NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – July 21, 2022

TYRANTS OF CHAOS New Video “T.O.C.” Off Classic Metal Album “Relentless Thirst for Power”

Hailing from Lethbridge, Canada, Tyrants of Chaos is a no-holds-barred traditional heavy metal band in the vein of the big four with a modern twist. They are imminently releasing a new album “Relentless Thirst For Power”, which will be their third, and are introducing it with a music video for the single T.O.C.. They explain in their own words:

“Musically, T.O.C is straightforward, neck wrecking heavy metal. While under the guise of sounding like preparing for battle, it is simply about playing metal shows and entertaining the crowd. A straight-forward headbanger; nothing but pure metal. We believe fans will be blown away by this album and left speechless.”

The new album “Relentless Thirst For Power” covers a lot of topics lyrically, listeners will also be able to dive into the classic Teutonic power metal track “Indoctri-Nation” that focuses on mental health issues; the “No Live Matter” ballad that forces one to confront their mortality; and the classic “Lucky Dog” that is reminiscent of the 80s sounds of the Big 4.

Formed in 2013 for the love and passion of music by guitarist Curtiss Vaselenak and to fill a gap in the local scene, the band originally started as a fun hard rock and metal cover band. After some shuffling, he is now joined by guitarist Arik Wagner, bassist Sean Simpson, drummer Ryan Dyck, and vocalist Phil Sirias who complete the current lineup. With many years of experience between them, they bring professionalism and solid musicianship to both the stage and the studio.

Tyrants of Chaos already have two albums under their belts, “The Calm Before The Storm” (2016) and “Into Oblivion” (2019), and this new offering consists of ten fist-pumping, head-banging tracks that were written specifically for this album. It is just scratching the surface of what the band has in store, they don’t intend to slow down anytime soon.

Heavy and loud, Tyrants Of Chaos delivers a solid pummeling of pure heavy metal. No gimmicks, no gags, just passion, and honesty. They are recommended listening for fans of Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, and Megadeth.

The video for “T.O.C.” can be seen and heard via its premiere on Bravewords HERE.

The album “Relentless Thirst For Power” will be out on August 19, 2022.

Our Dying World recently unleashed their new album “Hymns of Blinding Darkness” on June 24th. The record was forged during time off during the Covid pandemic. Initially, a band that was more in the vein of thrashy death, this new record embraces the melodic side of things and presents the band’s new form to the world. They explain further:

“It is an exceptional album of melody, personal experience, and the dedication of trying to push ourselves to our furthest limit. Lyrically, it speaks of many walks of life: sorrow, loss, hopelessness, but also empowerment, triumph, and solitude. There’s something for everyone to relate to in the wake of current times and cultural status. Musically, the record is attempting to stand out with its sophisticated arrangements, catchy hooks, and heavy melodies. It feels like a massive step up from where we were with Expedition and we think it’ll present itself as such.”

On July 9th, Our Dying World hosted their album release show in Santa Ana, CA and captured live shots along with behind the scenes-from the performance plus did a Q & A with band members to give fans more insight behind the band’s songwriting.

Drummer Tommy Tierney explains:

“The band wanted to do something special, showcasing clips of our live release show and we decided to put together a little getting-to-know-you video introducing the guys behind the sound. We wanted to give a little history, some personal details, and talk about what’s on the chopping block next for us. Hymns Of Blinding Darkness has put our hat in the metal ring and we wanted to make sure we gave ourselves the opportunity to talk about what brought the six members to this point that we’re at now.

We’d like to thank Andrew Goldfarb and Jamie Kaufman for shooting, recording, and editing such a stellar video and documentary for us, Gina Vertucci and Stages in Santa Ana, House Of Metal, Vera Leigh, and all the bands that shared the night of our release show with us; Consciously Dying, Anubis, Disrupted Euphoria, Hvile I Kaos, and Mythraeum.

To all the new friends and fans we’ve reached over the course of the last record, thank you for the overwhelming support and friendship you’ve shared with us since the release! We can’t wait for the next one!”

