NoCleanSinging Premiere NSFW Music Video “Witch of DarkSpire” From RAPHEUMETS WELL

New Album “The Elder’s Anthology” Out October 26th On Test Your Metal Records

Blending a sound that is a complex mix of classical orchestrations, cosmic synths, and extreme metal to portray the epics of parallel worlds, Hickory, NC, based Rapheumets Well (Ra-few-mets) bring forth a voyage enriched with lore, fabricated from scratch to show the depth in which represents them as artists. From the birth of organic matter to great wars that tear the fabric of space/time, the story of Rapheumets Well’s music serves to immerse you into a world of oddities.

Inspired by the fictitious universe of the Atai, Rapheumets Well have unleashed three albums over the years, Dimensions (2014), Exile (2016) and Enders Door (2017) that progressively told a larger story portrayed in a complex saga of the Atai (ancient architects) who aid in the propagation of sentient life throughout the multi-verse. Returning in 2018, the sci-fi metallers are releasing their epic “The Elder’s Anthology” on October 26th on Test Your Metal Records. The release is a trilogy of sorts featuring selective tracks remixed and remastered from their three previous albums.

The band comments:

“‘The Elder’s Anthology’ is a collection of songs (we felt) are important in re-igniting the lore of the previous albums. With new changes and new members, we felt it was important to transpose their skills into the foundation of the band. The Elder’s Anthology is re-mastered with updated guitars, vocals, and baselines and we fell this was appropriate for moving forward with the next full length album!”

Teaming up with NoCleanSinging.com, Rapheumets Well have a new video “Witch of Darkspire” to present to fans in two versions, one is NSFW uncensored and the other censored.

The videos can be viewed at the following link: https://www.nocleansinging.com/2018/09/25/an-ncs-video-premiere-rapheumets-well-witch-of-darkspire/

Rapheumets Well is also offering fans an immediate download of their tracks “Resurrecting The Blood Gate” and “The Betrayer” with album pre-order via the band’s Bandcamp here.

“Hickory, NC’s Rapheumets Well(pronounced Ra-few-mets) is a band heavily steeped in science fiction and fantasy. And when I say heavily, I mean HEAVILY. They slam dunk their lushly orchestral and luxurious symphonic melodic blackened death metal into a fantastical and fantastically creative and complex world that I don’t even want to embarrass myself trying to explain. But, you gotta give mad ol’ props to any band willing to dive head first into something as elaborately conceptual as this costumed and inventive septet have from the off.” – Decibel Magazine

“if you like the theatrical havoc generated by Fleshgod Apocalypse and Dimmu Borgir, for example, you’ll fall in love for the music found in The Exile, the brand new concept album by the symphonic horde known as Rapheumets Well. ” – The Headbanging Moose

“As you’re about to find out, this first song from the new album combines turbocharged death metal vehemence with sweeping orchestral melodies, interweaving blazing drumwork and rapid-fire riffing with cosmic synthesizer vistas and fluid soloing, vicious growls and hair-raising shrieks with a vaulting clean-sung passage that coincides with the protagonist’s decision to end his apathy.” – No Clean Singing

“The Exile brings symphonic elements to more intense and sometimes speedy death metal. Solid bursts of adrenaline, with the symphonies effectively working to provide a balance to these heavier moments, as heard in “The Epic of Darmak.” But the band is more than a one-trick pony, and frequently gives way to other flights of fancy while keeping the death metal sharp…an album that is well-written and enjoyable from start to finish. The potential is there for the band to really spread their wings for album number three.” – Dead Rhetoric

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – September 25, 2018

For fans of Symphony X, Dream Theater, Scar Symmetry, Sonata Arctica, Kamelot

Montreal’s FRACTAL CYPHER Unveil Track Listing & Artwork For “Prelude To An Impending Outcome”

New Mini-Album Promises A “Roller Coaster of Genres”

Montreal prog quartet FRACTAL CYPHER are getting ready to release their mini-album “Prelude To An Impending Outcome” in November and have just unveiled the artwork and the track listing. This 4 song mini-album promises to be a roller coaster of genres across completely different sounding songs with intimate lyrics influenced by personal experiences.

