Rockshots Records: Out Now! Greek Prog Power ILLUSORY New Album “Crimson Wreath”

“Crimson Wreath” Out May 21, 2021

Greece’s prog power titans Illusory have released their new album “Crimson Wreath”, out now as of May 21st via Rockshots Records.

Having opened for such legendary acts Blue Oyster Cult, Warrel Dane, Geoff Tate, and Gus G, Illusory‘s third full-length “Crimson Wreath” is the next step in their widely praised evolution to follow 2016’s Polysllabic (7hard/7us) and 2013’s “The Ivory Tower” (The Leaders Records).

Melodic, riffy, cerebral, and complex “Crimson Wreath” is a very emotional and melodic release, yet heavy and strong at the same time. Both new fans and ones who have been listening to the band for years will indulge themselves in this latest offering of classic, progressive, epic, and thrashy performances. Lyrical themes found on “Crimson Wreath” are mostly anti-war, but the full length also includes a thematic unit consisting of three songs that deal with human loss.

The band comments:

“The band is thrilled! When we look back, from the first minute to the last one, from the moment we pressed record on the very first drum takes to the album wrap-up, we can’t stop thinking about all the things we set and done during those long hours of arranging every little album detail. “Crimson Wreath” has become a member of our discography and our most recent brainchild. And we are totally proud of it!”

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – May 21, 2021

For fans of Sylosis, Paradise Lost, The Haunted

Out Now! Rockshots Records: NAHAYA’s New Album “Vital Alchemy” + New Lyric Video

(ft. Members of Oceans of Slumber, Vesperian Sorrow, ex-Kingdom Collapse, Painting The Massacre, Cerebral Desecration)

Rockshots Records is proud to unleash NAHAYA‘s (ft. members of Oceans of Slumber, Vesperian Sorrow, ex-Kingdom Collapse, Painting The Massacre, Cerebral Desecration) new album, entitled “Vital Alchemy”, out now as of Friday, May 21st.

For the full-length’s release day, the band is sharing their latest lyric video for the title track, which features guest vocals from Aeternam’s Achraf Loudiy.

The band adds:

“Vital Alchemy is inspired by books like the Kybalion and loose study’s pertaining to Gnosticism and Kabbalah. To be put simply, it’s about self-transformation. It’s a very important song to us. We decided to have a close friend of ours Achraf Loudiy (Aeternam ) feature on a good majority of it. He adds some dynamic vocal range, going from the depths of brutality to soaring clean. We quickly realized this was going to be one of the standouts on the album and decided to name the entire project after it.”

The album “Vital Alchemy” is available from Rockshots Records at the following links:

NAHAYA is a Texan-based band that is an amalgamation of American melodic groove thrash, Gothenburg sounds, and Middle Eastern influences. The band was founded in 2013 by Ryan Peters with Semir Ozerkan, who immigrated to the US from Istanbul, Turkey to pursue career opportunities in metal, one being with Oceans of Slumber.

“Vital Alchemy” follows the band’s well-received EPs “Transcendence Pt. II” (2020) and “Transcendence” (2018). Since the band’s conception, they have been working hard to make a name for themselves independently, performing over 50 shows year-round in Texas and neighboring states including Austin’s SXSW festival and becoming national finalists for the 2019 Wacken Metal Battle USA competition.

Mastered by Jamie King (Between the Buried and Me, Scale the Summit), “Vital Alchemy” is seven tracks that will take fans through a wide range of emotions. There is something on this record for every kind of music lover. From the melody to the groove to the speed and unlike its predecessors that were focused on themes of science fiction, this new record takes on more personal interest, spirituality, and metaphysics along with it being more musically dynamic and experimental, incorporating progressive, acoustic, melancholic sounds with thrashing elements.

Overall, “Vital Alchemy”, signifies a rebirth for NAHAYA as the new tracks featured on the recording are the next step in the band’s evolution when it comes to their musical direction.

May 2022 North American Tour Dates w/ Bloodbath

XAEL (ft. members of Nile, The Reticent, Rapheumets Well) are conjuring the resurrection of “Srai – The Demon of Erring” with their new music video in support of their latest album sci-fi escapade “Bloodtide Rising” released this past February via Pavement Entertainment.