“Hymns of Blinding Darkness” was produced, mixed, and mastered by Alex Crescioni at Stygian Sound. It is recommended for listeners of Wintersun, Children Of Bodom, and Nightwish.

About:

Over the last few years, Los Angeles’s Our Dying World has gone through a tremendous evolution of sound from thrashy death metal of their debut EP Expedition to the symphonic and melodic keyboard-oriented stylings of bands like Children Of Bodom, Nightwish, and Dimmu Borgir.

Formed in 2018 by drummer/guitarist Tom Tierney (ex-Whiplash), the group has played shows all over the USA in their short time together, bringing their sound from the fabled Sunset Strip in Hollywood to the New Jersey Metalfest where they opened for Metal Mike of Halford.

One thing is clear from the young band as they prepare for the release of their second release; they’ve come to stir the standards that hold the metal scene and redefine them.

– 30 –

We’ll make you a solemn promise: Whatever condition you happen to be in now (unless you’re in a coma), the song and video we’re about to present will make you feel orders of magnitude more alive, accelerating your heart-rate, igniting your fast-twitch muscles, and spinning your head like a glorious top. And for those of you who want your music to attack like a pack of rabid dogs, it fills that need, too. The song is “Veil of the Reaper“, and it comes from Hymns Of Blinding Darkness, the forthcoming album by the Los Angeles band Our Dying World. The new album marks a significant departure from the music on their debut, Expedition, moving in directions that may spawn memories of such bands as Children Of Bodom, Nightwish, and Dimmu Borgir, and you’ll get a vivid understanding of that when you hear “Veil of the Reaper“.” – No Clean Singing

“Hymns of Blinding Darkness is an intricate album with lofty pursuits featuring a stunning band makeover.” – Decibel Mag

“As with many great evolutions, Our Dying World took all their best parts and made it huge. This album paces brilliantly and delivers in spades. An overall epic release of their own brand of hard rocking hymns.” – Heavy Mag

“Closing with the excellent Melodic Death Metal-esque piece “Veil of the Reaper”, Our Dying World manages to keep the listener’s attention with soaring guitar melodies, engaging keyboards, and overall solid songs that are well crafted but need more of a personal identity. There are definitely plenty of excellent things about this release that fans of the genre will greatly appreciate, so don’t be afraid and check out this band.” – Infernal Masquerade

“Fans who appreciate equal doses of orchestra and mosh pit will likely dig this passionate full-length debut.” – Angry Metal Guy

“One thing is clear from the young band as they prepare for the release of their second release; they’ve come to stir the standards that hold the metal scene and redefine them.” – Metal Temple

0 Israel’s StormbounD Shares A Tale of Perseverance w/ Music Video “Child’s Play”

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – July 15, 2022

Israel’s StormbounD Shares A Tale of Perseverance w/ Music Video “Child’s Play”

New Album “December” Out Aug 5th

L-R – Yuval Partush (Drums), Rotem Sadia (Keyboard), Ofer Friedman (Guitar & Vocals), Yael Horwitz (Vocals), Shani Friedman (Guitar), Pavel Kleiman (Bass).

StormbounD, symphonic metal from Israel, have been hard at work to deliver their debut album “December” and now with the release of their fourth single, it is almost time for the album’s long-awaited release. The single “Child’s Play” is one of nine precisely woven stories that reflect on real-world experiences set to fantastical music. The band explains in their own words:

“The lyrics on the album tell some interesting stories, some more personal and some global, convey some harsh messages and themes, and deliver a wide array of emotions. We did our best to bring all of that into a cohesive musical environment within the realm of metal. ‘Child’s Play’ is about the victory of creation, the libidinal energy and one’s motivation over negativity and scorn.”

StormbounD cites that it was a long writing process to get the exact sound that they wanted but they are very pleased with the result and its unique atmosphere and depth. For them, their main focus is on the experience they provide for the listener. It’s about the music, not egos.

