General Admission Tickets ($45 USD) are available at the following link: https://tickets.holdmyticket.com/tickets/444811

Featuring headliner Boston’s PowerGlove, the very beloved instrumental power metal cover band will present a night of nostalgic tributes to retro video game and television themes. The band released their latest EP, “The Super Smash Bros,” in August 2024. Listen at https://spoti.fi/4b2wcvJ

They are joined by the Pacific Northwest’s Glyph, which is not just a heavy metal band; they are a crew of intergalactic mercenaries escaping a dying planet in their spaceship, the VSS Dragonlord. Clearly, Glyph isn’t just writing songs; they’re building worlds, and they bring it forth in their latest album “Honor, Power, Glory,” released in March 2024.

Formed in 2020 during a time in which plague stalked the land and time lost all meaning, the core of Owlbear is comprised of North American scene veterans Katheryn Scary (vocals), Jeff Taft (guitars), and Leona Hayward (bass), all of whom hail from different corners of the continent. The band made their live debut at the sold-out Legions of Metal festival in Chicago in 2024 in support of their debut album “Chaos to the Realm” (2023) (Alone Records). Musically, Owlbear draws influence from classic heavy and speed metal and roots their lyrics in the media its members love, from the famous role-playing game that inspired the band’s namesake to the Final Fantasy franchise. Dynamic vocals, frenetic riffing, and bass that are equal parts pummeling and acrobatic drive the band’s relentless approach, and with the imminent release of their sophomore album “Feather & Claw” on February 28th, 2025 via Alone Records, Owlbear aims to continue to carve out its niche within the heavy metal community with a savage swipe of a plumed talon.

Hailing from Philadelphia, Empress is a symphonic power metal quintet that loves weaving grand tales over catchy and triumphant symphonic soundscapes. Their critically acclaimed debut album, titled “Fateweaver,” released in August 2022, which renowned mixing and mastering engineer Dan Swanö has characterized as one of his best works in melodic metal, carefully entwines musical universes and invites you to follow your imagination and fantasy. Among Empress’ remarked past live performances, it is worth mentioning their album release show at Mad With Power Fest in Madison, WI, on the release day of “Fateweaver”, as well as having shared the stage with bands such as Oceans of Slumber, Seven Spires, and Grim Reaper on their journey to conquering the symphonic metal stronghold with sophistication. Lyric Video – Monarch – https://youtu.be/owZzuJQFxgc

GREYHAWK, with new singer Anthony Corso at the helm, is ready to bring the power with what will surely be their best performance at Mile High Power Fest! Anyone who has seen this traditional heavy metal titan knows they are in for an incredible set. Their newest album, “Thunderheart,” released in April 2024 on Fighter Records, a division of Xtreem Music, has been making waves across the heavy metal and power metal scenes worldwide. Watch their heavy metal prowess in their latest band playthrough “Spellstone” – https://youtu.be/65ySwth-LKo

Local hometown heroes, Denver’s Celestial Wizard brings a mix of fantasy and heavy metal to the table, giving you a front-row seat to a sci-fi experience unlike any other! The band has been blazing new trails with their aggressive, powerful sound. Pulling from both power metal and death metal, they achieve a melodic, high-intensity mix that hits just right. Their third studio “Regenesis,” was released on July 11th by Scarlet Records. Check out the album’s opening track, “Pale Horse”. The song teases the concept of endings and beginnings that is ever present throughout the record. Music Video – Pale Horse – https://youtu.be/sTL_3wQfuG0

Also supporting the lineup will be Denver’s blackened pagan power metal Oak, Ash & Thorn, who released their latest album “Our Grief Is Thus” in April 2024 on Lost Future Records. The album is a powerful, unique sound that is fully their own, as melodic and memorable as it is heavy and crushing. Now, Oak, Ash & Thorn are taking the next step in their journey by signing with Season of Mist. As they continue to tour in support of their latest album, the band will begin writing what’s bound to be a highly anticipated follow-up. Music Video – Dying Culture – https://youtu.be/5nSJJUZTRE0

To open the festival’s night, the winners of the 2024 Battle of the Bands for the festival will be Denver locals Viperwitch and Signs of Tranquility. Make sure to come early to the fest to cheer on the local winners!

In addition to the primary festival night, Mile High Power Fest hosts a pre-party that puts Denver’s local talent in the spotlight. About:

The Mile High Power Festival, Denver’s only power metal festival, was derived from the creative mind of Soren Bray. The idea was born after a night of celebration with his band, Celestial Wizard, while attending the HyperSpace Festival in Vancouver, Canada. It was then that Soren realized the U.S. had only a handful of power metal festivals—and none near his home in Denver. Partnering with Lucy, owner of Bitesize Productions LLC, Soren teamed up to turn this dream into a reality. The duo pitched Soren’s dream fest idea to the Oriental Theater (Denver, CO, USA,) who was thrilled to join the project! Thus it began.