The video is the next visual exploration into the fictional sci-fi world created by band founder and drummer Joshua “Nassaru” Ward and can be viewed via its premiere on Decibel Magazine HERE.

Ward explains the album in further detail:

“In Xael, we are trying to not only create some brutal and primal metal, but cultivate the fusion of storytelling and epic adventures. We are building a multiverse with diverse planets and odd-powerful creatures, taking listeners on a journey. This specific album follows the ‘watchers’ as we are assimilated into the vile and mysterious world of Vuul Athmar. It is a tragic love story turned horror. Musically, we incorporate tribal elements, Asian and traditional folk instruments, and an array of vocals to capture the variety of emotions. Though there was a global pandemic, we worked hard to bring this musical odyssey alive and we are excited to finally share it.”

Hailing from the American Carolinas, XAEL brings forth with them epic symphonic death metal like no other. Their new album entitled “Bloodtide Rising” is a concept record rooted in a science fiction universe that XAEL revolves all their music around. The extreme symphonic release chronicles the journey of a character named Darmak, an immortal who is trying to find purpose in a chaotic and complex multiverse.

XAEL was initially meant to be a personal project by drummer Joshua “Nassaru” Ward, however, when other musicians showed interest it evolved into a full-fledged project with each member contributing equally towards this current full length and the band’s first album “The Last Arbiter” (2018).

Fans of progressive and brutal metal along with sci-fi enthusiasts will take interest in what XAEL is doing. It’s different, and listeners can get lost in the complex multiverse that they have conceived. Epic and extreme, it is recommended for fans of Septicflesh, Fleshgod Apocalypse, and Nile.

0 Rockshots Records: TRITON DEVS’ New Album “Stay Alive” Coming June 2021 + New Music Video “The Light of Your Skin”

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – May 19, 2021

For fans of Helloween, Joe Satriani, Dream Theater

Rockshots Records: TRITON DEVS’ New Album “Stay Alive” Coming June 2021

New Music Video “The Light of Your Skin”

TRITON DEVS is the creation of composer/guitarist/sound engineer Blacky Lee Stone, aiming to embark on a new musical project to signify a rebirth of the world after this tragic past year and unexpected period spent in lockdown. Collaborating with vocalist Eric Castiglia, drummer Zamkenoby, bassist Anna Portalupi (Hardline, Tarja Turunen), and internationally renowned drummer Mike Terrana (Yngwie Malmsteen, Rage, Tarja Turunen, Axel Rudi Pell). The collective of musicians has created an energetic 10 track full length influenced by elements of classic heavy metal, hard and progressive rock.

Entitled “Stay Alive”, the record shifts from the classic cannons of metal towards new arrangements and sounds. Each musical composition has its own magic and atmosphere that act as the soundtrack to the narration of the lyrics.

Blacky Lee Stone comments:

“My favorite Metal genres are speed metal, hard rock, and progressive, but as a musician, I think that if a song is beautiful, interesting and played well, it is regardless of the musical genre. That said, this album embodies that thought, despite having a decidedly metal imprint, each track is contaminated by different micro musical influences that make each track different from the other by exploring many nuances of the genre played as a whole. A direct and melodic album with songs that are not excessively complicated but which suggests the skill of the musicians themselves.”

In lead up to the album’s release on June 18, 2021 via Rockshots Records, TRITON DEVS is sharing their latest music video for their fourth single “The Light of Your Skin”, which can be viewed at https://youtu.be/MjmAczDCUto

“Within an album, a ballad certainly cannot be missing, here it is … the slow song of the disc that contains progressive nuances,” adds Blacky Lee Stone.

Lycanthro Debut Their Epic Power Ballad Video “Evangelion” From Upcoming “Mark of the Wolf”

Video Premiere via Metal-Rules

New Album “Mark of The Wolf” Out June 4th via Alone Records

Power/thrash metal act Lycanthro has a new album coming out this year and in true power metal fashion has an epic sweeping ballad out now to share with fans. The single comes with a lyric/ vocal playthrough video so listeners can sing and play along.

