Montreal, QC – July 22, 2022

Out Now! Norway’s TONIC BREED “Fuel The Fire” of Their Thrash Evolution w/ New EP ft. Guests From Megadeth, Soilwork, Kamelot and more!

“Fuel The Fire” Out July 22nd

Norway’s Tonic Breed has been reborn to evolve into a one-man thrash tank led by founding member Patrik K. Svendsen. Since first forming in 2006, Tonic Breed operated as a full contingent with tons of experience in the European metal community. Following the release of their 2018 album “Install Memory” and after 13 years of moshing, the band members decided to part ways in 2019 with Patrik K. Svendsen taking the reins to reinvent the band for its next release, the EP entitled “Fuel The Fire” that includes guest appearances from Dirk Verbeuren (Megadeth), Bernt Jansen (Artch/Wig Wam), Björn Strid (Soilwork), Martin Skriubakken (Endezzma) and Oliver Palotai (Kamelot).

Set to be unleashed on July 22nd, “Fuel the Fire” is raw, energetic hard-hitting thrash, with melodic and groovy elements. The record is four songs all composed by Svendsen, each with their unique touch and sound. The EP will not disappoint the Tonic Breed fanbase, the songs are similar to the styling of past TB recordings, but with new enlightening elements such as EP closing track “Blood Moon”, a melodic piece demonstrating some experimental songwriting from Svendsen.

The songs were recorded over 18 months with multiple sound engineers from different countries, along with various guest musicians. Svendsen explains in further detail the decision on continuing as a one-man band and putting out the EP:

“The re-branding of Tonic Breed came to life after the lineup was divided. All the other previous band members started their new band projects, but I had not that same momentum going on at the time. I did not then, or have never since, considered making this a full band again to play live shows with Tonic Breed. At the same time, I had a couple of unfinished songs I wanted to finish. So after a little while, I started to take action and continue my musical path as well. The songs I worked with then were meant for a new project. Every now and then on this journey, I did consider officially ending Tonic Breed with a statement to our fans from time to time. You know, instead of just silently fading away. So while this was happening in one part of my brain, I thrived forward with my songs in another. I experimented with different images and styles of music (within the metal genre). Eventually, I also came up with the idea of having guests onboard. But instead of creating something new, I restarted something old. Small details made me choose this path. Not to forget, it was very spontaneous. My logic at the time was that by releasing the singles within the old name, the fanbase was already there. The music was not too different after all. Also, it gave me reasons to talk about the previous albums and continue to boost life in those. There are many reasons I think back on this choice. If we’re going to look at the practical ones, I have learned that to re-brand a band must be more difficult than starting up something new. But hey, the choice is made, and it is too late to turn around now.”

“Fuel the Fire” is available on all digital platforms Spotify, Apple Music.

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – July 21, 2022

TYRANTS OF CHAOS New Video “T.O.C.” Off Classic Metal Album “Relentless Thirst for Power”

Hailing from Lethbridge, Canada, Tyrants of Chaos is a no-holds-barred traditional heavy metal band in the vein of the big four with a modern twist. They are imminently releasing a new album “Relentless Thirst For Power”, which will be their third, and are introducing it with a music video for the single T.O.C.. They explain in their own words:

“Musically, T.O.C is straightforward, neck wrecking heavy metal. While under the guise of sounding like preparing for battle, it is simply about playing metal shows and entertaining the crowd. A straight-forward headbanger; nothing but pure metal. We believe fans will be blown away by this album and left speechless.”

The new album “Relentless Thirst For Power” covers a lot of topics lyrically, listeners will also be able to dive into the classic Teutonic power metal track “Indoctri-Nation” that focuses on mental health issues; the “No Live Matter” ballad that forces one to confront their mortality; and the classic “Lucky Dog” that is reminiscent of the 80s sounds of the Big 4.

Formed in 2013 for the love and passion of music by guitarist Curtiss Vaselenak and to fill a gap in the local scene, the band originally started as a fun hard rock and metal cover band. After some shuffling, he is now joined by guitarist Arik Wagner, bassist Sean Simpson, drummer Ryan Dyck, and vocalist Phil Sirias who complete the current lineup. With many years of experience between them, they bring professionalism and solid musicianship to both the stage and the studio.

Tyrants of Chaos already have two albums under their belts, “The Calm Before The Storm” (2016) and “Into Oblivion” (2019), and this new offering consists of ten fist-pumping, head-banging tracks that were written specifically for this album. It is just scratching the surface of what the band has in store, they don’t intend to slow down anytime soon.