“Prelude To An Impending Outcome is a mini album of 4 songs that are completely different from one to another to create a maximum roller coaster effect and make it non linear and interesting to listen to. The clash of style is more important and more obvious than our previous album, but the songs have gained in maturity in term of songwriting and sound. The vibe of this album is really more intimate, due to the lyrics and the overall ambiance/universe of the songs. The melodic side of the band is still really present, offering catchy vocal lines and outstanding solos all over the songs.” – FRACTAL CYPHER

Each track has a different prominent genre influence from power ballad, blues, djent and jazz with the band’s heavy and melodic base as an anchor. The album artwork was done by Silent Q Design out of Montreal and foreshadows the moody and existential prog metal that lies within. Although this album is more intimate with different textures and influences, the reception to its predecessor should be a prime indication of the talents of FRACTAL CYPHER; this next release is sure to be a masterwork.

Track Listing:
1. Coming Back To Life (10:13)
2. The Grandeur Of It All (6:52)
3. From The Above And To The Stars (8:04)
4. Red Lady (9:30)
Mini-Album Length: 34:30

“Prelude To An Impending Outcome” will be self released on November 8th 2018.

BIO:

Fractal Cypher exists to captivate audiences with progressive instrumentals that cut through the mesmerizing vocals and provide a new perspective on each listen. Straight out of the heart of Canada’s metal scene, these Montreal metallers constantly shift their compositions with seamless transitions and theatrical interludes to keep audiences on their toes.

Since 2014, Simon Lavoie (vocals), Ludovick Daoust (keyboard), Vincent Bruneau (guitar), Tommy Fradette (bass) and Steven Cope (drums) have been committed to a constant evolution; the powerful quintet is just as versatile in their music as they are in their musical interests, darting between djent and classic rock whilst anchoring on a power and death metal core.

Their debut album ‘The Human Paradox’ was released in September of 2016, with the follow up mini-album ‘Prelude To An Impending Outcome’ slated to be revealed in November of 2018.

SHORT BIO:

Karmic Link is the brainchild of Stathis Kassios (Nightfall, ex-system Shock) who, after a period of extensive recording and live experience, gave birth to a surrealistic musical project. In 2006, he started experimenting on some songs with Mina G., a charismatic mezzo-soprano, full of karmic ideas. The link was established and the result was mixed and mastered in the famous Tico Tico studios in Finland. The group’s debut album “No Light but Rather Darkness Visible” was released in 2008 with a new lineup consisting of Stathis Kassios, Evan Hensley and Kim Kimbo Gustavsson. Karmic Link so far consists of Mediterranean energy, doses of industrial coldness, atmospheric landscapes, progressive bits, instrumental madness, dark pop tunes, electro breakdowns, funky grooves and hard rock pentatonic moments. Karmic Link’s new album Dark Metropolis (2018) is an album sourcing musicianship from Greece, Norway, and USA, different cultures bound together to offer an alternative metal experience!

LONG BIO:

In 2006, he started experimenting on some songs with Mina G., a charismatic mezzo-soprano, full of karmic ideas. Karmic Link so far consists of Mediterranean energy, doses of industrial coldness, atmospheric landscapes, progressive bits, instrumental madness, dark pop tunes, electro breakdowns, funky grooves and hard rock pentatonic moments.

“Karmic Link is promoting thought-provoking concepts, ideas, heretic, and hermetic philosophies to explain today’s chaotic world and the dystopian times to come in a globally connected world…Karmic Link is the bitter yet powerful sound of our personal life’s soundtrack filled with anxiety for the future ruled by technology.” Stathis Kassios

The group’s debut album “No Light but Rather Darkness Visible” was released in 2008 and the concept behind this intriguing title, is questioning the Eastern vs Western modern conflict but from a metaphysical point of view. Guest musicians on the CD include Bob Katsionis (Firewind), who recorded and performed all rhythm and lead guitars, and Jani Liimatainen (Sonata Arctica), who laid down leads on one of the two instrumental songs of the album.

Although coming from a warm Mediterranean country, Greece, Stathis Kassios embarked on a life-changing trip in 2008 in cold Sweden where he met Evan Hensley coming from Nashville, Tennessee and Kim Kimbo Gustavsson who is Swedish. The 3 musicians started jamming and working together with great success in System Shock’s “Urban Rage” album and Karmic Link’s thought-provoking concept studio album ‘’Esoterica’’ released in 2010.