The writing process for the band is usually very singular, James Delbridge (vocals/guitars) writes all of the songs for Lycanthro, but the other members will always chime in with their ideas. In terms of how he writes songs, they usually start based around a lyrical concept and the music flows around that. He explains how “Evangelion” came to be:

“We felt as though this track would be a good addition to the album to diversify it even more. This song was a passion song for me as it took me a year to write it! Mainly because I wrote this song bit by bit while I wrote some of the other songs. Lyrically this song is based on the anime “Neon Genesis Evangelion” which is a show that is very near and dear to my heart. As for the music, there’s a few cool synth lines in the song that gives it an epic feel as well as one of the more melodic guitar solos on the album.”

From the get-go, the band knew this song would be perfect to close the album on an epic and triumphant note. It mixes intense melody within the layered, soaring vocal melodies, with heavy-hitting guitars akin to Rainbow or “Last in Line” era Dio. Listeners will marvel at the peaks and valleys that this epic track has to offer.

“Mark of the Wolf” covers several metal bases from power to thrash to prog and is recommended for fans of Judas Priest, Saxon, Blind Guardian, and Helloween.

The video for “Evangelion” can be watched via its premiere on Metal-Rules HERE.

“Mark of the Wolf” is being released on June 4, 2021.

“Mark of the Wolf” is out on June 4, 2021 via Alone Records.

About:
Lycanthro are a four-piece Power/Thrash metal band that formed in 2016 in
Ottawa, Canada. They combine power, thrash, and speed metal, along with an energetic and epic stage presence with their lyrical themes from classic horror and mythology.

Lycanthro introduced themselves to the Candian metal scene with the release of their self-titled demo followed soon after by their 2018 EP “Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse”.

Encapsulating a heavy, yet melodic sound, that is drawn from influences of both European/American classic power and thrash metal along with high howling vocals, piercing guitars, a booming rhythm section as well as uses of instruments such as piano and classical guitar to forge a powerful sound, Lycanthro continues on in 2021 with their signing to Alone Records for the release of their first full length “Mark of The Wolf”. The album was recorded at Wolf Lake Studios in Lac-des-Loups, Quebec and was mastered Seven Spires guitarist Jack Kosto. For the track “Fallen Angels Prayer”, the band brought in a professional chamber choir to add to its epicness.

The album features various lyrical content that fans will appreciate exploring through its different dimensions. Some of the tracks are homages to different stories in pop culture and media, others are meant to bring the listener on a journey through the worlds of each song, or simply meant to be marvel as epic metal we trust.

The band adds:
“We are trying to present fans with a varied and memorable listening experience. Even though everything on this album still fits under the power / thrash metal umbrella, there is something for everyone on this record. High soaring vocals, harmonized guitars, heavy chugging riffs, odd but cool instruments and even a breakdown or two, all metalheads have something they can take from this record and walk away with a positive experience.”

“Mark of The Wolf” is due out spring 2021 on Greek label Alone Records.

0 Rockshots Records Signs Italian Symphonic Metal ETERNAL SILENCE, New Album “Timegate Anathema” Out October 2021

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – May 18, 2021

For fans of Epica, Within Temptation, Sonata Arctica, Lacuna Coil, Evanescence

Rockshots Records Signs Italian Symphonic Metal ETERNAL SILENCE

New Album “Timegate Anathema” Out October 2021

Rockshots Records is proud to announce their latest signing of Italian symphonic metallers Eternal Silence for the release of their next album “Timegate Anathema” due out in October 2021.

The band comments:

“We hope fans will be excited as we are for this new record. It is the most complete and refined album we made so far, and we think that the introduction of new elements and musical inspirations will attract new ones. We plan for it to be a heavy and romantic experience.”

