Summoner’s Circle will be unleashing their third full-length “Chaos Vector” on August 27th via Blood Blast Distribution. The band recently shared the album’s title track as the first single with a music video to support its upcoming release.

Today, they are teaming up with GearGods to premiere the song’s guitar playthrough, which can be viewed HERE.

The single was intentionally written as a shorter song because they needed an extra short track for their set on the 2019 Hexed Tour with Children of Bodom. It was well-received on tour and they felt the chaotic nature and strong hook made it an obvious choice as the first single for the album. They continue to explain:

“Given the worldly turmoil of 2020, Chaos Vector seemed apropos to choose as the title track of the album. The drums for this song were originally written by Yanic Bercier of Gone in April and Quo Vadis and were performed on this album by our current drummer, Invictus, who still performs the original Bercier beats. Yanic also appears in the music video as the drummer for this song. Chaos Vector tells the story of a man who has been driven mad through his practices in the occult. And while he tries tirelessly to warn others of the impending doom he wrought upon this world; he is only perceived as a madman sounding off.”

The music video for “Chaos Vector” can be viewed at https://youtu.be/hTM_g0dubI8

Summoner’s Circle‘s latest album “Chaos Vector” was conceived over two years ago, but the global turmoil slowed down its creation. Now that it is ready for release, the band couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. They are eager to share with fans their love of storytelling and cosmic horror in a concept album that vocalist Blind has been percolating since their formation in 2015. They say that they have scratched every creative itch with this record, and hope fans get the same satisfaction from it.

“Chaos Vector” was recorded by Yanic Bercier (Gone in April, Quo Vadis) at Wavetransform Studios in Knoxville, USA. The album will include a Lovecraft-style cosmic horror short story written by the band where each chapter correlates to a song. This story marks a new chapter in The Lore of The Six and sets a foundation for them conceptually moving forward.

Dark and haunting, Summoner’s Circle is recommended for fans of Dimmu Borgir, Behemoth and Immortal.

About:
“Let the Summoning Begin…”
Summoner’s Circle is a six-piece theatrical metal band that blends elements of doom, death, black and progressive metal into what they refer to as simply Epic Metal.

For the band, every song in an incantation, every live performance is a Summoning, and everything they do is tied intrinsically to the mythology, or lore, they have created. The lore tells the story of the band’s origins, battles of divine conquest and showcases their creativity and vision, which sets the stage for a very entertaining live performance where bigger is better, and Epic is always the standard.

The Summoners released their first EP, entitled First Summoning, in late 2015. This was followed in 2016 by the single, Become None, and its B-side, Minotaur, both of which are included on their debut full-length release entitled Tome, which was released in June of 2018.

In May of 2019, Tome was repackaged and released as Become None via the Pavement Entertainment label.

In the spring of 2019, Summoner’s Circle joined Children of Bodom, Swallow the Sun and Wolfheart as part of Bodom’s Hexed North American Tour, gaining many new fans and excellent reviews.

In June of 2019, the Six signed a worldwide management deal with Extreme Management Group, Inc. who also manages Suffocation, Cattle Decapitation, Misery Index and many others.

Summoner’s Circle’s second full-length album Chaos Vector is scheduled to be released in 2021 and will be accompanied by a Lovecraft-style cosmic horror short story written by the band. Each song is a chapter in the story.

“Summoners’ Circle have the whole package. Their songs are original and memorable, beautifully written, and hook the listener after the first listening. They have a great stage presence, and the theatricality and imagery of their live performances keep the fans talking about their experience way beyond the day of the show. I am honored to work on the production of their upcoming album.” – Yanic Bercier, Ph.D | Endorser of Yamaha Drums, Sabian, Vic Firth, Evans, AKG, RME, True-Systems, Engl, Ddrum

“Hooked the first time I saw this band play! No two shows are the same and I’m always left wanting more.  It’s what music and show should be!” – Lee Abney | Pentagram/Place of Skulls

“These guys are serious about what they do and the costumes and imagery match the grandiose sound they produce.” No Clean Singing