Together since 2018, StormbounD has been working hard to make their name known in the local scene by playing many live shows, most recently opening for Epica in Tel Aviv this past June, along with national festivals including Metal 4 Peace and Israeli Metal Fest, they have also had their songs top local metal charts.

“December” is a diverse, and melodic prophecy of wrath with epic highs, and despondent lows. StormbounD masterfully takes symphonic metal to new heights while staying grounded in their roots and remaining accessible. They recommended listening for fans of Nightwish, Within Temptation, and Delain.

The video for “Child’s Play” can be seen and heard via its premiere on Devolution Magazine HERE.

The full album “December” will be released on August 5, 2022.

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – July 15, 2022

GRAVESHADOW Bring The Epic And Symphonic On New Album ‘The Uncertain Hour’

In Stores And Online Now; Tour Kicks Off Today

The Sacramento-based quintet GRAVESHADOW – who deftly mixes symphonic/gothic metal with elements and influences from a variety of styles to create something epic, progressive, melodic, and powerful – release their long-anticipated new effort ‘The Uncertain Hour’ on CD, limited-edition vinyl and digital formats.

“Can’t believe we are here,” claims guitarist William Lloyd Walker. “It’s been a challenging road but I’m incredibly proud to finally release ‘The Uncertain Hour’ for everyone to hear. This group has come together so well on a creative and personal level. I can’t wait to see what the future holds!”

GRAVESHADOW’s third album, ‘The Uncertain Hour,’ was produced by Miss May I guitarist Justin Aufdemkampe (Clutch, War of Ages), mastered by Alberto De Icaza (Crobot, Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist), and features artwork by Roman Ismaylov (Battle Beast, Beast In Black). It sees a new lineup for GRAVESHADOW now augmented by the newfound energy that has been brought into the band by the soaring melodic performance of new vocalist Rachl “Raxx” Quinn and the rumbling rhythm section of new bassist Luci Rae and new drummer Bones Padilla. The returning guitar duo of William Lloyd Walker and Aaron Robitsch once again deliver a beautiful display of guitar histrionics that tastefully mixes searing shred with warm melody, while Aaron even adds some harsh backing vocals. Graveshadow is back on the scene with a story to tell. Intertwining melodic highs and crushing lows to sweep listeners away on a journey of self-discovery, loss, and the will to carry on.

Jewelcase CDs and limited-edition vinyl (200 copies) of ‘The Uncertain Hour’ are available in stores or can be ordered online from www.smarturl.com/graveshadow, as well as digital downloads/streaming.

Three digital singles and videos have been released in the buildup for the album. The first taste of new music from the reformed lineup came with The Witcher-inspired song “Gwynnebleidd” https://youtu.be/XrorDG70g3Q way back in May 2020. It proved the revamped quintet could create new music and be accepted by their existing fanbase and a new audience. Collaborating on more new music further sessions continued and were evidenced by “Soldier Of 34” https://youtu.be/qXDzhkfRjuM and “The Swordsman” (the latter even featuring guest vocals from Chelsea Murphy of Dawn of Ouroboros, Cailleach Calling, and Tegmentum) https://youtu.be/WnFOUN9S4aw.

Additionally, GRAVESHADOW kicks off a headlining run of west coast shows tonight supported by labelmates, Portland’s VINTERSEA who bring their blackened progressive metal to the mix.

