Montreal, QC – June 5, 2025

NIGHT’S EDGE Unveils Sinister Crushing Single “Smite” Off New Album “The World That Never Was” Out Aug 2025

+ East Coast USA Tour Dates (VA/MD/PA/NY)

Set to release their fourth full-length “The World That Never Was” this coming August 21st, 2025, Baltimore, MD’s NIGHT’S EDGE is unveiling their third single “Smite” accompanied by a lyric video in preview to the record. A sinister mid-tempo crusher, “Smite” is as headbangable as it is danceable. With unpredictable changes, Latin Choirs, and soaring synths, “Smite” is an invitation to the Night’s Edge cult.

“”This is one of our heaviest songs and will be a staple of the live show for years to come. We wrote it intending to make a heavy song that satisfies both the headbangers and the dancers in the crowd. When coming up with a BPM, Brian was inspired by songs like Slipknot’s Custer, which is as heavy and aggressive as it is danceable. Our plan worked, playing this song live leads to all-out brawls in the pit while people do the Macarena on the sidelines; it’s a good time,” adds Brian Haran (Vocals, Bass, Keys, Programming)

Watch and listen to the lyric video for “Smite” via its premiere on Metal Insider HERE.

Spotify pre-save – https://hypeddit.com/nightsedge/smite-prerelease

Their fourth full-length, “The World That Never Was,” is a statement of songcraft and lyricism. The album flows and progresses clearly as it explores the concept of self-identity and the loss thereof. Moments of melancholy, anger, wonder, and plenty of crushing riffs elicit the stank face. Each single shows a different side of the album.

“‘The World That Never Was’ is packed with different elements of rock and metal combined with the distinct Night’s Edge sound. Fans of alternative metal, symphonic metal, and even pop punk will have something to enjoy from this album,” says Haran.

Since their inception in 2018, the band has gone through a few changes in lineup and sound, and has progressed significantly from their debut in 2019. Falling under the umbrella of Alternative Metal, Night’s Edge‘s sound is hard to pin down. Incorporating influences from gothic metal, progressive rock, and nu metal, the band’s music is equal parts heavy and poppy, soaked in synthesizers and drama. Lyrics breach topics including isolation, dissociation, and the romantic, approaching themes common to the human experience from a cerebral angle that complements the band’s emotionally evocative music.

“The World That Never Was” follows releases Strangers – LP (2023), Night’s Edge – EP (2022), The Darkest Side of Dreams – LP (2020), and Shades of Dusk – LP (2019) and is recommended for fans of Coheed and Cambria, Avantasia, System of a Down, HIM, and Deftones.

Introducing their self-described Aggro-Metal and new EP entitled “M.T.M.D (Maximum Threshold, Minimum Decay)” this past October, Montreal, Canada’s CHÜZO is ready to continue their vengeance with their latest music video “Brand New Cell”. The song is about dedicating your life to achieving retributive justice upon your enemies, yet sacrificing your life, your loved ones, and your sanity to get your revenge.

Watch the music video via its premiere on MetalInsider HERE.

Produced with Kevin Jardine (Slaves On Dope, Uplift Recording Studio), “M.T.M.D (Maximum Threshold, Minimum Decay)” is a three-track record that marks the next chapter and true representation of what CHÜZO‘s sound is meant to be with its fresh new lineup who are hungry to showcase what this EP will spark.

“This new EP was to showcase our new lineup with our newest songs that are truly representative of our musical style, a style that we proudly call ‘Aggro-Metal.’ Very aggressive metal songs that have relatable themes that anyone can listen to and understand. This EP is our audio shotgun blast to the world to pay attention to and to mosh intensively during our live sets.” adds guitarist Cristian S.

CHÜZO‘s new lineup features the ensnaring vocals of Taiwanese Brazilian transplant Mischa M joining local first-generation Chilean Canadian and mastermind Cristian S. along with Carlos G from Venezuela and Alex S from Russia who all have found Montreal, Canada to be their home-to-breed their blender of grindcore, Swedish death metal, thrash, and hardcore punk to transform a sub-genre dubbed ‘Aggro Metal’.