Recorded at The Groove Factory (Udine, Italy) and Line/Out Studio (Milano, Italy) with mixing and mastering by Michele Guaitoli (Visions of Atlantis, Temperance, Kaledon), “Timegate Anathema” will feature ten tracks of symphonic and power prog metal plus will see the band introduce new elements and experimentation into their sound. The album goes from power metal songs like “The Way Of Time” and “My Soul Sad Until Death” to heavy and dark ones like “Rain and Red Death Masquerade”, passing through the catchy melodies of tracks like “Glide In The Air” and acoustic moments on “Lonely and Firefly”. The main theme that inspired the album is the concept of Time.

Bassist Alessio Sessa adds:

“Time as the pace of life, time that gives a rhythm to the music, time as the nerve of existence, the ticking of a clock that brings back distant memories. The future developing through uncertainty and hope that flies on the wings of time. Time giving life to seasons, during which we struggle to give a sense to our hurry. The album’s image is of time represented by the two-faces god Janus, the divinity that looks backward and forward, guardian of thresholds, passages, chances, and who holds the keys of the flow of events. Musically the album puts together a solid metal rhythmic section with real strings orchestra and a choir, which accompany the melodies by the duo vocalists.”

Formed in Varese, Italy in 2008, Eternal Silence combines powerful guitar riffs, a thunderous rhythmic section, catchy melodies, and bombastic orchestral tracks with the support of two vocalists, Marika Vanni and guitarist Alberto Cassina sharing the front stage. The band’s current line-up is completed by Alessio Sessa (bass), Andrea Zannin (drums) and Enzo Criscuolo (guitarist).

Since their formation, the band has unleashed three albums and two EPs. 2020’s “Renegades” (EP), 2018’s “Metamorphosis” (EP), and 2017’s “Mastermind Tyranny” were released on Sliptrick Records, and their earlier full-lengths “Raw Poetry” (2013) and “Chasing Chimera” (2015) were released on Underground Symphony Records.

Over the years, the band has been a consistent touring presence in Europe, performing in Germany, Switzerland, France, Czech Republic, Austria, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Italy, and Hungary along with being support for bands such as Temperance, Therion, Haggard, Sound Storm, Blackoustic (Timo Kotipelto (Stratovarius) and Jani Liimatainen (Insomnium)).

Eternal Silence is:
Marika Vanni – Vocals
Alberto Cassina – Guitar/Vocals
Alessio Sessa – Bass
Andrea Zannin – Drums
Enzo Criscuolo – Guitar

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – May 14, 2021

For fans of Wage War, Whitechapel, Periphery, Architects, Spiritbox

Seattle’s Draemora Shares Progressive Shred With “Victorious” Guitar Playthrough

Playthrough Premiere via Technical Music Review

New Album “Death Rectangle” Out June 18th

Tour Dates (July/August) w/ Hed PE

Seattle’s Draemora will be unleashing their new “Death Rectangle” on June 18th. Just this past April, they gave fans a taste of the record with the first single “Victorious” and today, they want to share the progressive shred of that track with its guitar playthrough.

Guitarist Terry Jenkins comments on the writing and playing guitar for song:

“In this playthrough of “Victorious”, and for the actual recording of the guitars, I used the same exact gear that I have been using for a while now.  The guitar itself is only a few months old in this video, but everything else has been a constant for the last year, at least.

The signal chain is: ESP E-II Horizon Baritone 7 > Line 6 Helix LT (using 4 cable method) > back out of the Helix LT’s FX Loop 1 > Gojira FX Sparkle Drive > ISP Decimator II > Digitec Whammy > Back into the Helix > Back out of the Helix FX Loop into my Rev G Mesa Triple Rec and then back into the Helix so I can use the Mesa’s preamp > Back into the Helix where it is split and I have a noise gate and EQ for what you hear out of the actual cabinet. Since that side uses the power section of the Mesa, too, and the other side has a separate gate and EQ to help match the sound the amp actually makes in a room to me, that runs into an Impulse Response that gets used for our in-ears live and can go to the front of house, as well. What you are hearing in this recording is the side with an Impulse Response.

