Brazil’s Rage In My Eyes Reimagine Heavy Metal With Video “Winter Dream”

Latest Album “Ice Cell” Out Now!

Rage In My Eyes is a technically sound heavy metal act hailing from Porto Alegre, Brazil who have a new video out for the track “Winter Dream” off the 2019 album “Ice Cell”. The video was part of the band’s participation in the Roadie Crew Online Festival – 9º Edição.

“Ice Cell” is the first album by the band under their current name; the group also released three albums under Scelerata. They originally formed in 2002 and with the recent name change has altered their sound to incorporate traditional music from South America with prog and heavy metal. Along with the cultural infusion, Rage In My Eyes brings in accordion for a truly one of a kind listening experience. Vocalist Jonathas Pozo explains the conception of “Winter Dream”:

“We had already chosen Winter Dream as the opening track, which led us to address the lyric theme in order to present a little of the icy scenery of Ice Cell, imagining the aspect of our biological and chemical origin under the influence of the morphic field theory of Rupert Sheldrake, that is, considering the presence of the past as an important constituent of our subsequent choices, as humanity. At the same time bringing in this scenario landscapes that are common in southern Brazil, such as fog, frost, and sometimes even snow. It was also chosen because it is a more cadenced and heavy song (although also extremely technical and quite proggy), thus contrasting with the usual melodic and fast opening tracks in power metal albums, representing more accurately the “musical humor” of the band.”

Overall, the album can be summed up as ‘tight’. It has great guitar riffs, fast drum parts, intricate instrumental parts, and powerful yet melodic vocals. Sometimes it leans towards prog metal, sometimes to power metal, sometimes to folk metal, sometimes to traditional metal, sometimes to thrash metal. And it still sounds like a cohesive whole, due to how well blended it all is.

Recommended for fans of Dream Theater, Helloween, and Symphony X, Rage In My Eyes brings an icy new edge to traditional power metal.

The video for “Winter Dream” can be watched on YouTube: https://youtu.be/OfB3faJoP54

With something for everyone, “Ice Cell” was released on August 14, 2019 and available on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon.

About:
RAGE IN MY EYES introduces to the world a unique kind of music. Being from southern Brazil, the band shows a side of the country most people don’t know about. Blending heavy/prog metal with elements of milonga – which is a music genre from southern Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina – the band presents a never-heard metal before.

The band’s first album was recorded in 2017 and 2018, partially in Los Angeles and partially in their native Porto Alegre, Brazil. For 16 years the band went under the name Scelerata, which had a huge history in the Brazilian heavy metal scene. The band had three albums released worldwide, including the internationally acclaimed The Sniper – partially recorded in Germany, at the Blind Guardian studio – featuring guest appearances from Paul DiAnno (former Iron Maiden) and Andi Deris (Helloween). Scelerata was also Paul DiAnno’s official Brazilian backing band from 2009 to 2014, playing 50+ shows with this heavy metal icon. With this huge background, the musicians are now aiming for the future.

RAGE IN MY EYES teamed up with some of the best professionals in the heavy metal business and delivered the head-turning debut album “Ice Cell” released in 2019.

IMMORTAL GUARDIAN Unveil Music Video “Lockdown” Off Upcoming 2021 Album “Psychosomatic” via M-Theory Audio

Music Video Premiere via MetalInsider

Progressive/Power Metal Quartet’s Concept Album “Psychosomatic” Out February 12, 2021

IMMORTAL GUARDIAN is (L-R):
Gabriel Guardian (Guitars/Keyboards)
Carlos Zema (Vocals)
Joshua Lopez (Bass)
Justin Piedimonte (Drums)

IMMORTAL GUARDIAN, the progressive/power metal quartet hailed by MetalSucks as “seriously epic”, has unveiled a music video for “Lockdown”, the second single from their forthcoming concept album “Psychosomatic”. The clip, which showcases the group cleverly adapting to the same stay-at-home conditions that are affecting millions of people around the world at this moment can be viewed via its premiere on MetalInsider HERE.

The single itself is available for streaming and purchase on digital music platforms such as Bandcamp, Apple Music, and Spotify. CD and limited-edition purple vinyl pre-orders for “Psychosomatic”, which will be released by M-Theory Audio on February 12, 2021 are available now at http://smarturl.com/immortalguardian.

“Rich or poor, it doesn’t matter, every human this year experienced some kind of lockdown/isolation during this insane year,” says guitarist/keyboardist Gabriel Guardian. “We couldn’t even just meet up because our borders were on lockdown for international travel. Thank god for the internet, as we were able to still create music and keep each other company online even with thousands of miles between each member. ‘Lockdown’ talks about all of the same questions we all have been asking ourselves since the start of the pandemic. Where did this all come from? Who’s to blame? Is the lockdown saving more lives than it’s destroying? We can only keep making music through these crazy times and hope for a better tomorrow.”