The EP’s lyrics are driven by self-reflection and daily struggles. The inspiration for writing comes from life experiences and trying to live past them, especially the traumatic ones. Using all bad energy from bad experiences to create something positive for yourself and the world. This EP speaks of vengeance and the bad side of dedicating your life to achieving your desired revenge despite your own life and sanity. Brutal Social Justice.

For fans of Sepultura (Cavalera Bros era 84-96), At the Gates, Napalm Death, Slipknot, and Fuck the Facts, “M.T.M.D (Maximum Threshold, Minimum Decay)” was released on November 15, 2024.

“‘A Brazilian vocalist, a Chilean guitarist, a Russian bassist and a Venezuelan drummer walk into a Montreal metal bar’ might sound like the beginning of a borderline funny joke, but it, in a roundabout way, speaks to the christening of thrash, punk, death-beat quartet CHÜZO. The band’s latest EP — M.T.M.D.(Maximum Threshold, Minimum Decay) — is the latest in a long line of releases since forming in 2020 and sees the light of day today. The band has a lot to say about their latest endeavour, but fans of old Sepultura, Napalm Death, At the Gates and Fuck the Facts should find something of interest ” – Decibel Magazine

“M.T.M.D is a crucial chapter in Chüzo’s evolution, showcasing a lineup that’s finally found its voice. Their journey is a testament to the transformative power of music and the ability to channel personal struggles into a collective outcry for justice.” – Amplify The Noise

“It might be something of a cliché but it remains true; this isn’t simply an EP. It’s a promo for helping Chüzo find a major label for a debut full length… [8/10]” – Metal Noise

“CHÜZO have achieved several things on “MTMD (Maximum Threshold, Minimum Decay)” that other bands dream of for an entire career. On the one hand, the clever balancing act is impressive between old school credibility and new school influences. A factor that plays a striking role in the overall absolutely high-class work is that Canadians walk in a straightforward and focused manner in the ear. The three songs on the EP entitled “MTMD” are fast-paced in nature, mill into the ear canals at massive speed and –’s most important aspect – remains there… The EP is catchy, intense and yet has matured, multi-layered and serious Half-life to be equipped. Conclusion: Check in, buy, leave, killer!” – Metal Division Magazine

Progressive metal titans The Aphelion, from Ottawa, Canada are proud to announce the release of their highly anticipated progressive metal concept album, “Nascence”, the first of two twin albums, available on August 9th. This ambitious project showcases eight intense tracks that promise to captivate, inspire, and draw the listener into a science fiction world shaped by human experiences. The band shares their thoughts on the release:

“The objective with “Nascence” and “Senescence” was to create a cohesive multi-album spanning story while still having each album contain its own unique musical aesthetics and complete listening experience. In a way, Nascence musically has always been the calm before the storm, and while the songs are almost always rooted in metal, the album grows from a more classical-influenced, beautiful prog-rock flavoured sound to a fast, angry, teeth gnashing finale.”

Musically, the album begins with a more accessible, prog-rock-influenced sound. Songs towards the beginning of the album (“Nascence”, “The Seed of Doubt”) are calmer, catchier, and feature lots of grand piano, violin, and horns. As the album goes on, the sound slowly becomes more dissonant, heavy, and layered with organs, strings, distorted guitars, and synthesizers. These shifts in genre match progressions in the story told by the lyrics, and the growing dissonance and chaos represent the protagonist losing his mind as the story unfolds.

The band explains that “Nascence” and its upcoming counterpart “Senescence” represent the pinnacle of their musical journey. The album features a diverse range of tracks, each contributing to the overarching narrative that delves into philosophy and the human condition. It is recommended for fans of Devin Townsend, Haken, and Leprous.

Before the album “Nascence” officially releases, the band has teamed up with MetalInsider for its full-stream premiere HERE.

Due out on August 9th, 2024, album pre-order for “Nascence” is available at https://theaphelionofficial.bandcamp.com.