“SUMMONER’S CIRCLE’s full-length debut gets near the 75-minute mark, and yet it succeeds in balancing complexity, heaviness, catchiness, mystery and melodrama to make sure its duration does not become overwhelming. an almost perfect record …especially its flawless production and its tight, inventive songwriting.” – Metal Temple

“Summoner’s Circle is the kind of band you go your whole life hoping to hear and when you finally do it’s even better than you expected. They are the culmination of a lifetime spent listening to music and finally finding something that fits where nothing else has. Plus, brutality aside, they’re just a fantastic group of otherworldly beings.” – Josh Martin 94.3 WNFZ

“Heathenheart” is the second album from Canada’s Hexenklad (ft. members of SIG:AR:TYR, Eclipse Eternal, Pagan Ritual), and it shows a notable evolution over 2017’s “Spirit of the Stone”. This is primarily due to an almost complete lineup change wherein all the members had an active part in composing the music. Vocalist Timothy Johnston explains further:

“This album was written very differently than the first album which was mostly written by Hexenklad’s founder Michael Grund. It was very organic and the songs just grew together. Guitar parts were written first by both Michael and John with a few ideas put in by myself. Then drums were added by Andrew. Once those were all down and arranged, and then rearranged until everything flowed and made sense, then I let the melodies tell me what the songs were about and wrote the lyrics. Once we had the guitars, drums and vocal parts recorded, then the keyboards and bass were added.”

Johnston continues to explain that it was not difficult to pick the tracks that would be used as they were the ones that spoke to them immediately. Often, they would go through many alterations before being used, but they never abandoned a song that spoke to us.

The 13 track album has something for everyone, from the chilling, black metal “Cold Beauty of Winter”, to the mid-tempo headbanger “Dark Moon in Capricorn”, to the instrumental ”A Forest of Dead Trees” to the acoustic “We Raise a Horn”. This variance makes Hexenklad shine, their versatility is a true display of their talent and passion.

Hexenklad has a very distinct chemistry which is only amplified by years of experience in music. Almost everyone in the band comes from another band in the Ontario metal scene including Eclipse Eternal, Pagan Ritual, Battlesoul and Of Hatred Spawn. The album also features several local guests including Emmanuel “Audeath” Audet (Black Empire/Winterfog); Nick Sauter (Treats for Addicts) and Alex Chalmers.

Those who enjoy both folk and black metal, who are looking for something unique and have an open mind, will find much in this album, especially those interested in Insomnium, Windir and Moonsorrow.

“Heathenheart” will be released on July 23, 2021 via CDN Records, but can be heard in advance via its full stream premiere on Black Metal Promotion’s YouTube channel HERE.

Montreal, QC – July 21, 2021

Canada’s CroMagnum Come Ripping Out The Primordial Ooze With “Tunguska” Off Upcoming EP “Born Free”

New EP “Born Free” Out Sept 17th, 2021 via King Metal Records

CroMagnum Current Line Up: L-R – Maximus Rex: Guitar, Vocals, Keyboards – Gino LaPosta: Bass

Years in the making, Montreal’s CroMagnum recently released their first single with the music video “Tunguska” from their upcoming EP “Born Free”. According to the band, this EP is more involved than the last, with a second guitar and more refinement in the melody. The music video for the single shows that CroMagnum is bringing the same power riffage and dirt, as the band explains in their own words:

“The song “Tunguska” mirrors the blazing atmospheric entry of this song’s subject, the mysterious space object that fell to Earth in the northern tundra of Russia over a hundred years ago! Musically, an absolute monolithic blitzkrieg of searing riffs thrown at you at breakneck speed! No time to even take a breath!”

The five-track EP delivers thundering waves of primordial power and aims to give listeners a feeling of empowerment, an interesting variety of dynamics across the whole record, a few unexpected surprises, something original that stands out from other releases in the genre.

The musical production on the video was supplied by Alain Londero and it was filmed by one-woman film crew Maude Baillargeon. If the music video and the song aren’t enough for fans, Maximus Rex has also written and illustrated a comic book that shares a title with the EP.

