Aaron Holt’s musical journey started on the George Mason University campus where he was asked to play bass guitar for a local church’s grand opening. It was there that he met drummer and percussionist TJ Maistros who would grow to become a lifelong friend and amazing collaborative partner.

The album My Burdened Mind was a very long and labored writing, recording, and mixing project that ended up taking way longer than originally estimated to create the finished product at 47:36 minutes. The long story short is that the album My Burdened Mind was another grand learning experience for Aaron as a producer especially in terms of recording source material that was worthy of being shared with the world.

After the album’s release, vocalist Eric confirmed he would no longer participate in the project and would not want to participate in any live shows. Short of a bassist and vocalist Aaron and TJ anxiously sat on the release and hoped that anyone would listen. Enter album 3, the endeavor where Aaron is truly making every effort to improve upon everything he didn’t quite get right before.

He signed on the incredible help of local vocalist Sujit Kumar who in his own right stands on pretty high shoulders in the local DC music scene as well as making a name for himself across the globe. Sujit agreed to meet and record a few demo tracks, one older song that Eric originally recorded and another new song that would eventually go on to be the single “Set Free Your Sorrow” for a full-length album.

Fast forward to 2020 and Aaron with the immense help of TJ and Sujit has completed a 3rd album clocking in at 58 minutes with 10 songs. The production is solid, all instruments hold their own, and everyone listening has great smiles on their faces with absolute relief that everything has come together so well and polished compared to older works. The new album “In The Palace” features a lot of emotional baggage associated with past relationships, differences in opinion among close friends, thoughts on dealing with incredibly stressful daily life, and also a bit of fantasy writing as well in the longest prog ballad written by the group to date. You can expect to hear a large mix of guitar-oriented music such as straight-ahead rock, classic metal riffs, and intricate progressive lines that flow through each section seamlessly.

Live Band Line Up:
Sujit Kumar, Vocals
Aaron Holt, Guitar
TJ Maistros, Drums

Fun Facts / Story Angles

1. Probably the most important fun fact involves the title of the album, for the 3 years or so we worked on this when I (Aaron Holt) lived out near Winchester, Virginia, which was a long drive away from anyone and anything. Our new vocalist Sujit hates driving, so I often drove the 1+ hour drive to his apartment. We quickly discovered our shared love of cooking and started to share lots of recipes. Sometimes I wondered if I was there to work on music, or just look through his kitchen and talk about cooking. On his Facebook page though, he has a location created for his home called “The Palace of Markujitsu”, which is a weird spelling of his name. I scratched my head for some time about the album title and didn’t really have any great ideas except a song title or lyric excerpt. I read a few articles online about naming albums and one great suggestion maybe I had overlooked, was to name it after where it was recorded. Like for instance Beatles and Abbey road, classic in a great sense. So, we went with it, “In The Palace” seemed like a great fit for the title since so much of it was in fact recorded at Sujit’s place.

2. Much the case with the first album I (Aaron Holt) recorded, all the gear I recorded the guitar with has since been sold and replaced with other gear. There is an element of knowing how certain pickups have been good for me in recordings past, but I swapped quite a few pickups through, guitar speaker choices, string gauges. Whatever I recorded with felt right at that moment but has since evolved further since then. I watch some youtube videos where they try to recreate the classic sound of an album, but ultimately I feel that pain after recording my own music and not even being able to play that same gear set up the same way. I went completely overboard on getting a whole midi rack system working with pedal switching and amp switching that was all perfectly coordinated, and you can hear it all on the album. Come time to play live, or jam everything is much simpler where I can step on pedals I need, and just switch between amp channels that give me all my tones. I determined I had some core parts to my sound, and others I really just didn’t need. In most cases, less is sometimes more.

3. I (Aaron Holt) suppose many bands do this, but many of the original vocal demos are recorded by me, which don’t really sound that great. I never thought my voice sounded that good for the style of music we’re trying to create. But Sujit is very kind of it all, and takes my demos and just does them total justice. I couldn’t ask for more, but somewhere buried deep in my hard drives I suppose there’s a file of me singing set free your sorrow with my horribly strained tenor vocal range.

4. Most of the lead vocals were recorded in Sujit’s entryway closet with tons of sound panels conveniently also stored in the closet for when we were done tracking. We used a full-on condenser mic which would pick up anything, but it was near studio levels of silence except for when an ambulance drove down the street but those were good excuses to check the food or get something else to drink.

