with this one (IV: Revenge of The Vengeance). If you’re in a band trying to do parody and funny Metal songs stop right now, you’re just embarrassing yourself, you will not be able to dethrone Psychostick. ” – Rock Hard Place

“In ‘IV: Revenge of The Vengeance’ you have more craziness and beard than ever before, weighing in at a whopping twenty one beard bending tracks of strictly tongue in cheek craziness and general insanity with song titles ranging from ‘NSFW’, ‘Quack Kills’, ‘Loathe Thy Neighbor’ and the previously unleashed  ‘Dogs Like Socks’ and ‘Obey The Beard’ as well as a cover of Kenny Loggins ‘Danger Zone’. Add a couple of cameos from Bill Manspeaker, the founder of Green Jello and you can imagine the types of craziness that is unleashed once play is pressed. Simply put, ‘IV: Revenge of The Vengeance’ is beardtastic and in the words of Psychostick ‘Obey The Beard’.” – Firebrand After Darkness Mag

“make no mistake about it – these guys rock first and foremost, especially on this album’s standouts, the anthemic “Obey the Beard,” as well as “Dogs Like Socks,” which explores the complexities of canine/hosiery relations.” – Erie Reader

“There are so many little things that make this more than your run-of-the-mill laugh and enjoy album. For example, in the lyric book, for the song “Choking Hazard”, it simply displays the pamphlet image of what to do in the event of someone choking. This unpredictable, jokey style they incorporate spills over into their live show and after four albums, they show no wear and tear in their funny bone and no signs of decelerating those head banging riffs. I could ramble a little more, but you’re better off experiencing this yourself. So go buy it already.” – Media Mikes

“This new album features twenty-one tracks of skits and songs that will make you listen to it until you can catch all the references from pop culture, the metal scene, and moments of “did he just say what I think he said?” With the fast paced musings of being stalked by a water fowl in “Quack Kills” to “NSFW” that will never see airplay on your local radio station, the album covers a wide range of subjects in its lampooning. It is no wonder their fans, that have had three albums to delight them in metal geekiness and humor, have waited anxiously for this new release.” – National Rock Review

“Psychostick is not a metal parody band; they are a great metal band with funny songs. “IV: Revenge of the Vengeance” starts off with a movie style trailer that sets you up for the insanity that will follow. There are songs about Anatidaephobia  (which is the irrational fear that one is being watched by a duck), Bruce Campbell , and even a song the gives accurate information on how to help someone that is choking. The album also has some skits that introduce songs, my favorite being the one that introduces the song “So Heavy” in which the band tries to tune to H flat.” – Extreme Metal TV

“How fuck the Psychostick haven’t played in the UK recently I don’t know, I know so many people who love them here. The album is fierce and hilarious,, it remains a thrashy, compact masterpiece with chunky breakdowns and enriched madness. ” – Music Review Database

“Ha ha. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Ha ha ha!
Okay, give me a moment. I’m still chuckling every time I think of Psychostick’s latest 21 track album Revenge of the Vengeance. Every moment on it is filled with hilarity, from marrying beards, being afraid of ducks and then saving a crowd of people from a dimensional time portal. And I thought I’d heard it all…Tenacious D were the kings of comedy metal, but Rize of the Fenix has made it look like they’ve reached their hay day, as much as I love them. The king’s crown has to go somewhere, and for an album like this, it looks like Psychostick are next in line for the throne.” – Rock Revolt Magazine

If the goal is met, Sofa King Vinyl will press 500 copies of Madrost’s critically-acclaimed album ‘Into The Aquatic Sector’ on 140 gram audiophile quality vinyl. “diehard thrash metallers from any nationality will soon turn their eyes and ears to Canada without a shadow of a doubt…get ready for war with this 101 proof Canadian Thrash Metal band.” – The Headbanging Moose

“MERIDIUS come from Canada and play vicious Thrash, so if you have been a hard-studying metalhead, you already know what this country has been offering in this scene, so brace yourself……because “Speed Kills” starts things with a killer headbanging and mid-paced groove, making you think of the Bay Area scene and the early works by SLAYER and EXODUS. The lyrics go hand-in-hand with the aggressive music that is – of course – based on the guitars, and while listening to the faster breaks, I found myself thinking a little about the German Thrash qualities….Like I have said in the past, EPs are the most effective way to introduce a young band; the tracklist is short but carries the cream of the crop of the band’s songwriting and “Meridius” does exactly that.” – Metal Kaoz

“…whole lot of guitar crunch, along with plenty of reasons to crank up the volume LOUD and bang thy head.” – Metal Odyysey

Meridius, named after Russell Crowe`s character in Gladiator, is a B.C. based thrash and groove metal band. This raw, heavy five piece`s influences range from Lamb of God to Exodus. The band ensures their music embodies intensity both on stage and in studio.

