Montreal, QC – April 17, 2020

Kore Rozzik Premieres Music Video “Guilty As Charged” via Metal-Rules

Album “Vengeance Overdrive” (Cleopatra Records) Out Now!

Kore Rozzik, “The Bastard Child of NYC” is known for over-the-top theatrical videos and the next one ‘Guilty As Charged’ certainly keeps up Rozzik’s rockstar reputation, albeit it is more simplistic and gives the viewer more time to focus on the melodies in the song and the range in his voice.

Teaming up with Metal-Rules, ‘Guilty As Charged’ is being premiered at the following link HERE.

Kore Rozzik comments:

“We are very happy to release this final video in support of ‘Vengeance Overdrive’. It wraps up the whole story and we really wanted to bring our fans something to enjoy during quarantine from this unfortunate Covid pandemic. To our fans in NYC and worldwide – stay safe.”

Touring with Nita Strauss (Alice Cooper) last year, the leather-clad Kore Rozzik blew up stages across North America with immense stage presence and well woven, catchy songs.

‘Guilty As Charged’ comes from the 2018 debut album “Vengeance Overdrive” (Cleopatra Records), a concept record with a narrative following a character that Kore Rozzik personifies with his alter ego “The Bastard Child of NYC”. A story of an outcast who returns to claim their throne, but dredged in a fantastical horror setting, the resurgence of theatrical metal has begun.

For fans of Alice Cooper, Avatar and Disturbed; Kore Rozzik is perfect for those who enjoy gritty clean vocals, well-placed guitar solos, and catchy choruses.

“Vengeance Overdrive” is available from Cleopatra Records here, along with stream and download on Spotify, Bandcamp and Apple Music.

About:

Commonly known as “The Bastard Child Of NYC” – Kore Rozzik represents the new rock star for today’s generation. After playing and organizing many productions in the big apple- the band began touring and making festival appearances in 2016. Recently touring with OTEP nationally in support of their debut record “Vengeance Overdrive” (Cleopatra Records) The band is slated to release a handful of new music videos and radio singles in 2019. Pushing an anti-establishment /by any means necessary theme it hits a nerve with fans and music lovers alike who have aspired to pursue their dreams despite the politics of the world.

The debut record-Vengeance Overdrive is a concept record dressed in a fantasy/horror setting that showcases Kore Rozzik as “The Bastard Child of NYC”.- A notorious underdog artist who becomes blacklisted from the NYC music scene only to return mysteriously to silence the doubters and take his place at the top of the music food chain. Inspired by John Carpenter, Alice Cooper, and Disturbed -This eclectic record comes at the perfect time with the recent resurgence of theatrical rock/metal hitting the states(Ghost and Avatar). For fans of hard rock/ metal and horror movies

Vengeance was produced by the talented production team Westfall studios in NYC. Kore Rozzik has previously worked with the likes of Virus (Dope), Paul Bento (Carnivore) and has made on-stage appearances with Bobaflex and Steel Panther.

Canadian Blackened Doom Metal PLAGUE WEAVER Spreads Darkness With Music Video ‘The Traveller’

New EP “Through The Sulphur Eyes”  Out Now!

Toronto’s Plague Weaver released a new EP “Through The Sulphur Eyes” in January 2020 and now has a music video out for the track ‘The Traveller’.

Watch the video HERE.

Aiming to create black metal with a sickening atmosphere, the solo project of RM offers up the bleak video, which compliments the black metal it is set to, characterized by pounding, slow, dissonant riffs. Creator RM explains the EP as a whole:

“The new EP is a continuation of work that began on our self-titled debut. It’s still black metal with elements of doom metal, but with a little bit of a different approach – more spoken words, more atmosphere and a guest solo in ‘Unchained, recorded by Derryl Vi.”

Follow up on the debut, self-titled release from last year, “Through The Sulphur Eyes” is blackened doom mixed with faster, melodic parts and fans will appreciate the consistency.