Heavy and loud, Tyrants Of Chaos delivers a solid pummeling of pure heavy metal. No gimmicks, no gags, just passion, and honesty. They are recommended listening for fans of Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, and Megadeth.

The video for “T.O.C.” can be seen and heard via its premiere on Bravewords HERE.

The album “Relentless Thirst For Power” will be out on August 19, 2022.

#86 Sentinel Daily’s Top 100 Albums of 2022 – Tyrants Of Chaos – Relentless Thirst For Power

“they release a sound that could rattle the very bowels of hell. Which is a pretty good noise to make!… If traditional, thrash-tinged heavy metal is your thing, you should probably get to know Tyrants of Chaos pretty soon! ” – Sentinel Daily

“a thunderous ten-song onslaught featuring the classic sound of traditional heavy metal.” – Metal Roos

“it’s full of chugging traditional metal… if bands like Striker, White Wizzard, Night Demon, Midnight Priest, etc. are in your playlist, you might find something like from Tyrants of Chaos.” – The Metal Crypt

“The band showing diversity from the off – ‘Skull Crusher’ picking up pace to become the fastest song heard so far. And the most melodious too! And with the famous ‘Maiden-esque gallop, ‘Skull Crusher’ plants feet firmly on the monitor. Old school traditional heavy metal at its best.” – Metal Gods TV

“I hereby recommend the third, current long-distance album “Relentless Thirst For Power” by the band from Alberta to every traditional headbanger with a clear conscience.” – Obliveon

“very memorable, powerful pillar riffs that remind you of songs like Mercyful Fate’s “Evil” or Judas Priest’s “Breaking The Law”, the sort of riffs that have a classic feeling.” – Eternal Terror

“Tyrants of Chaos live up to their moniker, making Relentless Thirst for Power a record that most heavy and old school North American power followers could easily get into.” – Dead Rhetoric

“when it comes to hooks, TYRANTS OF CHAOS have delivered a convincing album… fans of classic stainless steel should definitely give it a chance.” – Hellfire Magazin

“On “Relentless Thirst For Power” the band delivers catchy refrains, rich riffs and nice solos almost continuously.” – Powermetal.de

“When it comes to piercing leather lungs, high note ascension, and fierce main melodies, Tyrants of Chaos have the ideal frontman in Phil Sirias – his conviction and delivery during “Slay the Hostages” rivalling the Halford/Dickinson 80’s heydays, yet also showcasing a smoother register in the low range verses of a semi-marching, doom-oriented “No Lives Matter”.” – Dead Rhetoric

“Listeners can expect a strong, engaging twin-guitar foundation that lays down addictive, headbanging rhythms that move through mid-tempo to slightly faster/heavier moments, plus bass/drum rhythm section work which maintains that solid backbone to drive the main swinging hooks home. It’s evident that these gentlemen have studied, enjoyed, and worship at the feet of artists like Megadeth, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Iced Earth, and much missed domestic act 3 Inches of Blood when you take in specific key riffs or soaring screams/ high note escapades during “Skull Crusher” plus “T.O.C.”.” – Dead Rhetoric

““T.O.C.” is the first track off of TYRANTS OF CHAOS’ ‘Relentless Thirst for Power.’ The track is an immediate, fist-pumping, head-banging power metal classic. The next track, “The Black Gap,” will have fans reaching for their air guitars and grooving out.” – Infrared Mag

==================================

The album as a whole (LYRICALLY & MUSICALLY):
Lyrically it covers a range of topics. Musically it’s pure heavy metal from beginning to end. No filler.

Track by track (LYRICALLY & MUSICALLY):
1. T.O.C.
Musically- Straight forward, neck-wrecking heavy metal
Lyrically- While under the guise of sounding like preparing for battle, T.O.C. is simply about playing metal shows and entertaining the crowd.

2. THE BLACK GAP
Musically- It is another heavy-hitting metal banger that the audience can really mosh to.
Lyrically- The Black Gap depicts a time in World War Two history where German U-Boats were sinking large numbers of ships in the unprotected area of the North Atlantic called “The Black Gap”

3. MOURNING SICKNESS (Tyrants Greed part 2)
Musically- A mosh-worthy banger with a darker, sludgier tone.
Lyrically- The lyrics were actually written over 10 years ago. They cover topics such as corruption, greed, ignorance, and turning a blind eye.

