NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – April 9, 2021

For fans of Iron Maiden, Queensryche, Savatage, Jag Panzer

Rockshots Records: Greek Prog Power Illusory Shares “All Blood Red” Off Upcoming Album “Crimson Wreath”

New Album “Crimson Wreath” Out May 21, 2021

Set to release their third full-length “Crimson Wreath” on May 21, 2021 via Rockshots Records, Greece’s prog power Illusory are sharing the record’s third single “All Blood Red”.

“All Blood Red is a melodic song with strong lyrics and a ‘Maidenish’ essence in the middle part. It is the only song off the album that we have performed in previous gigs, in raw editions every time. The reaction of the fans was astonishing, even though they have never heard it before. We share the same blood. All people share the same blood, regardless of skin color, sex, sexual orientation, religion, economic status, financial comfort, personal beliefs. We sing about it, we speak about it, we act about it. After all, “when all is gone, all blood is red”!” adds the band.

“All Blood Red” can be heard at the following links:

YouTube (lyric video): https://youtu.be/3Amq-A7CHOQ

Spotify: https://spoti.fi/39WpYz4

Having opened for such legendary acts Blue Oyster Cult, Warrel Dane, Geoff Tate, and Gus G, Illusory‘s new album “Crimson Wreath” is the next step in their widely praised evolution to follow 2016’s Polysllabic (7hard/7us) and 2013’s “The Ivory Tower” (The Leaders Records).

Melodic, riffy, cerebral, and complex “Crimson Wreath” is a very emotional and melodic release, yet heavy and strong at the same time. Both new fans and ones who have been listening to the band for years will indulge themselves in this latest offering of classic, progressive, epic, and thrashy performances. Lyrical themes found on “Crimson Wreath” are mostly anti-war, but the full length also includes a thematic unit consisting of three songs that deal with human loss.

The band comments:

“Crimson Wreath” has a very warm and solid sound and we feel very proud of the production we have done for it. It is an album that we recorded during one of the toughest times of our lives. We self-produced it with Yiannis and Dee doing an exceptional job mixing and mastering the tracks. It just sounds humongous! We feel we truly captured what we wanted to achieve in C.W.”

For fans of Iron Maiden, Queensryche, Savatage, Jag Panzer, Illusory‘s “Crimson Wreath” is available for pre-order at the following link: http://bit.ly/CrimsonWreathCD

Rockshots Records: Finland Prog Power Ultimatium Shares New Music Video “Ghost of Yesterday”

New Album “Virtuality” Out Now!

Finland power proggers Ultimatium are sharing their new music video “Ghost of Yesterday” in support of their epic theme album “Virtuality” released this past November via Rockshots Records.

Music Video – https://youtu.be/Cr6UWTO5-uQ

Ultimatium was birthed out the deep forests of Suomussalmi, Finland. Their 4th studio full-length “Virtuality” follows their independently released “Vis Vires Infinitus” (2015), “New Dawn” (2004, Mastervox Records), and “Hwainoo” (2008, Mastervox Records).

The premise behind “Virtuality” is an introduction of a storyline of four gamers getting stuck in a virtual reality game in a near-future setting. Packed with five amazing lead vocalists, Peter James Goodman (Conquest, ex-Virtuocity), Jukka Nummi (ex-Myon), Emily Leone, Tomi Viiltola (ex-Dreamtale, Perpetual Rage, Viilto) and Matti Auerkallio (Katra, Manzana, SoulFallen), “Virtuality” is a unique storyline about the virtual world, and the dangers of sharing everything in social media, along with up-tempo power metal songs combined with darker elements.

The story album is backed up with lots of background vocals, sound effects and a “narrator”/system voice synthesized with Amazon’s Alexa.

The album introduces the best parts of power and progressive metal combined, including easier up-tempo songs, but also long, progressive mid-tempo tracks. The songs take influence from such bands as Stratovarius, Dream Theater, Symphony X and Rainbow. Especially on tracks “Digital Tower” and “Ghost of Yesterday” where influences from Ronnie James Dio and Ritchie Blackmore are easily heard.

There is a strong bridge in the middle, with some really big-sounding guitars and a tribal drumming part, which leads into a twin-guitar melody followed by keyboards and a great vocal bridge! “Crimson Wreath” is about a land invasion nowadays and it describes the emotions of the people who woke up under attack.“ adds the band.

American traditional heavy metal act Rivetskull has a new video for their single “Narcissus” in support of their debut album “Trail of Souls” recently released on February 7, 2020.

Rivetskull brings a comforting familiarity reminiscent of 70’s-80’s metal/hard rock albeit with a modern twist. On “Trail of Souls” there are a few longer “epic” songs, and some shorter almost punk heavy pop songs, if you will. Something for everyone for various moods. The band expands their view of the album:

“We’d like to think we did a good job of delivering something that is familiar, yet fresh. Our musical tastes are all over the board and I think that comes across without being too manic and all over the place hopefully! Though it’s not a concept album or anything, there is a common theme that carries throughout the album and ties it all together.”