MHPF’s inaugural 2024 lineup featured Seven Spires, Aether Realm, Traveler, Lords of the Trident, AfterTime, Judicator, Graveshadow, Celestial Wizard, Seizure, Starwraith, and Siege Perilous.

Mile High Power Festival is the ultimate gathering for power metal enthusiasts. Nestled in the heart of Denver, Colorado, this annual event is a showcase of the finest power metal bands locally and from around the globe. It’s a testament to the unyielding spirit and intensity of power metal music, uniting devoted fans and talented artists in a euphoric celebration. Immerse yourself in a weekend of high-voltage performances, camaraderie, and the unapologetic essence of power metal.

The night before the festival, they host an exciting Battle of the Bands event where local artists compete for a chance to perform at the following year’s fest. This event not only uplifts the Denver local music community but also provides valuable feedback to the artists from industry professionals. Join us for a night of great music and support Denver’s local talent!

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – August 8, 2025

Finnish Prog CANVAS OF SILENCE New Video “One With The Wind” From Debut Album “As The World Tree Fell” Out Oct 2025

Finnish female-fronted progressive metal band Canvas of Silence continues the rollout of their debut album “As The World Tree Fell” with the release of their second single “One With The Wind”, available now on all digital platforms via Rockshots Records.

Following the emotionally intense and prog-driven debut single “Drown“, the new track explores a more melodic and soaring side of the band’s musical palette. “One With The Wind” blends hauntingly beautiful vocal lines with straightforward sections and intricate, prog-tinged instrumentation — a signature approach the band has defined as “Prog-influenced Chorus Metal”.

Lyrically, the song takes the form of a farewell letter inspired by Hayao Miyazaki’s The Wind Rises. It captures the final words of someone preparing to part ways with the world, offering one last message of hope, love, and liberation. As always with Canvas of Silence, deep philosophical themes are woven into the sonic texture of the song — an interplay of melancholy and euphoria, darkness and release.

Taken from the concept album “As The World Tree Fell“, “One With The Wind” is a key chapter in a larger journey that reflects on collapse, rebirth, and the fragile beauty of being. The album title itself refers to a metaphorical World Tree falling, symbolizing both personal and global disintegration and the silent promise of renewal.

ABOUT:

Canvas of Silence is a catchy, prog-influenced, female vocal-driven metal band from Finland. Starting as a solo project by Tatu Hanhikoski (guitars, programming, songwriting), Canvas of Silence has since formed into a full band including Aino Vuorenmaa (vocals), Jaakko Puusaari (guitars, vocals), Mikael Minkkinen (bass), and Iiro Vuori (drums). The music of Canvas of Silence paints its pictures on silence with complementary colours. It’s heavy but melodic, occasionally complex yet at the same time somewhat simple and catchy, glued together with female vocals and symphonic elements. Or as the drummer Iiro Vuori put it, the music can be described as ”Prog-influenced Chorus Metal”.

Through Flames and Folklore: VALLORCH’s “Hellpath” Live Video Ignites Ancient Myth

New Album “The Circle” Out Now!

Vallorch continues their evolution through folk and symphonic metal with “Hellpath”, their brand-new single and official live video taken from the acclaimed album “The Circle” (out via Rockshots Records). Shot during the band’s 2025 Italian Tour at Obscene Valhalla, the performance captures Vallorch’s intense stage presence and emotional depth, directed and edited by Simone D’Addazio (@morksar) with additional camera work by Ivan Castelli (Ivan Lionsoul).

With its evocative mix of crushing riffs, folk instrumentation, and fierce, emotive vocals, “Hellpath” transforms ancient myth into a deeply personal reflection on life’s hardest questions. The track draws inspiration from the Cimbrian tale “The 99 Paths of Hell”, where a man must outwit the devil to save his soul — a tale Vallorch reimagines as a metaphor for life’s endless crossroads: regret, anxiety, identity, and the fear of being forgotten.

Lyrically and musically, the song is one of the band’s most introspective works to date. Harsh vocals embody the voice of the devil—or perhaps one’s inner demons—while solemn folk melodies evoke a dance through fire. Despite its darkness, the song offers resilience: a call to keep walking, even through flame, and to stay true to oneself in a world of uncertainty.

“Hellpath” shines as one of the most powerful moments on “The Circle“, an album that explores the many faces of the night: its solitude and celebration, its fears and freedoms. Vallorch’s unique blend of folk, symphonic, death, and power metal, along with their deep connection to Alpine mythology and Cimbrian heritage, sets them apart in the modern metal landscape.

The video of “Hellpath” is not just a performance — it’s a ritual. The band’s energy, intensity, and connection with the audience are palpable, delivering a visual and sonic experience that encapsulates everything Vallorch stands for.

