Over the last few years, the Ottawa, ON based rock nerds have toured across Canada six times, twice in the UK and the States, performing 500+ shows over 100,000 miles and sharing the stage with such acts as Silverstein, Hawthorne Heights, Every Time I Die, Dead and Divine, Lifestory:Monologue to name a few. Their new album ‘721835’ is a curious collection of songs that are inspired by everything the band loves and considers nerdy. After being on hiatus since 2008, Fayne reformed in 2013 with a renewed hunger and dedication to the Canadian metal scene to deliver a metal sound coupled with melodic, attitude-fueled breakdowns to compliment their high energy performances full of positive vibes, and ridiculously powerful guitar solos. Heavily influenced by bands such as Counterparts, Mastodon, and Periphery, Fayne’s ‘The Queen of Kings’ features a special guest appearance by Misery Signals vocalist Karl Schubach on their track Nomad’s Land plus was produced by guitarist Alex Gonzalez with the help from Alan Douches of West West Side Music (Dillinger Escape Plan, Every Time I Die, Between the Buried and Me) for the final mastering. Assaulting witnesses in both languages of French and English, Gatineau, QC death metal band INSURRECTION have unleashed their brutal, and torturing music video ‘Prototype’ filmed by La Corp at the following link here. The video is in support of the band’s first crowd funded and third full length album produced by Topon Das (Fuck The Facts) that was released via Canadian label Galy Records in late 2013.