4. SKULL CRUSHER
Musically- A fast-paced face-melter filled with intense vocals, shredding guitars, and a thunderous rhythm section.
Lyrically- The lyrics can be interpreted in one of two ways. On the surface, it’s a song about oppression, control, and fear. Below the surface, it is about toxic relationships.

5. SLAY THE HOSTAGES
Musically- A “Priest” style, ear piercing, balls-out metal assault.
Lyrically- Similar to T.O.C. Slay the Hostages sounds like a song about committing crimes and sacrifices but it is simply about playing metal shows and entertaining the crowd.

6. RED RAGE
Musically- a “Maiden” style metal “Scottish jig” if you will.
Lyrically- Red Rage is a historically accurate depiction of the Battle Of Bannockburn.

7. NIGHTMARE MACHINE
Musically- Nightmare Machine is a slightly more progressive and melodic metal song with multiple breakdowns and emotional vocals.
Lyrically- The basic theme for this song in a word is revolution. This song promotes standing up to government overreach and oppression, brothers and sisters joining together as one, and keeping pushing forward no matter the struggle.

8. INDOCTRI-NATION
Musically- A classic Teutonic power metal song with melodic tones.
Lyrically- The lyrics are a story about someone suffering from mental health issues. The story highlights mental fears and follows an unknown individual’s journey through the hardships of life as they contemplate suicide, only to realize the power to overcome their fears is in their own hands.

9. NO LIVES MATTER
Musically- It is a slower ballad-style metal song.
Lyrically- No Lives Matter is about our short existence on this planet, and ultimately our death. It drives home the message that in the end, we all die, so don’t live your life in fear.

10. LUCKY DOG
Musically- a classic, 80’s style, fun, and entertaining heavy rocker.
Lyrically- The lyrics are specifically about NASCAR and racing. The lyrics contain NASCAR slang.

L-R – Sean Simpson – Bass, Curtiss Vaselenak – Rhythm / Lead Guitar, Phil Sirias – Vocals, Arik Wagner – Rhythm / Lead Guitar, Ryan Dyck – Drums

BAND STORY ANGLES / FUN FACTS:

1. The entire band are a bunch of crazy cat people.
2. While playing a sold-out show at a private hall, tensions were high when the Hells Angels walked in. Intimidating? Yes, but they were there, like any other paying patron, to enjoy a rock concert.
3. Curtiss is a huge NASCAR fan so we wrote the song “Lucky Dog” as a shout-out to all the NASCAR and racing fans out there.
4. Phil is a war history nerd. Many songs in our catalog depict historically accurate events that occurred during various battles and times of war.
5. The entire band has an absolutely crazy sense of humor. During band practice, it seems like we’re cracking jokes more than playing. Humor makes us all take ourselves less seriously and keeps us grounded. Humor plays a significant role in keeping the band together as one solid unit.

Our Dying World recently unleashed their new album “Hymns of Blinding Darkness” on June 24th. The record was forged during time off during the Covid pandemic. Initially, a band that was more in the vein of thrashy death, this new record embraces the melodic side of things and presents the band’s new form to the world. They explain further:

“It is an exceptional album of melody, personal experience, and the dedication of trying to push ourselves to our furthest limit. Lyrically, it speaks of many walks of life: sorrow, loss, hopelessness, but also empowerment, triumph, and solitude. There’s something for everyone to relate to in the wake of current times and cultural status. Musically, the record is attempting to stand out with its sophisticated arrangements, catchy hooks, and heavy melodies. It feels like a massive step up from where we were with Expedition and we think it’ll present itself as such.”

On July 9th, Our Dying World hosted their album release show in Santa Ana, CA and captured live shots along with behind the scenes-from the performance plus did a Q & A with band members to give fans more insight behind the band’s songwriting.

Drummer Tommy Tierney explains:

“The band wanted to do something special, showcasing clips of our live release show and we decided to put together a little getting-to-know-you video introducing the guys behind the sound. We wanted to give a little history, some personal details, and talk about what’s on the chopping block next for us. Hymns Of Blinding Darkness has put our hat in the metal ring and we wanted to make sure we gave ourselves the opportunity to talk about what brought the six members to this point that we’re at now.

We’d like to thank Andrew Goldfarb and Jamie Kaufman for shooting, recording, and editing such a stellar video and documentary for us, Gina Vertucci and Stages in Santa Ana, House Of Metal, Vera Leigh, and all the bands that shared the night of our release show with us; Consciously Dying, Anubis, Disrupted Euphoria, Hvile I Kaos, and Mythraeum.

