Since 1994, GHOULUNATICS have been ravaging the underground with their personal blend of metal and hardcore and have built a solid discography of releases since then. As of April 26th, they will have a new addition, their first in over 10 years, the new single “Move Along” that continues their hardcore ‘rotten roll’.

The band comments:

“We hope our fans will be excited to hear new music from us. It will be the first new recording since the album Cryogénie in 2006. We are celebrating our 25th anniversary in 2019, so we wanted to celebrate with new tunes and go on the road more than we have these last couple of years. And let’s hope we can make new fans as well! Bring on the shows!! We’re back!”

Working collaboratively, Patrick Mireault (vocals); Patrick Gordon (guitar); Gary Lyons (bass); Francis Dubois (guitar) and Brian Craig (drums) meld punk, death metal and rock n’ roll together to form their signature diablerie. “Move Along” focuses on GHOULUNATICS’ hardcore influences, and while they aren’t taking a new step musically, they have chosen to let this particular influence take the reins.

GHOULUNATICS is sure to please anyone who appreciates a loud, explosive, rockin’ good time, especially those already interested in bands such as Entombed, Slayer, and Cancer Bats.

Watch “Move Along” via Bravewords.com  at http://bravewords.com/news/exclusive-ghoulunatics-premiere-first-single-music-video-in-over-10-years

About:

The Montreal based band Ghoulunatics made its name thanks to their very energetic stage presence and its own artistic signature and composition methods, resulting in a unique musical footprint that distinguishes them from the masses.

From 1994 to 2008, Ghoulunatics traveled all over Quebec and Ontario relentlessly, always putting the pedal to the metal. They made their mark on the Quebec and Canadian metal and hardcore scenes, but also garnered attention abroad. In 2004, Ghoulunatics toured Germany for the album Sabacthany. In 2006, with the release of Cryogenie, they rocked France after being signed to the label Enraged Productions, home of well-known French bands like Tagada Jones and Lofofora, etc. After 15 years of Rotten Roll, Ghoulunatics split amicably in 2008, ending with a sold-out show at Foufounes Electriques in Montreal. The group came out of retirement in 2010 to headline a food drive event. They hit the stage again in 2012 for a show at Club Soda, and have since been playing 2-3 times a year since then for special events or festivals.

2019 marks the 25th anniversary of the band as well as the return of Ghoulunatics! The group is currently working on new music for the first time since Cryogenics (2006) and will launch a single with the hopes of releasing an EP during the course of the year. Watch out! The ghouls are back!!

NEWS RELEASE

Ottawa, ON – December 4, 2018

New Album “Sinister” Out Now!

Drawing their inspiration from a wide variety of genres, OMINOUS ECLIPSE is a brutal quartet that create a unique hybrid sound with death metal being the main aspect combined with elements of thrash, groove, black, melodic, etc. Unleashing their sophomore album “Sinister” this past September, the band have put together a new lyric video for their track “Breaking The Chains” premiered on Bravewords.com.

Watch it now at the following link: http://bravewords.com/news/exclusive-ominous-eclipse-premieres-breaking-the-chains-lyric-video

For those in the Ottawa area, OMINOUS ECLIPSE will be performing on December 11th opening for The Faceless, Rings of Saturn, Vales of Pnath and more at Mavericks. Full details here.

“Sinister” is now streaming at the following link: https://youtu.be/PWKEeTguj-w

Plus available on Bandcamp, iTunes, Amazon, Google Play and Spotify.

Music Video – “Sinister” – https://youtu.be/ZkCr2u_wHfs

The band comments:

“There’s no concept or theme on this album so all the songs have different meaning. The title track itself divulges into the inevitable end to humanity and potentially the world with it. It discusses the issues around the globe and also addresses the ignorance and selfishness of those indirectly affected by the chaos. It has a strong “United We Stand, Divided We Fall” theme in regards to how people can turn their backs on those in need in order to save their own skin, which ironically will lead to our end as it causes people to turn on each other. Musically for this album, you will notice we have evolved from the first release and have moved away from thrashy overtones to become more diverse including more heavily stated melodic and technical with a solid groove and death foundation.”

“Sinister” follows their 2015 debut full length “End Of Days” and EP “Beyond The Apocalypse” released that same year. Active since 2014, OMINOUS ECLIPSE is a very ambitious band passionate about writing and playing extreme music. They have already shared the stage with the likes of Revocation, The Agonist, Kalmah, Archspire, Incantation, Vesperia, Beyond Creation, Rivers of Nihil to name a few.

“Their new song “Spiral Into Insanity” has a strong death metal foundation, including very melodic leads, but there’s more than enough groovy thrash inspiration and even a hint of black metal there. ” – Decibel Magazine

“a game changing release for Ominous Eclipse that places them center stage for my pick of the best Canadian Metal release this year….Every track stands strongly on its own, thanks to the band’s immense talent and flawless production. Ominous Eclipse is a band that carries the banner for the N.W.O.C.D.M. with pride and distinction. Out September 14th on all streaming platforms, I would recommend Sinister to fans of Death, Iron Maiden, Infernal Majesty and Gojira.” – Hellbound

“Demonstrating their ability to blend genres within metal to create a compelling album, this is an impressive sophomore delivery. Each track brings something different and feels refreshing even after multiple listens.” – Splice Magazine