Fans of Eluveitie, Wind Rose, Epicaand Alestorm will find in “Hellpath” a song that bridges myth and meaning, tradition and self-expression — a path into the flames and through them.

ABOUT:

VALLORCH was born in December 2010, when Marco Munari (NewSun), Matteo Patuelli (Alzhagoth), and Massimo Benetazzo came up with the idea right after attending a concert together. Inspired by the energy and spirit of the event, they decided to form their own band, and the name VALLORCH—taken from a small Cimbrian village on the Cansiglio plateau—was quickly chosen as a tribute to their cultural roots.

For the first year, VALLORCH experimented with different sounds and musicians, searching for the right lineup. By January 2012, the group solidified with the addition of vocalist/flutist Sara, vocalist/bassist Leonardo Dalla Via, multi-instrumentalist Andrea ‘Demetrio’ Rampin (playing tin whistle, bagpipes, accordion), and violinist Francesco Salviato. This seven-member ensemble debuted live in March 2012, promoting their newly released EP Stories of North. Their captivating blend of folk metal quickly gained traction, earning them recognition in the Italian scene and leading to performances at events like Fosch Fest, where they opened for major bands.

However, the summer of 2012 brought changes. Violinist Francesco parted ways with the band, and Martina Mezzalira took his place. Around the same time, VALLORCH signed a record deal with Moonlight Records and entered the studio to work on their first full-length album. Released in 2013, Neverfade was met with critical and fan acclaim, blending fast-paced, melodic jigs with guttural and clean vocals, alongside powerful death metal riffs. This success landed them performances at major international festivals like Metaldays.

2014 saw further lineup shifts. Andrea Demetrio Rampin left the band, replaced by Paolo Pesce on accordion, hurdy-gurdy, and keyboards. Meanwhile, vocalist Sara took over tin whistle and bagpipe duties. Founding member Matteo Patuelli also stepped down, making way for guitarist Mattia Buggin to join. Despite these changes, VALLORCH pressed forward, embarking on their first European tour with Artaius. They played in Germany, Czechia, France, Belgium, and Slovakia, culminating in a performance opening for Mägo de Oz at the Metal for Emergency festival.

Later that year, they returned to the studio to record their second full-length album, Until Our Tale Is Told (2015). The album reflected the band’s growing compositional maturity and led to more festival appearances and live shows over the next two years.

In 2016, Riccardo Gianni briefly joined the band as a violinist, performing at several major local festivals. However, by 2019, the band was once again at a crossroads. After a series of lineup changes and creative challenges, founding member Marco Munari decided to leave the group. The remaining members—Massimo, Sara, Leo, Mattia, and Marco—faced a difficult choice: either disband or evolve. They chose to reinvent themselves as a five-piece band.

The global restrictions from 2020 to 2022 made live performances difficult, but the band used this time to focus on writing new material. By 2023, VALLORCH returned to the stage, opening for renowned acts like Alestorm, Wind Rose, and Rhapsody Of Fire.

Now, in 2025, VALLORCH is set to release their highly anticipated new album, “The Circle”, marking a triumphant return. Reborn from the ashes of their former selves, they are ready to take the world by storm once again.

Toronto Prog DEREV Posts New Music Video “Futile” Ahead of Toronto Show Date with VOLA

Debut Album “Troubled Mind” Out Now!

L-R (Clockwise) – Live Lineup – Ran Zehavi (Keys), Stan Komarovsky (Bass), Armando Bablanian (Guitar), Mike Symons (Vocals), Michel Karakach (Drums)

Tapped to be opening support for Denmark’s VOLA‘s Toronto tour date on Sept 12th at The Opera House (ticket info), local prog rockers Derev are sharing their latest live music video for their track “Futile”, which was filmed during the band’s album launch show this past March for their first full-length, “Troubled Mind”.

“Futile” was the lead single from their 2021 EP “Leap of Faith”, and is about the uncontrolled advancement of AI. The track is a fusion of metal’s raw energy with the atmospheric depth of progressive rock, featuring mellow instrumental sections and expressive solos that evoke introspection and emotional complexity.

Derev‘s new album “Troubled Mind,” released this past March, is the follow-up to their 2021 debut EP “Leap of Faith.” It takes a deep dive into the intricacies of the human psyche, addressing a spectrum of mental health issues with each track, ranging from temporary mental instability to more severe conditions such as schizophrenia, cognitive immobility (a fixation on the past), and depression stemming from loss.

Offering a diverse range of sounds from mellow, calm tracks to adrenaline-pumping heavy headbangers while maintaining their distinctive progressive rock sound, enriched with Middle Eastern influences. Incorporating more prominent keyboard parts, experimenting with various time signatures, and introducing new instruments such as the Cajon, Darbuka, and electronic elements. This evolution showcases the band’s innovative spirit and commitment to pushing musical boundaries.

