Psychostick is currently working tireless days and nights to complete their follow up release to 2011’s ‘Space Vampires vs. Zombie Dinosaurs In 3D’ after reaching their crowd funding goal of 30,000 to record their forthcoming album and build a new recording studio based in Chicago, IL.

Harnessing their crazy sense of humor and love of all things metal, vocalist Rob “Rawrb” Kersey and guitarist Josh “The J” Key joined forces with drummer Alex “Shmalex” Dontre and bassist Matty J “Moose” to create Pyschostick, a band they’ve coined as humorcore. With hilarious lyrics, heavy riffs, notorious stage antics and high-energy performances, the band has caused millions of laughs around the world and hundreds of mosh pits across the US, often simultaneously, since its birth in Phoenix, AZ in 2000.
Almost 100 percent do-it-yourself, Psychostick never strays from its signature sound, a combination of heavy music that Chimaira, Machine Head, and Hatebreed would be proud of, and wit and humor that would make Tenacious D and Weird Al Yankovic holler with laughter.
With three full-length albums behind them – “We Couldn’t Think of a Title,” “Sandwich,” and their holiday album, “The Flesh Eating Rollerskate Holiday Joyride” – the band released their latest record, “Space Vampires vs. Zombie Dinosaurs in 3D,” in 2011, following it up with a tour with Mushroomhead to add to their total count of 21 nationwide tours that have hit 47 states.
After a successful 2013 that saw these touring ninja warriors hit the road for multiple shows on the ‘Our Tour Can Beat Up Your Tour’, ‘Blow Your Fingers Off’ summer tour, their late summer dates with American Head Charge plus appearances at summer fests that included Rockapalooza, A2 Fest, Breast Fest Biker Bash, and Dirtfest. The band released a new music video ‘Dream Pariah’ in support of their debut album ‘Traits of The Sick’ released during November 2013. The albumwas mastered by Jeff Waters of Annihilator, whom also makes a guest appearance with a guitar solo on the track ‘As Killers Breathe’. Featuring an eclectic mix of thrash, classic metal and rock, the album deals with the idea of humans being human and never willing to be completely satisfied, the debutis now available on Bandcamp, iTunes, Amazon and all other major online retailers.
The video is inspired by the dramatic story of a man, approaching the end of his life and trying something new! (hint, hint, breaking bad!)

Winnipeg’s death metal troopers Psychotic Gardening have posted their latest teaser video featuring guitarist Chuck Labossiere for their upcoming album ‘Hymnosis’ set for release on May 13th to follow up 2011’s ‘Humanitorium’ and 2007’s debut ‘Hürdür’. The band returns in 2014 with new material and the return of Chuck Labossiere after he filled in with Broken Hope for tour dates in Europe and Canada. The album features nine heavy hitting assaults sure to bang skulls with itsfull-throttle, go-for-the-throat execution of doom and black metal. In this release the band digs into its death metal roots for a concoction of their most vicious material while still hammering down on doom-laden monster riffs.

MIRE officially released their new album ‘Inward/Outward’ on March 18th to follow up their 2010 self titled EP. Two year’s in the making, the album is based on the band’s personal experiences ranging from the study of cognitive science to a military stint in Afghanistan. The album’s 10 tracks marry a sonic wall of loud heavy yet strong melodic progressive rock metal that is winning fans and media over with comparisons of being named heirs to the Tool and a perfect band for fans of Karnivool, A Perfect Circle, Dead Letter Circus, Deftones and ISIS(media reviews below).

“Interpreted through our fingers, tongued and toe tips, this album which we’ve been working on for 2 years at totally different points in our lives, demonstrates the fan of emotions of 5 individuals’ experience.
