During their 10 year career, THE SLYDE has recorded and released two albums ‘Awakening’ (2018) and ‘Feed The Machine’ (2011) along with four EPS, ‘Back Again’ (2017), ‘New World Sympathy’ (2012), ‘The Slyde II’ (2010) and ‘The Slyde I’ (2009). Before they hit the road for the Ontario tour during September, THE SLYDE will be performing on August 2nd at Wacken Open Air in Germany, a festival with an attendance of over 80,000. The band comments:
“We are pleased that we made it 10 years doing what we love to do. And it couldn’t be better, in terms of timing, that we are chosen as the Canadian reps for the Wacken Metal Battle international final – which we are beyond stoked for. For the tour, we’ll be doing some songs we haven’t played in years, and we hope to see some longtime fans in attendance. And after the tour, we’ll be hitting the studio to release something special for our 10 year anniversary, so look out for that come Christmas time. Here’s to another 10 years!”

TheCirclePit Video Premiere TripleMurder’s ‘Cannibalistic’
Debut EP “Pre-Meditated” Out Fall 2019

Badass, but in a tasteful way is the best way to describe the debut single and video ‘Cannibalistic’ from Ottawa’s TripleMurder. The song comes from the band’s forthcoming debut EP “Pre-Meditated” slated for release later this fall and is a flurry of blood, guts, and breakdowns.
TripleMurder is a band with a lot to offer their listeners, everything from chunky groovy riffs, blast beats, to breakdowns and two-steps and everything in between they refuse to be set into one specific genre and consistently break rules over the course of their 6 song EP. They see their EP as a wake-up call, which they explain further:
“We believe that it should be received as a wake-up call to the metal industry that you don’t have to confine yourself to a certain subgenre of metal to write heavy tunes. It’s all about having fun and showing off everybody’s musical tastes in the band.”
With the single, TripleMurder is looking to send their listeners into a state of awe, and be content with hearing a wide variety of elements, and techniques that keep the music creative and unique. Metal fans of all kinds, from death metal to core fans will appreciate this effort from TripleMurder.

BIO:
With the idea of forming a band without musical boundaries or constrictions, TripleMurder has made it a point to breathe new musical life into the metal scene. Triple Murder is here to make listeners question what they think about pigeonholing bands into sub-genres, offering everything from chunky groovy riffs, blast beats, to breakdowns and two-steps and everything in between. With lyrical themes involving the state of the human race, politics and social media scares to just everyday life and human interactions, TripleMurder brings an in-your-face live show to the stage in a brilliant display of headbanging, jumping, power stomping, running and tons of other antics! Their first EP ‘Pre-Meditated’ from TripleMurder is set to be released fall 2019, with more material in the works!

“The band was eager to showcase their skills (as it was their third show as a band) and did they ever deliver. With song titles like Cannibalistic, it was no surprise that the crowd began to get rowdy and mosh. Members of the crowd being eager to move, their energy being uncontainable that they opted to hang from the venue rafters in their excitement.” – Splice Media Group
“TripleMurder brings that Pantera meets 2000s metalcore stuff in the best way possible.” – Ghostblade
“Great live band and lots of elements of old school death/thrash and modern metal in the mix. Never a dull moment in their music.” – Andrew Depedro Charlton (KNAC.com)

OMINOUS ECLIPSE Are ‘Breaking The Chains’ With New Lyric Video
New Album “Sinister” Out Now!

Drawing their inspiration from a wide variety of genres, OMINOUS ECLIPSE is a brutal quartet that create a unique hybrid sound with death metal being the main aspect combined with elements of thrash, groove, black, melodic, etc. Unleashing their sophomore album “Sinister” this past September, the band have put together a new lyric video for their track “Breaking The Chains” premiered on Bravewords.com.
Watch it now at the following link: http://bravewords.com/news/exclusive-ominous-eclipse-premieres-breaking-the-chains-lyric-video
For those in the Ottawa area, OMINOUS ECLIPSE will be performing on December 11th opening for The Faceless, Rings of Saturn, Vales of Pnath and more at Mavericks. Full details here.
“Sinister” is now streaming at the following link: https://youtu.be/PWKEeTguj-w
Plus available on Bandcamp, iTunes, Amazon, Google Play and Spotify.
Music Video – “Sinister” – https://youtu.be/ZkCr2u_wHfs
The band comments:
“There’s no concept or theme on this album so all the songs have different meaning. The title track itself divulges into the inevitable end to humanity and potentially the world with it. It discusses the issues around the globe and also addresses the ignorance and selfishness of those indirectly affected by the chaos. It has a strong “United We Stand, Divided We Fall” theme in regards to how people can turn their backs on those in need in order to save their own skin, which ironically will lead to our end as it causes people to turn on each other. Musically for this album, you will notice we have evolved from the first release and have moved away from thrashy overtones to become more diverse including more heavily stated melodic and technical with a solid groove and death foundation.”
“Sinister” follows their 2015 debut full length “End Of Days” and EP “Beyond The Apocalypse” released that same year. Active since 2014, OMINOUS ECLIPSE is a very ambitious band passionate about writing and playing extreme music. They have already shared the stage with the likes of Revocation, The Agonist, Kalmah, Archspire, Incantation, Vesperia, Beyond Creation, Rivers of Nihil to name a few.