The band adds:

“This album is very personal and introspective. It’s full of memorable songs and parts to listen to and digest, both from a musical and lyrical perspective. Every song tackles a different state of mind and takes the listener into their thoughts of a mental state that they can relate to. As this one marks our second official release, we think the fans will be excited about hearing what Derev still has to offer. They’re in for a crazy ride full of energetic ups and heartbreaking downs.”

Derev was conceived after founding member and drummer Michel Karakach, after fleeing the war in the Middle East and finding refuge in Toronto, Canada, reunited with his best friend, guitarist Armando Bablanian, to turn what was once a mere childhood dream into a powerful reality.

Derev‘s dynamic lineup now includes bassist Stan Komarovsky, providing the backbone of Derev‘s sound, and keyboardist Ran Zehavi from the progressive rock band Scalar, adding depth and complexity. Leading the live charge is frontman and vocalist Mike Symons, who has replaced previous singer Adel Saflou, whose recorded vocals are featured on “Troubled Mind”.

Recommended for fans of Opeth, Dream Theater, Porcupine Tree, Soen, and Riverside, “Troubled Mind” was released on March 26th, 2025, and is available at https://www.derevmusic.com/store (CD, Vinyl, T-Shirt) and all digital platforms.

About: “Divided by war, United by music”

Derev is a progressive rock band captivating global audiences with its innovative blend of progressive rock and traditional Middle Eastern music.

After fleeing the war in the Middle East and finding refuge in Toronto, Canada, founding member and Drummer Michel Karakach reunited with his best friend, guitarist Armando Bablanian, to turn what was once a mere childhood dream into a powerful reality.

Derev’s debut release, “Leap of Faith,” melded the raw energy of hard rock with the rich textures of the traditional Middle Eastern music they grew up with, offering a fresh perspective on topics often overlooked in modern music. This distinctive sound quickly caught the attention of both local and international audiences, propelling Derev into a series of successful shows across Canada.

The band’s dynamic lineup now includes bassist Stan Komarovsky, providing the backbone of Derev’s sound, and keyboardist Ran Zehavi from the progressive rock band Scalar, adding depth and complexity. Leading the live charge is frontman and vocalist Mike Symons, who replaces previous singer Adel Saflou, who is featured on their forthcoming studio offering “Troubled Mind”. Symons’ compelling presence and vocal prowess complete the live ensemble.

As Derev gears up to release their anticipated second album, “Troubled Mind,” on March 26th, 2025, they continue to carve out a unique niche in the music world. Their innovative sound promises to captivate new listeners and industry veterans alike. Keep an eye on Derev as they redefine what rock music can be.

“Toronto prog quintet Derev will release their debut full-length album, Troubled Mind, on March 26. The yearning, epic tones of Cyclone is the second single to be taken from the upcoming album, and Derev will be touring throughout Ontario and Quebec over the coming months to support the new album.” – Prog Magazine – Great new prog you must hear… Tracks Of The Week – Cyclone – Feb 21, 2025

“Multinational quintet get introspective on second album. Technicality can sometimes overshadow emotion in bands with a progressive musical mindset. Derev are certainly accomplished but they never overplay when they don’t need to or get mired in the minutiae of the songs. Troubled Mind is all about the feels. Quite literally, in fact, as each song tackles a different state of mind, making it a sort of darker, prog version of Disney animation Inside Out. There’s an ebb and flow between tracks and a breadth of styles ranging from the melancholy resonance of Buried Voice to the sharper riff-driven Room 9 and the jazzy playfulness and wobbly prog synths of Paracusia. Derev also incorporate elements of drummer Michel Karakach and guitarist Armando Bablanian’s Middle Eastern roots, but these are worked deeply into the structures of the songs, emerging through melodies and subtle patterns rather than thrown on top. There is a metal influence at play, but it’s a measured one and while they reference Black Sabbath on occasion, Tides Of Time is closer to the psychedelic wash of Planet Caravan than the hulking riffola of Paranoid. An emotional journey and one that’s well worth an investment in effort. PT” – Prog Magazine

“The best part of the album (Troubled Mind) is the band’s ability to carry strong emotions into their music. Many of the songs are not complicated, but they are loaded with feelings. I’m not sure I have heard a Progressive album that is this unpretentious and this emotional at the same time. 8/10” Metal-Temple

“its eight tracks draws us into a music that combines intensity and peaceful atmospheres of old school prog. The melodies thus highlight many sound universes from one composition to another including beautiful vocal harmonies and important instrumental parts… Derev delivers retro-sounding music with plenty of late 70s and early 80s progressive influences… Troubled Mind, with its instantly relatable melodies, is a resounding success. 4/5” – Prog Critique

“every minute is a blessing to your progressive ears. Porcupine Tree and Opeth enthusiasts might appreciate this.” – Rock Portaal

“I definitely find myself looking forward to putting on my headphones again and letting myself fall and drift after enjoying the thickly produced record “Troubled Mind, to close my eyes, sit back and just enjoy. DEREV: Great band, great discovery. Playing tips: Room 9, Cyclone, Paracusia 8/10” – PowerMetal.de

Montreal, QC – August 8, 2025

Canadian Rockers DOLL Hit The Beach w/ DIY Video “Shark Bait” Off New EP “Better Days, Different Times” Out Now!