“‘Sinister’ is a high-energy track launched by heartless riff jabs, ear-scouring string squeals, and neck-snapping drumwork. The vocals come for your throat, too, in an effusion of heartless roars and face-scraping shrieks, and the song is accented by flurries of spidery, darting fretwork and by a pair of flashy, fluid, but demented solos. It becomes a thrashing gallop, but without becoming any less venomous in its delivery.” – No Clean Singing

“The crowd was stellar at Mavericks, where each of the four bands were well represented by their fan bases. Opening on the night were Ominous Eclipse, whose chunky, frantic thrash metal din was led by their howling frontman. Largely drawing from their 2015 album End of Days, the four-piece pounded through six songs, tackling tracks like “Pestilence,” Abandoned” and the album’s particularly solid title track. Helping to limber the crowd for the chaos to come, they called for a “wall of death” in the confines of the club and the fans delivered, clearing the centre of the floor before the opposing sides barrelled into one another, bodies flying everywhere.” – Exclaim! (Live Review opening for Kalmah April 2016)

Determined to sound like a combination of their one million favorite death metal bands they envelop technical death metal in an eternal party. Killitorous is a chaotic concoction, best described as technical party chaos death grind and it’s a true 90s death metal experience complete with one hell of an AfterParty!

LONG BIO
Looking to become the band they never saw, Killitorous is comprised of the passion to grind and the general love of technical death metal. Formed in 2006 in Ottawa, Canada; Killitorous is made up of current and former members of Suffocation, Cryptopsy, Annihilator and a myriad of other bands. Determined to sound like a combination of their one million favorite death metal bands they envelop technical death metal in an eternal party. A bit cheeky and a metric fuck ton of fun, Killitorous is that raunchy but charismatic friend who fuels every party. Working together in 90’s style, Aaron Homma (guitar) writes the main bits (sometimes with members of other bands), Nick Miller (guitar) and Marc Roy (guitar) sprinkle in the harmonies, Eric Morotti (drums) thickens the sauce and the lyrics are written together.

“It’s fucked up really if you think about it”, quips Mat Dhani (vocals), “We name the songs first, which are based on the funniest most memorable topics and scenarios we could come up with. Some true, mostly crazy.”

The demo “Pretend to Make Babies” was released in 2010 and their debut full-length album “Party, Grind” was released in 2014. 5 years later, the continuation of that album will be released in 2019, the aptly named “AfterParty”. It’s more melodic in sound but they’ve ramped up the technically with 3 no- stop guitar harmonies. Killitorous is a chaotic concoction, best described as technical party chaos death grind and it’s a true 90s death metal experience complete with one hell of an AfterParty!

About:

Formed when three Newfoundlanders crossed paths in the Canadian heavy metal capital with Ahmed Saad who hails from the Middle East, the injection of music immediately began to flow through their veins and M.E.C.H. metal was soon born.

“It stands for Middle East Coast Heavy Metal; Our drummer being from the Middle East and the rest of the members being from the east coast of Canada,” explains Stephen Reynolds (bass, vocals). ‘Every single person in this band is a songwriter, so the songs come out with their own feel and develop naturally.’ continues Reynolds. ‘We don’t shackle ourselves to any kind of focused idea, which brings about a sort of honesty in the music not often found in metal.’

Winnipeg’s Psychotic Gardening Pledge Allegiance To Chuck Schuldiner With Cover of DEATH Classic On Bravewords.com

L-R – Matt Penner (Drums) – Mike Janssen (Bass) – Gillishammer (Vocals) – Chuck Labossiere (Guitar/Vocals) – Andrew Wiens (Guitar) – Photo Credit: Barry McCaulkner

Winnipeg’s death metal troopers Psychotic Gardening have teamed up with Bravewords.com for the exclusive premiere of their tribute to Death with their cover of ‘Open Casket‘ featuring guest appearances from Tim Roth (Into Eternity) and Chuck Wepfer (Broken Hope).

Bravewords.com Stream – http://www.bravewords.com/news/219751

Both Andrew Wiens (guitar) and Chuck Labosssiere (guitar/vocals) comment:

“Awhile back, we played with Massacre at a Chuck Schuldiner tribute show and we played ‘Open Casket.’  It turned out really cool with the slow grinding PG spin, so we just had to record it.” – Andrew Wiens
“As it is for a lot of people, Death was a big influence on us. We wanted to pay homage but also do our own thing with it, slowing it down, making it ‘doomy.’  We like to be creative and original even when we do covers. Both Tim (Roth) and Chuck (Wepfer) are naturally big Death fans themselves, so it just worked out to be this great collaboration and tribute. I’m honoured to have these two guys appear on this song, they are great friends and awesome players” – Chuck Labossiere

Psychotic Gardening return in 2014 with new material and the return of Chuck Labossiere after he filled in with Broken Hope for tour dates in Europe and Canada. Their forthcoming album ‘Hymnosis’ is set for release on May 13th and will follow up 2011’s ‘Humanitorium’ and 2007’s debut ‘Hürdür’.

Featuring nine heavy hitting assaults, ‘Hymnosis’ is sure to bang skulls with its full-throttle, go-for-the-throat execution of doom and black metal. In this release the band digs into its death metal roots for a concoction of their most vicious material while still hammering down on doom-laden monster riffs.