Meridius is a complete thrashing assault on the auditory senses, with a few groovy rhythms thrown in for good measure. Dabbling into a more melodic singing style the band still remains true to their forefathers and continuously composes heavier material. With past members hailing from speed (Howler), progressive (Equestrian Lord), and power metal bands they all find a common ground in Meridius.

The music carries an unmistakable weight from the aggression and pure mayhem embodied in all facets of the musical composition. Eric Willmont construct intense imagery through lyrics covering dark topics (death, torture, war, and violence) all the while fitting in appropriate dash of macabre humour. Through a collaborative writing process the band constructs song after song with the focus returning to performing live and maintaining that level of energy. Meridius is preparing to record a full length album and tour across Canada . Heavy, groovy, thrash metal coming to a city near you!

“Vancouver thrash/doom metal act unleashes a monster with its third album. Tightly woven tunes are delivered with blistering power, channeling the best of their influences, which range from early era thrash (Metallica, Exodus, Judas Priest) to modern day grind and prog metal (Mastodon). If 2012’s Life Apocalypse was about confronting your demons, Chasing The Devil is about grabbing the beast by the horns. Highlight tracks: No Kingdom, The Grind” – Vancouver Sun

“Titans Eve are one of the best bands to come out of my home town, Vancouver!” – Michael Livan – The Metal Meltdown – CJSF 90.1 FM

“Catch this phenomenon live” – Beatroute BC

“On its third full-length release, Chasing The Devil, the band, consisting of brothers Brian (guitar/vocals) and Kyle Gamblin (guitar), Jesse Hord (bass) and Casey Ory (drums), continues its unique brand of modern metal. Combining ’80s thrash-isms, modern metal passages, touches of NWOBHM and generous amounts of Thin Lizzy/Iron Maiden-inspired harmonized guitar leads, Titans Eve cull these elements together with a vibrant approach. Chasing The Devil’s eight tracks are compact and concise, decorated with huge, chantable choruses.” – Bravewords

“Titans Eve has just unleashed the splendid ‘Chasing The Devil’ on us. It’s their third album and undoubtedly their best. It blends thrash with hammerdown metal that has no compromises. As far as new bands go, Titans Eve is up there with the best of them.” – Powerplay Magazine

“Vancouver’s Titan’s Eve continues to be arguably the best unsigned band in Canada, and they seem content with the idea, having just put out their third self-released album. And it’s a rager, too, much akin to the robust, groovy thrash of Evile. Unlike Evile, however, Titan’s Eve hasn’t strayed too far into mainstream-pandering territory, instead keeping both feet planted in “true” metal: aggressive, gritty, bombastic, letting melodies carry the songs without sacrificing any intensity or integrity. The band continues to grow with each release too, and the songwriting is steadily broadening, the melodies are more compelling, the lead vocals are stronger (“War Path” is a great example), and the dynamics are often brilliantly executed. There’s a reason a band like Arch Enemy hand picked Titan’s Eve to open for them in Europe a couple years back. This band is a force, and the fact that they doggedly continue to take the independent route, in full control of their art, is admirable.”  – Pop Matters

“Canadian metallers Titans Eve are back with another succulent slice to add to their ever growing discography of immersive and gig worthy sounds!…Overall the album has been a fine display of how a band can carve themselves a sound, that is not shy of influence. It is one that mixes well with the band’s modern metal tendencies. Chasing The Devil’s eight tracks are compact and concise, decorated with huge, chantable choruses.” – Metal-Rules

“Titans Eve have conquered their local scene convincingly, and have put their boots into thicker mud, venturing across their native Canada. Touring with bigger names, in support fashion, hungry to belong in the next level. Chasing The Devil will be a sharp weapon to help them carve up the competition. Shepherd Says- 8/10 – Hey, I put them side by side with the giant and it felt like they weathered that barrage. Titans Eve is earning their way up the ladder.” – We Love Metal

