Violinist Fabio ‘Lethien’ Polo describes SHADYGROVE’s sound as “folk, ethnic, acoustic Celtic pop. We are trying to bring the popular music of our regions, mixed with Celtic and Medieval music, to a more modern view without altering its soul. We write very evocative songs to guide the listener on a journey to where nature still rules.”
Singer Lisy Stefanoni explains SHADYGROVE’s inspirations. “We love the different styles of folk music and the various approaches of the main musicians. We also love the Celtic music. In the metal genre, folk metal inspires us the most. We listen to bands like Eluveitie, In Extremo, also symphonic projects like Ayreon and The Gentle Storm. Those who love folk-metal will certainly appreciate our songs because we all come from that musical background. We take our fans on a journey to a place where myths are real and there is evidence of the magic forces of our planet. In this world the listener can meet legendary creatures walking into enchanted landscapes or see ancient rituals happening.”

While many metal bands find inspiration from supernatural sources, myths, and legends, WIDOW’S PEAK find influence from true life horror, from the depths of cruelty, terror and pain that man(un)kind so readily descends to.
WIDOW’S PEAK is an aural catalogue of carnage, a metallic mausoleum of pain, a sonic symphony of suffering. Their music does not reach for the stars, but rather for the cold void that surrounds them, the darkness that lives in the soul of man.
Make no mistake; WIDOW’S PEAK’s ferocity is the music of the spears, metal dripping with blood, bile and venom!
Formed in April of 2016, in Calgary AB, WIDOW’S PEAK have toured hard, their line-up has gelled, and are now on the cusp of releasing their debut six-track EP “Graceless”.
Inspired by Meshuggah, Black Dahlia Murder, Pathology, Beyond Creation, and Cannibal Corpse, WIDOW’S PEAK‘s is unleashing a teaser for their brutal, dirty, technical death metal on “Graceless”.

“We think fans will react to “Graceless” with a combination of shock, disgust, and adrenaline-pumping groove. Each song is very different from one another, and the EP is well rounded enough that fans of any type of extreme metal will find something they like. While the music is technical and the lyrics obscene, there is an underlying groove throughout that ensures the head-banging musicality is never lost.”

Brazil’s SAVE OUR SOULS release their new music video “The Dark Passenger”. Creating an unique atmosphere by incorporating diverse influences from symphonic to traditional to thrash to prog plus film scores, the single follows their 2015 album “The Others Side” released on Shinigami Records. “The Dark Passenger” was recorded at Monostereo and Dry House studios with the production done by renowned musician/producer Renato Osorio and mixed by Benhur Lima. Mastering was done by Absolute Master. Single artwork done by João Duarte.

One man band MYRKGAND announces the cassette release of his self-titled debut album via Czech label Evil Horn Records this coming March 2018 (date to be determined). The album was unleashed on June 1, 2017 in Europe by Portuguese label Your Poison Records and in Brazil via Nuktemeron Productions. The album features multiple guests artists invited by Brazilian musician Dmitry Luna aka MYRKGAND such as Mike LePond (Symphony X), Antonio Araujo (Korzus, One Arm Away), Andre Tulipano (Steel Warrior), Jairo Neto (Cruor), Diego DoUrden (Mystifier), Vito Marchese (Novembers Doom/The Kahless Clone) and more.
