Moribund Records – Out Now! Canadian Thrashers TRISKELYON New Album “Artificial Insanity” ft. Guests From Infrared, TYMO, Category VI, Naitaka and More!

+ New Music Video “Bringers of Chaos”

Canada’s new power thrash metal gods Triskelyon sophomore album “Artificial Insanity” (mixed and mastered by Michael Small (Winterhearth, Triskelyon, Artach)) is now available as of September 8th via Moribund Records. Led by guitarist and band founder Geoff Waye, Triskelyon’s second full-length “Artificial Insanity” follows their radio chart-topping debut album “Downfall” (2022) and features guests from the crème de le crème of the Canadian metal scene to create a varied album that delivers both pure thrash metal classics, hints of blackened melodic thrash, and enough power metal to bring one back to the 1980s. The full-length showcases the vocal talents of Amanda Jackman (Category VI), Armin Kamal (Infrared), Cara McCutchen (Mortillery, Naitaka), Dale Drew (Sea Dogs), Des Mason, Ellim, Pete Healey, Raúl Álvarez (Dark Order-Aus.) and Tim Tymo (Tymo). Drum duties on the record are shared between Raul Marques (Burning Torment) and Alexander Raykov (Antreib), while Dwayne Pike, Keith Jackman (Category VI), and Darrin Pope were conscripted on bass.

Geoff Waye comments:

“Today is the day! It marks the release of the second Triskelyon album, titled “ARTIFICIAL INSANITY.” While I personally composed all the music and penned the lyrics, the realization of this project became a reality thanks to the collaboration with a myriad of talented guests featured on the album. I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to each and every one of them for their incredible contributions, and I hope for the possibility of working together again in the future.”

In celebration of the album’s release, Triskelyon is proud to present a new music video for the song “Bringers of Chaos”. The track has a sci-fi theme, which aligns perfectly with Waye’s love for science fiction.

“Crafting a song that delves into the enigma of a mysterious alien force expanding across the universe, conquering all it encounters, constitutes the essence of this composition. The initial guitar part is born from a riff that’s been with me since the ’90s. The song starts out with that dissonant VoiVod vibe but transforms into something that feels a bit like old-school Metallica, at least to my ears. What sets this song apart is the inclusion of my former bandmate, Dale Drew, who lends his vocal prowess to the composition. On bass, we have my friend Dwayne Pike, and the rhythmic foundation is once again masterfully executed by Raul Marques on drums.” adds Waye.

“It’s refreshing, for once, to discover a thrash band that aren’t geared towards utter devastation but, rather, crafting a record that an audience can simply put on and vibe to. With more than forty-five minutes to work with, the band still stuck to their guns and applied songwriting that saw every minute feel earned and needed for what their performance entailed.” – The Razor’s Edge

“Waye has shown he can write in any metal style and the guys he got together to perform are world class. The production is pretty big too so, if you like Megadeth, Agent Steel, Exodus, Overkill, etc. then there will be something on here that you like. Me? I liked it all! Hopefully, Canadian metal will be taken a bit more seriously with this release.” – My Global Mind

“classical Thrash Metal tracks and many 80s vibes.” – Metal-Temple

Rimouski’s Quebec’s Vortex is now streaming its third epic concept album set to aggressive and beautiful orchestral melodic death metal with hints of black metal. Each song in “The Future Remains In Oblivion” is one chapter in their well-written sci-fi tale and there is a build-up in intensity and emotion that goes along with the storyline and the lyrics as you traverse the album. They share their thoughts:

“This is an orchestral death metal album with plenty of heavy riffing and melodies, technical vocals, and epic soloing. Some of the songs are riff-oriented and some others had the orchestra and melodies written before the drums and the guitars. We wrote all the lyrics before the music to make sure that it would fit the feel and emotion of each song/part of the story. When we start writing a song, we know exactly what feeling and emotion we are aiming at, it’s a good way to push ourselves creatively and write thoughtful music.”