“And with Chasing the Devil, Titans Eve once again mark themselves down as one of the best acts in metal’s new breed, even though they’ve markedly changed sound and direction for this third release.” – Metal As Fuck

“Taking inspiration from the likes of Annihilator and Metallica, they deliver a performance with a heavy and welcome instrumental focus. Sections of face melting shredding, medium paced flowing grooves, and slower, intricate build ups are the meat and potatoes of the sound. They are combined and structured in a way that demonstrates a clear sense of direction and purpose that left me in anticipation to hear what would come next while rocking out to what was currently playing.” – Metal Blast

“…they’ve certainly stepped it up on their forthcoming album. The band’s concept is good, as they blend equal portions of thrash from bands such as Annihilator and Exodus with the progressive stoner groove of Mastodon and Meshuggah…Each element of the band works in unison as classic melodies and solos are placed side-by-side with meaty chugging and gravely outer-space vocals.” – Flink.TO

“Crunchy thrash riffs, brilliant dual guitars and anthemic choruses -“Chasing the Devil” is a straightforward album with quality writing that could be appealing to a quite diverse crowd. With its fresh approach to thrash it also scores big entertainment points and might make a few reluctant fans party their way into modern melodic thrash.” – Metal Titans

” I love thrash metal and these guys play with all the requisite speed and energy. The music on this album is consistently strong and impressive. Tracks like “We Defy” and “Warpath” are convincing contemporary metal anthems. I was also fond of the title track, “Chasing the Devil” and “The Grind,” a track that, fortunately, had nothing to do with grindcore. Instead, it’s a song about that other grind, the one that most of us call our daily lives. I recommend this album to listeners who want to hear a successful blend of melody, thrash, and doom.” – Sea of Tranquility

“They blend classic heavy, power, and thrash metal with a dose of modern intensity, yet temper it with melody harmony for persuasive, interesting, and entertaining results. Recommended.” – Danger Dog Music Reviews

“Chasing The Devil presents us a modern thrash template that can be as melodic as it is ferocious.” – Dead Rhetoric

“What Titans Eve have done (inadvertently or not, it doesn’t matter) have created an album full a songs to march into battle to. An album made up of anthems. Great riffs, solos, catchy choruses and a singer that sounds like an angry Andrew WK… Eight tracks of Canada’s top modern thrash. A great album.” – Midlands Metal Heads

“Following on from their stunning 2012 sophomore release ‘Life Apocalypse’, time has been favourable to this band. Not only have they have some notable tours and future ones planned, but the level of song writing maturity is shown here on this release. They have retained their thrash edge, but they’ve also incorporated some clever transitions and melodies into most, if not all of the tracks that both vocally and musically go hand on hand. The clever part of this is also mixing classic thrash with more modern and classic metal, the harmonies matched with the outright barrage of guitar riffs that come out show musicianship without a need to prove that they can do it, it’s natural…As a third album, I can only commend the band for developing, it’s a really cool album and defying trends by mixing a couple of classic metal and thrash styles. Performing as a cohesive unit and delivering an album like this, surely there’s bigger things on the horizon for this band.” – Brutalism

“I’ve known the dudes in Titan’s Eve for the better part of a couple years now and one thing never changes. They always write catchy songs that keep you wanting more and they stay to their roots, hammering out head banging, powerful modern metal. The newest release in the Titan’s Eve catalog releases June 12 and it’s entitled “Chasing The Devil.” Well, if that very devil is what pure metal is, they’ve already caught it.” – Broken Neck Radio

“This is the third full length album of the band and I wonder why they have not been signed by any label. Coming from Vancouver, Canada, these guys forged a very interesting and unique form ofthrash metal with modern elements here and there, and high doses of technique at instrumentation.” – Zombie Ritual Zine

“Chasing The Devil’s 8 tracks stick to a ferocious mid paced thrash sound, with a touch of modern metal. The dual guitar team displays not just tasty riffs but intertwining dual harmonies, which sometimes call the mighty Iron Maiden to mind, as well as settling into a deep comfortable groove when called for. Add in the down low and percussion and you’ve got one hell of a sound.” – True Metal Lives

“This is my third time reviewing a Titans Eve release and once again I’m not disappointed.” – Metal France