All out pandemonium awaits! CroMagnum is recommended for fans of Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, and Judas Priest.

The video for “Tunguska” can be viewed on YouTube – https://youtu.be/e3hnTgjnmRQ

About:

Born of the frosty bowels of Montreal, Quebec, Canada comes CroMagnum, heavy metal from a simpler time. Brutal and unforgiving. Thoughtful and visionary. A forced juxtaposition that leads to an intense listening experience.

CroMagnum started when Maximus Rex and the original drummer parted ways with their previous band with an aim to keep it simple, heavy as fuck and stay as a three-piece. Since then, CroMagnum has evolved into its current form as the main duo of Maximus Rex on guitar and vocals, Gino LaPosta on bass.

With two EPs under their belts, 2014’s self-titled initial release and now 2021’s “Born Free”, CroMagnum embodies the human race’s struggle to climb out of the primordial ooze toward its future ascension to godhood. Lyrical content flows from anger, frustration, history, politics, government corruption, legends, and philosophy, complete with soaring melodies and punishing riffs.

Mythology. Tradition. Evolution. The beginning. The end. CroMagnum.

Montreal, QC – July 21, 2021

For fans of Venom, Immortal, Celtic Frost, Darkthrone, Satyricon

Newfoundland Black Metal Duo Artach Lyric Video “Tuiteam an Duine” Off New Album “Sworn to Avenge”

Video Premiere via ThisIsBlackMetal

New Album “Sworn to Avenge” Out Now! via Depressive Illusions Records

Coming from the coldest, windiest, snowiest, and foggiest city in Canada, St. John’s, Newfoundland’s Artach is heavily influenced by nature and even takes after the bleak climate they are surrounded by. The result of months of winter provides inspiration for their raw, epic black metal that is in their new album “Sworn to Avenge”, which was recently unleashed this past June via Depressive Illusions Records.

Today the band presents their latest lyric video for their opening track “Tuiteam an Duine” via its premiere on ThisIsBlackMetal‘s YouTube channel HERE.

The band adds about the song:

“This one kicks off the album, it’s immediate. It blasts then calms, the savagery, then the relative calmness. We wanted to have an opener that was somewhat in line with the opener on our debut, which is an often mentioned favourite from the first album. The song lyrics are about how humankind overall views themselves atop the food and intelligence chain. We are not. And this will be our undoing. We didn’t want the lyrics to be preachy so the ideas are not meant to pound you over the head totally. The title “Tuiteam an Duine” translates to the fall of man.”

“Sworn to Avenge” is the second album from Artach, following up 2020’s “Chronicles of a Black Winter”. Fans can expect more of the same compared to the first, but it pushes the envelope a little bit. Artach embraces evolution and aspire to play tighter, and have a more professional sound, but never sound overly polished.

Artach’s process is a collaborative one between the duo, the genesis of the songs are arranged on guitar by Sruthán and very roughly recorded at home. After getting together, they record drums and flesh out the song in an afternoon and by then the song is pretty much ready for the studio recording of guitars, then bass, and lastly vocals.

Artach is recommended listening for anyone interested in raw black metal and those with an interest in Celtic Frost, Darkthrone, and Satyricon.

“Sworn to Avenge” is available via Depressive Illusions at the following links: DepressiveIllusions.com, Artach.bandcamp.com, Amazon, Spotify.

About:
Artach is a two-man black metal band (Sruthán: Guitar/Bass, Fíochmhar: Battery/Vokills/Keys)based in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada. Being from the foggiest, snowiest, wettest, windiest, and gloomiest capital city in Canada, one should not be surprised that this fuels the creation of Black Metal. Their inspiration comes from the land, nature, the bleak weather of the Canadian North, and influential black metal bands.

Since the duo’s formation in the spring of 2019, Artach has been consistently releasing new music. The band’s debut album “Chronicles of a Black Winter” was released digitally during February 2020 and later unleashed on physical CD by Depressive Illusions Records. The full length contained 9 songs of extreme, harsh, and haunting sounds, which included a cover of Celtic Frost’s ‘Jewel Throne’.