GRAVESHADOW “The Uncertain Hour Tour 2022” Dates (w/VINTERSEA):
7/15 – Barmageddon – Tulare, CA
7/16 – The Viper Room – Los Angeles, CA with Novareign

7/20 – Old Nick’s Pub – Eugene, OR
7/21 – Funhouse Seattle – Seattle, WA
7/22 – Dante’s – Portland, OR

GRAVESHADOW‘s previous album, 2018’s ‘Ambition’s Price,’ was given accolades by Metal Utopia for being “a great record with lots of great moments for fans of Nightwish and The Birthday Massacre.” Metal Nation praised ‘Ambition’s Price,’ declaring that “GRAVESHADOW has taken what has become a somewhat complacent and stagnant style of metal and breathed fresh life into it, creating something vibrant and memorable.” The fantastical lyrical themes that were explored by the band on ‘Ambition’s Price’ – their debut record for M-Theory Audio and the follow-up to the group’s incubatory 2015 debut full-length ‘Nocturnal Resurrection’ – were applauded by critics and fans alike. The band followed the release of ‘Ambition’s Price’ by winning over new audiences with extensive touring alongside bands such as Arkona, Sirenia, Exmortus, Night Demon, and Unleash The Archers.

0 Rockshots Records – ANTHEA Shares New Video “Empyrean” Off Upcoming Album “Tales Untold” Out August 2022

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – July 15, 2022

Rockshots Records – ANTHEA Shares New Video “Empyrean” Off Upcoming Album “Tales Untold” Out August 2022

Los Angeles symphonic prog metallers ANTHEA will be releasing their sophomore album “Tales Untold” via Rockshots Records this coming August to follow their 2020 debut “Illusion”. Last month they unveiled their first single and title track with a music video (watch here). Today, they share their second single “Empyrean” with a new music video that can be viewed at https://youtu.be/0jKK5a-zgIo

Digital – https://bfan.link/empyrean

The band adds about the track:

“One of the heavier songs on the album, Empyrean is an inspirational piece about overcoming the obstacles in your path and making your dreams come true. Something that we ourselves relate to from playing in the backyards of East LA and Compton as teenagers, to what Anthea has become and where we’re going.”

For the new album “Tales Untold”, Anthea has taken the reigns for a more DIY approach with vocalist Diego Valadez taking over also as the full-length’s producer along with bassist Eric “EJ” Guerrero in charge of music videos and photography.

“We released our debut album in 2020, but were, unfortunately, like everyone else, unable to tour or play live gigs. However, this gave us a lot of extra time to really craft this follow-up album into something special. Tales Untold was written and recorded throughout 2021 and I am so proud of the end result.” adds Valadez.

Fans of Anthea‘s first album “Illusion” will enjoy this one even more. The difference with this next record is that Anthea has a more mature sound and has carefully thought out the ebb and flow throughout it. Their end goal is to give a very dynamic and cinematic album in which the listener feels as though they’ve gone through a grand musical journey once they’ve reached the end.

Anthea is a melodic, symphonic metal band from Los Angeles, CA. With influences from bands like Nightwish, Kamelot, and Wintersun, as well as scores from composers such as Hans Zimmer, John Williams, and Danny Elfman, the band create a unique theatrical sound blending progressive, power, and thrash metal elements, with a grand, cinematic edge.

“Tales Untold” is due out on August 26, 2022.

The band released some demo songs as singles which quickly began gaining attention in the local metal scene. Anthea began playing more live shows around Los Angeles, opening for various bands including Smile Empty Soul, Helion Prime, September Mourning, and many more.

In late 2019, Anthea announced that they would be entering the studio to re-record their singles as well as some new material for an official EP that would be titled “Illusion.” It wasn’t long before the group was contacted by Rockshots Records. The label suggested that instead of releasing an EP, the band should consider recording a full-length debut album. If they did so, Rockshots would release the record under their label. Anthea agreed and began working on more material.

Illusion, the debut album from Anthea was released on October 23rd, 2020 under Rockshots Records. The album has received many positive reviews from several magazines, blogs, and podcasts. The three singles “Moirai”, “Illusion”, and “Reach”, have all gone on to receive international play on various rock and metal radio stations.

The band returns in 2022 with their second album “Tales Untold” due out in August 2022.

Greber is a harsh grind/hardcore act, coming at ya’ from Ontario, Canada. They are releasing a new album “Fright Without”, which will be their fourth full length, later this year and in anticipation, are getting listeners stoked with their first single “Into Silence”.

