Melodic death metallers [EVERTRAPPED] will be unleashing their fourth studio album “The Last Extinction” on May 22, 2020. The Montreal based five-piece intentionally wrote their band name with enclosed brackets to signify the trappings of modern life for all of us and how people, despite their best attempts to break out of the mold are still affixed to a simple controlled existence and futility.

Their forthcoming full length is a mix of the band’s sound that was defined on “The Anomaly” (2012) and “Under The Deep” (2015). With influences ranging from death metal to melodic death primarily, along with some classic thrash and speed metal, which explains their technicality and diversity sonically, the album overall will give fans a very heavy post-apocalypse feel. It’s meant to mix the dark and light of the end of all things. Fans of Arch Enemy, Persefone, Whitechapel, Death, and Fleshgod Apocalypse will feel the whirlwind of aggression.

Today the band is sharing the lyric video for their second single ‘Truth Behind Disorder’ via its premiere on The Circle Pit’s YouTube channel HERE.

The band explains the track:

“This song was written almost as a story that explores the negative effects of oppression towards advanced thinking. For the most part, more specifically, the oppression of organized religious groups. As the chorus of the song mentions ‘holy men,’ it kind of gives it away. But mostly depicts said negative effects as being the truth behind why the world, in some cases, is in such chaos. And the story ends with a conclusion suggesting one school of thought that if this is allowed to continue, and in this case suggests that if we continue this way, well you might as well give up now and be prepared to watch half the world burn because that’s the more likely outcome.”

Since 2007, [Evertrapped] has brought together their collective experience from the Montreal metal scene to create their heavy brand of melodic death metal. The guitarists Frederick Dupuis (ex-Daggerfalls) and Vincent Benoit hammer out raw guitar while drummer Eric Lemire (ex-Apocalypsys, ex-Ice Castle) pummels the drums. Their versatile frontman James Brookes (ex-Ammonia, ex-One Final Moment, Continuum) easily alternates between strong clear vocals and low bellowing screams giving listeners the illusion of more than one vocalist. John Yates (ex-AraPacis) weaves together each song with his driving bass lines to keep the energy of the punishing track at an all-time high.

Their lyrics come from two places. One from the dark and exaggerated metaphors for things actually based on personal events. The other is lyrics that are only loosely based in reality and have an almost fantasy-like appeal. Sometimes the reality can be based on what could be the actual state of the world as it is or an image of a future where the world is on the brink of an apocalypse. The overall idea is that the lyrics are not meant to be understood at face value in any way. It’s an art form that’s open to interpretation by the listener.

[Evertrapped]’s new album “The Last Extinction” will be available for stream and download on Spotify, Bandcamp and Apple Music as of May 22nd.

“If you’re looking for some heavy Lamb Of God vibes, heavier than the newer Lamb Of God has to offer, this is the band you’ve been needing in your life. The main chunk of the song(Sorrow (Nothing More In Between)) is straight to the point heavy metal. Harsh, aggressive, and ready to go.” – Metal Injection

‘’Those looking for melodic death metal on the heavier end of the spectrum need apply here…be ready to pump some fists, bang some heads, and reminisce back to a time when melodic death metal wasn’t all about clean, poppy choruses – just raw and memorable carnage.’’  – Dead Rhetoric

“I’ve played with some of the best metal drummers in the world and I’d put you up alongside them any day!” – Jeff Waters (Annihilator guitarist)

“Evertrapped, and as they lay their claim as one of the front runners of melodic death metal in all of the land” – Bucket List Music Reviews

‘’It’s clear these guys are not followers. They make their own brand of Melodic Death.’’  – Metal France

‘’Under The Deep is a full-throttle melodic death metal release that endlessly descends into new layers of carnage as the album progresses.’’  – Worship Metal

Metal Injection premiere’s [EVERTRAPPED]’s new music video ‘Sorrow (Nothing More In Between)’, which comes from their new album “The Last Extinction” due out May 22, 2020.

Watch the video HERE.

A playthrough of  ‘Sorrow (Nothing More In Between)’ will take the listener through a variety of sub-genres, primarily melodic death metal, but with the occasional flourish of thrash and speed metal. The video accompanying the single is a great visual addition to see the band in action. The lyrical theme is about being on the receiving end (or lack thereof) of a connection between two people where one knows they aren’t giving enough yet persist. A situation that is relatable to all.

“The Last Extinction” is the fourth album from the Montreal, Canada melodic death metal band; it is a mix of the sound that was defined on “The Anomaly” (2012) and “Under The Deep” (2015). A blend of both straight to the throat heavy gutturals, rampaging metal and the softer, clean vocals and warm, melodic riffs, the band explains the progression in their own words:

“When it gets heavy, it gets really heavy but there are plenty of parts that open up and give way to clear vocals or a nice blend of gutturals and cleans and in some cases, some types of riffs that [Evertrapped] has never really experimented with before. Each song takes the listener on a quasi-progressive death metal adventure, but every now and then keeps coming back to simpler catchy riffs made for some hardcore headbanging.”