Now in 2021, the band returns with their next offering “Sworn To Avenge”, a full-length scourge of raw and relentless bruting gloom. From the calming blasts and savagery of album opener “Tuiteam an Duine” to the ingrained black metal blast beats, and headbanging riffage on “Shimmer” to the 20-minute exploration for the epic “Endless Tundra” about the doomed Franklin expedition of 1846 to the Immortal-esque riffing and unorthodox exorcism of album closer “Winter’s End”, Artach delivers a 65-minute cold deliverance of their surroundings.

The band adds:

“The music on ‘Sworn To Avenge’ is a frigid mixture of topics about nature and how it meets and interacts with the darkness of humankind. The desolation of the world, the planet, and the repeated failure of society to evolve to a place where we are a part of nature and not brutish subjugators of everything in our path… these are all themes described throughout many songs. The music is angry, savage, unhinged, but contains melody and some twists and turns to surprise the listener. Varied song tempos mixing blasting with thrashy, punky, doomy elements keep the sounds interesting and not monotone. Song structures often vary and we never limit a song to a certain length. We indulge and have them be as long, or as short as we think feels right.”

“Sworn To Avenge” will be available digitally from Artach along with CD and cassette via Depressive Illusions Records on June 25, 2021.

– 30 –

“The song (She Gathers Leaves) is a thrill-ride, but also reveals elements of gothic witchiness. The raw vocals are caught up in a paroxysm of fierce, crazed adoration, venting cold-blooded roars as well as braying, throat-stripping howls and cut-throat screams. The full-throttle drumming is tumultuous, a changing array that hammers, gallops, rocks, thunders, and blasts. Urgently rising chords provide a recurring theme, surrounded by flame-throwing riffs that dart, pulsate, and spasm, drawing on elements of thrash and classic heavy metal as well as black metal. Ecstatically swirling leads further add to the wildness of the song. A mood of mystery does surface in the track’s brief intro, and that mood surfaces again in the song’s back half, leading into a necromantic guitar solo that takes flight in scintillating fashion.” – No Clean Singing

“check out Artach for a truly epic journey into the wildernesses that populate the dark fantasy land conjured through their excellent music. This sophomore album tells me that this is a band that will be releasing much good material for years to come and will soon be headlining the epic black metal stages or charts both online and at festivals. An excellent job all round.” – Metal Rules

“”Sworn to Avenge is a mind-assaulting record… You’ll hear the influences of classic black metal bands like Venom, early-Bathory as well as elements of the second wave; Immortal, Darkthrone etc. Ugly and uninviting stuff but very satisfying if you enjoy the gloomier side of metal… It’s a mammoth listen and does take its toll, but the array of ideas that Artach showcase does keep things interesting. An hour slips by, the cold has sunk deep into the bones and you’ll be left wondering if you’ll ever be warm again.” – Games, Brrraaains And A Head-Banging Life

“Very melodic black metal, yet aggressive and heavy with undeniable influences from plain old straightforward heavy metal, so while things are definitely “black metal”, there’s a lot of discipline at play and this is definitely not your average raw, chaotic black metal. There’s order to the chaos on Sworn to Avenge, but that doesn’t prevent it from being aggressive and sometimes kind of depressing and melancholic despite not descending into the slower playing usually associated with those stylings. It’s a rollercoaster of “fuck yeah!” and “kill me now” (in sort of a good way).” – The Metal Crypt

“Now for some blackened thrash from Canada’s Artach, a band with an unusual take on the genre and a very unique sound. The good news is that if you’re a thrash fan you’re going to like this album. The even better news is that if you’re a blackened thrash fan you’re going to love this album. All of your favourite elements are present, plenty of riffs, a great blend between groove, rawness and aggression and raw, high energy vocals. There is something for everyone here which is why I can see the album having a broad appeal.” – Cavedweller Music

Deformatory Continues To Entrap Listeners With Single “Impaled Upon The Carrionspire” ft. Jon Levasseur (ex-Cryptopsy)

Music Video Premiere via MetalInjection

New Album “Inversion of the Unseen Horizon” Out September 3, 2021

Rising from the depths of the capital of Canada, Ottawa’s Deformatory has played countless shows across Ontario and Quebec as a headlining act to be reckoned with. Known for being tight and brutal, Deformatory now exists as a duo and they are releasing a new album this year, “Inversion of the Unseen Horizon”.

