This past March, Montreal’s Your Last Wish performed at Quebec City’s Le FestEvil, a festival celebrating women in metal and created to coincide with International Women’s Day. The goal of the festival was to highlight the great contribution and need for more presence of women in the Quebec metal scene. Le FestEvil was founded by the Canadian death metal band The Flaying guitarist Didier Samson and co-produced by Rope Dancer Productions and District 7 Production.

During their set at Le FestEvil, Your Last Wish captured live video of their track ‘Pursuit’ from their latest album “Eradicate” released this past February. Today, the band has teamed up with MetalInsider.net for the premiere of the video HERE.

With roots in classic death and thrash metal, the melodic death metallers are darker, heavier, and have matured in their sound. Your Last Wish‘s new concept album “Eradicate” beautifully exploits post-apocalyptic themes. It is a bilingual album with songs in both English and French along with being composed and recorded entirely by guitarist David Gagné, while all lyrics were written by vocalist Roxana Bouchard.

Formed in 2003, Your Last Wish is a death metal band with thrash metal overtones, melodic yet aggressive, which should appeal to fans of The Black Dahlia Murder, Hatesphere and Darkest Hour. Hailing from Montreal, Canada the group has encapsulated a wide variety of influences to produce a sound that is haunting and harsh, delicate and disciplined.

Using 8 strings guitars, the band has even more possibilities to achieve the desired sound of frantic riffs and evil vocals. Releasing their third studio album “Eradicate” this past February, Montreal’s Your Last Wish are sharing their band playthrough video for the track ‘Exile’ available for the viewing pleasure of fans worldwide.

With roots in classic death and thrash metal, the melodic death metallers are darker and heavier this time around and in the video, they flaunt their matured sound and show off their thrash side coupled with odd-time signatures.

“Eradicate” is a concept album, beautifully exploiting post-apocalyptic themes. It is a bilingual album with songs in both English and French. The album was composed and recorded entirely by guitarist David Gagné, while all lyrics were written by vocalist Roxana Bouchard. Track ‘Pandore’ features a guest appearance by Beyond Creation’s Simon Girard.

Comprised of several musicians with a long history in Calgary’s metal scene (Culled, After Earth, Meddigo, False Flag, WAKE, Disciples of Power, Exit Strategy, and Razorwing), THIRD CHAMBER is cooking up a new, yet familiar death metal sound that will nourish even the pickiest of metal enthusiasts. If you’re a fan of bands such as Black Dahlia Murder, Suffocation, At the Gates, Misery Index, and Napalm Death, then you’ll want to check out the advance full stream of their debut EP “Harvesting Our Decay” via its exclusive premiere on NoCleanSinging.com HERE. The EP is due out Friday, November 22nd.

With death being the main ingredient in their metal melting pot, hints of grindcore and hardcore also stand out amidst flavours of their politically charged lyrics. THIRD CHAMBER is not music for the soft, besides being musically ferocious, the lyrical content is a brutal reflection of the current state of the world. LONG BIO

In the cold brisk autumn of 2014, five musicians came together haphazardly from the ashes of previous projects with a small batch of material on the table. A year later, Dustin Hahn (drums), Jamie McIsaac (guitar), Jay (guitar), and Russ Gauthier (bass) had enough polished material to fill a full set but were lacking a vocalist. It wasn’t until 2017 when the perfect match was found in Shane Hawco and the lineup was finally deemed complete.

With death being the main ingredient in their metal melting pot, hints of grindcore and hardcore also stand out amidst flavours of politically charged lyrics. It starts with Jay and McIssac hammering out riffs which get stirred together and sent to Hahn who adds a heavy dose of blast beats. Gauthier and Hawco add the final garnishes and the chugging death metal feast is ready to be served violently.

Set to drop their debut EP “Pre-Meditated” on Friday, September 20th, 2019, Ottawa’s TripleMurder is here to make listeners question what they think about pigeonholing bands into sub-genres by offering everything from chunky groovy riffs, blast beats, to breakdowns and two-steps along with everything in between. They refuse to be set into one specific genre and consistently break rules over the course of their debut six-song EP. From their track ‘Eyes Of Judgement’ being a homage to their hardcore/death metal roots with a melodic spin to their song ‘Boogeyman’ being a more complex punch with intricate breakdowns and more experimental guitar and drum work. Their lyrical themes involve the state of the human race, politics and social media scares to just everyday life and human interactions. TripleMurder explains the release further:

“We believe that it should be received as a wake-up call to the metal industry that you don’t have to confine yourself to a certain subgenre of metal to write heavy tunes. It’s all about having fun and showing off everybody’s musical tastes in the band.”

Musically, the track (Crawl) is a mix of seething guitar bursts and brutish pounding grooves, jagged jabbing chords and squirming arpeggios, vicious shrieks and carnivorous roars. It’s part racing melee and part methodical, pile-driving punishment. The sophomore album “Angry, Undead” was released this past march via PRC Music. Working with Christian Donaldson of Cryptopsy at The Grid in Montreal, QC, the album is pure mayhem for their fastest and most brutal debauchery to date. The concept of “Angry, Undead” is an intricate one with each of the eight songs falling under a distinct axis: Chaos (social manifestations); Madness (individual manifestations); and Void (existential manifestations). It is brutal, instinctive, unique, and wicked, and is recommended for fans of Cryptopsy, Archspire, Suffocation, and Deicide.

And it all began with the rope dancer….

Formed in July 2010, The Flaying is a death metal band based in Quebec City, Canada that focuses on fluid melodic construction of songs featuring brutal sections which are further complemented by vocals with both low end growls and hateful high pitches.

Since their first release Unhope (2014), Seb, Did, Wil and Mike are forging ahead in order to adopt a more brutal approach: adding new grooves, a greater velocity, and creating a wider ambiance as well as keeping breakdowns and progressive parts with counterpoints constructing a main theme of anger and a general hate of humanity.

Soldiering on with the philosophy of one band, four individuals, four personalities to collide, the writing process is a team effort initially seeing the band collaborate on riffs and groove ideas, adding a flourish of low-end colors, and blending the whole thing together with flying vocals that create a manifest of pure mayhem. This product of this steadfast diablerie will be realized on March 22, 2019, when the second album “Angry, Undead” is unleashed on PRC Music.

Ottawa’s TripleMurder are sharing with fans their second single ‘Crawl’ ft. Eric Forget from A Scar For The Wicked. The song comes from the band’s forthcoming debut EP “Pre-Meditated” slated for release on September 20th, 2019 and is a flurry of blood, guts, and breakdowns.

TripleMurder is a band with a lot to offer their listeners, everything from chunky groovy riffs, blast beats, to breakdowns and two-steps and everything in between they refuse to be set into one specific genre and consistently break rules over the course of their 6 song EP.