5. Drummer TJ  Maistros likes to spend most of his time practicing fills that are pretty unconventional, it’s been almost hilarious to watch him try to recreate some of the things Mike Mangini has started to incorporate like his true stereo drum kit. TJ is taking bits and pieces of this into account for new material that we’re writing.

6. All drums for “In The Palace” were recorded in 3 days at Aaron Holt’s brother-in-laws’ extra-large garage. We tracked everything on my mac mini with 22 microphones.

7. In my daily life I’ve started to not really even listen to a ton of metal music, mostly pop and blues rock type stuff which all have super catchy melody lines, which in some ways I think help keep me grounded on what the general American public so to speak enjoys hearing.

New Album “First Bite” Coming 2021

Aussie Hard Rockers Laced In Lust unveil their new music video for their next single “Hard In This Town” off the forthcoming album “First Bite” out February 2021 via Rockshots Records.

Stream – Spotify

With a sound frequently described as a “Sleazy Status Quo” with the image of the “Sunset Strip”, Laced In Lust has been turning heads since their first show in April 2012. The 14 track debut album “First Bite” is a diverse record with some major sleaze elements to hold true to the genre, but also have some just good ol’ Aussie rock n’ roll tones with a slice of dirty blues.

Singer/guitarist Torsten Steel explains the story behind the single track:

“Is a story about a city in Australia that I lived in for a year that was really an eye-opener. Even though a lot of the lyrics are about this city (which I actually for some strange reason do have a small soft spot for) they certainly relate to many other cities and towns around Australia that I have also had experiences in also. I moved away from the band to a different city in 2018 for work. But it really wasn’t a smart move. Huge unemployment rate, terrible methamphetamine problem, local economy totally screwed and getting worse, the highest youth crime in the country and major sexual assault issues where you can’t walk the streets at night for fear of murder or rape. That’s not to mention that car theft and home break-ins are so normal that no one cares anymore because they’re just desensitized to it now haha. Let’s just say a huge natural disaster occurred and a lot of people were hoping that it would wipe out the whole scum of the city so the government could push the reset button on the place and start again….. So I had to write about this as I was living the same nightmare for 1 whole year”.

0 Rockshots Records: Out Now! SIX DEGREES Debut Album “No One Is Innocent”, New Lyric Video “Imperfect”

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – November 27, 2020

For fans of Lacuna Coil, In Flames, Slipknot

Rockshots Records: Out Now! SIX DEGREES Debut Album “No One Is Innocent”

New Lyric Video “Imperfect”

Italian Groove Metal band SIX DEGREES have unleashed a new lyric video for their single “Imperfect” off their debut album “No One Is Innocent”, out today, November 27th via Rockshots Records.

“Imperfect” Lyric Video – YouTube

SIX DEGREES was born from an idea of Luca Correnti (guitar and vocals) and singer Valentina Aleo.
The name of the band is clearly inspired by the sociological theory (developed for the first time in 1929 by the Hungarian writer Karinthy) about the so-called “six degrees of separation”.

Luca comments about “Imperfect”:

“In this song I really like how Vale and I almost “chase each other” with our voices. Being imperfect is not a fault, but an essential human characteristic. It is one of those things that really makes us human. Sometimes we fall into this trap: we only think about following trends and styles that many consider as models, but in reality, they are not at all. They are not values, but only things that have a beginning and an end, like everything else. What sense does it make to adapt to what is proposed to you as a model? It is hard enough to understand what is real and what is virtual .. starting to recognize your limits helps you to accept yourself exactly as you are.”

“No One Is Innocent” is an album that brings together all the creative aspects of the band. It’s an aggressive, simple, direct groove-death metal, but filled with melody. All of this gives the compositions a dual-purpose appeal, with a mix of violence and impact but also catchy melodies, thanks to Luca’s scratchy growls and Valentina’s sweet and effective vocals.

The album includes a cover version of “The Power of Love” by Huey Lewis and The News, taken from the legendary trilogy “Back to the Future” OST.

“No One Is Innocent” is now available in Digipak CD, Digital Download and Streaming.

ABOUT:
“Six Degrees” project was born from an idea of Luca Correnti (guitar and vocals) and Valentina Aleo (vocals). The name of the band is clearly inspired by the sociological theory (developed for the first time in 1929 by the Hungarian writer Karinthy) about the so-called “six degrees of separation”.

Luca was born in Sicily but now he lives in Umbria. He was part of the line-up of the cult band “Sinoath” in the album “Research” (guitar), then he has been the lead vocalist in death-thrashers “Mystura” and in the prog-death-metallers” EpisThemE “(“Descending Patterns” their debut album, 2014).