After winning over new audiences with their acclaimed 2018 debut full-length “Age of Revolution” and touring relentlessly alongside fellow shredders such as Marty Friedman, Powerglove, and Exmortus, IMMORTAL GUARDIAN gathered in Las Vegas earlier this year to begin recording their second album. As the spread of COVID-19 and the subsequent pandemic began to ensue, each member of the band retreated to their respective hometowns. With shutdowns around the world being enforced, the band completely scrapped the record that they had been working on and were heavily inspired to write and create a new thematic record about their emotions surrounding current events.

“Psychosomatic” is a product of the extraordinary events of 2020. The result is a truly multi-national record, with guitarist/keyboardist Gabriel Guardian remaining in Las Vegas, vocalist Carlos Zema recording his vocals from his home in Brazil, new drummer Justin Piedimonte joining the band from his hometown in Montreal, Canada, and new bassist Joshua Lopez remaining in IMMORTAL GUARDIAN‘s native Texas.

The group, founded by Gabriel Guardian, whose uncanny ability to play guitar and keyboard simultaneously has been showcased on MTV’s “Amazingness” along with his unique dual-instrument covers of classics by the likes of Iron Maiden, Pantera, and Guns N’ Roses have garnered hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube and have been built upon the band’s following through multiple self-released EPs before signing with M-Theory Audio for the 2018 release of their first full-length record, “Age of Revolution”. The band has also performed live alongside some of the biggest names in metal, including Judas Priest, Dragonforce, Kamelot, Symphony X, Sonata Arctica, Slayer, Metal Church, Soilwork and Steve Vai, and in countries such as Brazil and Russia, and during high-profile performances at ESPN’s X Games, South By Southwest and the Fun Fun Fun Fest.

“Psychosomatic” is the next step in IMMORTAL GUARDIAN’s evolution while still capturing the band’s exhilarating trademark melding of melodic power metal with progressive/shred tendencies. More information about the album will be revealed in the weeks to come.

“Holy fucking shit, man. Talk about epic… Immortal Guardian make some seriously epic symphonic power metal that throws in elements from all over the metal spectrum. We have power metal highs and death metal screams on top of keyboards and even some djenty staccato riffs here and there. It’s a different take on epic metal and it’s definitely something that will interest you… I’m not sure I’ve heard anything quite this varied before but I’ve gotta say I dig it.” – Metal Sucks

“Refreshingly concise and engagingly written, Age of Revolution offers more thoughtful themes and exhilarating moments than someone like Yngwie Malmsteen could ever hope to achieve… This consistent level of engagement is only possible because Immortal Guardian places strong songwriting before instrumental showmanship.” – Angry Metal Guy

““…vocalist Carlos Zema (ex-Outworld) has an amazing range and more passion for delivering heavy words than 98% of active power vocalists out there.” – Your Last Rites

““Gabriel is a Virtuoso – – with a capital Flying V, blending Electrical Classical styles with Power Metal and occasional Latin elements.” – Metal Asylum

““The band are incredibly skilled, which is an understatement to be brutally honest – the guitar work here is as magnificent as the keyboard playing, which reminds me of only some of the greatest keyboardists in the metal genre.” – The Grim Tower

Drive Into Speedy Thrashing Heavy Metal With Lyonen’s “Hard To Destroy” Off “This is Lyonen”

Hailing from Venezuela, Lyonen is the solo project from the mind of Luis Rivas. A clean and fresh take on classic heavy metal, Rivas intends to take the metal world by storm through his music.

Today, Rivas shares the video for “Hard To Destroy” off the debut album “This is Lyonen” released this past August. The track is a mix of sounds, from heavy metal to thrash. Rivas composed this instrumental song full of energy because he wanted to transmit power, as we are all-powerful machines that are hard to destroy, simple as that.

Watch the video for “Hard To Destroy” via YouTube HERE.

“This is Lyonen” was recorded by Rivas as the sole musician, engineer, and producer for the entire release, aside from session vocals by Craig Cairns on certain tracks along with Jose Vegas on bass for “No Borders” and Javi One doing drums on “2 Hours to Go”. Originally fifteen tracks were recorded, but only eleven were kept on the release, some with lyrics and others that are instrumental. This was a challenge for Rivas, but overall a very satisfying experience for him. He explains further:

“In this album, I’ve been focusing on my own experiences, my ups, and downs, and most importantly how to achieve your goals with confidence. It comes from my thoughts from years ago, and most of the songs were composed years back. It is important to mention that I am from Venezuela, a Hispanic country, my native language is Spanish, but since I was a kid, I’ve been listening to music in English, it sounds natural for me despite it sometimes being hard when it is time to write your own lyrics in this language, however, I keep learning and reading to improve my writing.”

