Canada’s Deformatory Unveil Music Video For “Beyond The Abhorrence” Off “Inversion of the Unseen Horizon”

Music Video Premiere via NoCleanSinging

New Album “Inversion of the Unseen Horizon” Out September 3, 2021

Ottawa’s brutal duo Deformatory has crafted a maniacal and unconventional approach to extreme metal that has garnered the devotion of fans worldwide ever since their debut EP “A Prelude Of…” in 2011.

This year, they are releasing their third album “Inversion of the Unseen Horizon”, with a sci-fi concept that picks up where 2016’s “Malediction” left off. Over time, as members joined and left the band, their sound has been reworked and redefined. Deformatory explains further:

“Initially, there were so many different ideas and flavours trying to get crammed into Deformatory that it never felt locked in. It’s safe to say that the new songs, especially for this album, are the closest Deformatory have ever been to truly sounding like itself.”

When asked what fans can expect from Deformatory, they reply:

“No frills. No bullshit. Just straight-up death metal. The goal is to leave people wondering what the hell just happened. A maniacal frenzy.”

The lyrics for this album are partly inspired by “The Scarlet Gospels” by Clive Barker’s and guitarist and vocalist Charlie Leduc’s own interpretation and expansion of the Hellraiser mythos. This is the foundation block that helped to propel the entire concept, which was uniquely crafted and independently developed.  The single and final track on the record, “Beyond The Abhorrence” starts to draw a conclusion to the predicament of an evil race of inter-dimensional light devourers find themselves in.

A sonically relentless death metal experience, Deformatory is recommended for fans of Morbid Angel, Origin, and Hate Eternal.

The music video for “Beyond The Abhorrence”, which was created by Riivata Visuals (who did the recent “Disruptor” music video for Fear Factory) can be viewed via NoCleanSinging HERE.

The album “Inversion of the Unseen Horizon” will be released on September 3, 2021.

About:
Deformatory is a death metal band from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Forming in 2010, they set out to create an extreme sound, fusing together classic influences (Cryptopsy, Morbid Angel, Suffocation, etc.) and their love for modern tech death. The result is a uniquely relentless blend of death metal that can only hail from the Northern hemisphere.

Deformatory independently released their full-length debut, “In The Wake of Pestilence”, in December of 2013. This pummeling 9-track debut has been exceptionally well-received by fans worldwide, and has been cited as being an “outstanding and monstrous debut album. Essential.” (Frank Rini – AllAboutTheRock, ex: Internal Bleeding), and “flawless in every way” (TheBloodShed).

Having shared the stage with bands like Cryptopsy, Napalm Death, Obscura, Beyond Creation, Gorod, Archspire, and Fuck The Facts, Deformatory is more than comfortable delivering their crushing brand of extreme metal to live, screaming, and sweaty audiences.

The band’s sophomore release, “Malediction”, was released worldwide via CDN Records in 2016, with additional singles “Once Upon the Cross” (Deicide cover), and “Myiasis” both in 2018. Since then, DEFORMATORY has been developing their 3rd full-length album entitled “Inversion of the Unseen Horizon” which they plan to unveil in the Fall of 2021 as an independent release.

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – June 21, 2021

Rockshots Records: ILLUSORY Release Music Video For Heroic Rhapsody “Ashes To Dust”

New Album “Crimson Wreath” Out Now!

Greece’s prog power Illusory are sharing their new music video for the heroic rhapsody “Ashes To Dust” in support of their third album “Crimson Wreath” released on May 21st via Rockshots Records. Illustrious actor/director Grigoris Valtinos is the leading man in the story, which exemplifies the essence of a fable across a path walked by the bravest and honored by the scholars of the world. This short film is about an epic manifesto, a darkening day to come and everlasting hope.

“Achilles! The greatest hero in Homer’s Iliad. A human war machine in the flesh. He was the inspiration for this specific song and this is the first time we actually pass the borders of Epic Metal. So much power engaged with melody as it was meant to be. Warriors shouts, battle vibes, seismic rhythm section, twin guitars, screaming high melody notes… and finally a glorious shivering narration from Mr. Grigoris Valtinos, a world-renowned famous Greek theatrical actor and director. It was such a huge honour to have him on board.” adds the band.

The music video for “Ashes To Dust” can be viewed on Rockshots Records YouTube channel – https://youtu.be/coSvxOzuCQA

Having opened for such legendary acts Blue Oyster Cult, Warrel Dane, Geoff Tate, and Gus G, Illusory‘s new album “Crimson Wreath” is the next step in their widely praised evolution to follow 2016’s Polysllabic (7hard/7us) and 2013’s “The Ivory Tower” (The Leaders Records).