After moving to Umbria (2016), Luca joins the historic death metal band from Terni “S.R.L.”. The group is currently working on the songs that will be part of their new album.

Valentina was born in Spoleto (Perugia). She took her first steps as a lead singer in the alternative metal band “Burn it down”. They recorded the EP “In flames” and performed in live concerts including the Tour Music Fest, Emergenza Festival and the Music Village, in which Valentina had the honor of sharing the stage with Cristina Scabbia (Lacuna Coil).

Luca meets Vale thanks to a musical announcement and a few weeks later they decide to start this artistic partnership. They work hard, helped in studio by the sound engineer Elvys Damiano, until all the songs of the album “No one is Innocent” are ready. Then they choose to call this project “Six Degrees”.

Canada’s Feed After Midnite New Single “Out of Time” Reminiscent Of 80s Hard Rock

Feed After Midnite hails from Ottawa, Canada, and thanks to recent, pandemic-granted free time, released a single “Out of Time”.

This is the first single from the fairly new, laid back band who are out to show rock fans around the world that they are “just some dudes having fun and playing tunes”. Embodying that mantra, Feed After Midnite maintains a high level of professionalism, which comes through in their musicianship.

Feed After Midnite shares their hopes for the energetic, upbeat single:

“We are aiming to provide our fans with a mix of a modern hard-hitting sound and also the refreshing nostalgic sound of old school rock and metal. A driving, anthemic hard rock tune with lyrics that paint a picture of a post-apocalyptic world in need of someone to fight for what is right. Are you ready to fight?”

“Out of Time” can be heard on YouTube and Spotify.

Feed After Midnite formed in 2018 and take a large amount of inspiration from horror movies, current events, and childhood memories. When they started they had a predominantly hard rock sound which evolved into heavier stylings but at the same time, remaining catchy and simple.

Those who enjoy many facets of hard rock and metal will appreciate Feed After Midnite, especially those who like Deftones, Avenged Sevenfold, Volbeat, and Faith No More. The band expects to be releasing more music in 2021.

The single “Out of Time” was released on October 2, 2020 and available for download on Bandcamp, Apple Music, Amazon.

“After drummer Cale Costello summons listeners with a lethal drum roll, the song (Shadowcreeper) quickly lunges for the kill. Vocalist Joey Scaringi’s rasped snarls and growls accompany blastbeats until the mid-song breakdowns syncopate with the Shadowcreeper’s violent pursuit. Once guitarist John Robinson’s sharpened solo starts stabbing, the finale seems written in blood. There’s no happy ending here, just melodic death metal that balances brutality and infectious grooves.” – Decibel Magazine

“In crafting “The Crawling Tongue“ (single), the band wanted “to take the listener somewhere dark”, and in that they succeeded. It’s a ghoulish and ghastly song, but also a brutish neck-wrecker, anchored by a cold, menacing, rhythmic slugger of a riff and vertebrae-cracking drumwork. In the vocal department, frontman Joey Scaringi shifts between gruff, bellowing growls, livid screams, horrid pronouncements, and filthy gurgles, and as the song proceeds the band inject bursts of jittery, jolting fretwork, dismal chords, and squealing guitar mutilation, as well as a freakish fret-melting solo that amplifies the feeling of cruel, unearthly derangement in the music.” – No Clean Singing

“Your neck is going to hurt after giving these guys a spin. DUSKWALKER evoke a pure metal spirit that hones a modern groove into a heavier and darker place where all they know is fear! Their tunes pick and pull accents of influence from a wide spectrum but overall stay true to a highly accessible and aggressive metal barrage. Every song on the album is different but shades of Dethklok, Carcass, Pantera, Amon Amarth, Revocation, and Nile can be felt in the shadows around every turn. “All They Know Is Fear” proves to be one hell of a ride, in which I’m sure will resonate a diverse group of metalheads. Crank this up loud and apologies in advance for tomorrow’s neck pain! 8/10” – Blessed Altar Zine

Atlanta’s Sennight was founded in 2017 by bassist/vocalist/songwriter Adam Mast. After years of playing bass in the extreme metal scene, his musical tastes and direction changed and he began writing in a more melodic/heavy metal direction. Influenced by melodic metal bands such as Katatonia, Opeth, and Kamelot, he sought to craft a sound with heavy guitars and drums entwined with harmonic vocal melodies.

