Orlando, Florida’s MEKA NISM welcome new members guitarist Dave Arrieta and drummer Nick Colvin to their live line up. The new members join the band just after MEKA NISM has unleashed their new EP “The War Inside” this past May.Guitarist Bobby Keller comments:
“We are extremely excited about our new members. Nick and Danny have such amazing talent and bring a lot to the table. The energy and chemistry on stage is as if we have been together for decades. The future looks very exciting.”
MEKA NISM‘s sound is powerful, metallic, aggressive, melodic, and in your face. They are a band that fires on all cylinders and with the most charismatic front-woman “Meka”; they have returned in 2018 with their new EP “The War Inside” released on May 10th to follow their three previous releases “Live From The Machine Shop” (Live CD) (2016), “The Shift” (EP) (2015) and “The Dance At The End of The World” (EP) (2013). The band has supported legends like Mastodon, Gojira, The Offspring, Limp Bizkit, Otep and In Flames over the years along with most recently Jonathan Davis (Korn) this past May.
The band’s new EP “The War Inside” stands for the ability to face your inner demons, conquer your internal battles, and to help realize that you can change your life for the better. That message is evident in their latest music video for their infectious song “Trailblazer”, a heavy, fast tune that revolves around the idea of not letting regret or tragedy stop you from living your life to the fullest while you can. Your state of mind can imprison you or set you free.

CREATURES Unleash New Video “Samara” + New EP “II” Out July 20th + Ontario Dates

Spawned in the Toronto murk in 2015, CREATURES is a group effort with a long history that intertwines the lives of numerous local bands to summon a truly devastating soundscape of unbridled chaos. Inspired by bands such as Necrophagist, Despised Icon and Thy Art Is Murder, CREATURES is a 6 piece band playing heavy and catchy deathcore, taking intense sounds and mixing in small elements of extreme and black metal.
Almost immediately after forming, CREATURES released a 4 track self-titled EP. A varied sampling of the musical talents from the band helped them gain the interest of fans in the local scene and they played several shows with great reception. Taking great pride in live performances, Creatures embodies all the aspects of showmanship with high energy and audience involvement.
Three years later, in 2018, they’re set to unleash their second offering the “II” EP unto the world through their own independent label Old Haunt Records on July 20th. The songs reach into a large porcelain cup of topics and instead of just merely presenting their themes to their listeners, CREATURES smashes the cup in their faces, making sure their themes cut deep and stay with the listeners. Whether they are lyrics about the futility of existence with a cartoon metaphor, or the bond of brotherhood within an intense party setting, there is a message for everyone to latch onto. Regardless, the songs are a visceral insight into the band’s life.

The band explains how their name came into being: “We chose the name Creatures because we wanted to keep the name simple but at the same time incite a somewhat menacing image. We all really enjoy creepy/haunting imagery and felt that this name would allow for us to incorporate that into the artwork/imagery as well.”