To all the new friends and fans we’ve reached over the course of the last record, thank you for the overwhelming support and friendship you’ve shared with us since the release! We can’t wait for the next one!”

About:

Over the last few years, Los Angeles’s Our Dying World has gone through a tremendous evolution of sound from thrashy death metal of their debut EP Expedition to the symphonic and melodic keyboard-oriented stylings of bands like Children Of Bodom, Nightwish, and Dimmu Borgir.

Formed in 2018 by drummer/guitarist Tom Tierney (ex-Whiplash), the group has played shows all over the USA in their short time together, bringing their sound from the fabled Sunset Strip in Hollywood to the New Jersey Metalfest where they opened for Metal Mike of Halford.

One thing is clear from the young band as they prepare for the release of their second release; they’ve come to stir the standards that hold the metal scene and redefine them.

– 30 –

We’ll make you a solemn promise: Whatever condition you happen to be in now (unless you’re in a coma), the song and video we’re about to present will make you feel orders of magnitude more alive, accelerating your heart-rate, igniting your fast-twitch muscles, and spinning your head like a glorious top. And for those of you who want your music to attack like a pack of rabid dogs, it fills that need, too. The song is “Veil of the Reaper“, and it comes from Hymns Of Blinding Darkness, the forthcoming album by the Los Angeles band Our Dying World. The new album marks a significant departure from the music on their debut, Expedition, moving in directions that may spawn memories of such bands as Children Of Bodom, Nightwish, and Dimmu Borgir, and you’ll get a vivid understanding of that when you hear “Veil of the Reaper“.” – No Clean Singing

“Hymns of Blinding Darkness is an intricate album with lofty pursuits featuring a stunning band makeover.” – Decibel Mag

“As with many great evolutions, Our Dying World took all their best parts and made it huge. This album paces brilliantly and delivers in spades. An overall epic release of their own brand of hard rocking hymns.” – Heavy Mag

“Closing with the excellent Melodic Death Metal-esque piece “Veil of the Reaper”, Our Dying World manages to keep the listener’s attention with soaring guitar melodies, engaging keyboards, and overall solid songs that are well crafted but need more of a personal identity. There are definitely plenty of excellent things about this release that fans of the genre will greatly appreciate, so don’t be afraid and check out this band.” – Infernal Masquerade

“Fans who appreciate equal doses of orchestra and mosh pit will likely dig this passionate full-length debut.” – Angry Metal Guy

“One thing is clear from the young band as they prepare for the release of their second release; they’ve come to stir the standards that hold the metal scene and redefine them.” – Metal Temple

The songs are recorded over a more extended period with multiple sound engineers from different countries, with various musicians as guest appearances. The genre has similarities to the old bay era thrash style, integrated with groove, melodic and heavy elements.

Until 2019, Tonic Breed was a full-pieced metal band, but Patrik K. Svendsen re-branded Tonic Breed to become a one-piece metal project with its first release in early 2021. Patrik is the composer of all songs, but he is not alone. Great company in the form of guest appearances is featured on the EP. Dirk Verbeuren (Megadeth), Björn Strid (Soilwork), and Oliver Palotai (Kamelot) are some of the names that can be heard across the EP.

Discography:
2022 – Fuel the Fire – EP
2018 – Install Memory – LP
2014 – Outsold – LP

BAND STORY ANGLES / FUN FACTS:

1. The music video for Blood Moon was recorded a year before it was publically released.

2. When Patrik first contacted Dirk Verbeuren, he had problems with his recording equipment. Instead of sending a proper demo recording, he sent a MIDI file that was programmed on a computer. The song reminded Dirk of old-school retro gaming music, which he actually liked very much. At least he heard the potential.

3. Bernt Jansen and Patrik know eachother from way back. Being from the same city, Sarpsborg in Norway, Bernt was a music teacher in one of Patrik’s classes. This year marks exactly 20 years since then.

4. Just days after Patrik and Bernt agreed on cooperating on Fuel the Fire, Wig Wam (where Bernt plays bass) reached a worldwide hit song with “Do ya wanna taste it” after it was featured on the Netflix show Peacemaker.

Israel’s StormbounD Shares A Tale of Perseverance w/ Music Video “Child’s Play”

New Album “December” Out Aug 5th

StormbounD, symphonic metal from Israel, have been hard at work to deliver their debut album “December” and now with the release of their fourth single, it is almost time for the album’s long-awaited release. The single “Child’s Play” is one of nine precisely woven stories that reflect on real-world experiences set to fantastical music. The band explains in their own words:

“The lyrics on the album tell some interesting stories, some more personal and some global, convey some harsh messages and themes, and deliver a wide array of emotions. We did our best to bring all of that into a cohesive musical environment within the realm of metal. ‘Child’s Play’ is about the victory of creation, the libidinal energy and one’s motivation over negativity and scorn.”