Canadian husband and wife alt-rock duo Doll are making a splash for your summer beach plans with their latest DIY music video for their track “Shark Bait” from their recently released EP “Better Days, Different Times”. The EP marks the band’s first taste of new music since 2011’s “The Ragdoll Diaries”. The EP represents not just a return to form but a significant evolution for the Ottawa-based band has expanded its sonic palette while maintaining its core identity.

“With this collection of songs, we aimed to bring listeners closer to what’s important to us—our values and our experiences. It’s not just something to listen to; it’s something to sit with and reflect on. This time, it’s less about loudness and more about the weight behind the lyrics. And for our track, Shark Bait, we wanted it to be more than a music video. It’s a reminder that creativity thrives when you’re having fun, and sometimes, the best art is the kind that bites back with a grin,” adds the band.

With razor-sharp riffs and frontwoman Christina Kasper’s haunting vocals, “Shark Bait” explores emotional predators and the fight to stay afloat in a world full of teeth.

Watch and listen to the music video for “Shark Bait” at https://youtu.be/XWP4kLw7xlw

“Better Days, Different Times” isn’t just DOLL’s resurrection—it’s their reinvention. This EP marks the band’s return with a more refined and emotionally resonant sound, proving that time away has only deepened their creative force. For longtime fans and newcomers alike, it offers a compelling gateway into DOLL’s evolved artistry.

Each track was carefully chosen for its emotional resonance, striking a chord deep within the band. Some songs arrive in softer, quieter moments—but don’t be misled. The weight remains, the message still cuts deep. Darkness and heaviness linger beneath the surface, true to DOLL’s commitment to raw, therapeutic songwriting.

Rooted in lived experience and honest emotion, the EP continues the band’s tradition of using music as a tool for personal reflection and connection, reaching listeners who find solace in shared struggles and unfiltered expression.

DOLL is recommended for fans of Nobro, SoftCult, Amyl and the Sniffers, and The Pretty Reckless.

“#1 Doll – Zach’s Picks of the Week – July 7 – 12, 2025 – Canadian Beats

“In one of the best comeback stories in music in 2025, Canadian Alt-Rock duo DOLL will release their first new collection of material since 2011’s The Ragdoll Diaries… In addition to five slamming originals, DOLL chips in an inspired take on the Deep Purple classic rock anthem – “Smoke On the Water!” “- Ghost Cult Magazine

“Doll sharpens their grit with new muscle and melody. Their return after more than a decade is not a nostalgia trip but a rebirth. The Ottawa band’s forthcoming EP Better Days, Different Times (July 18th) expands their core formula of raw energy and no-frills honesty by inviting new players and broader sonic choices into the mix. But even with cello flourishes and genre jumps, their identity remains firmly intact.” – Amplify The Noise

“The new track ‘Shark Bait’ from Doll is a blast! The world has been celebrating the 50th anniversary of “JAWS” and now we have a brand new punk-fueled bite in the pants to go along with all of the bloody hoopla. ‘Shark Bait’ is basically straight ahead hardcore riffage with razor sharp teeth, fun lyrics and a precursor to their new EP, ‘Better Days, Different Times’ set for a July 18th release. Catch it on your Home for the Best New Rock… W-J-O-EEEE” – WJOE – Findlay’s Home for Rock & Roll

“DOLL has returned as potent and as impressive as they were before but with greater impact we suggest, Better Days, Better Times quite simply a must exploration for punk and feral rock hearts.” – The Ring Master Review

“Christina Kasper’s changeable voice is impressive.” – Keep On Rocking

Montreal, QC – August 7, 2025

IMPERISHABLE (ft. Nile, Hate Eternal, Malevolent Creation, Olkoth members) Unleashes “Spewing Retribution” From Debut Album “Revelation In Purity” Out End of August 2025

“Revelation In Purity” Out Aug 29th, 2025 via Everlasting Spew Records(Digital/CD/Cassette) – Vinyl Coming 2026

Mixed and Mastered by Jamie King (Between the Buried and Me, The Contortionist, Scale the Summit)

Set to pillage the death metal world with their debut album “Revelation In Purity”, out August 29th, 2025 via Everlasting Spew Records, Imperishable, featuring guitarist/vocalist Brian Kingsland (Nile, Enthean), bassist Alex Rush (Olkoth, Enthean), and drum legend Derek Roddy (Hate Eternal, Malevolent Creation) is unleashing their latest offering “Spewing Retribution”.

