Blending a sound that is a complex mix of classical orchestrations, cosmic synths, and extreme metal to portray the epics of parallel worlds, Hickory, N.C. based RAPHEUMETS WELL (Ra-few-mets) bring forth a voyage enriched with lore, fabricated from scratch to show the depth in which represents them as artists.
Formed in 2008, 2011 and 2012 saw their first two demos followed by their first self release full length ‘Dimensions’ unleashed in 2014 that progressively told a larger story portrayed in a complex saga of Atai (ancient architects) who aid in the propagation of sentient life throughout the multi-verse.
From the birth of organic matter to great wars that tear the fabric of space/time, the story of RAPHEUMETS WELL‘s music serves to immerse you into a world of oddities, which is now continued in the band’s sophomore release ‘The Exile’ due out on March 18th, 2016 via Test Your Metal Records.

“Our first single Resurrecting the Blood Gate is one of our more aggressive songs which highlights the the central plot of the story on the upcoming album The Exile. Since our music is very story driven, we were excited to create this amalgamation of orchestral sounds and brutal metal to represent the emotions each of the characters are feeling. As such Resurrecting the Blood Gate was our first choice to help sum up the experience to come from our album in its entirety. We have a lot of good things coming thanks to the help of Grant and Test Your Metal Records as we have been hard at work making a full video titled “Crucible of Titans” which will be coming in March. We look forward to the fans hearing our new direction as well as the critiques which can only help us grow.”

About:
Inspired by the fictitious universe of Sovael, RAPHEUMETS WELL is the name coined to the conscious deity who oversees the anastomosis of the multiverse, the master of portals and inter-dimensional travel. Being personified as a trickster, Rapheumet often creates chaos for unsuspecting voyagers. The word “Well” refers to the gravity wells, which like black holes, are catalyst of change and gateways between the cosmic plains.
“We created this name in hopes of personifying a living gateway between dimensions. We love science fiction and a few of us have extended education and degrees in science.” says drummer Joshua Ward.
Live the band’s concert theatrics is a show truly to entertain the crowd with an opus of metal while still satisfying their story lines in their music creating an intimate but relatable ambiance for fans, especially those who enjoy bands such as Dimmu Borgir, Fleshgod Apocalypse, The Faceless, Emperor, Black Crown Initiate.

About:
Like Animals are breaking free of the constricting chains of modern music and are busy creating their own uninhibited style of spastic-math-metal graced with emotionally-charged vocals. Like a wild animal each member maintains a sense of chaos through their arpeggio guitar and bass sections, unorthodox drums peppered with dynamic changes, and finally tempered by the wavering vocals soaring just slightly above the instrumentals both in tone and feeling. The beasts within the band each perform vocal duties a sound akin to a coyote-esque choir featuring Jamie Haffenden on guitar and lead vocals, Will Tennant on drums, Myke Caouette on bass.
Their name is synonymous with their song-writing and attitude, where they are part of a pack, but still remain hungry and solitary, like a stray animal. Their 400-show track record over the years reveals their dedication to their craft having shared the stage with such bands as Fuck The Facts, Dog Fashion Disco, Adrenechrome, Downtown Brown, Scale The Summit, Polkadot Cadaver, Teethmarks and many more.
With four animal-themed EPs in tow (‘Sweet Whispers, Plagued Ears, The Undertoad, The Wild) and their new release called ‘Feral’ due out on January 22nd, 2016, the band is constantly working to create a continuously more mature and higher caliber sound. The group hunts and writes as a unit by drafting and evolving each song with each giving their own input.
Lyrics contend with themes such as: self-doubt, lack of self-worth, depression, anxiety, and the like. Like Animals continue to push the boundaries of the several genres which they base their experimental music on while committing to the best music they can produce.