Even just as a duo, Steve Vargas (drums/vocals) (The Great Sabatini, BIIPIIGWAN) and Marc Bourgon (bass, vocals) (ex-Fuck The Facts) sacrifice nothing and deliver a rush of intensity boosting adrenaline in listeners. Bourgon writes most of the skeletal ideas, which always start from the lyrics. Even if it’s just the title, it has to be there before he can let loose. Once Vargas comes in, things start to take shape, and chaos can begin. They explain the single “Into Silence”:

“This song is well above either of our abilities playing-wise so I’m sure we’ll never rock it live, thank Christ. Just a blasting of riffs and drums and pain. Nice. As far as a lyrical theme goes it’s just a portrait scaling the finer points of dissociation. Steve is just full-on, triple E, BEEEAST mode on this number.”

For Greber, the lyrics are an ever-evolving slog through a myriad of different sources. According to Bourgon, it used to be an overly personal airing of this or that, but on “Fright Without”, he went to great lengths to make it hurt more and to branch out as far as he could. The duo has come a long way since their debut back in 2006, their current form is raw and relentless, a sonic battering of low-end stylings.

In terms of influences, Vargas and Bourgon share the same love for “no bullshit” type bands. “Bands that only need what’s coming out the speakers and nothing else” such as Yautja, Malevich, Gaza, and Converge. Recommended for fans of the visceral, Greber will be enjoyed by those with an interest in Man is the Bastard, Black Sheep Wall, and Primitive Man.

The music video for “Into Silence” can be seen and heard via its premiere on MetalInjection HERE.

“Fright Without” is slated for September 9, 2022, and will be available from the following labels: Ancient Temple and Nofuneral for Vinyl, CD, and Cassette in Canada, Hibernation Release for Vinyl in the USA, and 7 Degrees and Fresh Outbreak for Vinyl in Europe.

0 Decibel Premiere – Israel’s Sinnery Present A Refreshingly Bold Metal Attack With “Black Bile”

Sinnery is a four-piece Israeli metal band that draws influences from thrash, melodic death, and modern core and churns them into a catchy yet abrasive, groovy yet aggressive unique blend of high-impact metal. Together since 2012, they are getting ready to release their second album later this year via Exitus Stratagem Records, and right now they are serving up the second single and title track “Black Bile”.

Sinnery’s lyrics come from very different places but on this record, vocalist/guitarist Alon Karnieli really focused on inner feelings and inner demons. The overarching lyrical concept for the album was to touch and exaggerate everything that is bad within them and show it out in the open. They expand on this in relation to the single:

““Black Bile” was picked to be our title track since the whole concept of the album is represented in the lyrics, it talks about killing the worst in yourself, all while keeping the finger pointed at the one who’s to blame – yourself. While musically “Black Bile” also represents what we love about modern metal and the essence of what our music turned out to be. It’s a heavy, upbeat banger that keeps attacking you right until the very end of the song.”

Musically, the album delivers what metal/rock fans want. Heavy riffs, high energy, melodies, and a great production that makes the passion and musicianship shine through. Each song is a story, and together they make a cohesive album that is non-stop headbanging from start to finish.

Sinnery is dramatic and extreme, their refreshing sound is recommended for fans of Testament, The Haunted, and Sylosis.

0 Bravewords Premiere – Now Streaming! CELESTIAL WIZARD Blurs The Line Between Power And Death Metal With “Winds Of The Cosmos”

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – July 14, 2022

Now Streaming! CELESTIAL WIZARD Blurs The Line Between Power And Death Metal With “Winds Of The Cosmos”

The second release from Denver, USA’s Celestial Wizard is a veritable blend of power metal and death metal. “Winds Of The Cosmos” is nine tracks of crushing and aggressive vocals with thrash and melodic style of guitar playing. The drums are clear, and punchy to give a solid foundation and framework for the music to thrive. All these elements together create something new and unique in its own right, blazing a new trail of melodic heavy metal.