For fans of Arch Enemy, Persefone, and Whitechapel, [Evertrapped]’s new album will be available for stream and download on Spotify, Bandcamp and Apple Music as of May 22nd.

Montreal, QC’s brutal melodic death five-piece [Evertrapped] is revealing the artwork and track listing for their fourth studio album “The Last Extinction” set for release on May 22, 2020. The album marks the band’s return to follow up their highly praised 2015 album “Under The Deep” and showcases their darkest, almost apocalyptic overtone compared to previous releases.

With influences ranging from death metal to melodic death primarily, along with some classic thrash and speed metal, “The Last Extinction” overall will give fans a very heavy post-apocalypse feel. It’s meant to mix the dark and light of the end of all things. Fans of Arch Enemy, Persefone, Whitechapel, Death and Fleshgod Apocalypse will feel the whirlwind of aggression.

The band’s lyrics come from two places. One from the dark and exaggerated metaphors for things actually based on personal events, the other is lyrics that are only loosely based in reality and have an almost fantasy-like appeal. Sometimes the reality can be based on what could be the actual state of the world as it is or an image of a future where the world is on the brink of an apocalypse, which can even relate to the current global situation created by Covid 19 that has affected so many.

Vocalist James Brookes explains the album in further detail:

“Our new album ‘Last Extinction’ is almost an amalgamation of what we did on “The Anomaly” (2012) and “Under The Deep” (2015). On “The Anomaly” there was room for some clear vocals and it had an overall softer sound (within the confines of death metal) whereas “Under The Deep” went straight for the throat with very little room to stop and breathe and no clean vocals at all. Either way works just fine, but this new album “The Last Extinction” offers both of these aspects. When it gets heavy, it gets really heavy but there are plenty of parts that open up and give way to clear vocals or a nice blend of gutturals and clean and in some cases, some types of riffs that [Evertrapped] has never really experimented with before. Each song takes the listener on a quasi-progressive death metal adventure, but every now and then keeps coming back to simpler catchy riffs made for some hardcore headbanging.”

The band’s name is intentionally written with enclosed brackets to signify the trappings of modern life for all of us and how people, despite their best attempts to break out of the mold are still affixed to a simple controlled existence and futility.

0 Out Today! Krvsade’s New EP “Judgement Day”

For fans of Sepultura, Death, Morbid Angel, Vader, Slayer, Kreator
Out Today! Krvsade‘s New EP “Judgement Day”

https://krvsade.bandcamp.com
https://music.apple.com/us/album/judgement-day-single/1493314203
What the press is saying:
“I can highly recommend this to anyone who yearns for that ‘old school’ vibe that seems to be so highly sought after. Krvsade nail what it takes to be an old school blackened thrash act in the 21st century by sticking true to tried and tested traits, but by expanding their sound into more sludgy territory at the same time…damn good, solid, thrashing fun time.” – The Metal Observer

“The opening title track is a fine example of what the Krvsade are about, old school Sepultura, Death or even Morbid Angel style guitar work and recording esthetics, pulverising kit work from Dennis and demonic vocals from Evans. You can just picture Evans eyes lit up electric blue as he spits fire from his mouth and shoots lighting bolts from his palms.” – Metal Noise

“Krvsade stand poised to seize the rusty metal crown of the Queen City, as there is a conscious malignancy lurking in the depths of their songwriting, waiting to rear its hideous head.” – Exclaim

“full of bangers!” – Ghost Cult Magazine

“Listen to it until your ears bleed, and then listen to it again.” – ROXX100.com

“A giant dose of talent in this Ep; a sinister environment enhanced by a well balanced rhythm section, a great structure and an inspired solo in JUDGEMENT DAY. KEEP IN THE CHURCH is more squared with deep vocals and great changes of time. Not least next THE KEY AND THE GATE. A band to keep an eye on! Interesting!” – Hardrockheavymetal

“Made up of only 3 songs, the EP starts off with a bang, combining thrash and death metal in a powerful title track that can be easily pictured as the soundtrack for a savage moshpit.” – Metal Blast

“Krvsade from North Carolina, USA, drop this brutal 3 x track EP and my lord does it pack a punch, and for £2.97 from Amazon, it’s worth every penny… very imaginative riffing going on and plenty to remember.” 5/5 – PlanetMosh

“Krvsade slam out some awesome old school death/thrash metal on their new EP Judgment Day. These three songs are what just what the metal doctor ordered full of anger, aggression and powerful lyrics. Great evil vocals that slash through awesome guitar riffs that are both fast and heavy.” – The Dirty Room

