NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – February 9, 2018

For fans of Kamelot, Symphony X, Alter Bridge, Tesseract

RED CAIN Premiere New Video “Snakebouquet” via Bravewords.com

Debut Album “Kindred” To Be Released In 2018

Born out of the emerging metal scene of Calgary, AB, RED CAIN is a modern melodic metal project with European roots. With intricate songwriting, a heavy yet melodic feel reminiscent of progressive acts, and eerie ambient elements, RED CAIN champion a fluid, dynamic, and unique musical style centered around telling dark, conceptual Faustian sagas and constructing those into an unforgettable live experience. Described by frontman Evgeniy Zayarny as wanting to bring back the “Devil’s music” mysticism all too often missing in modern metal acts, RED CAIN delivers flair, groove, and an intricate, lethal edge in their music. Listeners might well pick out elements reminiscent of such luminary acts as Kamelot, Symphony X, Tesseract, Draconian, Marilyn Manson, whipped into a venomous new shape. The current incarnation of the band is all of these influences mixed with a lot of vodka and Eastern European melancholy, shaken and stirred.

Unleashing their self-titled EP in 2016, RED CAIN are returning in 2018 with a debut full length entitled “Kindred” planned for later release this year. Produced by Sascha Laskow (Every Hour Kills, ex-Divinity) with the band at Perfect Filth Studios, RED CAIN are ready to reveal their new video for their first single “Snakebouquet” premiered exclusively on Bravewords.

Check out the video below!

The band comments:

“We are thrilled to release this music video for the single “Snakebouquet” after a long wait spent working on our sound and our debut full-length album. We filmed this clip at the historic Slaughterhouse Studios in Calgary, and worked with local filmmaker Zak Kelly, who did an absolutely killer job recreating our vision. With the “Snakebouquet” video, we wanted to capture the feel of our live performances and, of course, tell a story – a story of humanity’s reach toward the stars, powered by mysticism, bravery, pure will, and scientific achievement. We dedicate this song to those fearless men and women who have taken, and continue to take, humanity’s first steps into the void. The theme of human transcendence and the clash of old and new myths are central to our upcoming album “Kindred”, so “ad astra sine metu” – “to the stars, without fear”, and have a taste of what is to come!”

“Snake Bouquet” single download available on Bandcamp here.

Full stream of their 2016 self-titled EP available on Bandcamp here.

Digital download of RED CAIN available on iTunes, CD Baby plus digipak CD on Bandcamp.

About:

Red Cain released its debut self-titled EP in November 2016 to rave of excellent reviews from a variety of publications such as Dead Rhetoric, MetalUnderground, and Firewind magazine, among many others. The band has a strong emerging fanbase around the world, being named one of the top 200 bands of 2016 by Headbangers Latinoamerica and the EP’s cover art selected as one of 2016’s 15 best by Metal Underground.Evgeniy Zayarny’s trademark powerful, dark clean vocals and storytelling depth overlay meticulous, inventive guitarwork and dueling solos of guitarists Brendan Doll and Noah Bockmuehl, as well as Rogan McAndrews’ groove and intelligent basslines – all backed by symphonic brilliance and Taylor Gibson’s thunderous precision behind the drums. Red Cain is a rare mix of articulate songwriting, heavy, groove-filled instrumentals, and evocative, rich vocals – all creating a memorable and dramatic musical experience.

Montreal, QC – January 16, 2018

Antichrist Mag Video Premiere BURIED REALM “Unscrupulous”

New Album Out Now “The Ichor Carcinoma” ft. All Star Metal Guests

Josh Dummer (all instruments and vocals) – Photo Credit – Tamara Clarke

A true visionary is a rare thing; but such a man is Josh Dummer. Providing all instruments and vocals on his creation BURIED REALM‘s debut, “The Ichor Carcinoma”with the exception of some very exciting guests such as Bob Katsionis (Firewind, Septicflesh), Brandon Ellis (Arsis, The Black Dahlia Murder, Cannabis Corpse), Christopher Amott (Arch Enemy, Armageddon), Dean Paul Arnold (Vital Remains), Marios Iliopoulos (Nightrage), Peter Wichers (Soilwork), Ryan Strain (Recode The Subliminal), Teemu Mäntysaari (Wintersun) and Travis Montgomery (Threat Signal, Jeff Loomis band). Dummer is a man who is not afraid to gaze into the abyss for music and lyrical inspiration.
Inspired by Opeth, Kreator, Old Man’s Child, Symphony X (and tons of old Hair Metal!); Dummer describes BURIED REALM‘s music as ‘fierce, cutting, technical, melodic, and memorable’. The studio project represents a hidden dimension within himself where the ‘buried disputes’ of his life are confronted only through music; where he can express musical ideas without compromising.
Teaming up with Antichrist Mag, Dummer reveals his latest lyric video “Unscrupulous”.
“This was the last song written. Almost anthem-esque. “Unscrupulous“ is the darkest and heaviest song on the album. This one is a message to the filth and greed of our society. The people that remain to live in a terrible environment, play the victim card, but won’t do anything to change their situation – taking no responsibility and existing without honor. Dean Paul Arnold (Vital Remains) is featured yet again on this song.” says Dummer.