Stoked to get their music out to fans, Rivetskull acknowledges the growing demand for “NWOTHM” New Wave Of Traditional Heavy Metal and are excited about the response they’ve gotten in such a short time. The single “Narcissus” explores humanity dealing with narcissists from neighbors and friends to world leaders with a captivating visual story.

For fans of Dio, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, and Rainbow, the video can be watched via its premiere on Metal-Rules.com HERE.

Inspired by legendary pillars of heavy metal such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, The Scorpions, and Rush, IRON KINGDOM is well known for their energetic and electrifying stage presence, as well as intricate musical melodies that bring listeners back to a time when the genre was in its prime.

This past October, the band unleashed their latest album “On The Hunt” along with kicking off a two-month North American tour in support of the full-length. Now recharged after a short break home in Vancouver, BC, the full force DIY Canadian heavy metallers announce they will be crossing the Atlantic for six-show dates in Europe that include performing at Full Metal Osthessen Festival (DE) and Swordbrothers Metal Fest (DE) plus a show date supporting Vicious Rumors (all dates listed below).

Vocalist/guitarist Chris Osterman adds:

“After our last tour of Europe in 2014, we knew that they held heavy metal very close to their hearts, and we knew it was something very special for the genre. Europe was always on our minds, it was always a conversation at rehearsals and band meetings, but for one reason or another, we kept having to delay our return. You know it really is quite strange to think it’s been six whole years since we performed there, We’re so honoured and excited to have been invited back, and we are so thankful to say that now the wait is over, it’s truly been far too long!  We will see you soon!! But until then, just remember to Keep It Steel!”

IRON KINGDOM‘s latest album “On The Hunt” offers up nine traditional heavy metal influenced tracks that translate well into a live setting, which is paramount for the band who take great pride in their live show. Fans of the bands such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Queensryche, and Helloween will revel in IRON KINGDOM.

BIO:

Inspired by legendary pillars of heavy metal such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, The Scorpions, and Rush, Iron Kingdom is well known for their energetic and electrifying stage presence, as well as intricate musical melodies that bring listeners back to a time when the genre was in its prime.

Formed in Surrey, Canada, in June of 2011, Iron Kingdom’s intent was to fill the gap of bands that are heavy, but not extreme, melodic but not mainstream, technical but approachable. ‘Curse Of The Voodoo Queen’ was released on Dec 14, 2011, and the band took the opportunity to tour western Canada, along with an appearance on the CTV Show, Canada’s Got Talent (viewership of 1 million on that episode). With the debut album finishing its cycle, the group decided it was time to record a new album, and by April 26, 2013, ‘Gates Of Eternity’ was released. Garnering strong reviews and attention from around the world, Iron Kingdom was invited to perform at Germany’s Keep It True XVII festival.

Following this massive milestone, Iron Kingdom set out to pursue as many opportunities as they could spending some serious time on the road through Canada in 2013, Europe in 2014, followed by a tour in the USA with California’s Night Demon. The band had created some major momentum and Iron Kingdom were spreading their moniker far and wide in support of the first two releases.

On July 30, 2015, Iron Kingdom released not one but two more albums, ‘Ride For Glory’, their 3rd full-length album, as well as ‘Unleashed At The Kraken (Live In Seattle)’, an exclusive live E.P. recorded on a previous tour.  The band set out on the road again in support of the two new releases. The tour was unfortunately riddled with many trials, including a vehicle accident that almost killed the band members. Life on the road continued, including a massive North American tour in 2016, as well as a tour in Brazil in a supporting slot for former frontman of Iron Maiden, Blaze Bayley.

As of 2019, with a new lineup and a new album ‘On The Hunt’ on its way, Iron Kingdom will once again be ready to take the world by storm and aid in the revival of the mighty and classic sounds of Traditional Heavy Metal.

“their latest work is the most refined Iron Kingdom album. One word obligatory item for old heavy school freaks.” – Power Metal Warrior (Poland) (Ride For Glory Review 2015)

“This is a tremendous throwback into the (first) golden age of metal.” – Merchants of Air (Belgium) (Ride For Glory Review 2015)

““Gates Of Eternity” could prove to be one of the most important discoveries in 2013 for U.S. Metal lovers.” – Rock Hard Magazine (Germany) (Gates of Eternity Review  2013)

“Sometimes you just want some glorious old school metal that makes you want to batter a dragon to death. Iron Kingdom are said band and from the opening track, At The Gates, I’m sold. When we reach Crowned In Iron we truly reach old school metal at its finest” – Sound the Charge (Scotland) (Gates of Eternity Review  2013)

“I want an Iron Kingdom/Voodoo Queen Baseball Tee so I can blast this album and try to sing along, banging my head and driving to the stadium in my Trans Am to drink cans of Bud in the parking lot before the Iron Kingdom show! I wish it was the 80’s right now.” –  Metal Titans (Canada) (Curse of the Voodoo Queen Review 2011)