Recommended for fans of Stratovarius, Joe Satriani, and Metallica, “This is Lyonen” is available on Apple Music, Spotify, and Lyonen.com/music.

Fans can expect more music from Lyonen in the near future as Rivas is working on recording the follow-up album.

About:

Music is energy – Luis Rivas said so. Music composer and Creator of the band “Lyonen,” Luis Rivas – nicknamed Tato Rivas – spent a significant part of his life devoted to music production in the genres of Metal and Rock. When it comes to the genre of metal, music requires a whole new level of involvement. “I started playing in 1995, and I have not stopped since,” Tato said.

Tato Rivas was born in Caracas, capital of Venezuela, spent his childhood listening to popular metal bands, and moved to Maryland, United States in 2016 for professional reasons and now he is getting ready to fulfill his dreams in the music industry and build his name. It has been a lifelong goal of him to find opportunities in music career – therefore, his unstoppable passion is getting closer to that moment.

Luis graduated in Audio Engineering in 2003 with four years of Study of Music, including Classical Guitar. With currently working as a Multimedia Producer, Luis has additional insight into the world of music videos and photography – which landed him the Promax BDA Award doing Promotion Audio Mixing for a TV Station and other awards as Director of a Documentary short film.

In 2017, Luis started his one-person project like a metal band named Lyonen, which produces music in the forms of Heavy Metal, Power Metal, and Rock. His profound influence in metal icons like Iron Maiden, Metallica, Helloween, Joe Satriani, Stratovarius, and much more motivated him to hold his position gracefully as a Guitarist, Music Producer, Composer, and Audio Engineer for his band Lyonen.

So far, Tato has been passionate about Heavy Metal, but he aims to produce music in other genres, such as Pop, Classical, and more. Tato Rivas – under the name of Lyonen – is all set for releasing his much-anticipated Debut Album named “This is Lyonen,” which is scheduled to release on 13th August 2020 on all mainstream music platforms like Spotify, iTunes, Youtube Music, Deezer, and many more.

It’s been about two years since the band’s sophomore release “Terror of the Cybernetic Space Monster” and Sacramento sci-fi power metallers Helion Prime returns with their third effort and the much shorter title “Question Everything” set for release on Monday, October 5th, 2020 via their label Saibot Reigns.  This is Helion Prime‘s first album with new vocalist Mary Zimmer, who has also accompanied the band on two separate tours of the United States. The highly anticipated third record is a concept album, with each song revolving around different figures throughout human history that had the courage to question the status quo of their respective worlds/societies, in some cases even dealing with harsh persecution as a result. Those Helion Prime chose to write about-faced prejudice, mockery, ex-communication, and persecution – yet through it all, they held true to their beliefs and ideas. Time would be their greatest ally as their ideas and identities were eventually validated, oftentimes not until after their passing. They serve as an inspiration for all minds to continue thinking outside the box and staying true to themselves.

Venezuela’s Lyonen Brings A New Dynamic To Classic Heavy Metal With Video “Lyonen”

Tato Rivas – Guitarist and Producer – Photo Credit: Barbara Gomez

Lyonen, the solo project from Venezuela’s Luis Rivas, released a debut album “This Is Lyonen” during August of this year. It is a solid eleven-track effort packed with flouring power metal vocals, sweeping solos, and of course, a layer of thundering drums.

Rivas is a talented musician who seeks to push the envelope with his sound and bridge various elements from different genres to make a well-rounded, dynamic style. His music always contains a positive message, and the classic heavy metal track “Lyonen” is no exception. The song recalls a mix of Rivas’ teenage days in the ’80-’90s. It is an anthem for the band’s followers and encourages listeners to be free, do the right things, and stand for truth.

Today, Rivas shares the video for “Lyonen”, which can be viewed on YouTube HERE.

Rivas explains further:

“I want to motivate the listeners through the lyrics while giving them a shot of classic heavy metal with melodic guitar lines and heavy vocals. Lyonen is important to me because this is the first time I can put what I am thinking into a song and I definitely want to do more.”

Aside from session vocals by Craig Cairns on the tracks along with Jose Vegas on bass for “No Borders” and Javi One doing drums on “2 Hours to Go”, Rivas was the sole musician, engineer, and producer for the entire release, which was a challenge, but overall a very satisfying experience for him. Originally fifteen tracks were recorded, but only 11 were kept on the release, fans can expect more music from Lyonen in the near future.

The classic melodic heavy metal is suggested for fans of Helloween, Stratovarius, and Joe Satriani.