I wrote this song a few hours after purchasing this guitar.  It was a little different than my other guitars and I ended up playing it for like 6 hours that night.  In the course of that evening, I decided that what I was plucking around on sounded good, so I decided to record it and by the end of the night I had a full song written.  I noticed right away the Fishman Moderns that were in it had such insane clarity and depth to them that I kept playing this big Major 7 chord that spanned most of the strings and I could hear all the details in there. It was kind of mesmerizing and that became the chorus. I also noticed that once I wanted to do some chugs and other techniques, the pickups allowed me a lot of freedom and that is sort of how the song came together. Pretty funny how a new sound or feel can really inspire you like that.”

The playthrough can be viewed via its premiere on TechnicalMusicReview HERE.

Fellow guitarists can follow Jenkins via his Instagram @shreddurst.

Single stream of “Victorious” can be heard at https://youtu.be/oQEigo-xLHk

Draemora was formed in November 2019 in the Seattle, USA area by Terry Jenkins (vocals/guitar) after his separation from his previous band Odyssian. Seeing it as an opportunity to take a chance and try something different, he wrote a handful of songs with lyrics and demoed them out at his house. These demos attracted the attention of soon-to-be bandmate, ex-Jesus Wears Armani drummer Jared Conelie and ex-Odyssian vocalist Taylor Wood.

After fleshing out the demos with their own personal touches on the songs, Jenkins found local guitar player Max Taylor and set out to record the 5 song EP “Awakening” that was debut during June 2020.

The EP was nothing short of heavy, melodic metal infused with honest and heartfelt lyrics. This combination worked perfectly with the band’s mission to evoke an intense emotional and spiritual experience that brings out the raw emotions that are suppressed all day in normal day-to-day lives.

With a slight pause in the band’s plans due to the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, Draemora has just completed their follow-up full-length “Death Rectangle” to be released a full year since unleashing their introductory EP “Awakening”.

On this new album, Draemora has truly explored an evolution from their previous release. Musically, the collection of songs are mostly dark and heavy sounding. It wasn’t intentional, but when the band was writing the new record, they were all locked up and lost their jobs due to the Covid-19 pandemic, along with watching their hometown riot during George Floyd protests. The songs all have deep meaning to the band, but they strayed away from using any specific references so that the listener could make it whatever their imagination wants it to be. They think that is the best way to make a release.

The band adds:

“We are really finding our sound on this album and where we all fit together and the two singles on here were so obvious to us because they sounded so good as demos. We could tell instantly that “Death Rectangle” was a single, it’s got a catchy riff, pounding drum parts and a chorus that we hope everyone will join in on when we can eventually play it live. Our planned second single “Victorious” is exactly the same way.  We were going to actually separate it from the album and let it be a song on its own, but at the last minute, we decided it was the perfect way to end the album, because it has that great classic formula in there with a twist to the parts that really puts our stamp on it in a great way.  Our main goal in mind for this release was that we wanted people to enjoy it live, so we made big choruses and really big recognizable parts that made us feel great when we were writing the whole record. It’s 10 songs that we all felt were nothing but bangers, we don’t put filler on anything, if there were only 8 good songs out of 50, then the album would be 8 songs and that’s that. As far as the next thing, we’re already working out new stuff as we’ve finished this so hopefully next year we’ll be back with another full length, that’s the goal at least.”

Draemora is recommended for fans of Wage War, Whitechapel, and Periphery.

The full album “Death Rectangle” comes out on June 18, 2021.

“Draemora’s new EP Awakening is a 17 minute melodic death metal piece with more twists and turns than your average M. Night Shyamalan movie. This is a band that doesn’t stick to the tradition melo-death sounds, instead looking to incorporate some clean singing, some progressive sections and some experimental sounds… This is an EP that incorporates many different sounds, but doesn’t have any filler… A very unique debut release from Draemora.” – Metal Injection (Review Awakening EP 2020)

“‘Guilt’ features the band’s penchant for mixing their brutal modern metal with glorious rock melodies! Think of a sound that meshes Gojira, Alien Weaponry, Faith No More, and the more recent era of Lamb of God, and you might begin to understand the group!” – Ghost Cult Mag (Review Awakening EP 2020)