With this album, and the previous (“Malediction”), Deformatory has been exploring an inter-dimensional civilization that has a unilateral mission to consume all light throughout the cosmos. Their latest single “Impaled Upon The Carrionspire” features Jon Levasseur (ex-Cryptopsy) and details the frenzy and mayhem as these cosmic devourers descend upon a life-star, as the band shares:

“The horde is unleashed, devouring all forms of life. The display is macabre, and the Cenaxors feed off the fear and energy of a slow, painful death. This describes the scene through the eyes of one who is hiding in the rubble, hoping not to be found…”

The chaotic barrage that Deformatory brings forth comes from a very organic writing process. There are no click tracks or Guitar Pro files here, just jamming and improvisation until something clicks.

The high contrast, striking video work is recommended for fans of Origin, Hate Eternal, and Cryptopsy.

The music video for “Impaled Upon The Carrionspire” (ft. Jon Levasseur (ex-Cryptopsy)) can be viewed via its premiere on MetalInjection HERE.

The album “Inversion of the Unseen Horizon” will be released on September 3, 2021.

Deformatory is a death metal band from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Forming in 2010, they set out to create an extreme sound, fusing together classic influences (Cryptopsy, Morbid Angel, Suffocation, etc.) and their love for modern tech death. The result is a uniquely relentless blend of death metal that can only hail from the Northern hemisphere.

Deformatory independently released their full-length debut, “In The Wake of Pestilence”, in December of 2013. This pummeling 9-track debut has been exceptionally well-received by fans worldwide, and has been cited as being an “outstanding and monstrous debut album. Essential.” (Frank Rini – AllAboutTheRock, ex: Internal Bleeding), and “flawless in every way” (TheBloodShed).

Having shared the stage with bands like Cryptopsy, Napalm Death, Obscura, Beyond Creation, Gorod, Archspire, and Fuck The Facts, Deformatory is more than comfortable delivering their crushing brand of extreme metal to live, screaming, and sweaty audiences.

The band’s sophomore release, “Malediction”, was released worldwide via CDN Records in 2016, with additional singles “Once Upon the Cross” (Deicide cover), and “Myiasis” both in 2018. Since then, DEFORMATORY has been developing their 3rd full-length album entitled “Inversion of the Unseen Horizon” which they plan to unveil in the Fall of 2021 as an independent release.

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – July 20, 2021

For fans of Eluveitie, Korpiklaani, Alestorm

Rockshots Records: Sound The Drums! Italian Symphonic Folk Metal AEXYLIUM First Single “The Bridge” Off Upcoming New Album “The Fifth Season”

New Album “The Fifth Season” Out October 29th

Italian symphonic folk metallers Aexylium are sharing their first single “The Bridge” from their forthcoming album “The Fifth Season” due out October 29th, 2021 via Rockshots Records.

The opening track of the full length, “The Bridge” is an instant war call, a powerful rush of drums, symphonic speed, and heaviness to immediately convey this clan’s followers ready for battle.

The lyric video for “The Bridge” can be viewed and heard on Rockshots Records‘ YouTube channel – https://youtu.be/jyssCoDi9jo

Digital download and stream on the following platforms:
Spotify – https://spoti.fi/36M35fX
Apple Music – https://apple.co/3xMU6Hc

Mixing traditional folk instruments (Flute, Violin, Bouzouki) with the modern symphonic metal, Aexylium‘s sophomore full length follows 2018’s “Tales From This Land” (Underground Symphony Records) and their 2016 self-produced EP “The Blind Crow“. “Tales From This Land” has had over 110k streams on Spotify along with its powerful single “Revive the Village’ placing on the top 200 metal song charts in Germany on Apple Music. Aexylium has also released fan-praised covers of Game of Thrones and Vikings main themes with reinterpreted folk metal sounds.