“Titan’s Eve’s Chasing The Devil is a testament to what great Metal is suppossed to sound like. From the start this album is just baddass, the first track We Defy is technical and driving. It’s as if Iron Maiden, Slayer and Death had a crazy offspring and called it Titan’s Eve. Chasing The Devil is a welcomed breath of Metal in an otherwise deluded field of so so bands. To be objective or not, I listened to this album trying to see if ther was a crack in the armor that is Titan’s Eve and Chasing The Devil, but happily there was none. If you long for Metal from what seems to be a forgotten idea that drives all of us to be proud at being Metalheads, then you have to pick this album up.” – Keeper Magazine

“Their signature sound continues to develop, taking hard-hitting guitar riffs and a punchy rhythm section, and combining that with soaring harmony leads — and pairing all of that with perhaps the most laid-back gang-shouted vocals you’ll ever hear. If you haven’t heard Titans Eve, it’s tough to describe, but imagine a group consisting of multiple Dicky Barretts — always gruff and angry-sounding, but never actually seeming to raise his voice above a normal speaking level, and therefore coming across as that much more self-possessed and cooler as a result.” – Valley of Steel

“TITAN’S EVE do a solid job mixing everything that’s fun about Heavy Metal into one, succinct package with “Chasing The Devil”. They stay active and energetic the whole way through, and their solid writing chops keep it from feeling like just another Metal hodgepodge album. Recommended for fans of Metal in general, as well as similar genre-blend bands like BATTLECROSS.” – Metal Temple

“superb song writing that melodic thrashers should completely adore.” – Ave Noctum

“Unstoppable Titans Eve” – Georgia Straight (Vancouver)

“Blistering set of doom thrash” – Beatroute

“Titans Eve has quickly risen through the ranks of the Vancouver metal scene, quickly becoming one of the best thrash bands in town.” – Absolute Underground  Magazine

“The Gamblin brothers shred like crazy, easily making Titans Eve one of the best local (Vancouver) thrash bands. They really blew everyone away, and sent beer flying all over the place.” – Absolute Underground Magazine (Live Review)

“Titans Eve churned out their own unique brand of thrash metal. Brothers Kyle and Brian Gamblin did a great job stirring up the crowd,… With a short but sweet set with crowd favourites including “The Tides of Doom”, “Serpent Rising”, “Into the Fire” and “Living Lifeless,” Titans Eve left it all on stage and made a strong impression.” – Abort Mag (Live Review)

“Gotta love bands like this that come from left field and surprise one with their sound, attitude and imagery. Titans Eve hails from Vancouver, hardly a global metal hotspot, and performs traditional and true heavy metal without any of the superfluous gimmickry that has become a hallmark of metal betrayal and ineptitude. The quartet’s sound is heavy and anthemic and blatantly related to the true sounds of Priest, Maiden and Arch Enemy” – Metallian.com

“Titans Eve had everything that was needed to make for a killer show; solid memorable music that can move even the folks who are unfamiliar with the songs, backed by a tight, powerful performance. ” – Metalstorm.net (Live Review)

“TITANS EVE have embraced the old fashioned Thrash ethic of keeping an eye on quality and not going overboard with content. ” – Metal-Observer.com

“Third to the stage was Titans Eve (www.myspace.com/titanseveofficial ), a modern thrash metal band with some epic European metal sounding influences. Their new album, The Divine Equal, is due on February 1st, with possible North American and beyond tour dates to follow. This band already have a rabid fan base, with one devotee informing me “These guys are gong to play Ozzfest one day man – they’re gonna f— headline Ozzfest!” Judging by their proficient heavy talent, you would never guess that this band has only been performing together for around three years.” – Vancmusic.ca – Concert Review

“Thrashy, crunchy goodness that’s perfect to bang your head to.” – Funeralrain.net

“The next act of the night, was again, Vancouver’s own, Titan’s Eve. They had their fans standing strong against the barrier, thrashing amongst one another, and screaming the words back to the guys…Their performance was extremely strong, and energetic. The last song, Brian got the crowd cheering him on to chug a beer, and its my pleasure to say, he successfully chugged a full beer, and finished their set with a song packed with heavy riffs, strong drum beats, and vocals to captivate the audience.” – RockstarWeekly.com (Live Review) from opening w/ Exodus

Vancouver, BC’s modern anthemic thrash outfit Titans Eve was formed in 2008 by brothers Brian (vocals/guitar) and Kyle Gamblin (guitar) with drummer Casey Ory and Jesse Hord on bass. From day one, the band has written the tunes they want to hear and taken charge of their musical ambitions on their own terms. The early days saw the four piece defining their sound and creating fans in their home city.