“The sonic goal is one of innovation, dramatic flair, and emotional gravity, with unexpected shifts in genre to create contrast and bring levity. With upcoming double album “Nascence” and “Senescence”, The Aphelion are once again telling an album-spanning story inspired by philosophy and the human condition; a tradition that began with their 2018 release “The Labour Division”.” – The ProgSpace

““Fragility!” It’s a wild track that really highlights the bands composing ability, and heavy, yet soulful side.” – Ghost Cult Mag

“The Aphelion’s phenomenal vocal range and enticing clashing of instrumentals will prove to be nothing short of intoxicating.” – Canadian Beats

“What strikes me most about the album is how well the themes fit into the music, as well as the level of care they put into their craft. The music has this thread of tension that runs through it in nearly every song, and the musicianship is outstanding. It can go from calm to on fire in a second, and it keeps the listener actively engaged in both the music and the tale. Bravo. 9/10” – Metal-Temple

““The Seed Of Doubt,” breathes into the liminal testing of time. A song that shimmers and shivers into bright sparks.” – The Median Man

“The Aphelion are very different and refreshingly intriguing. The musicianship is complex as you would expect with prog-metal, but that’s where their genre similarities end. The vocals are wonderfully unique and the tracks from their new album “Nascence” (dropping Aug. 9th) are also full of unique metal passages to take you on a conceptual journey. Tune in & catch The Aphelion on your Home for the Best New Rock…” – WJOE – Findlay’s Home for Rock & Roll

“In this single – which I highly recommend – THE APHELION wanted to capture the essence of the vulnerability we all experience. “Fragility” is a testament to the beauty and strength found in our moments of weakness. For them, it is a piece that resonates on a deeply personal level, both musically and lyrically.” – Plus PROG de Vous

0 SHROUD OF DESPONDENCY Unleashes Relentless Cosmic Black Metal Split With LanzerRath

SHROUD OF DESPONDENCY Unleashes Relentless Cosmic Black Metal Split With LanzerRath

Off Split EP w/ LanzerRath Out May 10th, 2024

L-R – Rory Heikkila (all instruments), Ron Blemberg (vocals)

Prepare for an auditory descent into the abyss as Shroud of Despondency, from Michigan, USA, unveils their latest offering – a split with LanzerRath that is a true display of unrelenting cosmic black metal. This collaboration amplifies the intensity of Shroud of Despondency‘s sonic landscape, delving into the cosmic realms of negative energy that wreak havoc on creation wherever it manifests. Founder and multi-instrumentalist Rory Heikkila comments on the split:

“Shroud of Despondency prides itself on being unpredictable and remains concerned only with the artistic process. While previous albums have focused primarily on dying, death, entropy, and the despair that comes with life, in its current state it is taking a more science-fiction approach to these topics. LanzerRath has been supportive of Shroud of Despondency in the past and I approached them about the idea of a split when I realized their music was good and they were also from Michigan. We were both, oddly enough, interested in doing something around the idea of cosmic terror, and the collaboration kind of just happened from that.”

Heikkila’s journey with Shroud of Despondency began as a means of coping with personal loss and paying homage to black metal influences. Despite a hiatus from 2004-2011, the project resurged with live performances and prolific recording sessions in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Since 2015, Heikkila and Blemberg, both hailing from Michigan but based in Milwaukee, have maintained a steady output of music, characterized by their unpredictable, dark, and emotionally charged compositions.

Heikkila adds that this split and an upcoming full length continue what was started on 2016’s full length, “Of Origin, Conflict, and Recurrence”, in that it sees these negative energies as taking physical form in host bodies and wreaking havoc. The split is recommended for fans of Enslaved, Root, and Thorns.

Listen to the full stream premiere of the Shroud of Despondency / LanzerRath split via its premiere on MetalInsider HERE.

Due out on May 10, 2024, the Split EP is available for pre-order at ShroudofDespondency.bandcamp.com.

Track Listing:
1. Shroud of Despondency – The Source of Multiversal Degradation
2. Shroud of Despondency – Celestial Venom
3. LanzerRath – Nebular Collapse, The Dissolution of Order and Meaning

“Shroud has always struck a fine balance between black metal’s esoteric and progressive bookends; in addition to the skin-searing atonality and machine gun riffing inherent to the genre, the band has made it a commonality to include tasteful strains of classical, Americana and folk, not to mention thrash, doom and death metal, in their sound. Basically, I was amazed they still hadn’t had someone’s dotted line thrust in front of their faces, especially in light of 1) the black metal genre’s historical open-armed acceptance of everyone from Emperor and Vattnet Viskar to Abruptum and Panopticon, and 2) the shitloads of crap out there that gets passed off as ‘essential listening.’”- Decibel

“From top to bottom, from the beginning of the first track until the last note of the fifth and final song of the album, Air of Abrasion is simply brilliant. It’s such a wild ride of an album, with literally the first 3/5ths of the album bringing such a visceral and stunning quality, to the last two tracks showcasing an emotive and musical talent that is flat out levelling on a whole new plane, or at least that elusive plane of musical identity and awareness that few artists actually achieve. I get the feeling that no matter if Shroud of Despondency sold 100 records or 100 million records, their writing and output would still be of the same quality and magnitude.” – Teeth of the Divine

VORAATH’s Extreme Metal “The Barrens” Is A Whirlwind Of Emotions And Dystopian Exploration

Debut Album “Vol 1. The Hymn of the Hunters” Out June 2024 via Exitus Stratagem Records

Voraath – L-R – Tylor Kohl – Guitar, Paul McBride – Bass, Joshua Ward – Drums, Keys, Vocals, Studio Guitars, Chelsea Marrow – Vocals, Daniel Presnell – Guitar

Voraath, sci-fi horror-inspired extreme metal hailing from the Carolinas, USA, is set to captivate metal enthusiasts with their latest video single “The Barrens” off their debut full-length album “Vol 1: The Hymn of the Hunters” slated for release on June 17, 2024, via Exitus Strategem Records, and brings forth a unique amalgamation of bone-crushing brutal riffs and epic soundscapes. The band comments on the first look at the album:

“This was our first song as a band, a song that encapsulated the brutal and melancholic nature of post-traumatic stress (PTSD). The video is a series of flashbacks from the point of view of two of the hunters. One is experiencing loss and betrayal; meanwhile being pursued by a savage otherworldly entity (which shows the layers of coping with one tragedy while fighting to simply exist). The other is the feeling of hopelessness that turns to hate and that hate consumes those around her.”

The music on “The Barrens” carries out like a metal movie soundtrack, with aggressive peaks and demented valleys, all culminating into the grand apex of the final segway, an epiphany of taking back control (live to fight another day). Voraath hopes this track brings awareness to the struggles and trauma faced by those coping with PTSD.

“The Barrens” is not just a single; it’s a glimpse into the vast metal multiverse that Voraath is meticulously crafting. The band’s ideology revolves around merging extreme metal with storytelling, transcending the boundaries of a traditional music act and transforming into a complex brand with a rich lore to explore alongside their music. They are recommended listening for those interested in Cattle Decapitation, Dimmu Borgir, and Acid Bath.

In additional news, VORAATH will be supporting Gorgatron and Casket Robbery on the “Mechanical Necrosis Tour” this coming June and July (dates listed below) along with a performance at this year’s Michigan Metal Fest on August 24th in Battle Creek alongside Mushroomhead, (hed) PE, Gideon and lots more.

Having shared the stage with bands such as Escape the Fate, Powerman5000, The Convalescence, and Gemini Syndrome, among many others, Ohio alternative metal quintet Yesterday’s Hero is ready to present their debut album “Ways To Hate”. Featuring seven tracks, the full-length takes listeners through the emotions of a struggling bleeding heart at the end of a tumultuous relationship. Musically, it’s a fusion of high-energy grooves with timeless melodies.

The band explains further:

“‘Ways To Hate’ features previous re-recorded tracks from their 2021 debut EP “Killing Me” along with a few new songs such as “What I Needed”, “Bounce” and the title track “Ways To Hate” to complete the seven-song album that we want to get your blood pumping and moshing in the pit. We pride ourselves on using raw gritty tube amps, no backing tracks or plug-ins. There is no need for a laptop as we intentionally step back from today’s norm. What hear on the record is what you’ll hear live, note for note.”

In a digital age of singles, Yesterday’s Hero went analog for this record as they would like those listening to experience each track finishing and ready for the next. The tracklisting was arranged in an order specifically to create a feel of an album experience, not just one single.

“We have simple intentions along with catchy riffs with relatable lyrics. We want to give music fans a nostalgic taste for our music experience with a bit of new raw live sound.” adds the band.

Recommended for fans of Chevelle, Rise Against, Killswitch Engage, Godsmack, and Seether, Yesterday’s Hero‘s first full-length can be heard in full before it officially drops on November 24th, 2023 via its album stream premiere on MetalInsider HERE.

Chicago’s DISSONA Presents A Provocative And Progressive Perspective On Blade Runner With “The Prodigal Son”

New EP “Dreadfully Distinct” Out November 2023

Dissona is a progressive metal band based out of Chicago, USA. Since becoming active in 2006, they have become known for their diverse, imaginative sound and powerfully expressive performances. They take a dramatic approach with their music, creating robust yet intricate compositions with thought-provoking, often abstract lyrical content. Their latest work is a three-track EP “Dreadfully Distinct” that takes a look at three Blade Runner characters, brought to life through meticulously crafted, deeply cinematic progressive metal. The first single “The Prodigal Son” focuses on the inception and development of Roy Batty, the so-called antagonist from the original Blade Runner film. The band explains further:

The track tensely opens with a newscast highlighting the release of the Nexus 6, Eldon Tyrell’s newest and most advanced replicant series to date. The band enters with an exciting instrumental section as Roy’s journey unfolds. As the song progresses, we experience an astonishing and awe-inspiring instrumental section that paints the delicate “C beams” Roy pleasantly describes witnessing. The situation turns, however, as new energies enter his mind. A four-year lifespan is simply not enough for him and he takes violent steps to return to Earth and confront his maker.”

The band remarks that for this EP, the 3 track landscape felt right. From there, they had several conversations about which stories/characters in the Blade Runner universe felt compelling enough to have their own song and that was that. Long-time fans are aware that their third full-length album has been in production for quite some time and those fans can rest easy knowing the entire album is recorded. Look for news on that early next year!

“The Prodigal Son” is presented in a music video showcasing the entire band and is recommended for fans of the Blade Runner movies as well as those who take an interest in Opeth, Persefone, and Ne Obliviscaris.

“There are many bands that claim to be progressive but Dissona actually deliver as advertised. They approach their music with drive and purpose. Thus, Paleopneumatic is controlled chaos layered with strong hooks and melody but driven by a true sense of adventure.” – Progressive Music Planet

“DISSONA cradled immaculate riffery, assorted time signatures, operatic and growl vocals, keyboards and FX infused tracks, but were able to master the flow to assume total hold over the mind as the songs kept going. This is a band that needs to be heard and taken into account.” – Metal Temple

“Paleopneumatic is nothing short of impressive. Dissona have crafted a challenging release that will likely strike a chord in anyone who is partial to anything out of the ordinary.” – Metal Storm

“If Paleopneumatic isn’t the album that rockets Dissona into the progressive zeitgeist, then we may just be too undeserving of their talents.” – Heavy Blog Is Heavy

Canada’s Black Pestilence returns with their ferocious seventh studio album “Chaotic Wisdom”. The band started out as very chaotic black metal with small hints of punk rock and lots of noise. After, it slowly evolved into a punk rock structure with black metal vocals. Now it is much more catchy with shorter song lengths. It’s difficult to pinpoint exactly the sound that Black Pestilence is now. There are more electronic samples, simple verse/chorus song structures, and much less traditional black metal elements other than occasional blast beats and tremolo picking. Vocalist/bassist Valax comments on the album:

“I knew that following up “Hail the Flesh” would be a tall order. “Chaotic Wisdom” is a Satanic d-beat. The music is formulated around typical punk rock song structures while being projected through the playing style of black metal. Greater emphasis was placed on the samples used on this album in the form of additional percussion and cacophonous electronics. Many of the song lyrics touch base on various themes related to Satanic philosophy, societal stratification, and general debauchery.”

“Chaotic Wisdom” contains seven Satanic d-beat anthems. It is the result of three years of writing and recording and is the pinnacle of the Black Pestilence catalog. Similar to previous releases, this album is fast, infectious, and straight to the point. However, experimentation with dissonant tones, industrial electronics, and auxiliary percussion was emphasized to a greater degree on this album. This is not a stylistic change from Black Pestilence, but represents an elevation to the next level of chaotic noise.

The album was mixed and mastered by Sacha Laskow and the album artwork by Juha Vuorma. It is recommended for all black metal fans especially those who enjoy Impaled Nazarene, Acidez, and Midnight.

Due out on September 8, 2023, “Chaotic Wisdom” is available for pre-order at https://blackpestilence.bandcamp.com.

““Crushing” is indeed the first word that comes to mind when hearing the massive mauling tones of the riffs (The Devil’s Connection), like rock being excavated by some humongous machine. That machine drives forward with snapping punk beats, laced with a sinister yet glorious guitar melody. The music itself also becomes more vicious as the riffs start rapidly jabbing and then seething. But the music also channels darker and more despairing moods, before those two solos kick up the pulse and transform the music into an experience of evil ecstasy. The thing turns out to be a very catchy beast too.” – No Clean Singing (2023 Chaotic Wisdom)

“I seriously can’t get enough of this. It’s big, nasty, and as rough as a badger’s arse. The black energy it creates is like a massive middle finger to the world and it says – you don’t like me, you don’t like my music or all the things I stand for – go and fuck yourself! This is real and this is as honest as it gets. Fantastic – more, please! 9/10” – My Global Mind (2023 Chaotic Wisdom)

“weave in some catchy hooks and melody especially on “Chaos of Carnality” and “The Devil’s Connection,” songs I can easily imagine crowds shouting along to.” – The Metal Crypt (2023 Chaotic Wisdom)

“A recent discovery that has tickled the excitement nerves in my jaded and encrusted ear drums is Calgary’s Black Pestilence. Their take on black metal incorporates old-school thrash and punk and if you listen closely you can hear the smatterings of plain ol’ rock ‘n’ roll and swaths of noise and is a sound that has been explored and nurtured since the band formed as a one-man project in 2008. The band’s handlers claim those fans of Toxic Holocaust, Impaled Nazarene, Municipal Waste, Midnight and Cradle of Filth unconcerned with genre boundaries will enjoy Black Pestilence and we have to say the nail has certainly been hit on the head in that regard. Additionally, fans of image and theatrics will find value in the band’s aesthetic which owes to a collision of black metal, goth rock and Judas Priest’s wardrobe and fashion sense. ” – Decibel Magazine (2020 Hail the Flesh)

“Hail the Flesh is a nice, quick, in and out style album. There’s no messing around, there’s no overly extended bridges or songs that overstay their welcome. This is a 9 track album that only spans 34 minutes of constant, hard hitting riffs, blasts, and downright aggressive and dominative vocals. Even the final track on the album, “Ephemeral”, which nearly reaches 7 minutes in play time feels fresh the whole way through. ” – Metal Injection (2020 Hail the Flesh)

The war machine of Montreal, Canada’s Vantablack Warship is made up of members who have worked in prominent groups of the Quebec underground scene for the last 30 years. With a self-titled EP and album “Abrasive Pulmonic Speak” under their belts, they have shared the stage with an impressive lineup of prominent bands. They now have a new partnership with the BAM & Co. Heavy to present the new album “Last Of The Hard Mouthed Poets”.

The title of the album speaks to blacklisted writers of yesteryear and reminds us not to take freedom for granted of expression and freedom of thought. “Last of the Hard Mouthed Poets” also refers to the ending eras, to dying races, to lost generations, and to cherish those who remain. It’s a hard-hitting bomb of an album ready to blow your mind with thrash metal riffs and expertly written lyrics. Vocalist Yannick “Pil” Pilon comments on the band’s latest single “Inside His Mind”:

“Fuckin’ thrash riff! I really like my vocals on this song. When the choruses arrive it opens up so much! We added sharp and dissonant guitars! It’s got that thrashy groove that fans of Lamb of God will instantly connect with. It’s a banger from start to finish! The track is a reflection of sorts from a suicidal person, silence, and secrecy. We don’t provide an answer, but only issues.”

Watch and listen to the video for “Inside His Mind” via its premiere on MetalInsider HERE.

The last album “Abrasive Pulmonic Speak” was released in 2018, so for fans it’s been a long wait for this release. The band expects that people who are already familiar with them will be pleasantly surprised with what they consider their best effort yet. It’s pedal-to-metal driving music that would be an excellent soundtrack to road trips this summer.

The tracks on “Last Of The Hard Mouthed Poets” all came together organically, but were mainly inspired by the writings of Beat Generation authors, and various life themes such as loss, perseverance, anti-racism, and cherishing the important things in life. They are unapologetically fast, and addictive, most suitable for fans of Cancer Bats, Slayer, and Pantera.