Since their inception in 2014, the Varese, Italy band has performed at renowned festivals in Europe such as Dumeltica International Music Festival, Montelago Celtic Festival, Malpaga Folk & Metal, Rock Inn Somma, Druidia and Strigarium along with sharing the stage with Elvenking, Wind Rose, Nervosa, Furor Gallico, Temperance and more. In August 2020, despite Covid restrictions, Aexylium was chosen by the city of Milan to perform at the historical Castello Sforzesco.

Their new album “The Fifth Season” is a concrete step towards growth and musical maturity with its offering of festive ballads, tighter riffs, advanced orchestrations and heavier dark songs that are all inspired by Norse Mythology. The record also features guest vocals from Samuele Faulisi (Atlas Pain), Arianna Bellinaso and the members of Coro Facoltà di Musicologia Vocal Ensemble. The album was recorded at Twilight Studio by Davide Tavecchia with the artwork done by Jan Yrlund of Darkgrove Design (Manowar, Testament, Korpiklaani.

The band adds:

“This work is the result of different approaches toward music, and different interests between the members of the band. For example, “An Damhsa Mór” – one of our completely acoustic pieces – reflects the interest of our flutist for Irish tradition and Gaeilge, while “Yggrdasil” is obviously a reference to Norse mythology, which our singer is passionate about. The title track is dedicated to something we would prefer to avoid, but, on the contrary, since the world we are facing is showing its environmental and social limits, the song “The Fifth Season” seems to express all our doubts and anxieties toward the future.”

“The Fifth Season” is due out October 29, 2021 via Rockshots Records and is available for pre-order at the following links:

“The experience of hearing ‘Tales from this Land’ is a wonderful voyage through time and music at the same time” – Metal Temple (9/10)

“They just need to keep honing the direction, it’s on the right track for sure! I’m not even a big fan of folk metal, but I just became a fan of Aexylium!” – BucketList (9/10)

“A significantly well done, fun and excellent debut album if you love this genre of music” – Metalwave (80/100)

“‘Tales from this Land’ is not afraid of foreign competition and shows, together with a handful of CDs released in recent months, great talent” – Mister Folk (8/10)

“The first song of their concert is unmistakable for those who have followed this TV series, I’m obviously talking about ‘Game of Thrones’ and is welcomed by an ovation from the crowd, that is getting bigger under the stage … They are eight on the stage and the energy they spread is perceived and celebrated several times by the horn sounds among the crowd” – Malpaga 2016 live report by Metalpit

“Aexylium from Varese, a band that I personally had never listened live and that turned out to be a pleasant discovery … The crowd is jumping, and even though their show is at the hottest time of the day, the audience for them is consistent, and it is undeniable that they appreciate the exhibition” – Malpaga 2016 by Suoni Distorti Magazine

Scattered Storm (ft. members Pissing Razors) Draw Listeners In With “Under The Fire” Off Debut EP “Oblivion”

Video Premiere via NewFuryMedia

Debut EP “Oblivion” Out Now via Blood Blast Distribution

The Texas supergroup Scattered Storm released their debut EP “Oblivion” earlier this July. To complement that release, they have a new lyric video for the track “Under The Fire”.

The politically-charged single lyrically touches upon a recent shooting by a racist that happened in the band’s hometown of El Paso. They share more details about the musical work on the track:

“Musically it began with Jay using an eight-string to create syncopated riffs that melted into a steady groove of legato slides on the guitar. Then transitioning to machine riffs to Mediterranean landscapes in the middle with climaxing vocals making a segway to the ethereal brutal ending.”

The band expects a good reception to this initial offering, due to the catchy hooks and memorable vocals. The song has enough passages to keep the listener interested, plus the lyrics have some meaty social and fantasy content that pairs up well with the sonic landscape they have created musically.

Scattered Storm has contrived futuristic heavy music with a lot of ambiences, and while this EP itself is not a concept record, the content combines well with each other. The tracks flow well from one to the other creating a nice passage to the end.