“Their new song “Spiral Into Insanity” has a strong death metal foundation, including very melodic leads, but there’s more than enough groovy thrash inspiration and even a hint of black metal there. ” – Decibel Magazine
“a game changing release for Ominous Eclipse that places them center stage for my pick of the best Canadian Metal release this year….Every track stands strongly on its own, thanks to the band’s immense talent and flawless production. Ominous Eclipse is a band that carries the banner for the N.W.O.C.D.M. with pride and distinction. Out September 14th on all streaming platforms, I would recommend Sinister to fans of Death, Iron Maiden, Infernal Majesty and Gojira.” – Hellbound
“Demonstrating their ability to blend genres within metal to create a compelling album, this is an impressive sophomore delivery. Each track brings something different and feels refreshing even after multiple listens.” – Splice Magazine
“‘Sinister’ is a high-energy track launched by heartless riff jabs, ear-scouring string squeals, and neck-snapping drumwork. The vocals come for your throat, too, in an effusion of heartless roars and face-scraping shrieks, and the song is accented by flurries of spidery, darting fretwork and by a pair of flashy, fluid, but demented solos. It becomes a thrashing gallop, but without becoming any less venomous in its delivery.” – No Clean Singing
“The crowd was stellar at Mavericks, where each of the four bands were well represented by their fan bases. Opening on the night were Ominous Eclipse, whose chunky, frantic thrash metal din was led by their howling frontman. Largely drawing from their 2015 album End of Days, the four-piece pounded through six songs, tackling tracks like “Pestilence,” Abandoned” and the album’s particularly solid title track. Helping to limber the crowd for the chaos to come, they called for a “wall of death” in the confines of the club and the fans delivered, clearing the centre of the floor before the opposing sides barrelled into one another, bodies flying everywhere.” – Exclaim! Formed in 2006 in Ottawa, Canada; Killitorous is made up of current and former members of Suffocation, Cryptopsy, Annihilator and a myriad of other bands. Determined to sound like a combination of their one million favorite death metal bands they envelop technical death metal in an eternal party. A bit cheeky and a metric fuck ton of fun, Killitorous is that raunchy but charismatic friend who fuels every party. Working together in 90’s style, Aaron Homma (guitar) writes the main bits (sometimes with members of other bands), Nick Miller (guitar) and Marc Roy (guitar) sprinkle in the harmonies, Eric Morotti (drums) thickens the sauce and the lyrics are written together.
“It’s fucked up really if you think about it”, quips Mat Dhani (vocals), “We name the songs first, which are based on the funniest most memorable topics and scenarios we could come up with. Some true, mostly crazy.”
The demo “Pretend to Make Babies” was released in 2010 and their debut full-length album “Party, Grind” was released in 2014. 5 years later, the continuation of that album will be released in 2019, the aptly named “AfterParty”. It’s more melodic in sound but they’ve ramped up the technically with 3 no- stop guitar harmonies. Killitorous is a chaotic concoction, best described as technical party chaos death grind and it’s a true 90s death metal experience complete with one hell of an AfterParty!

