For wildly energetic Burlington, ON based KILL NO ALBATROSS, intertwining the accessibility of rock, the technicality of prog, and the energy of hardcore is the name of the game. Through intelligent songwriting, creative guitar work, and emotional intensity, they meld dynamic, bold, bewitching sounds to create no holds barred rock.

Set to release their new EP “Speak True Evil” on July 13th, the band will be hitting the road across Ontario and Quebec for the month of July, which includes kicking off their dates with a performance at Vans Warped Tour in Toronto on July 17th.

The band comments:

“We’re incredibly stoked to be taking our trio of 1975 AMC Gremlins on the road in a few weeks. Keep up with our exploits via our Facebook and Instagram pages. If you’re having trouble finding any of the venues we’re at, just follow the scent of burnt rubber, Dorito dust, and armpit sweat.”

The band comments about the album:

“Speak True Evil is a showcase for Kill No Albatross’ dynamic, technically proficient, intellectual approach to rock music. These four songs cover musical ground that ranges from furious to sweet, hopeful to agonized. The powerful vocals of Kyle Collins pair with the tight, impassioned instrumentation to create a unique sound that is as meticulous as it is robust. Going more in depth on the release, it plays off the title of Wayne Shorter’s 1966 jazz record “Speak No Evil”; “Speak True Evil” asserts the legitimacy of free speech as asserted by thinkers like Mill, Paine, Luxemburg, and Hitchens. As Mill writes, ‘If all mankind minus one, were of one opinion, and only one person were of the contrary opinion, mankind would be no more justified in silencing that one person, than he, if he had the power, would be justified in silencing mankind.’ After all, it is as much the right of the listener to hear as it is the speaker to talk – enforced silence imprisons man in the cage of his own perspective. The title, then, encourages listeners to speak true evil.”

“Ferocity and sweetness. Kill No Albatross will coax you in with soothing vocal melodies and destroy you with high energy riffage. Five-piece powerhouse rockers. Animal friendly.” – Keegan Ro, MAT/H Magazine

2018 started with a bang, as the band performed as part of Canadian Music Week and attained coveted slots on the Vans Warped Tour and Burlington’s Sound of Music Festival. That momentum will continue when their forthcoming EP, “Speak True Evil” is released on July 13th, 2018. Going forward, the band intends to expand the dynamics of their unique sound, traversing softer and heavier territory without compromising the meticulousness they are becoming known for. They are excited to develop as musicians and a band along with touring their home country and bringing their signature wild energy to every stage along the way.

The band comments:

“Speak True Evil is a showcase for Kill No Albatross’ dynamic, technically proficient, intellectual approach to rock music. These four songs cover musical ground that ranges from furious to sweet, hopeful to agonized. The powerful vocals of Kyle Collins pair with the tight, impassioned instrumentation to create a unique sound that is as meticulous as it is robust. The title, then, encourages listeners to speak true evil.”

Leading up to the release of “Speak True Evil”, KNA has teamed up with SpaceUntravel for the premiere of their new music video for their first single “Apex Predator”.

The band adds:

“Apex Predator” is the angriest song on the record. Driven by a heavy guitar riff and ferocious drums, the song features a catchy chorus and a wild bridge, and showcases the harsher side of Kyle Collins’ vocals. To better embody the emotional lilt of the song – anger is at once uninhibited and, on some level, embarrassing – the band recorded the song naked.”

About:

Since the band’s formation in 2015, CRNKSHFT’s engine has been firing on all cylinders setting their scene ablaze with their explosive, drop tune aggression with melody at its core.  They pride themselves on writing raw, emotional music and when they perform with zero fucks given, what you see is what you get…a leave it all on stage attitude that gets fans fists pumping, head banging and singing along to the band’s anthemic melodies. The band has already been tapped as local support for such touring bands as Prong, Grim Reaper, and The Veer Union.