“If you like it heavy and dark, I believe you will like this one. This slashin’ thrashin’ journey is built on a foundation of some very powerful drum work with amazing guitar accents sprinkled throughout. The vocals are what nightmares are made of, and I mean that in a complimentary manner… I strongly recommend checking out this Death/Thrash Metal combo, it works for me.” – Boston Rock Radio

“For my money, thrash with a heavy dose of death metal has always been more fertile ground for bands looking to make their mark after the genre’s 80s heyday. Charlotte’s Krvsade is clearly of the same opinion. Their second EP, Judgement [sic] Day is a promising, if overly brief, show of force from a band still finding their footing in today’s metal scene.” – Toilet ov Hell

“Krvsade is firing on all cylinders and boasting some changes, they really have developed an impressive sound.” – Crannk

Charlotte’s Krvsade will be releasing their new EP “Judgement Day” this Friday, January 31, 2020. Before it officially drops, the band has teamed up with GhostCultMag for the EP’s exclusive full stream HERE.

Krvsade has come a long way from their 2017 debut EP “Militum Infernum” and they are excited to show off this stark contrast to the previous material to fans. Comparing the new release to their previous one, the band states:

“This EP is definitely a change compared to ‘Militum Infernum’. Whereas Militum was more raw and pure in your face, ‘Judgement Day’ has some twists and turns. The playing is better and I think fans will appreciate a band that’s firing on all cylinders and not holding anything back. It’s a good example of the rebirth of this band. Our sound evolving from the rawness it previously was. More mature and progressive. It’s a fun ride from start to finish.” says vocalist/guitarist Andre Evans.

New, refreshed and boasting some line-up changes, Krvsade is here to stay. “Judgement Day” is coming and it’s going to be an exciting, aggressive ride for everyone. The EP as a whole is just an appetizer for the main course which is to come.

Fans of Slayer, old school Sepultura, Kreator, and Morbid Angel should keep an eye on these guys.

EP pre-order available on Bandcamp.

About:

Released from the depths in 2015, Krvsade is a mind-shattering thrash assault destined to conquer stages across the nation and the world. A new blend of extreme metal from Charlotte, USA, Krvsade incorporates death and black metal into the thrash equation, resulting in an original, brutal sound.

The four members of Krvsade work together to refine each melodic track, starting with Andre Evans (guitar/vocals) defining the skeleton of the song with riff ideas and the occasional chorus. The framework is sent to Keegan Dennis (drums) to flesh out a solid foundation and once that is done, it passes to Arthur Reid (guitar) and Jeb Laird (bass) for final attunement. Lyrical themes encompass anything from the end of days to religion and real-life events.

Having shared the stage with the likes of Inquisition, Nervosa, and Uada, Krvsade is first and foremost a live band. With seasoned musicians comprising the line-up, a live gig from Krvsade is intense and interactive. Raw and in the moment, it’s not a numb, over choreographed school play. This is real, in your face, fast and angry metal; a full set of four dudes losing their minds. The way it should be.

Krvsade released their debut offering ‘Militum Infernum’ in 2017, featuring the first three songs they ever wrote as a band. Growth and evolution are apparent in the newest recording, ‘Judgment Day’ EP arriving in January 2020. According to the band, this latest 3 track record is only an appetizer for the full course that is coming soon.

“I can highly recommend this to anyone who yearns for that ‘old school’ vibe that seems to be so highly sought after. Krvsade nail what it takes to be an old school blackened thrash act in the 21st century by sticking true to tried and tested traits, but by expanding their sound into more sludgy territory at the same time…damn good, solid, thrashing fun time.” – Metal Observer

“Listen to it until your ears bleed, and then listen to it again.” – Roxx100

Formed in 2016 by guitar players Riccardo D’Angelo and Roberto Simonetti, CHRONICLES OF HATE was raised from the depths of hell with the clear purpose of blending the solid impact of traditional death metal with grooving vibes. Their lyrics are inspired by real events that feed the anger and strong emotions that occur in our daily lives. Influenced by the old school pioneers of the genre such as At The Gates, In Flames, Death, their debut “The Birth of Hate” is a personal interpretation of the tendencies from both old and modern metal.

The band adds about the full length and single:

“The title track off the album, ‘The Birth of Hate’ is inspired by Swedish death metal. It talks about the effects of a catastrophic event and politic corruption. When human values are forgotten, hate takes place. The album itself is our first creation and is the beginning of our adventure. It’s a journey through the facets of the anger and motivations that feed it. This album talks about strong emotions and the breaking point from which you cannot go back. We mix different elements of metal for this release, you will find breakdowns, and you will find fast death metal riffs along with intentional melodic parts to give it our own personal sound.”