There is more in the works from Plague Weaver, a full-length release has been hinted at, and the establishment of a live lineup for performances.

For fans of Rotting Christ, Varathron, old Samael, Triptykon, and Dissection, the album is available now on Plagueweaver.bandcamp.com, Spotify and iTunes.

About:

Plague Weaver is Black/Doom metal from Canada; created in December 2018 by RM. The original idea was to create music in the vein of old school Black metal mixed with other musical influences coming from Death/Doom metal.

Black metal mixed with a sickening atmosphere is what’s in store for listeners as the solo project of RM; it is the musical interpretation of RM’s vision of the world, philosophy, the occult, and general experiences. It is the culmination of over 25 years of travel through metal /dark ambient/ experimental music RM has created.

A debut self-titled EP was released in 2019 and is followed up in 2020 with the EP “Through The Sulphur Eyes”.

Plague Weaver is a solo project, but there are plans to create a live lineup for performances.

““Through The Sulfur Eyes” is a solid EP… the overall sound that is achieved is impressive… PLAGUE WEAVER has an interesting doom-like black metal sound that works well with layered deep and high-pitched vocals. I think fans of doom metal and black metal aficionados will appreciate this one.” 8/ 10 – Metal Temple

“From the moaning leads to the slow lurching cadence and the deep monstrous roars, the opening of the title song sounds like the beginning of a death/doom track, but although that oppressive feeling of plague and decay persists, the band also pitch into fits of percussive mayhem, fevered riffing, and vocal madness, and they stitch flickering bits of guitar lunacy into the song as well.” – No Clean Singing

“breaking through to listeners in 2020 is a seriously steep hill to climb and bands have to either push the envelope, do something that can’t be found elsewhere, or just amaze and electrify with each release to grab attention and stay relevant. Plague Weaver do all that on Through the Sulphur Eyes and it’s up to you to show them how good a job they’ve done. What I’m saying is, go buy it. Now.” – Nine Circles

“Through crawling malignancy is how Plague Weaver approach their art, and these songs are filled with grim mood and malevolent auras” Indy Metal Vault

“There’s a darkness running throughout Through the Sulphur Eyes that is quite powerful… The riffs are weighty, drenched in a toxic malaise, yet also possessing the razor-sharp cutting edge of underground black metal. It’s a captivating combination, that moves forward at a steady, relentless pace. What really lingers though is a feeling of uncleanliness; this music is corrosive, carrying with it a taint of infection and, well, plague.” – The Sound Not The Word

“”Plague Weaver” are a collection of melancholic and sorrowful tunes that drag you deep into hell.” – Absit Omen (self-titled EP review)

The seven tracks are a composite of progressive and technical death metal, played by five seasoned musicians that bring an eclectic set of skills to the band.

‘Pathfinder’ is a track about personal honesty, about feeling what you love, doing what you love, and being who you truly are. The band explains their expectations of the album and hopes for listeners reception:

“It is suitable for fans of aggressive, progressive and technical metal music, it is something new, but still within the realms of what we know and love. Our debut release is our full, headlining set, and plays great in the order of the album”

About:
Omniarch was formed from the ashes of two former bands, Netherward and This is War. Morgan Lambert (guitar), Mason Wilson (guitar), Jon Hofmann (bass), Mackenzie LaHaye (vocals), and  Henry Giesbrecht (drums) who had played gigs together in separate bands, had always entertained the idea of joining forces. Eventually, conditions allowed for the amalgamation of the two bands into a new and wholly different alloy of metal and formed the beginning of Omniarch.

Giesbrecht, the original drummer, added a new dynamic to the band with his fresh approach to metal song structures. Eventually, Giesbrecht moved on and made way for Sean Higgins to step in and make his own indelible mark on the band with his nuanced sense of rhythm and pace. The disparate and yet congruous influences have come together to showcase a truly unique and exciting band, full of opportunity.