The lyrics guide the listener through a choice mix of fantasy and sci-fi themes, ranging from frosty Dungeons and Dragons excitement to space travelers and black holes. The lyrics also delve into personal struggle and growth, allowing fans to connect with the music on a deeper level. The band shares their thoughts on the release:

“We’re over the moon to finally be releasing ‘Winds Of The Cosmos’ to everyone. We’re all so incredibly proud of what we’ve made. We worked so hard on this record and pushed ourselves to outperform anything we’ve done previously, and I think we’ve achieved that. We made a point to record everything with the most passion and conviction we could and to give our absolute best from start to finish. We’re so thankful for everyone that’s stuck with us since the beginning and especially thankful for everyone who had a hand in seeing this album to completion.”

Celestial Wizard wanted every song on this album to be able to stand on its own, giving the fans a different experience with each track. At the same time, they wanted there to be a flow and connection from song to song, allowing listeners to sit down with the album and enjoy the ride from beginning to end. Those wanting more from the band won’t be disappointed, as they have already started the writing process on new material.

Melodic, and high-energy, “Winds Of The Cosmos” is recommended for fans of Amon Amarth, Arch Enemy, and Galaktikon.

The album “Winds Of The Cosmos” comes out on July 15, 2022 and can be heard in full via its premiere on Bravewords HERE.

About:
Celestial Wizard is a fantasy-inspired heavy metal band based out of Denver, Colorado. Formed in 2018, this heavy metal quartet delivers crushing riffs and grand stories of dragons and wizards. Seeking to stand out among the others, Celestial Wizard combines the best elements of death metal with symphonic and synthwave elements creating a unique and engaging sound.

In the beginning, they carried a symphonic, fantasy sound dousing every song with a healthy dose of strings, choirs, synthesizers, and the like. This vibe can be heard on their debut album “A Sinister Awakening” (2018). Intended to be a concept album, they marketed some of the limited edition tapes and mini VHS tapes as though the album was a movie, thus The tapes ended up getting put in the soundtrack section of record stores.

The next year, drummer Tim Gillman joined Nick Daggers (guitar/vocals), Guillermo Jurado (guitar/bass), and Amethyst Noir (vocals) and they slashed most of the unnecessary backing tracks and refocused the music on the riffs and the core elements of the band. The evolution is reflected in the second album “Winds Of The Cosmos” (2022) (Release Date July 15th).

They deliver an energetic and engaging performance while keeping the sound tight. They make an effort each night to make their songs come alive and immerse the audience in their love for playing. They have played with bands including Alestorm, Gloryhammer, Insomnium, Nekrogoblikon, and Unleash The Archers. Combining their passions of Dungeons and Dragons, space adventure, and fantasy, Celestial Wizard takes influences like Arch Enemy, Metallica, Firewind, and Turisas and forge a path all their own!

0 SCARS OF ATROPHY Bring Thrash Chaos To Wisconsin’s Dimestock Supporting New EP “Nations Divide”

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – July 13, 2022

SCARS OF ATROPHY Bring Thrash Chaos To Wisconsin’s Dimestock Supporting New EP “Nations Divide”

Scars Of Atrophy is the new form of Tucson, USA’s Atrophy which has been rebranded after a lineup shuffle in 2020. Now they are gearing up to show off their new iteration with a hot new EP “Nations Divide”, a festival appearance, and the promise of a full length at the beginning of next year.

The EP was released in June and has been eaten up by thrash fans around the world. Its classic sound is reminiscent of their older material, but fresh enough to entice new listeners. While many anticipate what will be the third Atrophy album, right now they can indulge in the brutality and driving force of the stories they’ve created live at Dimestock in Watertown, Wisconsin on August 27 alongside Exhorder. The band explains further:

“We are super excited and honored to play our new material at Dimestock! After hearing our intensity, the organizers put us opening for Exhorder and playing with a who’s who of the future heavyweights. In the past, writing new music was a bit repressed and controlled. Now, every idea is considered and everyone is encouraged to contribute. This is heard in the tightness and focus of each song’s intricacies. Climb aboard our train and thrash out to the heaviness with us. We approach with honesty and that is continually hammered out with our blasting rhythms and our painfully aware lyrics.”