“”For those that like their music fast and powerful, this is the appetizer for you. It’s all kinds of mad power…an epic little album from a band that is close to conquering the universe… or at the very least, close to setting it aflame.” – 925 Rebellion

“Opener ‘Systematic’ will testify to this with punchy and growling riffs and equally growling vocals which somewhat draw you in and immediately your foots a tapping and your head is banging, as the air guitar sits proudly on your lap as you ‘Systematically’ scream and roar to the vocals which if you listen closer also have a story to tell.” – We Rock Webzine

“CRNKSHFT’s forthcoming release sells me on the group’s ultimate potential. I look forward to hearing what else this Canadian band can do. ” – Heavy Metal Time Machine

“Stomping drop tuned leads, soaring vocals and hard-charging grooves litter the lead single, a formula that pays off in spades on the riff-tacular “Tears Me Apart,”” – Get Exposed Music

“these guys have a running start to the hard rock scene, and if their message and sound stays in their current vein, there’s no denying that this band will put a crankshaft kick-start to this year’s list of burgeoning, fantastic new artists.” – Shockwave Mag

“the four tracks are full of grunge influences and a killer  metal delirium that will capture your heart ,and ignite your mind. “Systematic” kicks the release off in fine style ,with its bludgeoning , punishing riffs its easy to see why this was the band’s first single, the lead guitars strings are flayed as the guys will have you banging your head and bouncing around the room this is a stylistic killer opener.” – The Metal Meltdown

0 NEWS: PureGrainAudio Premiere TrapRock ERA 9 Video ‘Hero’; New Album ‘Gravity’ Due Out May 5th

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – April 5, 2017

For Fans of Linkin Park, Twenty One Pilots, Skrillex, Breaking Benjamin, Paramore, The Chainsmokers, Drake

PureGrainAudio Premiere TrapRock ERA 9 Video ‘Hero’; New Album ‘Gravity’ Due Out May 5th

Drawing from the future rather than the past, ERA 9 merge Rock, Metal, Hip-Hop and Electronic Dance Music to create their own unique sonic architecture, which they dub “TrapRock”, describing it as ‘revolutionary, unparalleled, eclectic, melodic and heavy’.

“When we formed it was like an undeniable force; a magnetic field that surrounded our individual selves; that when we got close enough to each other, there was no ignoring the fact that our mutual passion for music, performing and writing would become a true reality if we stuck together. We’re open-minded and appreciative of all genres of music. The idea of ‘TrapRock’ was created by this admiration of different musical styles.” says guitarist Jona Dhe Paganon.

Working together as a collective, their dedication and professionalism has lead this Montreal, QC based band previous line up to tour the US with Trapt, Pop Evil, Drowning Pool, Gemini Syndrome and Saving Abel, along with being nodded as opening support for Hed PE, POD, From Ashes To New, Saliva, Filter, Gilby Clarke, Sebastian Bach, Hoobastank, Art Of Dying and The Veer Union, also performing at the 100th Grey Cup Festival w/ Sam Robert’s Band and Treble Charger.

ERA 9’s next full length album ‘Gravity’ is a musical portrayal of the risks they took, ignoring genre formats and flipping the world of music as we know it. In contrast to their earlier sound, this new line up has given them the creative freedom for eclectic song writing, inspiring them to think outside the box.

Teaming up with PureGrainAudio.com, ERA 9 reveal the music video for their second single ‘Hero’ off ‘Gravity’ at the following link: http://puregrainaudio.com/videos/get-your-first-taste-of-traprock-with-hero-the-new-music-video-from-era-9-exclusive-premiere

“We love how our music can bring everyone together and we’re excited to share it with the world. We’ve been releasing music since 2011 and toured across the US, supporting really great bands, and now we truly feel that over the years, we have come into our own with this next opus for fans. We believe that we’re in a new era of music that isn’t limited to one style of listener. We cater to all who open themselves to it! We value creative freedom in music and we promote open-mindedness and imagination.” Adds male vocalist Anthony Lalla.

ERA 9 continues to demonstrate that their unique sound and live experience brings concert goers from different scenes together and party hard to their genre-bending sound. Their music touches each end of the spectrum, with heavy guitar breakdowns and trap drops, accompanied by epic EDM build-ups and big bass, all meshed with hip-hop and melodic vocals. Their stage performance is the real deal; a one of kind audience engaging force echoing an experience to be remembered long after the show is done.  Picture their TrapRock sound, with backdrop video projections, sequenced light and smoke with a pit of fans just dancing from beginning to end! You’ll want to be there. Watch this video, it sells itself.

CRNKSHFT is also streaming their first single ‘Systematic’, which has already won ‘Best Metal Song’ by the Academia Awards Academy in Los Angeles, demonstrating the band’s punishing high octane sound is ready to win over the masses. Listen at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8nMR5NEi90

The wrecking crew comments on the forthcoming EP:

“Our new EP is a beast; we are really excited to showcase our melodic side. The four songs should touch a wide demographic of fans, which is what we want. We aren’t looking to be defined as just a heavy metal band, but as a hard knocking punch to get anyone going. We’re accepted by all those who listen to metal and rock. The whole idea of CRNKSHFT’s music is that we’ll be enjoyed by fans across a variety of genres.”