“In this playthrough of their song “Guilt” we see Terry from Draemora ripping away with his Fender Telecaster. His tele is loaded with a single EMG 57 and he’s boosting that guy with an Ibanez TS9 going directly into his Mesa. The deadly tone of the 2-channel and a heavy rhythm hand are such a great combo.” – Gear Gods (Review Awakening EP 2020)

“A haunting, eerie melody opens “Home” with the an Allegaeon esq melodic moment before some DJent infused riffage takes hold and Wood delivers the kind of unclean vocals that leave you with 3rd degree burns on the inside of your throat. Jenkins interjects with a pair of clean sung verses over some almost Grungy Metalcore and you have a track with perhaps a trio of different styles in a single offering that works because of the cognitive tissue of the narrative.” – Metal Noise (Review Awakening EP 2020)

For fans of Rush, Fates Warning, Dream Theater, Queensryche, The Dead Daisies

Canada’s THE WRING Music Video “The Light” Off Upcoming Album “The Wring² Project Cipher”

Music Video Premiere via Bravewords

Album Guests ft. Marc Bonilla (Keith Emerson Band, California Transit Authority, Glenn Hughes),
Bryan Beller (Joe Satriani, The Aristocrats, Dethklok, Steve Vai),
Thomas Lang (Robert Fripp, Peter Gabriel, Robbie Williams),
Jason Henrie, Jason Sadites

The Wring is Don Dewulf and Don Dewulf is The Wring with a little help from some global music superstars. The progressive metal project will be releasing a new album entitled “The Wring² Project Cipher” on May 28th. The full length has something for everyone across the spectrums of classic heavy metal to prog plus features a lineup of guests that includes Marc Bonilla (Keith Emerson Band, California Transit Authority, Glenn Hughes), Bryan Beller (Joe Satriani, The Aristocrats, Dethklok, Steve Vai), Thomas Lang (Robert Fripp, Peter Gabriel, Robbie Williams), Jason Henrie, and Jason Sadites.

The Wring‘s next single “The Light” is showcased in a new music video to give a visual glimpse of the players inside a cool conceptual framework. The video was created by Wring bass player, Jason Henrie, using content clips from a couple of very talented video artists.

“The Wring² Project Cipher” was created with all hard rock and prog listeners in mind, regardless of how they approach music, as he explains:

“I love prog music, but it can be a challenging listening task. I wanted to combine the interesting bits of prog with a strong melody and composition. You can rock out or geek out to this. “The Light” is a very fun song to play. Lots of changes and riffs. This is one song where Marc Bonilla totally took the vocals in his own direction. I had a much heavier vision but he has a style that really works against the riffs and strange, shifting time signatures.”

Dewulf is proud of his music and it really shines through in the video and across the album. The video gives a great look at the technique and the passion of all of the musicians. The combined experience under Dewulf’s vision creates something truly unique, as he puts it, “if Geddy decided to shun the synthesizer and Alex became an acolyte of Dave Mustaine instead of Midge Ure, Rush might have sounded like this.”

Watch and listen to “The Light” via its premiere on Bravewords HERE.

“The Wring² Project Cipher” is seven songs with one instrumental and six vocal tracks. It’s a rock record with bits of proggy and classic rock elements showcasing the diversity of the musicians along with complementing each other and the overall vibe. It is highly recommended for fans of Rush, Fates Warning, Dream Theater, and The Dead Daisies.

“The Wring² Project Cipher” will be out on May 28, 2021.

About:
The Wring is a progressive rock project created in 2015 by guitarist Don Dewulf who had compiled a large inventory of compositions that he had fully demoed, just needing players to turn the demos into songs.  The project started out in a band format with local musicians and they released a debut self-titled album in 2017.

After a series of live dates sharing stages with Anvil, Diamond Head, and Dead Daisies, the band dissolved.  A chance conversation with Mikael Akerfeldt inspired Dewulf to forge ahead with new material, re-connecting with bassist Jason Henrie and engaging world-renowned musicians to perform, bringing the new songs to another level.

The result of that was “The Wring 2 – Project Cipher” releasing in 2021, which will feature album guests Bryan Beller (Joe Satriani, The Aristocrats, Dethklok, Steve Vai), Thomas Lang (Robert Fripp, Peter Gabriel, Robbie Williams), Jason Henrie, and Jason Sadites.