“This is Lyonen” was released on August 13th, 2020, and available on Apple Music, Spotify, and Lyonen.com/music.

Out Now! Helion Prime unleash their new album “Question Everything”  available as of October 5th in North America along with Europe via their label Saibot Reigns. In celebration of the full-length release, the band is sharing their music video for the title track that features guest vocals from former band members Heather Michele (ex-Graveshadow, ex-Helion Prime) and Sozos Michael (ex-Helion Prime, Planeswalker).

Guitarist Jason Ashcraft adds:

“It was very exciting getting to work with Heather again on this album, but what makes the title track very special to me is having both Heather and Sozos appear on it. A lot of people don’t understand that we are all still a close family and love working together. When bands have to let go of members it’s not always for negative reasons.

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – October 1, 2020

For fans of Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Metallica, Stratovarius, Helloween, Avenged Sevenfold

Indulge Yourself With Video “Revelation” From Lyonen’s Debut Album “This is Lyonen”

Tato Rivas – Guitarist and Producer – Photo Credit: Barbara Gomez

Luis “Tato” Rivas is fueled by a passion for music, and willingness to spread his message through his solo-project, Lyonen. This comes forth in his debut album “This is Lyonen” released on August 13th, 2020.

Lyonen will have listeners engulfed into the world he creates with his innate talent and powerful compositions. Lyonen is an artist to keep an eye on and ear out for as he is set to cement himself in the music industry for years to come. Rivas shares his excitement about this album:

“This is the beginning of a dream. This album represents a younger version of me trying to reach dreams that were perturbed by opinions, lack of support from family. The cover art is inspired by that boy looking at the horizon with a clear vision of what he wanted, many emotions, and a huge challenge. This album for me is a way to say “I can” no matter what. In the middle of the pandemic without a job without money I said, I am going to do this, and I did it. I want to prove that anyone can do anything they want.”

The track “Revelation” is about not being engrossed in the lives of others and how you need the courage to do your own thing. The lyric, “the weak men always die” infers that a man with no passion is just an empty soul running on autopilot. Soaring powerful vocals are provided by the UK’s Craig Cairns.

Recommended for fans of Iron Maiden, Helloween, and Stratovarius, this release is just the tip of the iceberg for Lyonen; music is constantly being written and there are plans for a follow up album next year.

The album is out now and available on Apple Music, Spotify, and Lyonen.com/music.

Helion Prime have released a new lyric video for the fourth single “Photo 51” off of their upcoming album “Question Everything” due out on October 5th in North America along with Europe via their label Saibot Reigns and October 28th in Japan via Ward Records. The Japanese CD version will feature two exclusive bonus tracks “Prof (Demo)” and “Rain (Trivium Cover)” (track listing below) and is available for pre-order HERE. The band comments on “Photo 51”:

“We are very happy to release the final single for our album “Question Everything”, which comes out one week from today! This song is called “Photo 51” and based on…Photo 51! The first photograph of DNA. This song is a favorite among the band from the new album and those who have heard it seem to claim it as a favorite as well! It might just become a new staple in our live sets! We hope you enjoy Photo 51! And thank you to Scott Kennedy from 12 Inch Media for creating it.”

Watch and listen to “Photo 51” HERE.

It also sees the band’s original singer, Heather Michele, returning in a writing capacity and contributing all lyrics and melodies. Heather Michele also along with other former Helion Prime vocalist Sozos Michael and with John Yelland (Judicator/Dire Peril) add their guest vocals on the full length.

Jason speaks on the album itself:

“This album has truly been amazing to work on. The idea behind it is something I’ve been holding on to since around the time I started the band. Aside from writing some of what I consider to be Prime’s best work it was a great experience getting to work with Heather again on an album as she once again contributed her talents for the lyrics.”

“Question Everything” was produced by Jason Ashcraft and Alex Nasla. Mixing was done by Chris Collier and mastered by Brett Caldas-Lima along with additional mixing/drum edits/reamping plus writing and performance of keyboard arrangements by Alex Nasla of Gear Gods Studio. Guitar/Bass edits by Michael Goodrich and cover art by Marc Whisnant.

Helion Prime have released their third single and the first music video from the upcoming album “Question Everything” due out October 5th.

“The Gadfly” is based on the Greek philosopher “Socrates”. He was found guilty of “impiety” and “corrupting the young”, sentenced to death, and then required to carry out his own execution by consuming a deadly potion of the poisonous plant hemlock.

The video reflects Socrates’ ultimate decision to honor his conviction and carry out his death by hemlock while his followers and friends stood by having to accept his fate.

The video for “The Gadfly” can be viewed via its premiere on MetalInjection HERE.