This third single is an onslaught of aggressive picking and fast blast beats. Letting off the jugular only momentarily for a Dimebag meets Ihsahn guitar solo, before ramping back up again. This song is a staple of the aggressive sound the band has achieved. Lyrically, the song is again anti-religious. But, crafted so in a more poetic, interpretive manner, rather than outright violence and hatred.

Listen to “Spewing Retribution” via its premiere on NoCleanSinging HERE.

Delivering an unapologetically fierce experience, Imperishable was formed as an outlet for raw, unfiltered aggression outside their legacy bands. Impersihable‘s first full-length “Revelation In Purity” is a relentless display of old-school ethos and modern wrath. Eschewing over-polished production, the album plunges listeners into visceral, analog brutality. Lyrically, the record leans toward personal strength and confidence. Imperishable welcomes interpretation, mirroring their approach to songwriting as collaborative, ever-evolving, and instinctively intense.

“This album started with just a few ideas between Alex and me, and has now taken on a life of its own, and we’re damn proud of what we’ve achieved here. It represents where we were at the time. Musically and otherwise. The pandemic, the birth of my son, the loss of immediate family, etc, it’s all in there. It’s an honest record that is a bit more raw and recorded old-school. There’s no quantizing or samples on the drums. Minimal edits across the board. We wanted it to sound good, but not over-polished. A lot of that is in capturing the performance. So, you might not hear every note perfectly, but the conviction is there, and that’s what matters. If this is your thing, you’ll love it. It’s a kick in the teeth,” adds Brian Kingsland (Vocals/Guitar).

Inspired by death and black metal legends including Morbid Angel, Emperor, Angelcorpse, Zyklon, and Nile, “Revelation In Purity” balances sheer speed and aggression with atmospheric weight and lyrical depth.

Fans can expect more music in the future, but for now, this debut is a definitive statement. “Revelation In Purity” is not just an album, it’s an experience. Raw. Real. Revelatory.

“Aggressive” and “blistering” are definitely adjectives that apply to “Oath of Disgust” — but if anything they understate the case. The music blasts from the speakers in a superheated torrent of blaring, blazing, and rapidly darting riffage, backed by furious drumming out on the cutting edge of human capacities and by maniacal yet nimble bass performances. Kingsland‘s bestial roars, scathing howls, and unhinged screams add to both the song’s full-blown fury and its berserk energies. But the song also twists and turns in unexpected ways. There is indeed singing in this one — haunting and harrowing singing — as well as rapidly mutating riffage and rhythmic variations that combine to create music which viciously eviscerates, jolts like jackhammers, convulses in feverish insectile swarms and darting bursts, and seems to maniacally scream. The music also suddenly expands and segues into a magnificent guitar solo, leading to one last spectacle of head-spinning instrumentation at the finale. And so the song proves to be not only aggressive and blistering but also inventively elaborate and technically mind-bending, undeniably savage but also a multi-faceted and relentlessly thrilling escapade (and immediately addictive too).” – No Clean Singing

“Death metal without an expiration date… Given that pedigree, you’ll have a reasonable idea of what to expect from this. The trio’s work in “Revelation in Purity” isn’t as technical or noodly as what you’d get from Enthean or Nile, but it more than makes up for that in speed and ferocity. It’s a near-perpetual stream of blastbeats and tremolo riffs topped with Kingsland’s crunchy vocals, drawing some of its melodic ideas from the barbaric end of the black metal spectrum. It’s a straight-to-the-point neck breaker of a song, so clear some mosh space and jam it now.” – Toilet Ov Hell

“For all the talent that’s to be had behind this creation, it should have been obvious from the onset that “Revelation in Purity” was going to be a devastating effort in a magnificent form. These guys have known what they’re doing for years now across several different projects, and now they should proudly add Imperishable as another notch on their belts as they embark on their own journeys throughout the underground with this record something that promises far more in the future for those willing to wait for those forces to meet once again.” – Head Bnager Reviews

“Imperishable are a very great sounding blackened death metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE “Oath Of Disgust” “Spewing Retribution” and “The Enduring Light Of Reverence”. 8 out of 10.” – Bringer of Death Zine

Exitus Stratagem Records – VISITANT Unveils Mesmerizing Music Video “Briars”

+ Michigan Metal Fest + “In the Wake of Flame Tour” (FL/GA/TN/SC/NC) w/ IATT

Debut Album “Rubidium” Out Aug 2025 via Exitus Stratagem Records

With their debut album “Rubidium” just weeks away from being unleashed on Exitus Stratagem Records on August 22, 2025, blackened death metal collective Visitant presents their third and final pre-release single “Briars” accompanied by a beautiful music video that visualizes the band’s immersive dreamscapes. This composition serves as a powerful statement piece, showcasing the full scope of Visitant‘s ability to craft ritualistic soundscapes that are both aggressive and ethereal. As they put it, “such a beautiful representation of what is to come.”