StormbounD cites that it was a long writing process to get the exact sound that they wanted but they are very pleased with the result and its unique atmosphere and depth. For them, their main focus is on the experience they provide for the listener. It’s about the music, not egos.

Together since 2018, StormbounD has been working hard to make their name known in the local scene by playing many live shows, most recently opening for Epica in Tel Aviv this past June, along with national festivals including Metal 4 Peace and Israeli Metal Fest, they have also had their songs top local metal charts.

“December” is a diverse, and melodic prophecy of wrath with epic highs, and despondent lows. StormbounD masterfully takes symphonic metal to new heights while staying grounded in their roots and remaining accessible. They recommended listening for fans of Nightwish, Within Temptation, and Delain.

The video for “Child’s Play” can be seen and heard via its premiere on Devolution Magazine HERE.

The full album “December” will be released on August 5, 2022.

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – July 15, 2022

GRAVESHADOW Bring The Epic And Symphonic On New Album ‘The Uncertain Hour’

In Stores And Online Now; Tour Kicks Off Today

The Sacramento-based quintet GRAVESHADOW – who deftly mixes symphonic/gothic metal with elements and influences from a variety of styles to create something epic, progressive, melodic, and powerful – release their long-anticipated new effort ‘The Uncertain Hour’ on CD, limited-edition vinyl and digital formats.

“Can’t believe we are here,” claims guitarist William Lloyd Walker. “It’s been a challenging road but I’m incredibly proud to finally release ‘The Uncertain Hour’ for everyone to hear. This group has come together so well on a creative and personal level. I can’t wait to see what the future holds!”

GRAVESHADOW’s third album, ‘The Uncertain Hour,’ was produced by Miss May I guitarist Justin Aufdemkampe (Clutch, War of Ages), mastered by Alberto De Icaza (Crobot, Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist), and features artwork by Roman Ismaylov (Battle Beast, Beast In Black). It sees a new lineup for GRAVESHADOW now augmented by the newfound energy that has been brought into the band by the soaring melodic performance of new vocalist Rachl “Raxx” Quinn and the rumbling rhythm section of new bassist Luci Rae and new drummer Bones Padilla. The returning guitar duo of William Lloyd Walker and Aaron Robitsch once again deliver a beautiful display of guitar histrionics that tastefully mixes searing shred with warm melody, while Aaron even adds some harsh backing vocals. Graveshadow is back on the scene with a story to tell. Intertwining melodic highs and crushing lows to sweep listeners away on a journey of self-discovery, loss, and the will to carry on.

Jewelcase CDs and limited-edition vinyl (200 copies) of ‘The Uncertain Hour’ are available in stores or can be ordered online from www.smarturl.com/graveshadow, as well as digital downloads/streaming.

Three digital singles and videos have been released in the buildup for the album. The first taste of new music from the reformed lineup came with The Witcher-inspired song “Gwynnebleidd” https://youtu.be/XrorDG70g3Q way back in May 2020. It proved the revamped quintet could create new music and be accepted by their existing fanbase and a new audience. Collaborating on more new music further sessions continued and were evidenced by “Soldier Of 34” https://youtu.be/qXDzhkfRjuM and “The Swordsman” (the latter even featuring guest vocals from Chelsea Murphy of Dawn of Ouroboros, Cailleach Calling, and Tegmentum) https://youtu.be/WnFOUN9S4aw.

Additionally, GRAVESHADOW kicks off a headlining run of west coast shows tonight supported by labelmates, Portland’s VINTERSEA who bring their blackened progressive metal to the mix.