2009/2010 featured their emergence on the Canadian metal scene and the beginning of a strong fan base. They embarked on their first Western Canadian tour and gave Canadians a real live taste of their sound. While gaining support and honing their music they ventured into a local studio with the talented Curt Wells to record their first album ‘The Divine Equal’ that was mixed and mastered by Sacha Laskow of Calgary tech-metal band Divinity.

With their debut’s upcoming release, Titans Eve hit the road for their first cross Canadian tour, exposing their unique brand of thrash metal to even more fans. Upon their return, the band worked on the 2011 release of ‘The Divine Equal’, which was supported by a two month self booked tour of North America, giving them a taste of crazed metal fans all over the United States.

Following the North American tour, Titans Eve’s 2012 started with a bang with their first arena show and fulfilling a dream of playing with nu-metal icons Korn. Fresh off the success from their debut, Titans Eve began creating their follow up, ‘Life Apocalypse’.

“This album was written faster and was more of an aggressive attempt at writing and recording an album,” says guitarist Kyle Gamblin. “We hammered out the songs and bunkered down to record in Calgary with Sacha Laskow for a month and recorded every day.”

Taking a turn from their debut, which was released a year previously, but staying true to their personal interpretations of honest, powerful modern metal, “the result, Life Apocalypse, shows our efforts and captures the best performances from all four members of our band. We worked very hard to deliver something that wouldn’t disappoint fans of our last album,” says Brian Gamblin.

Following the release of ‘Life Apocalypse’ that summer, Titans Eve took the “Titan Train” (i.e. their 2007 Ford E-350 van) and travelled across Western Canada, bringing their music to as great an audience as possible, supporting Canadian metal heavyweights Anvil followed by a tour with super-group Kill Devil Hill featuring bassist Rex Brown of Pantera and drummer Vinny Appice of Black Sabbath and Dio fame. After these incredible tours, their biggest venture yet came into focus with an invite to be a support act on the 2012 Arch Enemy European Khaos tour. This saw their first tour in Europe, playing to the receptive and enthusiastic European metal crowds.

After their first European tour, 2013/14 saw the band still in promotion mode for ‘Life Apocalypse and venturing across Western Canada, playing music festivals and opening for the likes of Diamond Head, Raven and Soulfly plus in between writing and recording their third album ‘Chasing The Devil’ at Vancouver’s legendary Warehouse studio with renowned producer /engineer Eric Mosher along with it being mastered by Canadian metal hero Jeff Waters of Annihilator. 2015 is here and Titans Eve is proud to unleash their third full length on June 12, 2015 to their fans and the metal world once again along with them hitting the road once again to support the release.

Album Reviews from ‘Life Apocalypse’

“The Canadians’ sophomore retains the thrash shapes of their debut but also allows more room for melody and lyricism to flow, adding an emotive strength to the introspective tales of the human condition, destiny and personal struggle…if the Mayans were right and 2012 is the year we face the apocalypse, Titans Eve are more than an adequate soundtrack.” 4/5 – Terrorizer Mag

“One metal act that should be hitting your radar if it hasn’t already is Canadian thrashers TITANS EVE…The sophomore album from TITANS EVE, “Life Apocalypse” is a tempest. It seldom slows and it’s to the band’s credit they know how far to push and make a statement then summon back their typhoon to leave their listeners breathless…”Overcast”, “Destined to Die”, “Road to Ruin”, “Divided We Fall” and”The Abyss” are some of the fastest and fiercest metal tracks you’ll hear this year.” Blabbermouth.net

“Titans Eve is up there with the best Canada has to offer.” – Metallian.com

“Best of all, the hooks on this record are enormous, with none of the eleven tracks feeling like a throwaway. The tunes are so insistent and contagious that it feels like they fly by: you’ve got the Mastodonian stomp of “Destined to Die”, the Maiden-esque guitar melody that sneaks into the thunderous “Road to Ruin”, the melodic thrash of “The Abyss”, the crushing mid-tempo groove that dominates the chorus of “Life Apocalypse.” – MSN.com

“Vancouver’s TITANS EVE have really hit a sweet spot with their second album. ” – Bravewords.com

