Feed After Midnite hails from Ottawa, Canada, and thanks to recent, pandemic-granted free time, released a single “Out of Time”.

This is the first single from the fairly new, laid back band who are out to show rock fans around the world that they are “just some dudes having fun and playing tunes”. Embodying that mantra, Feed After Midnite maintains a high level of professionalism, which comes through in their musicianship.

Feed After Midnite shares their hopes for the energetic, upbeat single:

“We are aiming to provide our fans with a mix of a modern hard-hitting sound and also the refreshing nostalgic sound of old school rock and metal. A driving, anthemic hard rock tune with lyrics that paint a picture of a post-apocalyptic world in need of someone to fight for what is right. Are you ready to fight?”

“Out of Time” can be heard on YouTube and Spotify.

Feed After Midnite formed in 2018 and take a large amount of inspiration from horror movies, current events, and childhood memories. When they started they had a predominantly hard rock sound which evolved into heavier stylings but at the same time, remaining catchy and simple.

Those who enjoy many facets of hard rock and metal will appreciate Feed After Midnite, especially those who like Deftones, Avenged Sevenfold, Volbeat, and Faith No More. The band expects to be releasing more music in 2021.

Like many musicians and bands, members of Montreal’s heavy stoner rockers Paradise are citizens of the globe. They have been observing life with the Covid 19 pandemic along with social and political unrest in various parts of the world. In an artistic commentary, the band has taken their track “Who Do You Wanna Be” off their latest self-titled album and created a new music video questioning our identity during global uncertainty.

The band comments:

” We’ve always been about partying and rock and roll, but there comes a time when you have to ask yourself: WTF am I doing, and how did we get here. This video suggests that it is time to take a good long look in the mirror.”

Back in the summer of 2002, co-founders and fellow guitar players, Frank Kelly and Jet Phil recruited good friends Mike Plant (Sword) and drum god Michel “Away” Langevin (Voivod) to release Paradises 1st album “Rock Anthropologists on the Kon Tiki Voyage”. Summer of 2004, the usual suspects were rounded-up including a collaboration of Voivod’s late but great Denis “Piggy” D’Amour to work on Paradise’s follow-up record “Hotel”. Now in 2020, composed of Frank Kelly (guitars), Fred Kelly (bass), RL Black (vocals), Fred Crew Grrr (guitars) and Mat Hias (drums), Paradise, like a phoenix that is reborn from its ashes, have released a new eponymous album that sways on the line between hard stoner rock and pure heavy metal that was mixed and mastered by Kevin Jardine of  Slaves On Dope. From the opening piece and future classic “Straight From Hell” to the album closer “Free in Exile”, Paradise delivers an album where the balance between catchy riffs, attitude, intensity, and melodies is perfect.

Like many musicians and bands around the world, members of Montreal’s heavy stoner rockers Paradise have been separated from one another as a precaution to the Covid 19 pandemic. Not able to see each other to have regular jams along with postponements of performances, the band has adapted to the state of the world and continues to promote their heavy and winding arrangements of corrosive rock with the creation of a new quarantine video series entitled “From The Van”.

For the series, the band has recorded two songs from their latest self-titled album released this past March. Today, the band shares their second video for the track “One of A Kind”.

“All we want to do is play, but we find ourselves just like everyone else, distancing and in confinement, but we did find a loophole and a coincidence that we all own our own vans. So we decided to each record ourselves performing our tunes with multi-camera angles. This is Covid 19 style! We couldn’t do it on stage, couldn’t do it for our fans, so we did it in our vans! Enjoy the quarantine van version of our track ‘One of A Kind’” says vocalist R.L. Black.

In 2005, Paradise started a long hiatus, after the release of the album “Hotel”, now they have broken their silence with a new record and new videos to prove to fans they can still rock out after all these years. The self-titled album was released on March 13, 2020 to excellent global reviews.

Today, the band has a new video for the single ‘Hitting On All Sixes’, a track that comes with energetic lyrics overtop of an old school car race, guaranteed to get your heart racing and headbanging.

Since reforming, Paradise have played many impactful live shows including a tour in Cuba in 2019, where they ended up giving away all of their merchandise for free along with an Orange amp to one of the opening bands.

