Montreal, QC – April 21, 2022

Death Metal Act Voraath (ft. Nile, Xael members) Presents Dark Sci-Fi Torment w/ Music Video “The Barrens”

Voraath, from North and South Carolina USA, features members from Nile (Brad Parris), Xael (Joshua Ward), Rapheumets Well, Implosive Disgorgence, and Sweet Blood. They are an otherworldly and experimental death metal band that brings together emotional yet brutal music and science fantasy appealing to both metal enthusiasts as well as those who appreciate the lore of the music. They have a second stand-alone single out entitled “The Barrens,” which follows their debut track “Siren Head” and today they present their brutal dark torment with their new music video for it, which can be seen and heard via its premiere on NoCleanSinging HERE.

Through their music, Voraath batters the listener both musically and lyrically, blast beats set the pace for epic lyrics presented in both guttural and clean fashion that focus on relatable situations. The band shares their process:

“After developing the theme of the music/album we use the music to highlight important emotions or events. Each song acts as a chapter in our musical story. The lyrics represent personal events and emotions and then we wrap these experiences in sci-fi lore. We all have personal pains, just add in a few exploding planets.”

Voraath began as a vessel for the quintet to continue touring and writing. They wanted to explore even further integrating science fantasy, soundscapes, and metal. They hope that the first two tracks tantalize audiences and leave them anticipating their debut album, which is currently underway.

Looking to hit the stage, they promise an onslaught of theatrics, bringing the story of the music to life. Atmospheric and driving, the medley of blast beats, chugging bass, and heavily distorted solos will be both intense and immersive. Voraath is recommended for fans of Septicflesh, Cattle Decapitation, and Fleshgod Apocalypse.

0 Horror Inspired Extreme Metal VORAATH (ft. Nile, Xael members) Unleash Next Single “The Barrens”

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – January 25, 2022

Horror Inspired Extreme Metal VORAATH (ft. Nile, Xael members) Unleash Next Single “The Barrens”

VORAATH, the brutal horror-inspired extreme metal band featuring members from Nile, Xael, Rapheumets Well, Implosive Disgorgence, and Sweet Blood are unleashing their next single “The Barrens” to follow their debut single and music video “Siren Head” directed by drummer Joshua Nassaru Ward and released this past November.

As part of the band’s vivid storytelling, “The Barrens” kickstarts another musical odyssey. Picture a dystopian Earth around the year 2136 and more than 80 percent of the world’s population disappeared after the arrival of an alien species. The music follows a group of mercenaries employed by The Eos Corporation to locate and retrieve something referred to as “the nexus key” in which they run into some complicated and dangerous resistance. Since the arrival of the “Cosmic Architects” strange creatures now roam the dystopian planet. The music is meant to portray the dire and odd environment in which the story unfolds.

The track is just a preview from the otherworldly and experimental metal act based out of the Carolinas as they work on recording their forthcoming full length.

The band first began as a vessel for them as musicians to continue touring and writing.

“We wanted to explore even further integrating science fantasy, soundscapes, and metal. This will be something new bringing together emotional yet brutal music and science fantasy so we hope to appeal to both metal enthusiasts as well as those who appreciate the lore of the music.” adds the band.

Transporting fans to a different world, Voraath plans to offer up both escapism and music that relates to them on a personal level. For their live performance, the band has lots of on-stage theatrics and costuming to bring the storytelling to life. It will be both intense and immersive.

Voraath is recommended for fans of death metal, black metal, and 80’s movie soundtracks.

“Though most of our forthcoming debut album follows a group of  “survivors” who are tasked with hunting down an inter-dimensional deity who has ravaged the earth, for this song (Siren Head) we wanted to do something “less” otherworldly and a bit more of a horror. My seven-year-old son loves watching scary stories about this creature called “Siren Head.” Come to find out that so many kids his age are infatuated by the monster, so we wanted to write our interpretation of Siren Head based on the artist Trevor Henderson. This also allowed for us some family metal/horror time!” – Joshua Nassaru Ward – Drummer/Vocals/ Keys – Voraath