Scars Of Atrophy says that seeing fans mosh or headbang at the shows is super rewarding for them and they intend to deliver a wall of energy that is honest and engaging. Those who can’t catch them live will have to rely on the EP to keep them satiated before the full-length drop next year, which will be a greater representation of their “Nations Divide”. Musically, the songs are all hard-hitting with their signature tempo and riffage. Definitely an aggressive approach with the thunderous double bass of veteran thrash drummer, Tim Kelly.

The band approached this EP as both the entertainers and the audience. They love the thrash metal genre and for them, there is nothing better than watching a huge mosh pit break out while playing on stage. They create according to what they expect at a show themselves.

Desert thrash that is harder than caliche, Scars of Atrophy is recommended for fans of Testament, Exodus, and Slayer.

AMF Spotify Playlist 2022 Lineup here.

Western Canada’s largest extreme music event, Armstrong MetalFest 2022 returns to the Okanagan after pausing 2020 and 2021 productions due to the Covid pandemic.

Hosting two days of live metal and camping on July 15th and 16th in Armstrong, BC at the IPE Grounds and the Hassen Arena, this year’s lineup features headliners Spokane, WA deathcore titans ENTERPRISE EARTH, performing in support of their latest album “The Chosen”. The lineup also sees Vancouver’s cult-loved pyro maniacs ZIMMERS HOLE performing for the first time at AMF along with the return of festival alumni progressive death kings NECK of THE WOODS. Presenting a very special performance for this year’s lineup is Kelowna’s OMNIA NIHIL (formerly Apollyon) in memory of beloved vocalist Matt Depper who suddenly passed away this January.

A total of 28 bands from across Western Canada and the USA will be fueling the moshpit for much-needed music therapy. (please note lineup replacements, Quietus replace Sentinels, Odinifist replace Empress)

Festival organizers add:

“We are so very pleased to present the 2022 lineup! It’s pretty much the 2020 lineup just two years later! We decided it was only fair to offer everyone the invitation back since Covid took the first one. Speaking of which, we are honouring all tickets sold for 2020 for the 2022 event (if that doesn’t work for you, you can claim it in 2023 or 2024). This is the overall biggest lineup we’ve ever put together. It’s going to be wild. I am looking forward to seeing the gang back together again, two years of extra wrinkles and all!”

Tickets are available at www.armstrongmetalfest.ca.

Ticket holders for AMF 2020 will have them honoured for use to attend 2022. For more information, ticket holders can inquire by emailing – info[@]armstrongmetalfest[.]ca.

For more information about AMF‘s public health measures, restrictions and COVID-19 safety for its indoor live event and outdoor camping, the festival will be following the BC Centre For Disease Control’s guidelines, which can be found at the following link here.

Since 2009, West Metal Entertainment and Armstrong Metalfest has not only fostered the talent of hundreds of local bands but brought in well-known, international acts to the quiet, little Canadian town of Armstrong, British Columbia.

Each year up to 700 metalheads from Canada and the USA descend into the picturesque Okanagan Valley and under the blistering sun they spend three days camping, taking in over 30 bands, participating in wrestling events, and scavenger hunts and catching up with their metal family.

The festival has seen such renowned headliners as Kataklysm, Cattle Decapitation, Archspire, Nekrogoblikon, and Beyond Creation as well as emerging artists from across North America. At the end of the revelry, the festival disappears without a trace, leaving the landscape as pristine as it has always been.

West Metal Entertainment is a non-profit society that not only puts on Armstrong Metal Festival every year in Armstrong, B.C., but gives bands opportunities to play different venues throughout the region including all-ages shows, to encourage musical passion in kids as well as adults.
