A true spectacle to be witnessed, LORDS OF THE TRIDENT is a daring adventure metal quintet that has been delighting their audiences and fans all over the world for ten years. To continue on their epic quest of bringing spectacular and entertaining metal to global fans these power metal warriors will be unleashing their 7th album “Shadows From The Past” on August 24th. In celebration of this new beast from their discography, LORDS OF THE TRIDENT will be performing the album live for the first time at this year’s MAD WITH POWER FEST in Madison, WI on August 25th.

Organizing the festival for its second year, LOTT vocalist Fang VonWrathenstein comments:

“Mad With Power Fest is our yearly chance to bring the strongest, bravest, and most WORTHY heavy metal bands from all around the country under the same roof. This year’s lineup will be an absolutely amazing menagerie of power, thrash, and heavy metal, and should not be missed by anyone! And of course, it wouldn’t be Mad With Power Fest without filling the venue to the brim with free-play arcade and pinball games! We’ve got a number of exclusive, hand-made, and indie arcade cabinets coming this year, which means you’ll ONLY be able to play these games at the fest! In addition to the upcoming release of “Shadows From The Past”, LORDS OF THE TRIDENT started a kickstarter campaign that went live on June 1st. The band has now reached their objective of $6,000 plus their 2nd stage stretch goal, which will now gives those who pledged over $100 or $25 added to any already made pledge to receive a red blood double vinyl copy of the new album along with multi-color “Shadows From The Past” custom guitar picks.

The band are still asking fans to answer the call to help them make their next extra stretch goal, which includes a full color zip up hoodies (design TBA) (for any pledge of over $250 or $50 added to any already made pledge).

Since climbing out of a volcano in 2008, shrouded in metal and ash, Lords of the Trident have gone to battle on many stages across the USA, playing and headlining a plethora of festivals and have an admirable arsenal of recordings in their inventory. The Lords of The Trident have released three full albums: “Death or Sandwich” (2009), “Chains on Fire” (2011), “Frostburn” (2015) , three EPs: “Plan of Attack” (2013), “A Very Lords of the Trident Christmas” (2014), “Re:Quests” (2015), and two live DVDs, along with numerous compilation singles.

Their live shows include medieval costumes, pyrotechnics, confetti cannons, guitars set ablaze, and of course, excellent technical musicianship that challenges the standard for how live music should be experienced. Following every recording and show, we try to reflect on our own mistakes, and attempt to improve. We grew to understand our 90s thrash/traditional style of songwriting, and compose accordingly. This EP has that ‘90’s warm thrash sound akin to Megadeth’s Youthanasia album. Toronto’s heavy metal trio AxMinister announce they will be hitting the road for dates across Southern Ontario in support of their recently unleashed new EP “The Crucible of Sin”. The EP was released on May 4th to follow singles “Visceral Speed” (2017), “AXistential Christmas” (2015), “Unborn Warriors: The Cries of Tomorrow” (2015) and full length “Betray Everything” (2015).

American power metallers SONIC PROPHECY have posted a new lyric video for their track “Man The Guns” off their third full length “Savage Gods”unleashed via Rockshots Records this past January.

“Savage Gods” follows SONIC PROPHECY‘s 2015 sophomore release “Apocalyptic Promenade” (Maple Metal Records), an album that combined the melody and beauty of symphonic power metal while maintaining the crunch, drive and power of traditional metal plus their 2011 debut “A Divine Act of War”, which had its music placed in the television series “Rock n’ Lock”, the video game “Volgarr the Viking” and movie Danny Trejo’s “Vengeance”.

This latest album “Savage Gods” lyrically covers many topics, from quests and medieval wars, to mechanized genocide, to the dangers associated with extremist ideologies. Broadening and stretching their musical palate, “Savage Gods” will give fans an adventurous listening experience. It’s an album that combines melodic hard rock, driving heavy metal, and chest pounding anthems in a way that is uniquely Sonic Prophecy.

Savage Gods, as a record, basically combines all of the things I think people liked about our previous releases and then moves us forward into new areas musically and lyrically. For our fans, there will be no mistaking this is Sonic Prophecy, but we definitely cover some new exciting ground on this record. “Our soon to be released EP “The Crucible of Sin” sports a sense of humour. It tries to tell a… at times, nihilistic, story about love, lust, oppression, and redemption. Following every recording and show, we try to reflect on our own mistakes, and attempt to improve. We grew to understand our 90s thrash/traditional style of songwriting, and compose accordingly. This EP has that ‘90’s warm thrash sound akin to Megadeth’s Youthanasia album. We hope old and new audiences join us on a journey that is at times fictional, visual and imaginative, while other times introspective and contemplative. We like you to dance, head bang, and mosh to it.”