Sennight’s first EP “Fear of the Unseen” came out in May 2019, recorded at Jam Room Studio in Columbia, SC with engineer Zac Thomas. Joining in on the studio tracks were a couple of ace North Carolina metal musicians: Drummer David Holquin (Violent Life Violent Death) and guitarist Ron Dalton Jr. (Your Chance to Die, Final Curse).

Wasting no time, Sennight reentered the Jam Room Studio in late 2019, again with Thomas at the console, and began recording their first LP “New Takes The Old” with guitarist Trevor Norris officially joining the band in early 2020. Holquin and Dalton Jr. helped again with studio tracking and the sessions along with guest guitar solo appearances from mainstay southeastern metallers Brian Kingsland (Nile, Imperishable) and Alex Parra (Paladin, Sadistic Ritual).

Up to this point, the writing has been done by Mast who fully demos the songs on a DAW and sends them to the other studio players. The guitar solos are fully made by the individual players and the drums are creatively improved by the drummer. When it comes to their live shows, metal fans can anticipate a high energy set with a big guitar sound, in true classic rock band style with no backing tracks. Sennight’s debut album “New Takes the Old” can be expected in 2021.

Lineup (L to R): Sean Arsenian (Guitar, Vox), Joey Cormier (Bass), Mark McGee (Drums), PQ (Vox)

Hard to pinpoint exactly when it comes to genres, Montreal’s Cell Press brings listeners a cacophony of grindcore, noise, sludge, and extreme metal.

The eclectic ep may not be metal enough or noise-rock enough or sludge enough for some, but Cell Press gets bored really fast and the result is serious channel surfing taking advantage of a wide variety of influences. With this release, they have gone all out to wrap their ideas up in a burlap sack, tied with razor wire. As the band says in their own words:

“This EP sorta sums up what we’re about at this particular moment. Genre people might not be satisfied with our lack of adherence to any one sound for too long but we didn’t make these songs for those sort of people.”

This ep is designed as a broad introduction to the band, and new listeners will hopefully anticipate what else is coming down the pipe in the future. It upholds the high standards Cell Press sets for themselves and each song is quite different from the others.

Super loud and aggressive, Cell Press is a sort of hybridized amalgamation of influences, and most recommended for fans of Jesus Lizard, Converge, and Botch.

Before the EP officially released on Friday, November 27th, it’s full can be heard via its premiere on NoCleanSinging HERE.

About:

Cell Press are a Montreal-based band that formed in 2019. They play a sort of burly noise-rock that leans more on the hardcore and metal side of the swamp. They took their name from the 2001 Russian prison documentary “The Mark Of Cain”. The brutal humanity of that film is reflected in the music… on the surface, it’s raw and punishing but there are complexities

and nuances revealed once the surface noise has been embraced. Members have played in a myriad of punk, metal, and hardcore bands such as The Great Sabatini, Biipiigwan, I Hate Sally, The Chariot, Animal Ethics, Architect, Swarm Of Spheres, and Angles. Their self-titled EP is the first offering of tunes. Recorded pre-quarantine in Hamilton at Boxcar Sound Recording

(Sean Pearson), mixed in Oakland at Anti-sleep studios by Scott Evans with the pandemic in full swing… 2 local shows have been logged but any further plans to gig have been halted by Covid-19.

“From the grooves on “Piss Police” to the odd-timed melodic chords of “Blacked Out in Verdun,” everything moves in unexpected ways. All of this is perfectly set to the backdrop of PQ’s uniquely cackled screams… Cell Press is a great sludge metal EP that reminds the listener of the best aspects of this sub-genre. This EP makes the future appear bright for what is to come from this band. 8/10″ – Exclaim!

“You know that feeling, when you spin a new record for the first time and it just fucking destroys you? Well today I am happy to report, Cell Press outta Montreal have truly delivered the goods with their debut self titled EP.  I mean fuck, is it any wonder this band rules, when they can boast members from the likes of The Great Sabatini, Biipiigwan, I Hate Sally, Architect. With their self-titled release, Cell Press give zero fucks about accessibility, instead they focus on delivering punishing aggression with a melting pot of sludge metal, noise rock, and grindcore.” – The Sludgelord

“Warm fuzzy guitar tones bring a touch of the Sabbath to “Piss Police” with broken chords and momentary pauses giving the kind of sound that Raging Speedhorn look for to accompany the rampant venting screams of the vocals that unapologetically roar along during the montage.” – Metal Noise

“Noisy and enjoyable, I give this Cell Press effort high marks. I am a Punk fan from the beginning, and I hear those roots here, certainly in the attitude, even if the category is technically off. The disenfranchisement is very appealing. Recommended.” – Flying Fiddle Sticks

Canada’s Ancient Thrones unleashed their new album “The Veil” on November 6th, which is a concept release that is a 57-minute descent into the afterlife. The full length is Ancient Thrones’ intent to tell a compelling story of grief that people can relate to through a dark and progressive package droning with cosmic anguish where nothing is as it appears both musically and lyrically.