Melodic, riffy, cerebral, and complex “Crimson Wreath” is a very emotional and melodic release, yet heavy and strong at the same time. Both new fans and ones who have been listening to the band for years will indulge themselves in this latest offering of classic, progressive, epic, and thrashy performances. Lyrical themes found on “Crimson Wreath” are mostly anti-war, but the full length also includes a thematic unit consisting of three songs that deal with human loss.

“The band is thrilled! When we look back, from the first minute to the last one, from the moment we pressed record on the very first drum takes to the album wrap-up, we can’t stop thinking about all the things we set and done during those long hours of arranging every little album detail. “Crimson Wreath” has become a member of our discography and our most recent brainchild. And we are totally proud of it!”

EPK – Crnkshft – Innocence (single) (2021)

Publicist – Jon Asher – jon[@]ashermediarelations.com

For fans of 5FDP, Breaking Benjamin, Bad Wolves, Alter Bridge, Stone Sour

“Innocence is the first in a series of singles that CRNKSHFT will be releasing in an attempt to gain radio traction before committing to a full-length record. The song itself taps into the idea that in a world of cancel culture no one is truly innocent and harps on this fact by asking people, “Are we all so innocent?”.” – Crnkshft

“For those that like their music fast and powerful, this is the appetizer for you. It’s all kinds of mad power…an epic little album from a band that is close to conquering the universe or at the very least, close to setting it aflame.” – 925 Rebellion

“Opener “Systematic” will testify to this with punchy and growling riffs and equally growling vocals. which somewhat draw you in and immediately your foots a tapping and your head is banging, as the air guitar sits proudly on your lap as you “Systematic” scream and roar to the vocals, which if you listen closer also have a story to tell.” – We Rock Webzine

“Oh yeah, this is like the music that appears in my dreams; along with a lot of other genres, however, this raucous, heavy, bone-shaking madness is top of the list and first track “Systematic” just does the trick! It wraps its harsh melodies around your head never mind your ears and weaves its own turmoil. It’s catchy and solid and to be honest a track that should carry a warning of being very addictive as your fingers reach for the replay button yet again, to bask in its extreme pleasure bound twists that lock into your head and won’t leave you alone for a second…For an EP this has four very powerful tracks attached to it and demands your attention; Do yourself a favour and listen!” – Ram Zine

“Their sound gets the feet tapping, the head banging and it is easy to sing along to the choruses.” – Sentinel Daily

“CRNKSHFT’s forthcoming release sells me on the group’s ultimate potential. I look forward to hearing what else this Canadian band can do.” – Heavy Metal Time Machine

“Stomping drop tuned leads, soaring vocals and hard-charging grooves litter the lead single, a formula that pays off in spades on the riff-tacular “Tears Me Apart”” – Get Exposed Music

“these guys have a running start to the hard rock scene, and if their message and sound stays in their current vein, there’s no denying that this band will put a crankshaft kick-start to this year’s list of burgeoning, fantastic new artists” – Shockwave Mag

“We surely have a soft spot for things carrying real punch and that is exactly what the new self-titled EP from Canadian outfit CRNKSHFT has in sound and presence. The four track offering is an imposing roar of hungry and varied metal but equally shows a blaze of hard and melodic rock n’ roll, a trait even more compelling in the successor to their previous well-received debut EP helping stir up a very healthy appetite for the band’s fierce and rousing attack.” – The RingMaster Review

“the four tracks are full of grunge influences and a killer metal delirium that will capture your heart ,and ignite your mind. “Systematic” kicks the release off in fine style ,with its bludgeoning , punishing riffs its easy to see why this was the band’s first single, the lead guitars strings are flayed as the guys will have you banging your head and bouncing around the room this is a stylistic killer opener.” – The Metal Meltdown

“Though the album is short, I found myself repeating it numerous times and jamming out each time. I highly recommend it if you’re a fan of punk, metal, hardcore or any heavy genre. There is a bit for everyone in it. I guarantee you will be screaming, drumming and playing your air guitar to it. The guys are not going to be stopping anytime soon.” – Canadian Beats

“This concise, compact and charismatic EP brings the fire immediately as it channels the essence of Hard Rock into CRNKSHFT’s opening song, “Systematic”…a marvelous release which excels in many areas including drive, determination, dominance and general brilliance. CRNKSHFT will surely prove to be a valuable name for Rock in the future if they can advance on the progress made by this EP.”  – AC Rock Reviews