“Vancouver-based thrashers Titans Eve strike the perfect balance between tuneful, old-school, ’80s–style metal and the more extreme variants that came to dominate in the ’90s on its latest, Life Apocalypse. ” – The Georgia Straight (Vancouver, BC Weekly)

“Titans Eve have kicked their technical proficiency into high gear, delivering an exceptional album of brilliant, horrifyingly astute and elegantly written material; the lyrics are grim poetry set to cruel, brutal and mathematically precise orchestration…The songs “The Abyss”, the title track “Life Apocalypse”, “Hollow Gods” and “The Void” are outstanding on this disc, speaking brutal truth and cruel fact in untenably honest fashion, their individual tales riding well with the overall theme of this collection.” – Confront Magazine

“Titan’s Eve are being outed as one of the rising stars of the Canadian metal scene, and after a few listens to Life Apocalypse, their second album, it’s easy to see why. In fact it’s easy to see this youthful quartet busting the whole darn planet apart within the next five years if they can maintain – or, better yet, improve upon – the quality of material found on Life…Make no mistake this is big time metal, delivered with class and conviction that’ll draw you in after just one listen and keep you in its thrall forever.” – MetalAsFuck.net

“In an age where a plethora of thrash bands are focussing all their energies on trying to recapture the sounds of the 80’s, it’s great to hear a forward thinking, ambitious thrash metal outfit. Canadian Titans Eve have all the essential thrash ingredients in their sound, but they’re trying to forge something original in those flames. Their songs are laced with robust melody, captivating guitar-intricacies, and truly memorable and striking passages, while the powerful vocals of Brian Gamblin provide an imposing focal point. Titans Eve are a genuinely exciting proposition, and Life Apocalypse is quite a superb album deserving of much recognition. 4.5/5”  – Zero Tolerance Magazine

“After a brief acoustic intro, Life Apocalypse really gets fired up and under way with “Destined to Die”, a real thrashing, head banging song that sets the pace for the rest of the disc. The combination of old school metal influences with more current metal sensibilities is just aurally stunning. These guys have created an album that kicks some serious ass from start to finish; I was fully engrossed in it from the beginning.” – PureGrainAudio.com

“Now and again, an album comes along that, immediately, on first listen, jumps out of your stereo (or, in this case, a towering 2,000 watt DJ rig), grabs you by your scrawny, hungover little throat and screams at you “bet you weren’t expecting this, muthafucka?”. This sophomore release from Vancouver thrashers Titan’s Eve is one of those.” – PlanetMosh.com

“This is another damn fine thrash metal album that not only brings about memories of times passed but also brings about a need to mosh like there’s no tomorrow.” – Battlehelm.com

“Vancouver, B.C. thrash-edged metal merchants,Titans Eve, wasted no time getting back into the studio to record the follow-up to their 2011 debut,The Divine Equal. The result is a breath of fresh napalm called, Life Apocalypse. The new album contains all the skull-crushing brutality fans have come to expect from Titans Eve, delivered with intellectual impact, and sonic diversity.” – Metalholic.co

“What Titans Eve has managed to do with an album based on hardship is inject an air of triumph into their catchy delivery. The uplifting nature that saturates the album brings hope that no matter what we face in our lives, all our life apocalypses, the strength to rise above them is within us all.” – Hellbound.ca

“What I like(d) the most in Life Apocalypse has to be their vocals and the sheer energy of the songs which abuses the ear drums with a fine thrash assault, competent and is well executed. Vocalist Brian Gamblin works his way through the songs with abandon and more often than not succeeds in providing the finishing touch on songs that are worthy of replay. Those looking for an aggression filled beat down can purchase this album without second thought.” – MetalTitans.com

“One of a relative few genuine thrash albums you’ll hear this year…up-tempo rippers like “Destined To Die,” lumbering, crowd-chanting bulldozers like “Frozen In Time,” and so much more.”  – MetalUnderground.com

“Titans Eve are being outed as one of the rising stars of the Canadian Metal scene and after a few listens to ‘Life Apocalypse’, their second album, it’s easy to see why. In fact it’s easy to see this youthful quartet busting the whole darn planet apart within the next five years if they can maintain – or, better yet, improve upon – the quality of material found on ‘Life Apocalypse'”. – MetalTalk.net

“The album is very fast, aggressive and precise, delivering an aural wall of death front to back. Riffs are very catchy and some very fluid guitar work is featured throughout. Vocals are mix of gravelly thrash and clean styled. This band is definitely a sleeper and with major label backing, can make a huge breakout in the thrash world. Definitely check this album out.” – MaximumMetal.com