Vocalist Shane Jolie adds about the lyrics:

“This EP is pseudo political, but also has songs about heartache and emotions, it’s not a story from start to finish, and each song has its own message. It’s an EP to show the world who we are and what we’re all about. My writing is dark, ideas came from depression and anger, sometimes when I’m happy, but mostly not and it’s still very true to this day. I want people to take whatever they can from the listening experience of our new EP. Music always helped me out of my funks and I want CRNKSHFT to do the same. Let it be accessible to all people and all feelings.”

Mark it down on your calendar; there is no stopping the CRNKSHFT freight train. Their self-titled EP will be available on iTunes, Bandcamp, CD Baby, Spotify and all major online retailers as of March 24, 2017.

For those in the Vancouver area, CRNKSHFT will be hosting their local CD release show at Hindenburg on March 25th with support from Bone State Rebellion, 2 Shadows and Porcelain Sky. Full details can be found here.

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – March 10, 2017

For Fans of Linkin Park, Twenty One Pilots, Skrillex, Breaking Benjamin, Paramore, The Chainsmokers, Drake

Idobi Radio Premiere TrapRock ERA 9 First Single ‘Warrior’; New Album ‘Gravity’ Due Out May 5th

In contrast to their earlier sound, this new line up has given them the creative freedom for eclectic songwriting, inspiring them to think outside the box.

Teaming up with Idobi Radio, ERA 9 reveal their first single ‘Warrior’ off ‘Gravity’ at the following link: http://idobi.com/exclusives/premiere-become-a-warrior-with-era-9s-latest-single/

BREACHED‘S EP ‘Left Behind’ was released during October 2013 and was recorded in between Canadian and US dates during the spring and summer months of that year while the band toured to promote their second EP ‘Revolution Sessions’, an acoustic version of their debut EP with a bonus stripped down cover of Alice In Chains’ ‘No Excuses’, which was also joined by a series of in-studio music videos.

Creating an alluring blend of melodious, metal-tinged rock ‘n roll, it didn’t take long for Breached to start winning over fans with their live shows and five-song self-titled EP. The band’s tight harmonies and nail-hitting screams combined with overdriven guitars, intricate tempos and powerful lyrics provide a unique blend that audiences can’t seem to get enough of.

The EP can be purchased on iTunes here and at the band’s official website here.

Track Listing: Left Behind
1. Left Behind (4:04)
2. Piece By Piece (2:59)
3. All We Need (3:09)
4. Brighter Days (3:51)
5. Here With Me (3:17)
Total Time: 17:20

“The Left Behind EP, is the latest offering from Canadian hard rockers Breached, and man it is quite impressive…Disc opener, “Left Behind”, works off a killer riff and features overdriven guitars and a captivating chorus which led me to be immediately sucked into the EP. The remaining four songs follow suit and are solid hard rock tunes in their own right, but at only 17 minutes long, I found this EP to be a bit of a tease.” – Pure Grain Audio

“Breached really delivers on the goal of making emotionally charged music. Vocalist Bobby Noakes has an incredibly powerful voice as it soars over the heavy distortion-laden guitars and precise explosions of the rhythm section.” – Rock Freaks

“a hugely enjoyable miniature peek into the potentially huge future which lies ahead of this quartet.” – Planet Mosh

““Left Behind” is well-structured, well-written and well-executed in every way! The band consists of 4 incredibly talented musicians: Bobby Noakes (Vocals), Mike Diesel (Guitar), Ryan Alexander (Bass) and Neil Uppal (Drums). You can tell, just from listening to a few seconds of their music, that they are masters of their crafts!” – New-Transcendence

The title track had me singing along on my second listen and swaying along to the chorus, before launching into Piece By Piece with a more upbeat, punky sound with a few good screams mixed in, and the feel continues with All We Need. The passion that has gone into the writing and production is evident, and when the tempo drops for the next track, that energy is transferred to a different frequency and you really feel the lyrics of Brighter Days. This is for me where the vocal talent of Bobby Noakes shines the most, a real arms in the air song.” – Wyrd Ways

The Canadian lads of BREACHED are quite an interesting band. Their songs caught my heart with their melodic and easy to listen attributes. You can of course label them, but I think that it wouldn’t be wise. Noakes has fantastic voice and show a great promise. Any Rock fan or Metalhead should grab this one, this much more than to the open minded.“ – Metal Temple