Each Omniarch song starts with a collaboration between Wilson and Lambert to determine the riffs, which are then brought to the rhythm section where they are morphed into a  cohesive idea that is splattered with aggressive technical death metal vocals with themes surrounding history, fantasy/science fiction, and mythology.

Omniarch is just getting started, as of spring 2020 they have a fresh self-titled release out on May My 8th with plenty more music coming down the pipe. Watch out for them on the live circuit and take your chance to witness a compelling live show that challenges boundaries.

0 Metal Nation – Album Review: Lutharo – Wings Of Agony “The onslaught continues on “Diamond Back” which is even more aggressive than the opener. It’s like listening to Arch Enemy and Unleash the Archers in a knuckleduster brawl. The EP’s midpoint, “Blood Lightening” has more of a grandiose and dramatic power metal charge to it. Muscular riffs and some of the best solo assaults on the EP are captured here. Shipperbottom continues to maneuver deftly between her caustic growls and her biting and soaring cleans.”

Cryptonight Ushers In Terror With Debut ‘Djoom’ Album “The Black Ritual”

Debut Album “The Black Ritual” Out April 13th

On this Easter Monday, Toronto’s Cryptonight has a slow, djenty and doomy new release for the masses.

Aiming to capture listeners in a very haunting manner, the debut album “The Black Ritual” evokes horror and malice in every riff and melody. All of the music on the full-length was recorded on an eight-string guitar tuned to Eb and is inspired by actual vivid nightmares experienced by members of Cryptonight at various points in their lives. It also includes references from games such as Bloodborne, Resident Evil, Final Fantasy and Diablo. The band shares their thoughts on the release:

“We each picked recurring nightmares that made an impression on us and put them together into a story about a dream world. Fans can expect this album to have a sequel, and to continue into the unforeseen future. Our lyrics are literally us telling stories of what happened in our personal nightmares, as descriptively as possible. It’s a collaboration of everything we love together into one sound to make for a deadly recipe. Dark and nightmarish whilst leaving an ambient and serene linger.”

Cryptonight has been cryptically hinting at this album by making a 20-episode web series on their YouTube channel, which included short instrumental preview clips of the songs on the release. The band hints at checking out those videos for an in-depth background on the music.

Now the full length is ready for ears as of April 13th. Join Cryptonight in a dream-like state full of horrors and feel the chill of these nightmares first hand. With the music and lyrics contributing in tandem to the same frightening experience, it’s a walk through the musical realms of djoom.

Listen to “The Black Ritual” as it takes you through an audial horror movie unlike anything ever heard before.

Physical CD copy will be released at a later date and will be a 2-disk set. The second disk will be a director’s cut DVD of Cryptonight Season 1 for fans viewing pleasure. This band creates actual movies… Not just in audial format. Their production and writing quality will only increase as time goes on.

Track Listing:
1. The Black Key (1:26)
2. The Black Door (6:45)
3. Shadow Walk (5:05)

THE BLACK RITUAL HAS BEGUN… Presenting the debut eight track album from Toronto Djoom (djent+doom) metal band Cryptonight. All of the music on the album is an audial horror movie is unlike anything you’ve ever heard before. The full length played on 8-string guitars tuned to Eb is inspired by actual vivid nightmares experienced by members of Cryptonight at various points in their lives. There are also many influences and Easter eggs from video games, such as Bloodborne, Resident Evil, Diablo, and Final Fantasy X.

Mixing and Mastering were done by Anthony DiGiacomo at Deep Resonance Studio.

Due to the uniqueness of their sound, Cryptonight categorizes themselves into their own sub-genre of metal called Djoom. This is a combination of Djent and Doom.

Cryptonight plans to play their very first show in the smallest city in Ontario… Latchford. They believe that nobody has ever done this before, and it represents their strategy of contrasting social normalities and going against the grain. It will likely be an outdoor show in a Veteran’s park.