Karmic Link’s new album Dark Metropolis (2018) is an album sourcing musicianship from Greece, Norway, and USA, different cultures bound together to offer an alternative metal experience!

Inspired by the horror video game “Silent Hill 2”, “Restless Dreams” is a musical journey through dark tormented themes of doubt, loss, guilt and terror. The plot of the album follows a broken man’s journey through the ghost town of Silent Hill after receiving a letter from his dead wife asking him to meet her there. MALACODA brings a fresh interpretation of these themes and artfully bring to life the oppressive, claustrophobic aura of the fog consumed town with deviously clever song-writing and mind-catching lyrics. “Restless Dreams” is a musical release unlike any other. Fans and new listeners alike, prepare for an atmospheric and melodic metal descent into a world of horror and despair. “Restless Dreams” was masterfully mixed by Jon Howard (Threat Signal, Imonolith).

About:
Taking their name from a demon from Dante’s ‘Divine Comedy’, Malacoda’s visceral, gothic vision is indeed divine but no laughing matter.Having worked in the music industry for a decade and feeling less than inspired by the overabundance of local thrash and death metal, Malacoda was originally intended to just be Lucas Di Mascio’s recording project. Inspired musically by Type O Negative, Katatonia and Paradise Lost, he wanted an outlet for his dark yet romantic musical ideas. He didn’t expect it to get as far as it has, now as 4 piece band with Vlad Prokhorov (drums), Mickey D Kiss (guitarist), Tiny Basstank (bass) in the ranks they continue to paint horrific and beautiful soundscapes. Malacoda has two albums, “Malacoda” (2014), and “Ritualis Aeterna” (2016), in their archives with a darker, more raw Silent Hill inspired concept album “Restless Dreams” set to be released in October 2018.Vocalist and composer Lucas, who studied Literature and Religion at University, explains: ‘The reason why I chose Malacoda as a band name was for a few reasons. The book, Dante’s Inferno, was a big influence on me as a teenager and young adult. It’s a very powerful piece of literature. I knew I wanted something from that book as a band name, and it’s one of the many names in the book that lent itself to interesting imagery- when you hear “Malacoda” it doesn’t sound like the name of a demon, it sounds like something more elegant and mysterious than horrifying. I wanted a powerful name that fit not only the sound of the band but also the lyrical themes I touch upon. The idea behind the band has always been to “find the beauty within horror”, and I think Malacoda suits that idea.”Like the ‘Inferno’ that inspired their name they forge metal without limits in sonic shapes endless and horrifying in equal measure. Malacoda’s music vision shares much in common with Dante’s, they are unafraid to gaze into the abyss, unafraid to be inspired by the myriad of human horrors within and without. They are not blind to the worlds within them waiting to be born. Full of dark atmosphere, originality and innovation, this is gothic power metal for the 21st century, intelligence and intensity to rival that of their infernal inspirations!

“‘Penny Dreadful’ starts off this 25-minute six track EP and from the off, it feel like the influences of old Hammer Horror movies are rife across all elements of the music. Dark, foreboding and with lyrics to enjoy as well as unsettle, Malacoda have done a good job in the atmospheric storytelling department.” – Powerplay Mag UK

“These sixs track are loaded with immersive tempos, excellent guitar play and plenty of keyboard sounds. The end result reminds me of something between Dimmu Borgir, Nightfall, Moonspell and Kamelot, which obviously means that this music is epic as hell. My favorite track is ‘I Got A Letter’ but there’s a lot of gothic goodness to be found on this thing.” – Merchants of Air

“It’s funny how I started listening to this EP straight after reviewing the excellent Devilment Album by Dani Filth and his cohorts , these guys would fit in perfectly with the Cradle of Filth front mans  merry band of Gothic themed demons live and would be an awesome addition to any Devilment / Cradle of Filth tour!” – The Metal Gods Meltdown

“an intoxicating blend of dark, melodic metal on this six track EP Ritualis Aeterna…25 minutes of gothic metal that is morose while melodic, as well as cinematic in terms of presentation and execution.” – Dead Rhetoric