“Casey Ory has thrash style drums nailed down perfectly and slays on the double bass drum. He is the epitome of a backbone for a band and also really good at making interesting fills and tempo changes. The guitar work is also as notable as ever, in all three categories. There’s plenty of great solo’s to be found all throughout the album, my favorites lying in ‘Road to Ruin’ ‘Life Apocalypse’ and ‘Hollow Gods’. ” – Emurg.com

“As I’ve listened to Life Apocalypse, I’ve come to realize that Titans Eve isn’t trying to sound like the other guys. Titans Eve hasn’t run off with old school fever. Titans Eve hasn’t caved into an over-swollen modern persona of sound either. Instead, Titans Eve truly plays their ownscorching brand of Thrash Metal. Yes, the overall feel, vibe and sound that Titans Eve has tapped into has given me every reason to believe they will be around in another decade… or two.” – MetalOdyssey.net

“Overall, there are many killer riffs here and I cannot believe that this is an independent release as the production is of the highest quality. I also like the length of the album. 11 songs that clock in on 38 minutes is just enough and insures you that you will not be bored with this album.” – Melodic.net

“Titan’s Eve’s Life Apocalypse is solid, intriguing and entertaining platter of modern and melodic, heavy and thrash metal, and superior to most of their peers.” – DangerDog.com

“after a few spins of the new “Life Apocalypse” I can say that the band has followed up their earlier success with an impressive piece of metal… is both heavy and atmospheric, blending blast beats, melodies, and harsh vocals to create an all-out metal attack.” – WeLoveMetal.com

“Vancouver, Canada’s Titan’s Eve are a nice breath of fresh air in a style of music that seems to be half-populated with Exodus clones. Melody, precision and the very occasional semi-clean sung vocal passage give this album a very nice edge.” – Shreddernet.com

“What you will find on this release is 11 tracks of finely-tuned thrash metal with a huge emphasis on melody and driving song structures. Take for instance the title track, “Life Apocalypse” – it’s catchy as hell, and laden with some sick grooves and peppered with gang vocals to boot. They follow this through with another catchy song “Hollow Gods” that solidifies itself through the chorus and utilizes harmonious leads to help push home the sound. The same can be said about “Divided We Fall” and “Frozen in Time” (longest track on album) encapsulates the melodic feel you will find throughout the entire release. ” – Blistering.com

“‘Destined to Die’ is the first single from this album, it’s all about personal apocalypse and personal struggle, a general theme of the entire release, the track itself generalises the Titans Eve sound perfectly.” – Brutalism.com

“TITANS EVE have done a great job in “Life Apocalypse” bringing a more personal character in their music.” – MetalKaoz.com

“The intensity of all instruments comes together very nicely on ‘Life Apocalypse’ – especially on track four ‘The Abyss,’ which is one of the main treats off the album. In addition to being an overall nice and solid track, ‘The Abyss’ offers one of the album’s longest and tightest guitar solos, which stretches over 40-50 seconds.” – Toronto Metal Music Examiner

“Just to pick a couple of highlights, there’s the headlong slam dance ofLife Apocalypse with its blast beat drumming and distinctive signature riffing. Then there’s the high speed thrash out of Destined To Die – a cut that reminds me of Onslaughts classic ‘Power From Hell’ debut album; a gloriously chilled and melancholy out instrumental entitled A Wound That Never Heals – complete with a rather groovy bongo drum line!! and the divinely majestic Frozen In Time – an true mini epic if ever there was that goes from slow and acoustic to Priest-U-like twin guitar harmonies to heavy as fuck grind and pound and back again. All damn good stuff.” 4.5/5 – The BCFM Sunday Rock Show 93.2fm (Bristol UK)

” blended up into one tasty little metal smoothie…this album is firmly rooted in modern thrash with a hefty dose of groove…should definitely be checked out by any metal fan as there’s something for everyone here. It’s been a very competitive year, but this one just might sneak its way onto my year end list. Hopefully these guys don’t remain unsigned for long.” – TeethofTheDivine.com

Album Reviews from ‘The Divine Equal’

Metal Hammer (Germany) – Album of The Month – September 2011

“Returning with their incredible, gap-spanning take on moderately melodic and primeval metal, Vancouver, BC ragers Titans Eve deliver some creative, impressively cohesive work on latest full-length The Divine Equal” – Exclaim!