The story of a man who, after realizing he’s died, pleads that it wasn’t his time yet, and as his pleas fall on non-existent ears, he comes to discover that everyone will be forgotten in the end. “Briars” exemplifies the band’s commitment to creating tasteful juxtapositions between the visceral and the beautiful. The track features the collaborative genius that has defined Visitant‘s approach: Taylor Tidwell’s intricate guitar work, Anthony Lusk-Simone’s orchestral arrangements and powerful drumming, Kilian Duarte’s prominent bass lines that intensify the forward-pushing experience, and Chelsea Marrow’s commanding vocal performance that channels personal experiences transformed into ghost stories.

The single arrives as Visitant prepares for their live debut at Michigan Metal Fest on August 23rd and “In the Wake of Flame Tour” with Philadelphia’s alchemical blackened death metal force IATT (dates listed below), where they will bring their haunting world to life with what they envision as an intense live experience featuring ‘muted dingy lighting and old house vibes’ that match the atmosphere of their music.

Visitant has created a debut album that promises to resonate with listeners for years to come. They are recommended listening for fans of Opeth, Naglfar, and Between the Buried and Me.

Thomas Weidick, on guitar, recently joined their live lineup this past June.

“Visitant is here to utterly wreck your morning thanks to their brand new single “Fodder”, the first offering from their upcoming album Rubidium due out on August 23 via Exitus Stratagem Records. Visitant is vocalist Chelsea Marrow (Voraath, The Monster Factory, Doom Eternal, Hellblade 2, etc.), guitarist Taylor Tidwell, drummer Anthony Lusk-Simone (Abiotic, Lattermath & ex-Pathogenic), and bassist Kilian Duarte (Abiotic, Lattermath, Felix Martin & Scale The Summit). So a real powerhouse of a band that brings some savage energy to the metal world.” – Metal Injection

“Visitant introduce the song (Starless) with subdued classical strings and rippling piano keys which together create a sorrowful but entrancing mood. The gentle nature of that overture makes the sudden crash that follows it even more startling — a sudden attack of slashing and sizzling fretwork, gargantuan bass-moans, neck-cracking beats, savage roars, and scorching screams. The song continues to bring in classically influenced piano melodies coupled with vividly dancing guitars, creating an almost diabolical kind of elegance, but the song also ignites a blackened firestorm of blasting drums, delirious fretwork, and sweeping symphonics. The notes vibrantly dart and blaze as the rhythm section thunder, and the music both elevates to heights of daunting, haughty grandeur and sweeps like wildfire. The torrid and tormented vocals seem to hold nothing back, howling and screaming out on the bleeding edge of intensity, and as if the song couldn’t get any more extravagant, the band make room for a head-spinning guitar solo at the end, in the midst of lots of other equally head-spinning fretwork and rhythm-section spectacles.” – No Clean Singing

““Fodder“, presents different warps and wefts in its weave. Also presented through a video (this time we get to see the band perform), it was inspired by a very dark dream in which Chelsea attempted to bring a murdered friend back to life and lost her own life in the process, leaving the friend trapped in a hellish limbo, bound to a body over which their control had been lost to dark spirits. To be sure, this song is also musically extravagant. It features a lot of borderline deranged and technically demanding high-speed maneuvers (a tour de force that would make lots of tech-death bands jealous) but it’s also hallucinatory, and unhinged in many other respects. It further demonstrates that Chelsea Marrow can really sing, as well as howl like a wolf and scream like a goblin. It’s a highly theatrical experience, but also instrumentally kaleidoscopic and viscerally frightening, and the singing makes the song stand out as much as every other demented and dazzling aspect of it.” – No Clean Singing

“Emerging from the shadowy fringes of the metal scene, blackened death metal outfit Visitant has unleashed their riveting debut single, “Fodder.” Released as a precursor to their eagerly anticipated first full-length album, “Rubidium,” the track invites listeners into a deeply atmospheric yet punishing sonic landscape.” – See Rock Live Magazine

“Uniting seasoned musicians from the Extreme Metal underground scene with members known for their previous works in Abiotic, Scale the Summit, Unaligned and Voraath, Blackened Death Metal quartet Visitant have spent the better part of three years crafting a debut album. The promise is of something dark, beautiful, visceral and compelling with single “Fodder” an almost ritualistic journey that weaves ethereal elements into an unrelentingly aggressive soundscape. Turning personal experiences into ghost stories for the half an hour of power that is “Rubidium” caught the attention of Exitus Stratagem Records who will distribute the affair on 29th August.” – Metal Noise

Out Now! From the Mind of Ethan Henry (Freya, The Last Season) One-Man Solo Band ASHES OF THE SUN’s Debut Album “Gods With Machines”

Debut Album “Gods With Machines” Out August 2025

“If Metallica and Megadeth had a baby with Alice in Chains, that’s Ashes of the Sun.” – Ethan D. Henry

ASHES OF THE SUN, the one-man solo band from the mind of Ethan Henry (Freya, The Last Season), is proud to reveal the debut album “Gods with Machines”, out now as of August 1st via his label Ignorant Tourist Productions.