“Wow wow WOW!!!!!!!This is amazing!!!! What a great track! It just ripped my face off! – Sylvia Massy (producer for Tool, System Of A Down, Red Hot Chili Peppers)

“I have always said I wish I had “one of those tracks” under my belt. You know, the track that you could play for really anybody; a kid, a peer, a heavy musician, a producer, someone whom you’d like to impress for whatever reason, anybody… that is the track for me. Great writing, tons of energy, unapologetic, dynamics, intent, world class production, all parts are so strong, title and guitar hook so memorable.” – Tony Ferraro (drummer for Trooper, Fear Zero,) about the Single “Systematic”

“Great band ! Sounds pretty heavy. Intro riff is killer” – Cory Churko (guitar player for kelly Clarkson, Shania Twain) about the Single “Systematic”

“You Guys are the first real band I have seen in three years, when you came on stage I was like, F*** ya, you guys are a band”… When I approach a label they ask me ‘are these guys stars?’,  I’m going to tell them these guys are stars.”
– Tommy Mac (Bass Player for Hedley/BigFatScratch/Flybanger/Everything After)

L-R – Geoff Way – Guitar, Andrew Wishart – Drums, Shane Jolie – Vocals, Eric Jolicoeur – Bass

CRNKSHFT is an explosive band composed of five musicians from Vancouver, Canada. The band is setting the scene ablaze with its explosive, drop-tune aggression with melody at its core.

Influenced by bands like Alice In Chains, Pantera, Metallica, Nirvana and Godsmack, CRNKSHFT have carved out a sound in the vein of Five Finger Death Punch, Shinedown, Breaking Benjamin, and Alexisonfire, that gives them a refreshing sound that’s forges these genres together. Their riffs are designed to get your blood pulsing, their dynamics get your fist-pumping, and the melody keeps you singing along.

Since the band’s formation in 2015, CRNKSHFT’s engine has been firing on all cylinders with their debut EP ‘Hard F***ing Rock’ released in 2015 plus being tapped as local support for such touring bands as Prong, Grim Reaper, Lordi and The Veer Union. The wrecking crew then unleashed their self-titled EP in August 2017 produced by Darren Grahn (Metallica, Motley Crue, Bon Jovi) which allowed the formation to embark on a tour that took the 5 members from Vancouver to Montreal.

CRNKSHFT has been Nominated for Break Out West – Hard Rock Band of the year 2018, and then started working on new material. which lead to the recording process of the new single Innocence, which was mixed and mastered by Kane Churko (Papa Roach, Five Finger Death Punch).

“The opening track “Pestilence of Man” already gives a great impression of what you’ll get here: mind blowing death metal with a high, technical precision. The rhythmic is razor-sharp and hard-hitting, showing no mercy in pushing the songs forward. Pounding riffs add more aggression to the music, so do the powerful growled, sometimes screamed vocals. But with all brutality coming out of the speakers, there is still a melody into their music, which is delivered by the guitars.”

If there’s anything guaranteed in life beyond death and taxes, it’d be living through one-too-many panic attacks. Saskatoon hard rock band Saintvicious reflects on their personal experiences dealing with anxiety on their latest single, “Stranglehold”.

Supported by metalcore-inspired instrumentals and layered vocal delivery, the track’s visually dense lyrics personify anxiety as a separate entity that is given every sacrifice that it asks for, but it’s never enough.

“Some days it’s hard to want to leave your bed,” guitarist Ryan Kimmerly explains, “There are those times where you just think ‘What if-’ about every possible thing that could go wrong. And does it ever turn out to be this worst-case scenario that you’ve spent so much time hashing out? Usually not, but anxiety’s like that, right?”

Ryan continues, “By the time you get to whatever you’ve been obsessing over, you just end up looking for something wrong to prove those ideas in your mind right when really, it’s exactly that – it’s all in your head.”

“Stranglehold” will be available to stream as of Friday, June 18 on Spotify, Apple Music, and all other streaming platforms at https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/saintvicious/stranglehold

About:
There’s no denying that the sonic brash of Canadian five-piece Saintvicious lives up to the latter half of their name. With snarling riffs cranked between catchy vocals and tight rhythms, the Saskatoon outfit is an exhibit of hard rock – with all its bruises and attitude.

With a prolific start in the band’s infancy – from performing alongside major artists like Pop Evil and Royal Tusk, to their debut album being placed as one of the Top 10 Saskatchewan Albums of 2020 – Saintvicious is on-sight to grow into the forefront of Canadian hard rock.