Ancient Thrones explains:

“The record is a concept record so it’s meant to be listened to in its entirety to get the full experience of the story. Even the songs were written and laid out in a way that they seamlessly transition into each other. Almost as if it was just one long piece of music broken up into separate parts as tracks. We want people to headbang and mosh, but we also want to bring people on a journey through this world of purgatory and grief and understand each phase of grief the record represents through the 10 tracks.”

Today, in support of “The Veil”, the band is sharing a shredding guitar playthrough for the single “The Soul To Flesh”, which is the fourth track on the album and tells about the character entering the third stage of grief. This song kicks you in the teeth pretty well out of the gate and ups the frantic pace of the album to a new level.

Recommended for fans of Revocation, The Red Chord, and The Black Dahlia Murder, “The Veil” is available on Bandcamp, Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon.

About:

Ancient Thrones, formerly “Abysseral Throne”, is a locally acclaimed blackened metal outfit that rebranded to suit major changes in line-up and songwriting.

Formed in 2011, they quickly went to work to establish themselves among their scene and gained local notoriety eventually allowing them the opportunities to open for renowned metal acts from across the globe.

Sean Hickey (drums/vocals) is the sole original founder of Abysseral remaining, Matt LeBlanc joined in 2015 on bass and improved and refined the sound and operation drastically. Once they lost their original singer and guitar player Jonny Rains, Dylan Wallace joined and took over main songwriting duties. Hickey took over completely on vocals with a black/death metal vocal style, and Nick Leslie joined shortly after on the second guitar. Work began on writing a new album which took about 3 months to write the music for. The new material sparked the name change to Ancient Thrones as an homage to one of Hickey’s favorite bands and inspirations, Wolves in the Throne Room.

In 2013 the band released its debut record and its subsequent follow-up in 2016, “Storming The Black Gate”, which was nominated for an East Coast Music Award. Ancient Thrones have toured throughout Canada, and played at several festivals, sharing the stages with bands such as Silverstein, The Agonist, Black Crown Initiate, and Skull Fist.

2020 sees the release of the concept album “The Veil” showcasing the band’s desire for storytelling and pushing them to new heights musically. The new album explores the journey of a man faced with tragedy, his mortality and ultimately the permanence of our actions told through technical soundscapes and haunting atmosphere.

After an extended amount of time introducing the musicians and teasing with excerpts the entirety of Shores of Null’s “Beyond The Shores (On Death And Dying)” is ready for the world. The massive 38-minute single-track album takes the listener through the stages of grief propelled by thunderous doom music tied off with ethereal vocals.

Going off the beaten path, Shores of Null explores the heavier side of music while writing their ultimate doom manifesto. They have collaborated on this dark opus with many special guests, including two doom-titans, Mikko Kotamäki (Swallow The Sun) and Thomas A.G. Jensen (Saturnus) along with the angelic voice of Elisabetta Marchetti (Inno). The band is able to present an even more diverse and eclectic sound on the album thanks to the addition of classical instruments like piano and violin.

Shores Of Null can be overwhelmingly heavy and soothing at the same time, trading off between gothic-doom vibes and blackened aggression. Their music stands out for its melancholic yet majestic vibe, made of choral-like guitar textures exploiting their full range, sustained by a powerful rhythmic section and punctuated by a refined brew of clean and growled vocals, with a large use of vocal harmonies, which have become one of the band’s trademark through the years.

Suggested for fans of Paradise Lost, Amorphis, and Saturnus, the doom metal opus of “Beyond The Shores (On Death And Dying)” is out officially out on Friday, November 27th, 2020 and before it drops, it’s streaming in full via its premiere on Metal Rules HERE.

About:

Shores Of Null is a Rome-based metal band, an unwavering presence within the metal underground since their musical outset in 2013. They have churned out two impressive records: the melodic and somber  “Quiescence” (Candlelight, 2014) and the darker and more complex “Black Drapes For Tomorrow” (Candlelight/Spinefarm, 2017), both of which were highly praised by the worldwide music press.