The album was written from a catalog of songs that Henry had written over the years while in his other bands. Unsure of what to do with them. He finally decided that it was time to hit the studio and start recording them. After those sessions, Henry decided his eclectic song list was cohesive enough to make an album.

The nine tracks on “Gods With Machines” were written, performed (drums, guitar, bass, vocals), and produced, along with the album artwork, all by Ethan D. Henry, with mixing and mastering done by Jason “Jocko” Randle at CAPTURE STUDIO (Syracuse, N.Y.). The result is an album that is ultimately about an alien race that lands on a planet after destroying their world. Realizing the people are looking to the sky for heaven, they pretend they are gods and take advantage of the natives, steal their resources, and live in their paradise. Eventually, the people rebel against the gods after years of abuse and lies. They overthrow the gods and realize they aren’t what they claim to be.

This album expresses feelings of being misled by those you admire and trust. It’s about being yourself and finding your spiritual path. My overall vision was to have this album flow like some of my playlists, and I imagine most people’s playlists. I hope that fans will enjoy the mellow acoustic/ballad intros that transition into hard rock/ metal flows. I wanted these songs to reach rock fans and metal fans alike. I’ve been in metal bands for a long time and love the brutality Karl and Dan brought to Freya and The Last Season, but I wanted to reach a broader audience. So I chose to tone the heavy vocals back and sing the album. I think ultimately, whether it’s my metal, rock, or grunge influences coming through in these songs, it sounds like the era of music I grew up listening to. late 90s, early 2000s. I like that about this record,” adds Henry.

“One-man solo band ASHES OF THE SUN is the work of drummer / filmmaker Ethan D. Henry and he’s just dropped his new single, “A New Way To Die” from the forthcoming full length album “Gods With Machines” (Aug. 1st). Canada’s IN/VERTIGO Release New Video “Weathervane” Off New EP “Prevail” Out Now!

Following the release of their explosive single “Save Me”, Canadian hard rockers IN/VERTIGO continue to turn up the heat with their brand-new track “Weathervane,” now available on all digital platforms.

Built on swaggering riffs, pounding drums, and a fiercely melodic chorus, “Weathervane” showcases a more anthemic side of the band, without losing their trademark grit. Lyrically introspective yet musically defiant, the track explores the chaos of navigating life’s shifting winds, staying true to yourself amidst uncertainty.

The single is taken from their new EP “Prevail,” released last July 18th, 2025, and is accompanied by a high-energy official music video capturing the band’s raw and playful spirit.

Formed in 2016, IN/VERTIGO has earned a loyal following with their high-octane performances and no-nonsense rock attitude. Having shared the stage with rock legends like Buckcherry, Steel Panther, and Diamond Head, the band continues to prove why they are one of the most electrifying names in modern hard rock.

SECRET RULE Shares Music Video For New Single “Silent Pain” Off Upcoming 10th Studio Album “X” Out October 2025

Italian modern metal act Secret Rule unveil their powerful new single “Silent Pain”, the third track taken from their upcoming tenth studio album “X“, due out on October 24th, 2025 via Rockshots Records.

Following the energetic “Just a Sacrifice” and the evocative “Echoes of the Earth”, “Silent Pain” dives into the emotional terrain of hidden suffering. With haunting melodies, cinematic arrangements and raw, confessional lyrics, the song captures the invisible battles we fight behind closed doors—where pain is masked by silence and strength is found in vulnerability.

“‘Silent Pain’ is a song I deeply connect with—it’s about giving a voice to emotions we often keep buried. Singing it felt like releasing something I had been holding in for years”, shares vocalist and lyricist Angela Di Vincenzo.

Musically, the track merges heavy grooves with fragile atmospheres, reflecting the duality of emotional turmoil and healing. Guitarist and producer Andy Menario explains:

“I wanted the guitars to echo the internal chaos and quiet desperation behind the lyrics—sometimes heavy, sometimes fragile, just like the human mind.”

As with the rest of the album, the song was entirely produced by the band. Angela Di Vincenzo penned the lyrics and vocal melodies while Andy Menario handled the arrangement, mixing and mastering at Digitall Studio. Drums were recorded at Alpha Music with Andrea Miazzetto delivering a tense yet fluid performance and Sofia Basili adding both depth and vocal harmonies on bass.

Secret Rule’s upcoming album “X” celebrates their tenth anniversary with a bold and contemporary sound, blending modern metal intensity, symphonic textures and electronic experimentation. The album explores themes of collapse, resistance and rebirth—“Silent Pain” stands as one of its most intimate and cathartic moments.