Back in the summer of 2002, co-founders and fellow guitar players, Frank Kelly and Jet Phil recruited good friends Mike Plant (Sword) and drum god Michel “Away” Langevin (Voivod) to release Paradises 1st album: “Rock Anthropologists on the Kon Tiki Voyage”. Rocking out of the barracks, SPECIAL OPS are returning to the frontline after a small hiatus and battle by one of their original founder’s fight against cancer along with a line up change that sees guitarist Weka BW joining the platoon. The band will be embarking on their first cross Canada tour in 10 years in support of their two new EPs “Baby Take It All” and “Tangents” both released six months apart from each other. The tour will be kicking off in their hometown of Montreal on September 23rd and wrap up in Ottawa on November 5th (dates listed below).

Capturing three jaw dropping tracks that display a fusion of its members’ diverse cultures, “Baby Take It All” is SPECIAL OPS‘ eighth self-produced release with mixing done by Darius Szezepaniak (Sum 41, Big Sugar, Sacrifice) and mastering by Kevin Jardine (Slaves On Dope).

From Akbar Johnson’s fierce melodic vocals backed by a well-armed rhythm section of Weka BW’s intricate native Middle Eastern influence of guitar finger picking and strumming to Waldo Thornhill’s thumping bass and drummer Pat Kadaver’s (ex-The Brains) pounding fury, SPECIAL OPS in less than 6 months have unleashed two direct hits with their latest EPs “Take It All” and “Tangents”.       Ottawa, ON’s TRIGON will be releasing their 11 track debut album ‘Fed Up’ produced by the band with Anders Drerup and due out on March 24th. The band is inspired by artists as diverse as Volbeat, Crobot, David Wilcox, System of A Down, Nirvana, Megadeth, Black Sabbath and Slayer, yet already they have forged their own unique sound.

Their first single ‘Talk To Me’ was released this past February and now the band has another for fans, especially those who are fans of horror and the ‘A Nightmare On Elm Street’ movies.

Teaming up with New Noise Magazine, TRIGON are premiering their frightening single ‘Nightmare’ in tribute to the haunting talents of Freddy Kreuger.

“One night while we were having practice, Gus the guitarist came up with this crazy riff that actually sounded like a nightmare. If you were alive in the 80s, there was this one crazy movie that was terrifying everyone… that’s right Nightmare on Elm Street. So Trigon dedicated this song to the legend Freddy Krueger and his debauchery on Elm Street. It’s not every day a band creates a whole new genre: So all hail the splendidly-named Shotgunner with their ‘post apocalyptic western party metal’.

Indeed, if you can imagine the soundtrack to an inebriated Mad Max and Snake Plissken living the vida loca in Las Vegas, you’re still only halfway to imagining the party metal mania that Shotgunner invoke.

Shotgunner aren’t letting the grass grow under their feet, as they follow up their debut ‘Locked and Loaded’ album with a Christmas EP entitled ‘Feliz Navidad’, which guitarist / vocalist Diego hopes their fans will “take as an opportunity to play for their families and further alienate themselves from their loved ones”.

Yehaw! That’s what Christmas is all about!

Diego reveals Shotgunner has a bottomless pit of party inspired metal. “We have an ever-growing list of hundreds of funny ideas, song titles, specific lines and themes. From that list we create songs that match the idea. Luke and Brandon will then flesh out the lyrics for the song. We’ll then enter the studio, consume many beers, and hit record. For the songs to have that genuine party sound, we figure we have to be partying while create them. If it makes us laugh then we know we’re on the right track! For instance, ‘Let’s Party Merry Gentlemen’ is a take on one of the most metal-sounding Christmas songs ever. With a simple, groovy rhythm section, the riffs and vocals are able to stand out. This will definitely be a live staple for the foreseeable future!”
You have to admire a band that practices what it preaches! Diego sums up the ethos of Shotgunner thusly. “We strive to be as entertaining as possible. Ridiculous song titles, funny interludes, burped gang vocals, creative uses of our instruments, anything we can do to make our music stand out from the bunch!”