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – June 18, 2021

For fans of Helloween, Joe Satriani, Dream Theater

Rockshots Records: Out Now! TRITON DEVS’ New Album “Stay Alive”

Out now, as of June 18th, Rockshots Records present Triton Dev‘s new album “Stay Alive”. The band is the creation of composer/guitarist/sound engineer Blacky Lee Stone, aiming to embark on a new musical project to signify a rebirth of the world after this tragic past year and unexpected period spent in lockdown. Collaborating with vocalist Eric Castiglia, drummer Zamkenoby, bassist Anna Portalupi (Hardline, Tarja Turunen), and internationally renowned drummer Mike Terrana (Yngwie Malmsteen, Rage, Tarja Turunen, Axel Rudi Pell). The collective of musicians has created an energetic 10 track full length influenced by elements of classic heavy metal, hard and progressive rock.

Blacky Lee Stone comments:

“My favorite metal genres are speed metal, hard rock, and progressive, but as a musician, I think that if a song is beautiful, interesting and played well, it is regardless of the musical genre. That said, this album embodies that thought, despite having a decidedly metal imprint, each track is contaminated by different micro musical influences that make each track different from the other by exploring many nuances of the genre played as a whole. A direct and melodic album with songs that are not excessively complicated but which suggests the skill of the musicians themselves.”

For its release day, Triton Dev is sharing a visualizer for the album’s closing track “Metallus” – https://youtu.be/DmxYXfbtVTw

“A speed metal song for an epic story that tells of the adventures of Metallus… the superhero of the band. Using the most powerful weapon of Olympus, the “TRITON DEVS” defeats its opponents by making itself justice.”

EP Stream Premiere via Slam Worldwide

New EP “Aspect of Creation” Out June 18th, 2021

Vancouver’s Param-Nesia are unleashing their new EP “Aspect of Creation” unto the world and listeners are invited to check out the full stream right now via its premiere on Slam Worldwide’s YouTube channel – https://youtu.be/Gk799etA3x8

Compared to the first EP “The Beginning” (2019), this new offering is a big step up in production and quality and will definitely get listeners rowdy. The band explains in more detail:

“It is more focused and balanced in its direction. The overall sound isn’t one specific thing. Some songs have a more melodic, triumphant vibe, while others a more somber, slower groove. But that’s the fun part, each one is a testament to the moment it was conceived, and a reflection of the evolving musical inspirations of each band member at that time.”

They go on to share that there have been lineup changes in the last couple of years and a new dynamic bloomed. They are confident that the current lineup will take the band far, releasing more music and touring as soon as they are able. Meshing melody and brutality, they tell wild tales intended to take the listener on a journey.

The five-track EP is groovy and captivating and each song flows from one to the next. The band remarks that guitarist Andy Cahalin is the primary songwriter, but all members have input in the final work. Lyrically, the music inspires certain words to fit the mood of the music, and a couple of songs have been written from an emotional experience, with lyrics later being distilled to speak about that.

Any discerning metalhead who enjoys tech death and melody will find Param-Nesia of interest, especially those with a liking for At the Gates, Arch Enemy and Revocation.

“Aspect of Creation” comes out June 18, 2021.

“Aspect of Creation” is exactly that Death Metal that Chuck Schuldiner would have wished for in 2021.” – Stormbringer

“Aspect of Creation is a powerful slab of melodeath that takes listeners on a sonic journey.” – Noob Heavy

“Melodic riffs permeate the record and the group displays great rhythmic precision. I have a soft spot for guitarists that give their picking hands and rhythm-brain a work out with their riffs. Opening track “Pestilence of Man” is chock full of this variety of riffage. There’s tight gallops everywhere and some tasty guitar harmonies at just the right moments.’ – Noob Heavy

“Taking you on a journey with a diverse mix of subgenres ranging from Melodic Death Metal, Thrash, Metalcore and Prog Rock, Param Nesia showcase their sound with a beautiful yet melodic soundscape, spiced up with atmospheric overtures.” – Stargazer Music Magazine

“The five tracks of this new Ep are a good mix of melodic riffs and a remarkable technical death metal, which give the listener a considerable sonic impact. A heart-pounding start with “Pestilence”, where power and energy are the two details that make this open track truly devastating.” – Music Webzine

“The vocalist definitely has some The Black Dahlia Murder ish kind of vocals so I definitely dig that, and the other musical elements definitely pull together for a bit of a unique take on modern death/thrash metal.” – Zrockr Magazine

“A work with an exceptional sample of technique, speed and strength, with great guitar solos and high-quality instrumental moments. A style that at times reminded me of the great Allegaeon and their characteristic pauses.” – Riff of Metal