” ‘The Divine Equal’ presents an opportunity for the band to save underground thrash metal from its current ‘nu-thrash’ moniker and that in itself is something exciting….The energy from “Judgement” carries on throughout the rest of the record and helps to maintain a level of head banging that will surely cause permanent neck damage…an impressive debut. 4/5″ – MetalUnderground.com

“Titans Eve have built a considerable foundation to springboard from on THE DIVINE EQUAL and I would optimistically look forward to what the future holds for the four of them. ”
– Metal-Rules.com

“Every track is a full blown “Arena Anthem.” You can sing along at any point with very distinct choruses that leave the listener anticipating their next chance to belt along with vocalist Brian Gamblin.” – WeLoveMetal.com

” ‘The Divine Equal’ is a full on aural assault from beginning to end.” – PureGrainAudio.com

“I’d like to point out Titans Eve is a band I like because of their anthem filled nature. The songs on show are very easy to sing along to, and that could be just what is needed in metal today. Stand out tracks: Judgement, Nightfall and Becoming The Demon.” – Ultimate-Guitar.com

“Are you ready for the most fun you’ve had listening to an album? No? Too damn bad, because Puttin’ On The Foil are set to unload all over you with Fired Up, Ready To Roll. This album has literally a little bit of everything but the kitchen sink and rap music on it and it’s a country, rock, punk, metal party if there ever was one- even if there was one, it wouldn’t matter- this is the party.” – The Front Row Report

“Shirtless dude in overalls? Check. Long-haired fella in a Canadian Tuxedo? Check.  Bottles and blunts? Ok we are ready. Puttin’ on the Foil are Calgary’s premier hillbilly punk act…” – Calgary Is Awesome

“Puttin’ on the Foil’s signature mix of good time country vibes and punk rock intensity make their shows feel more like a Stampede after-party.” – Calgary Journal

“If you are looking for a great philosophical punk album to bring a smile to your face on a bleak day then look no further than ‘Fire Up, Ready to Roll’, from Calgary’s Hillbilly punks, ‘Puttin’ On The Foil’.” – Punk Globe

“Now here is one Fuck of an album especially when it comes to the lyrics in the song. The album is a cross between country, Metal and Rock. The lyrics, how in the hell do I even start explaining the lyrics in this album. For me the lyrics are some of the funniest ones that I have heard in a real long time and that actually work within the song. If you are a fan of the Trailer Park Boys or just Construction humour and Country living humour then you have to check this album out.” Kingston Music Reviews

“Despite being a comical band, Puttin’ On The Foil have been able to create an album which demonstrates their potential. All three members are actually rather talented musicians, like Steel Panther, who just enjoy creating hillbilly rock. If you do not take yourself too seriously then you could easily enjoy this harmless rock album.” – Ghost Cult Mag

“What can I say about this album? I say, grab a beer, turn it up loud, get out your air guitar, and bounce around the house like a lunatic!” – Midlands Metal Heads

Calgary is home to three of the most important Hillbilly’s you will ever need to know — Puttin’ On The Foil. They plan to make you a part of their singin-a-long, drinkin’, good time trainwreck with their electrifying, kickass punk’n roll music.

Since 2011 these small town renegades have been touring the hell out of any weekend that comes their way. In 2014 the band played over 130 shows across Canada. The band’s name is an homage to the film ‘Slapshot’ where the Hanson Brother put foil on their fists to do more damage during fights in the hockey themed movie. Puttin’ On The Foil plans to do the same with their upcoming sophomore release, ‘Fired Up, Ready To Roll’, slated to be released on May 12, 2015.

The band is a three piece consisting of Trayne Rekk on Bass/Vocals/Stupidity, TimTim plucking Guitar/Vocals and Jordan Stubbs on Drums. Rarely sober the band’s infectious music invites even the most conservative wall flower to act stupid. One would expect the band to have influences like KISS, SLAYER, and Iron Maiden, but Trayne blames Hank Willams Jr. for much of his blue collar topics.

Puttin’On The Foil’s signature sound starts with Hank Williams, toss in some Ramones, thickened with Motorhead, and a dash of Nashville Pussy gives it that good time feel. Fans can be sure to understand the bands incredibly love of a good time from their music and live shows. Be sure to catch this three man circus on tour in 2015.