“On this album he proves himself to be some kind of instrumental wizard, and a vocal chameleon as well. But he has also surrounded himself with an array of guests that shines like a metal constellation in the night sky.” – No Clean Singing

“Given that The Ichor Carcinoma has so many guests, it stands to reason that it has a diverse sound, ranging from hyper-speed solos, breakdowns, a mixture of screams and clean singing and more, but at the end of the day, it can be classified as an impressive melodic death metal debut.” – Decibel Magazine

“From the very beginning of this track (Apeiron II: Global Dreamer), the riffing is here to cut your limbs ready to cook a nice melodic stew. Are you with me? Shades of Scar Symmetry, At the Gates, Hypocrisy, early Nightrage, late Soilwork and a fine slice of that machine gun style technical death metal drumming are found here. A delicious plate that I know will please a good bunch of my fellow seekers of melodic metal.” – Toilet  Ov Hell

“”Buried Realm’s debut album The Ichor Carcinoma, which sees the next chapter in the soul key band member Josh Dummer’s, emotionally charged dark twisted vision come to life in the form of a hard hitting, electrifyingly intense experience for fans of Heavy Metal to experience and enjoy.” – Noizze UK  “After the melodic and haunting intro ‘Portal’ sets the tone for the album, listeners are treated to a full-frontal assault in the form of the album’s title track, ‘The Ichor Carcinoma’. This no holds barred shredfest is a perfect demonstration for what is yet to come, and a fantastic introduction to the sound that Buried Realm mastermind Josh Dummer has spent so many years working on. The track also showcases the first of many guest appearances on the album, with Bob Katsionis (Firewind, Revolution Renaissance) letting all hell loose in one of the most daring keyboard solos you’re likely to hear all year.” – Overdrive Mag

“There’s plenty of ear-candy to be found on The Ichor Carcinoma – be it in the form of aggressive melodeath riffing, soaring leads, or sheer vocal variety. While it doesn’t stray far outside of the genre realms, there’s only a handful of releases that one can think of in recent memory that execute it with this much passion and finesse. With its time of release, one hopes that the album doesn’t become lost in the mix of fall juggernauts. This is too strong to be overlooked.” – Dead Rhetoric

“There is more than enough content to shred your ears within The Ichor Carcinoma and more than enough to keep you listening over and over again, and that is just what this release does.” – Cadaver Garden

“Usually one man bands tend to sound almost amateurish due to their lack if input from other musicians, but every now and again you get one that does it well. The Ichor Carcinoma, from Buried Realm is one of those albums.” – Demons Zone

““Apeiron II – Global Dreamer” – Part 2 of the “Apeiron” series. This track is more upbeat than part 1, but has a similar message, lyrically. It’s about the passionate and talented people of our society getting swooped up by addiction, bad habits and self-doubt, expecting to have everything handed to them without putting forth the effort (or working on self-improvement). Follow your dreams and goals, but work hard to achieve what you want in life. Guitarist Travis Montgomery (Threat Signal/ Jeff Loomis Band) is shredding on this track along with vocals by Ryan Strain.” says Dummer.

The studio project represents a hidden dimension within himself where the ‘buried disputes’ of his life are confronted only through music; where he can express musical ideas without compromising.
Eager for the fans to hear his debut album, Dummer reflects.

“I feel that listeners can appreciate it, not only on a musical level but hopefully enjoy the listening experience too. This album was a long time in the making and hopefully that translates. ‘The Ichor Carcinoma’ was originally supposed to be an EP. However, I had too many pre-production demos and didn’t want to scrap them, so I decided on a full-length, which fans can expect many guests across the entire album!”

Not afraid to draw deep from a painful wellspring of inspiration, Dummer adds.

“Many people close to me, myself included, have been though unfortunate life-threatening situations recently.  No one is invincible and everyone walks though life like they are…I couldn’t ignore those events when it came to writing lyrics for this release. Some of the songs go into further detail about the terror I’ve experienced and personal demons I’ve faced. The lyrics are about the mental and physical battles of terminal illness/diseases and the attempt to rebuild.”

Teaming up with NoCleanSinging.com, Dummer reveals his second single “Asphyxiation’s Lullaby”, which features guests guitarist Teemu Mäntysaari (Wintersun) and vocalist Ryan Strain (Recode The Subliminal).

“Lyrically, this song entertains the idea of entering the spiritual realm of sleep paralysis, and pulling through the depths of such darkness. Anyone that experiences this knows how freaky it is. Another aggressive and “in your face” tune.” says Dummer.

“Lyrically, this song entertains the idea of entering the spiritual realm of sleep paralysis, and pulling through the depths of such darkness. Anyone that experiences this knows how freaky it is. Another aggressive and “in your face” tune.” says Dummer.

Montreal, QC – August 18, 2017

For fans of Soilwork, Symphony X, Dissection, Kreator, Carcass

One Man Band BURIED REALM To Unleash “The Ichor Carcinoma” Sept 29th w/ All Star Metal Guests

New Noise Mag Premiere Guitar Playthrough For Album Title Track

Teaming up with New Noise Magazine, Dummer reveals his shredding skills with a guitar playthrough video for the album’s title track “The Ichor Carcinoma”. The track also features guests Bob Katsionis (Firewind/ ex-Septicflesh) and Peter Wichers (ex-Soilwork).

““The Ichor Carcinoma” – The title track of the album… This was the second song I wrote for the record. The riffs are racing and melodies/ solos are flying all over the place. The lyrics are about the mental and physical battles of terminal illness, personal demons and the attempt to rebuild.” says Dummer.

“Out of Montreal, Quebec, Canada could be the next big musical act in the world of instrumental progressive metal, and that band is known as CYDEMIND…The beauty of this record is that the entire record stands out, yet the flow of the musicianship and arrangements flow together like that expensive wine that is aged over time and that cheese that is cured to where it has its perfect, exquisite taste to it. ” – Muen Magazine

“A lush and atmospheric journey that brings brisk mountain air into my lungs” – Metal Trenches

“Bottom line, “Erosion” is a glorious album that is worthy of any Metal… nay, any music collection. It’s simply wonderful music to listen to.” – 925 Rebellion