Ottawa Death Metal Hybrid OMINOUS ECLIPSE Posts ‘End of Days’ Lyric Video
Upcoming Show Dates:
May 28 – Ottawa, ON – Mavericks – w/ Aegaeon, Depths of Hatred, A Scar For The Wicked, Ooluu – info

Forging death metal with elements of thrash, groove, black, and melodic tones, Ottawa, ON’s hybrid force OMINOUS ECLIPSE has posted a new lyric video for the title track from their latest album ‘End of Days’ released in 2015, which was an immediate follow up to their 2014 debut EP ‘Beyond The Apocalypse’. The band recently opened for Kalmah and Vesperia earlier this month and have just been announced once again as local support for Aegaeon and Depths of Hatred for their tour stop in Ottawa on May 28th.
Vocalist/ guitarist Graham Murphy comments on the lyric video:
“End Of Days,” the title speaks for itself. We took an “end of the world” concept and used a “balance of light and darkness” theme with a biblical topic. The idea is “Death,” symbolized as darkness, shadowing over the world to consume all life. Humanity turns to “God,” symbolized as light, in hope for salvation. God is the one who sent Death seeing us as being undeserving of the gift of life. Although the song may come off as trying to preach morals from a religious sense, we are really just portraying an apocalypse themed song where both light and darkness are our enemy.”

After a busy summer releasing their debut full length “721835”on August 1, 2014 plus touring the USA, the United Kingdom (tour recap on PureGrainAudio.com here) and an upcoming opening slot for He His Legend in Kingston, ON November 17th. Ottawa, ON neo-rock nerdsDouble Experience will be touring intimate Ontario venues for their “Night of the Living Room” Tour, which will feature the band literally redecorating and furnishing the venues and stages with comforts from home, including their collection of video games with a TV; perfect for challenging fans to win some prizes in-between sets.
“It was great to finally be home after all the travelling we did, but every musician out there can relate to that constant need to tour,” says Brock Tinsley, guitarist. “We figured there had to be some way to combine the comforts of both.”
Double Experience has also began work on their still-untitled follow up, and will be entering the studio after Christmas.

About:
Over the last few years, the Ottawa, ON based rock nerds have toured across Canada six times, twice in the UK and the States, performing 500+ shows over 100,000 miles and sharing the stage with such acts as Silverstein, Hawthorne Heights, Every Time I Die, Dead and Divine, Lifestory:Monologue to name a few. Their new album ‘721835’ is a curious collection of songs that are inspired by everything the band loves and considers nerdy. Showcasing a creative sound influenced by geeky comic books, trading cards, classic 8 bits games to today’s future 3D experiences, the album follows up their 2011 EP ‘One Big Quicksand’ recorded and produced by Jayson DeZuzio (Coheed and Cambria, My Chemical Romance) that was released via Blue Sapphire/Universal Music Canada.

“Nerds from our great neighbors from the North can rock! Double XP is a lot more than a couple of gamers with instruments. Their upcoming album goes to show that gamers really do have feelings, and they are not ashamed to talk about em!” Royal Flush Magazine
“Their debut album “721835” consists of a fairly ballsy bunch of well-written alternative rock ‘n’ roll songs with cheeky riffs and ambitious vocal melodies. The lyrics might very well have been inspired by nerdy things and contain plenty of references that can be cherished by fellow nerds, but at the same time they are written in a way that succeeds in communicating extremely relatable feelings and experiences.” – Rock Freaks
“They’re a quartet who embrace their nerdy credentials, and luckily for those who may be concerned also know how to knock out some chunky riffs and melody lines.” – Screamer Magazine
“I recommend checking out “721835” if you enjoy rock music, Fall Out Boy, or simply love the combination of music and gaming/comic books/trading cards/etc.” – Canadian Beats
“Good songwriters…I think [Double Experience] are next. They’re going to do very well and I’m very excited about that.” – Jayson DeZuzio, producer (Coheed and Cambria, My Chemical Romance, Four Year Strong)
“The most genuine and down to earth band I’ve ever had to work with, load-in and sound checks were quick and easy with this bunch and they are some of the most hard working guys we as a venue have ever had the pleasure of the working with. Having traveled so far, and never played Swansea… prior to the show we were very unsure as to which way the event would turnout. But sure enough, [the band] did not disappoint. Playing to a pretty full room of Welsh fans singing and dancing along, throwing in a cover by Queen to really get them going. As a promoter and venue owner, I would recommend booking this band to anyone in the world, they definitely will not disappoint.” – William Sheldon, Promoter & Venue Owner – Static Bar, Swansea UK
“It’s rare that a band like Double Experience come along so we’re going to cherish them while they can still call themselves an ‘upcoming’ band because it won’t be long before they’re playing sold out massive shows. Great band, highly recommended.” – Andrew Dutton, Promoter – The Square, Harlow UK