GRAVESHADOW “The Uncertain Hour Tour 2022” Dates (w/VINTERSEA):
7/15 – Barmageddon – Tulare, CA
7/16 – The Viper Room – Los Angeles, CA with Novareign

7/20 – Old Nick’s Pub – Eugene, OR
7/21 – Funhouse Seattle – Seattle, WA
7/22 – Dante’s – Portland, OR
7/23 – Cafe Colonial – Sacramento, CA

GRAVESHADOW‘s previous album, 2018’s ‘Ambition’s Price,’ was given accolades by Metal Utopia for being “a great record with lots of great moments for fans of Nightwish and The Birthday Massacre.” Metal Nation praised ‘Ambition’s Price,’ declaring that “GRAVESHADOW has taken what has become a somewhat complacent and stagnant style of metal and breathed fresh life into it, creating something vibrant and memorable.” The fantastical lyrical themes that were explored by the band on ‘Ambition’s Price’ – their debut record for M-Theory Audio and the follow-up to the group’s incubatory 2015 debut full-length ‘Nocturnal Resurrection’ – were applauded by critics and fans alike. The band followed the release of ‘Ambition’s Price’ by winning over new audiences with extensive touring alongside bands such as Arkona, Sirenia, Exmortus, Night Demon, and Unleash The Archers.

0 Rockshots Records – ANTHEA Shares New Video “Empyrean” Off Upcoming Album “Tales Untold” Out August 2022

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – July 15, 2022

Rockshots Records – ANTHEA Shares New Video “Empyrean” Off Upcoming Album “Tales Untold” Out August 2022

Los Angeles symphonic prog metallers ANTHEA will be releasing their sophomore album “Tales Untold” via Rockshots Records this coming August to follow their 2020 debut “Illusion”. Last month they unveiled their first single and title track with a music video (watch here). Today, they share their second single “Empyrean” with a new music video that can be viewed at https://youtu.be/0jKK5a-zgIo

Digital – https://bfan.link/empyrean

The band adds about the track:

“One of the heavier songs on the album, Empyrean is an inspirational piece about overcoming the obstacles in your path and making your dreams come true. Something that we ourselves relate to from playing in the backyards of East LA and Compton as teenagers, to what Anthea has become and where we’re going.”

For the new album “Tales Untold”, Anthea has taken the reigns for a more DIY approach with vocalist Diego Valadez taking over also as the full-length’s producer along with bassist Eric “EJ” Guerrero in charge of music videos and photography.

“We released our debut album in 2020, but were, unfortunately, like everyone else, unable to tour or play live gigs. However, this gave us a lot of extra time to really craft this follow-up album into something special. Tales Untold was written and recorded throughout 2021 and I am so proud of the end result.” adds Valadez.

Fans of Anthea‘s first album “Illusion” will enjoy this one even more. The difference with this next record is that Anthea has a more mature sound and has carefully thought out the ebb and flow throughout it. Their end goal is to give a very dynamic and cinematic album in which the listener feels as though they’ve gone through a grand musical journey once they’ve reached the end.

Anthea is a melodic, symphonic metal band from Los Angeles, CA. With influences from bands like Nightwish, Kamelot, and Wintersun, as well as scores from composers such as Hans Zimmer, John Williams, and Danny Elfman, the band create a unique theatrical sound blending progressive, power, and thrash metal elements, with a grand, cinematic edge.

“Tales Untold” is due out on August 26, 2022.

The band released some demo songs as singles which quickly began gaining attention in the local metal scene. Anthea began playing more live shows around Los Angeles, opening for various bands including Smile Empty Soul, Helion Prime, September Mourning, and many more.

In late 2019, Anthea announced that they would be entering the studio to re-record their singles as well as some new material for an official EP that would be titled “Illusion.” It wasn’t long before the group was contacted by Rockshots Records. The label suggested that instead of releasing an EP, the band should consider recording a full-length debut album. If they did so, Rockshots would release the record under their label. Anthea agreed and began working on more material.

Illusion, the debut album from Anthea was released on October 23rd, 2020 under Rockshots Records. The album has received many positive reviews from several magazines, blogs, and podcasts. The three singles “Moirai”, “Illusion”, and “Reach”, have all gone on to receive international play on various rock and metal radio stations.

The band returns in 2022 with their second album “Tales Untold” due out in August 2022.

“A solid surprise from the USA here.” (5/6) – Scream Magazine (Illusion review – 2020)

“The music and the vocals work together in perfect harmony, whether its through gentler moments or full unashamed bombastic power. Lyrically, Anthea offer a truly poetic experience, elevating a listener’s wonder and imagination to optimum level.” (5 STARS) – MMH Radio (Illusion review – 2020)

“A long-term, melodic debut album, with excellent musical combinations, there are different tempos that can be heard as Thrash metal briefly, they have a strong combination that goes from Symphonic Metal to Power Metal and vice versa, at the beginning they start very Power Metal and end very Symphonic Metal, that gives variety to the album!” (90/100) – Darkzen Dragon (Illusion review – 2020)