Shores of Null stands out from its contemporaries with its ability to blend seemingly disparate elements and their ability to sound overwhelmingly heavy and soothing at the same time. Blackened aggression stands alongside gothic-doom sections without either sounding out of place. Their music can be both melancholic yet majestic, made of chorale-like guitar textures across the instrument’s entire range, sustained by a powerful rhythmic section and punctuated by a refined mixture of clean and growled vocals, along with extensive use of pleasing vocal harmonies which have become the band’s trademark through the years.

Shores Of Null has performed over 150 shows, including six European tours (with In The Woods, Ereb Altor, Hooded Menace, Mourning Beloveth, Novembre, Harakiri For The Sky, Sylvaine, and more), dozens of shows and tours in their home country (with Primordial, Arcturus, Candlemass, Moonsorrow, Leprous, Saturnus, Negura Bunget, etc.) and many European Festivals (Inferno Festival, Eindhoven Metal Meeting, Winter Days Of Metal, Doom Over London, Metalitalia Fest, Frantic Fest, and more).

Shores Of Null’s third work, “Beyond The Shores (On Death And Dying),” is expected to be released in November 2020 via Spikerot Records, continuing to prove the band’s willingness to go off the beaten path and create their ultimate doom manifesto, a 38 minute-long suite emphasizing their heavier, slower and dramatic side, inspired by the five stages of grief formulated by the Swiss-American psychiatrist Elisabeth Kübler-Ross. The band has collaborated on the dark opus with many special guests, including two doom-titans, Mikko Kotamäki (Swallow The Sun) and Thomas A.G. Jensen (Saturnus), along with the angelic voice of Elisabetta Marchetti (Inno). The band is able to present an even more diverse and eclectic sound on the album thanks to the addition of classical instruments like piano and violin, along with the return of the talented Marco “Cinghio” Mastrobuono (Hour Of Penance, Fleshgod Apocalypse) behind the production desk.

2020 has been a non-stop rollercoaster of up and downs, from multiple lockdowns to fans and bands unable to enjoy live performances. One thing the era of Covid has produced is enough time to encourage creativity on all fronts. This is where Ricky Butcher of Sons of Butcher fame comes in with his own release of the crassest album of the year “Fuck: The Album”. With the help of his bandmates Doug Borski (bass), Sausage Ralph (drums), and Colin Van Hamsteak (lead guitar), the self-proclaimed “Rock God” Ricky Butcher leads the listener through a nineteen-minute listening experience filled with silly, cathartic, and self-aware fuck songs all inspired by the quarantine of Covid.

The idea for “Fuck: The Album” was simple – write and record a hard-rockin’ comedy homage to the most popular and versatile curse word of our time while there was still government lockdown money to be handed out.

Before the album officially drops on Friday, November 27th, Ricky Butcher has a new music video entitled “Fuck The Shit 2020”, which is being premiered via Bravewords HERE.

Butcher adds:

“Someone had to save this year from being a total wank, these are all hit fuck songs, crack a beer and a weed and listen to the whole fucking thing”

Hamilton, Ontario’s Butcher is no stranger to writing “weird-ass” songs thanks to his time with Sons of Butcher who gained attention through a popular television show and the live band that followed. He had a philosophy in mind when he wrote this debut solo record:

“Fuck the production, fuck the mix, fuck the process, fuck the prudes, and especially fuck the album. Oh, and fuck 2020 too while we’re at it!”

For those who want to enjoy the album in a less offensive way, there is an alternate censored mix of this release with every swear word bleeped, called ‘Bleep: The Album’. It will have a slightly different album cover and the release date is planned for later in the year.

Recommended for fans of Sons of Butcher, Tenacious D, Steel Panther, “Fuck: The Album” will be available on November 27, 2020 on Fuckthe2020.com, Bandcamp (CD), Spotify and Apple Music.

About:
Ricky Butcher is best known as the lead vocalist/guitarist for Sons Of Butcher, a rock-band-turned-cartoon-series that debuted on Canadian national television in 2005. As the Legend goes, music was starting to suck and the chicks were drying up when a thunderous clap of lightning struck the Earth. Just then Ricky Butcher appeared, naked and cold, with a guitar in one hand and a boob in the other. He immediately wrote the Sons Of Butcher hit song “Fuck The Shit”, garnering airplay on The Howard Stern Show and winning an award for “Comedy Song Of The Year” from The Red Peters Comedy Music Hour. Now that he’s had two animated seasons, a live action tour special and six studio albums under his belt with Sons Of Butcher, Ricky has decided to stretch his Gibson Firebird wings and take to the skies for his very first solo album.