The lyric video for “Under The Fire” can be seen and heard via its premiere on NewFuryMedia HERE.

The EP “Oblivion” is available now on all digital platforms via Blood Blast Distribution – Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon.

About:
Scattered Storm hails from El Paso, Texas, USA and is a state supergroup comprised of seasoned musicians Andre Acosta and Ed Razor from Pissing Razors fame with band founders Jay Arriaga (No Life on Earth, Years of Cold), and Kevin Armstrong (Mondoshawan, Section 6). Their music is very dark, futuristic and heavy, but also has a lot of ambience.

Formed in 2019, the band has been polishing itself since and decided on an ultimate direction to go in. From the beginning, there was a very clear understanding of every detail they wanted to incorporate. From the very tuning of the 7 and 8 string guitars and the very specific tonality, they produce the ambience provided by the keyboards to layers and layers of vocals to really convey Acosta’s sound. This is all finished off with the main focus, that catchy riff and rhythm to have the songs stay on people’s minds and headbanging of course. Gotta have headbanging.

A Scattered Storm song begins with Arriaga and Armstrong exchanging riffs, with an emphasis on a technicality, but never losing the groove. After the song is polished, it goes to Acosta who applies the fantastic to the real world through the vocals.

When Scattered Storm hits the stage, the audience can expect a combination of the primal vs the futuristic as described in the lyrics and song title names. In the summer of 2021, they are unleashing their debut EP “Oblivion” via Blood Blast Distribution powered by Nuclear Blast.

EP Title: Born Free

“A call to arms to exercise your freedom as assertively and aggressively as you can!!! Born Free is the soundtrack to a revolution in ideas and human thinking!!! It should pump you all the way up and encourage you to kick some ass, no matter what your goals, no matter what you choose to do!” – CroMagnum

Comic Book Order – Facebook.com/ThisSearchForAUserNameIsInfuriating

“From the opening intro “End Your Slavery” into the title track song “Born Free”, “Waterval Boven”, “Tunguska” and lastly “Congregation”. Every song has a powerful message, and that message is delivered with even more powerful heavy metal riffs. There is no messing around with CroMagnum. These guys are true musicians and it shows in this album, and live it shows even more.” – CGCM Radio/Podcast

“a short and sweet release which should definitely appeal to fans of thrash metal, US power metal and perhaps even traditional heavy metal.” – Metal Music Archives

“Instrumental opening “End Your Slavery” is the ideal tone setter for the EP bringing flavours of Spirit Adrift and Crowbar while cleansing the mind in preparation of the onslaught that you might not even see coming. The title track is a whirlwind of staccato riffs that come from the pre-Thrash era with a raw rhythmic power cut but melodic leads that float above them like a friendly ghost, adding a touch of quality to the otherwise driven attack.” – Metal Noise

“”Tunguska” is a beautiful thrash piece…” – The Pit of The Damned

“Canadian band CroMagnum are out with the EP “Born Free”, and this is a production for metal fans to take note of. The variety of the style explored here is a dark and dirty one, with chugging riffs, groove-oriented barrages and occasional more intense runs, blending elements from plain heavy metal, thrash metal and possibly also speed metal to into a tight and slightly grimy package. The kind of metal you would expect to hear played as the soundtrack in a greasy car mechanic shop or performed at a more run down club, complete with dark and raspy, aggressive lead vocals that fits the premises quite nicely indeed. ” – The Viking in The Wilderness

#10 – CroMagnum Self-Titled on Top Metal Albums of 2014 – CJLO 1690 AM (Montreal, QC)

‘’… the band looked like they had just come off a tour opening for Amon Amarth, or more likely, just finished chasing down hordes of orcs using their instruments as weapons. I’m inclined to believe the latter is one hundred percent accurate.’’ – BucketList Music Reviews

“For a night of heaviosity, catch the riff-tastic Cromagnum” – Cult MTL

Discography:
2021 – Born Free
2014 – CroMagnum

The end. CroMagnum.

Shared Stage with:
