LOGICAL TERROR’s New Music Video ‘Transition’ Forces You To Question Your Sanity

Italian metal band LOGICAL TERROR has just released a brand new video for their single ‘Transition’. The spine crushing track is off the band’s album “Ashes of Fate” full of sophisticated lyrics, and technical compositions. The album has already garnered over 2,000,000 Spotify streams.

The video is a well-produced gambit that ushers in the sludgy, heavy hitting metal that LOGICAL TERROR has been crafting for almost a decade. The album “Ashes of Fate” was produced by Dysfunction Productions (Fear Factory, Mnemic) and features guests Jon Howard (Threat Signal, Imonolith) and Bjorn Strid (Soilwork).

Always one for constant enhancement and evolution of their sound, LOGICAL TERROR have performed alongside many well-known bands including Sepultura, Arch Enemy, and Soilwork.

Montreal, QC – December 12, 2018

For fans of Meshuggah, Animals As Leaders, Periphery, Intervals, Plini, Tesseract

Jason Rodriguez Plunges Into Arachnophobia Distress With Music Video ‘Tarantulas’ via TheCirclePit

Debut Album ‘Heartstrings’ Out Now!

Floridian solo artist Jason Rodriguez has released the first video to compliment his debut full length album ‘Heartstrings’, which was independently released November 6th, 2018. The 10 track instrumental album is primarily heavy, modern metal with splinters of EDM along with aggressive death and thrash metal highlights.

The track, ‘Tarantulas’, is a creepy crawly, abrasive homage to the furry eight legged creatures that send shivers down the spines of some and is recommended for those who like the pulverizing sounds of Meshuggah, Animals as Leaders and Devin Townsend Project.

“I have always been a fan of instrumental heavy music and artists who write instrumental music. This type of music has always attracted a niche audience that is drawn to instrumentation, lyrical phrases, great melodies, and memorable riffs. This is what I set out to create with this album.”

Working on one song at a time, Rodriguez writes all the music for each instrument, striving to personify the title of each track. ‘Heartstrings’ is rife with bizarre heaviness, erratic lines and suspicious melodies that will thrust you out of your comfort zone.

Watch ‘Tarantulas’ video premiere via The Circle Pit at the following link: https://www.thecirclepit.com/2018/12/jason-rodriguez-tarantulas-music-video-world-premiere

‘Heartstrings’ is available for stream and download on Bandcamp, Spotify, iTunes, Amazon.

Track Listing:
1. Heartstrings (2:53)
2. Tarantulas (4:15)
3. Apostasy (4:06)
4. Ad Hockery (2:54)
5. The Elephant In The Room (4:37)
6. Insider Threat (4:03)
7. Reciprocate (4:24)
8. Squaring The Circle (3:15)

Toronto’s VODNIK have posted a new behind the scenes trailer for the debut music video “Our Dread, Our Joy” unleashed last month. Shot by Trenches Media Inc., the video captures the band’s approach of blending heavier and lighter styles of metal, which range from technical riffs, to spooky mellow passages, to hardcore breakdowns for an overall well balanced sound between progressive grooves and dark atmospheres that is bizarre and ominous yet catchy and memorable.

Drummer Vince Anastasi comments:

“The making of Our Dread, Our Joy was quite the experience. The location of the video was shot at the Ruins of St. Raphael in Cornwall, Ontario. It is a remarkable place unlike anywhere else in Ontario. The band knew it was important that we hire the right film crew who could capture the ruins in all its glory and give life to our vision for the video and band. After shopping around for a crew, we decided that The Trenches Media would be suitable for the job. Together with The Trenches Media and the location, the band was confident that we could create a quality product that was both professional and aesthetic.”

About:

Drawing their name and lyrical themes from the mythological Czech creature, guitarist Jeremy Jackson explains:

“In Czech, Vodnik roughly translates to ‘of water’. I adopted the name for us because it is a widely celebrated mythological creature from my Czech heritage. Vodnik is gruesome, perfect for metal and what we want to do with it.”

Vocalist Reinier Vandenbosch adds:

“Lakes and rivers are its territory where it awaits to trap the souls of drowning victims. He is similar to the boogieman of the English-speaking world that also scares children. I try to write the lyrics largely from the perspective of the Vodnik creature.”

Along with embracing themes centered around the creature, VODNIK is also inspired by science fiction and horror, social and political commentary, dark philosophical ideas, and other mythological stories. Citing a wide variety of musical influences, VODNIK is a legit, no nonsense, monstrous groove metal four-piece that brings a ferocious energy to the stage.

Tres Thomas – Photo Credit: Kirsten Robinson

Forming his one man shred-a-thon INFINITEE in 2016, Tres Thomas, guitarist of death metal band Tales Of The Tomb created the iconoclastic beast to forge his own musical path different from the extremes he usually performs. Inspired by My Chemical Romance, Dance Gavin Dance, Plini, Modern Day Babylon, The Contortionist, INFINITEE’s sound is a mix of djenty, heavy, dynamic, melodic and progressive influences as showcased on his recently released debut album “The Possibilities Are Endless”.

Teaming up with Idobi Radio, INFINITEE is sharing with fans a new guitar playthrough medley for “Xenocybin” and “Lost” at the following link: http://ido.bi/5qy

Thomas comments:

“I’m so stoked to premiere the new play through to everyone! It’s been a lot of hard work making the video, so I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did making it! It’s a double feature of both songs Xenocybin and Lost. Both songs tell a story about taking alien mushrooms and getting lost in your own mind during the trip. Xenocybin is more groove based and influenced by bands more like Modern Day Babylon, Meshuggah and Car Bomb. Lost is more technical and features more flare like The Faceless, Miseration and Born Of Osiris. The video is shot on the Edmonton Legislative grounds. Special thanks to Kirsten Robinson for filming! Thanks everyone for checking it out.”

INFINITEE’s debut album “The Possibilities Are Endless” is now available on Bandcamp, iTunes and Spotify.

“The entire album is a solid piece of work from its instrumentals to its lyricism. ” – Canadian Beats

“…their technical metal, with a lot of a-rhythmic patterns and mega-intensive guitar work, is very hard to find…an open, complex and adventurous album and is definitely a recommendation.” – Lords of Metal

“Slagduster are a sincerely unique proposition and these guys are anything but a deadweight, unshackled by the genre tropes that drag many a good band down and flying free in the process” – Worship Metal

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – May 5, 2017

For fans of Gojira, Sikth, Meshuggah, Dillinger Escape Plan, Between The Buried And Me

Out Now! Isolated Small Town Tech Groove Metal SLAGDUSTER’s “Deadweight”

Inspired by such giants as Goijira. Sikth, Meshuggah, Dillinger Escape Plan, Between The Buried And Me, SLAGDUSTER’s sound can be best described as “progressive, groovy, creative, unique, heavy”.

Isolated in the small town of Grand Forks, BC, SLAGDUSTER present their next offering “Deadweight” to follow their 2010 debut album ‘Nature.Humanity.Machine’. Unleashed on May 5th, the album features nine tracks that give a variety a flavor with its ripping riffs and tremolo melodies to soft transitional parts and psychedelic interludes on top of constant heaviness and groove.

“Naturally our sound has come a long way since our debut release in 2010. The music is more complex, and much more developed, still heavy, but even more groove based. Listeners can expect to be challenged by focusing on the compositions, or lost in the musical landscape. All nine of these tracks have been very slowly and carefully crafted. No songs were scrapped, but all were completely revamped continuously for years. We put way more effort into collaborative songwriting, which has significantly advanced our original sound.” says vocalist Shane Sherman.