Always starting with a riff, Dewulf builds compositions that showcase his signature blend of classic heavy rock meets prog. The lyrics come after the music is done and are usually a targeted response to an interaction that has sparked anger. The translation of emotion into words is subtle, often belying the more aggressive undertones. Expect more from Dewulf with The Wring3 already in the recording stage!

Out now as of Friday, May 14th, Calgary, Canada’s Osyron are ready to reintroduce the past to the present with the reissue of their 2017 album “Kingsbane” in a Deluxe Edition. The decision to re-release plus remix and remaster the record along with three rewritten and rearranged bonus tracks for Viper Queen, Griefmaker and Razor’s Wind (Acoustic) with current drummer Cody Antsey (original recordings were with former drummer Trevor Cobb) was an easy one after the great reception the band received from new fans for their 2020 album “Foundations”.

Osyron has always sensed the sound and production could be better for “Kingsbane”, and with time on their hands during the Covid pandemic along with writing new music, they felt it was an opportunity to share a fresh take of this epic record for new listeners plus those who have been following them for years.

Drummer Cody Antsey adds:

“The world groans under the heavy burden these days which, according to our nature, should bring us all closer together. But it is precisely this feeling that is too often missing. In these times when the bands can’t get together when the fans can only experience the sweat and sound-filled nights in crowded venues in their memories; other ways of forwarding momentum have to be found. For this reason, we hope that all our fans – both old and new – can enjoy our updated and revitalized Deluxe Edition re-release of Kingsbane. We have big plans for our next record, and we absolutely cannot wait to get back to playing shows and writing together in the studio… Until then, stay safe, stay metal, and we hope to see you on the road someday soon!”

The original recordings of the bonus tracks on “Kingsbane: Deluxe Edition” were written by guitarists Krzysztof Stalmach and Bobby Harley, but for the reissue were collaborated by the whole band. The Deluxe Edition of “Kingsbane” was also entirely re-mixed by bassist Tyler Corbett and re-mastered by drummer Cody Anstey.

The music video for the bonus version of “Viper Queen”, a venomous power punch of melodic heavy metal can be watched via YouTube – https://youtu.be/S6aSsrCdfmU

The storyline for “Kingsbane” is about a hero who must reluctantly take up arms against a tyrant king in a neighbouring land. Along the way, he faces many inward, and outward challenges he must overcome to achieve his goal. Through it all, the hero learns a valuable lesson that even though they are duty-bound to stop this great evil, this great evil is also in the eye of the beholder. They discover that the weight of absolute power has the potential to corrupt absolutely – maybe not all villains are as one-dimensional as they seem from the outset.

With powerful songwriting and progressive symphonic melodies, fans of Nightwish, Dream Theater, and Wintersun can enjoy Osyron‘s “Kingsbane: Deluxe Edition” on the following platforms:

“Foundations is an impressive, very likeable album that will no doubt strongly appeal to a diverse range of metalheads, from fans of European power metal, to prog metallers, to fans of more modern metal. Given the strong quality of this EP, I very much look forward to their next full-length album, which could really establish Osyron as a new, fresh force in the international metal scene.” – Metal Observer (Foundations 2020)

“Foundations puts the band front and center for another Canadian breakthrough to a worldwide audience. Osyron succeed in creating a musically catchy effort that also contains some interesting twists and killer interplay when necessary – and should be a band to keep tabs on.” – Dead Rhetoric (Foundations 2020)

“Seriously, it had been a long time since I had been blown away by a progressive metal release and this one does not disappoint. The production is on point and every song has its place on this EP to demonstrate what these guys are capable of. If you are looking for something different and fresh in a genre that has been known to stagnate, give this EP a nice long listen.” – Metal Temple (Foundations 2020)

“Foundations is genuinely unlike anything I’ve heard before and it’s had me going back for multiple listens precisely for this reason. The musicianship and songwriting are of high quality, but it’s the production that really sells it.” – Moshville (Foundations 2020)