“Last of the Hardmouthed Poets” was released on April 28th, 2023, and is available from BAM & Co. Heavy.

Thrash metal fans, brace yourself for an onslaught of unrelenting aggression as Sinnery returns with their latest EP “Below the Summit”. Across five tracks, they harness the essence of true thrash, delivering a sonic storm that will leave fans and critics alike gasping for breath. The first single “Share This”, was written when Covid first started and it reflects on losing touch with what actually matters and being consumed by social media. The band comments:

“We’re super excited to finally release “Share This!.” It’s a song that injects extra energy into any venue we play it in and is probably one of the heaviest songs we’ve written. We wanted to combine new elements into our music and this one has some striking Sinnery riffs. “Share This” is about how technological progress has stripped us from our humanity and the way that social media is used to get some crazy messages into our heads where some of us cease to think for ourselves any longer.”

Sinney was formed in mid-2010 when Idan and Alon met at a music school in Herzliya, Israel, and were hitched together to play in a band, it didn’t lead anywhere right away, but after a few years of pursuing other interests, they eventually revived and the band took the form it has today. According to the band, writing “Below The Summit” was a very productive and consistent process, they really bled these songs out.

Sinnery believes that all of their existing fans will find that these five tracks implement what they are all about in the most concise way yet. From catchy choruses to parts heavier than ever before they feel this is their most complete work yet. “Below The Summit” is recommended for fans of Metallica, Power Trip, and Trivium.

“I’ve said this many times in the past, but one of the many things I love about this business is following the progress of bands as they come of age, mature and get better at their craft. What’s not to love about paying early witness to a bunch of folks gelling and heading on an upward trajectory as they make the move towards proverbial world domination? Israeli thrashers Sinnery are one such band. Gathering their Exodus, Testament, Gojira, The Haunted and post-St. Anger Metallica influences, the quartet from Herzliya, Tel Aviv will soon be releasing their second full length, Black Bile via Exitus Stratagem Records. This new tasty little rager pops the clutch and pumps the gas on modern thrash with a grizzled edge that improves upon the roots planted with their 2016 debut A Feast of Fools and their 2013 demo, Showing Teeth.” – Decibel Magazine

“Sinnery [Israel] Proves Thrash is NOT Dead in Groove-Oozing Cesspit of ‘Black Bile’” – Metal Has No Borders

““Death thrash” is the simplified genre description for what Sinnery do, but it’s the strong melodies and the variations among and within the songs that make the album such an adventure to experience from start to finish. Compared to the debut all those years ago, which was entirely written by vocalist/guitarist Alon Karnieli back when he was about 16-17 years of age, these tracks are more elaborate, more sophisticated, more reflective of different moods, while at the same time being more brutally extreme.” – No Clean Singing

“You just gotta love a band that knows exactly what the hell they wanna be. Sinnery bow to no one, instead turning heel to scissor kick you in the temple with battering ram riffs, suplexing drums, and neck-twisting vocals. You know the opening of Back to the Future where Marty McFly plays a single guitar chord on Doc Brown’s hyper amplifier and goes flying across the room from the resulting sound? “The Burning” provides the same effect regardless of the size of your chosen sound output device – you will be ragdolled and tossed around like a frisbee in a college quad by the quartet’s supreme rippage.” – Everything Is Noise

“I am old enough to have seen the likes of Metallica, Anthrax and others perform live at small venues in London. I’m also a huge fan of the new wave of thrash like Dust Bolt, Lost Society, etc. Sinnery is welcome inclusion with their aggression, energy, and obvious hunger. They might verge on Death Metal a tad with the vocals but that’s ok. With Matt Hyde (Machine Head, Trivium, Slipknot) having mixed and mastered this beast you know the sounds are gonna be right in your face. An excellent sophomore effort – please just keep thrashing!” – My Global Mind

“Sinnery straddle those lines between conventional thrash and modern/groove metal with enough solid musicianship and heaviness to align well with a multitude of touring possibilities.” – Dead Rhetoric

“For those that just want to bang heads and go nuts, there are songs like “The Burning,” “Who Will Be Eaten First,” and “Anti Tribe.” “Hanged From The Sun” and “Holes” flesh out their thrash by either toning down the speed or putting an emphasis on melody.” – Heavy Music Headquarters