Those familiar with the previous albums will note that they were more on the ambient/dramatic side. The new album’s songs are still melodic/orchestral but much more aggressive and some of them have a black metal influence. Vortex’s goal was to create songs that would have a greater impact on their live shows, and these aggressive songs will work well live. They feel the album is a good combination of aggression/melody, and ugliness/beauty.

Creativity and storytelling are the key tenets of Vortex. Their masterful lyric writing is equally matched with their prowess in devising riffs, and orchestrations. They will transport the listener into a new world and are recommended for fans of Lorna Shore, Dimmu Borgir, and Fleshgod Apocalypse.

“The Future Remains In Oblivion” is now available as of June 9th, 2023.

“The song’s (The Walls) multi-faceted nature is further revealed in harrowing and haughty growls, jolting chords, and fiery sunbursts of sound, as well as through a swirling melodic guitar solo that spectacularly sends the song into the stratosphere. The song’s finale is itself a full-power spectacle that really gets the adrenaline surging.” – No Clean Singing

“For some music is pure escapism but does that still hold true when bands like Canadian Melodic Death Metal monster Vortex whisk the would be listener into a bleak world that is recovering from a devastating cataclysm? Scenes of war and survival are punctuated with harrowing strings, technical riffs, and guttural and Black Metal inspired vocals as the band weave cinematic stories and orchestral touches into their third concept album “The Future Remains In Oblivion”” – Metal Noise

“An excellent group that you must discover because of the intensity they are able to show” – Ondes Chocs

“The breakdowns are huge in places. There are big moments where the influences pour through, but are blended with giant choral arrangements and symphonics. It’s absolutely like something out of a Lord of the Rings movie. I love the melodies, the harmonics, and the guitar solos. This is absolutely an album which ought to be part of your listening rotation this month. I was genuinely impressed with quite a bit of the entire album. I think that when you look at this album, the absolute banger of the title tack is 100% worth several spins with the blackened guitar riffs and tremendous choral arrangements.” – Metal Epidemic

“The songs you’ll find on this upcoming release are aggressive, but Vortex also has a strong melodic approach and lots of orchestrations combined with guttural, black metal vocals and diverse guitar playing that alternates between howling snippets and beautiful, emotional riffs. Recommended for fans of Shadow of Intent, Septicflesh, and Dimmu Borgir.” – RTMB Music

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – May 25, 2023

ETHEREAL VOID Explore War, Suffering And Demise In “Gods of a Dead World” Streaming Now!

Behold Ethereal Void, a trinity of death metal musicians whose music emanates from the shadows of Ontario, Canada. Infused with groove and progressive elements, their rhythmic dirges speak of the void beyond time and space, a place of emptiness and desolation. Forged in that void, their music embodies the hopelessness of existence, reminding us of the futility of our struggles. Their third album “Gods of a Dead World” is now ready to be shown the light of day and they invite you to indulge in the album stream. They comment:

“This album is definitely our most consistent offering to date. We refined the sound both in writing and production while maintaining a unique angle for every song. The biggest stand-out is the introduction of orchestral elements to the sound. It feels like a long time coming, at least from my perspective. The album is much more refined musically as well. While we generally keep to the traditional EV themes, There is a constant-running sub-theme of the futility and violence of warfare.”

Throughout the album, Ethereal Void takes up through moments of tension, traditional death metal, instrumental interludes, relentless riffs, and anxious melodies. They cover bleak and harsh topics such as war, suicide, a dying planet, and the worship of entropy. The organic conjuring of the album is initially created by Terci Ruina creates, further embellished by Nemesis, and completed by “Voiicide” who also produced, mixed, and mastered it.

“Gods of a Dead World” is raw, visceral, and primitive. The groove-based death metal darkness within is recommended for fans of Gojira, Septic Flesh, and The Design Abstract.

Listen to it in full via its album stream premiere on Bravewords HERE.

“Gods of a Dead World” is due out May 26, 2023, via Abstrakted Records.

““The Voiceless” is a rushing charge. It gets the listener’s pulse pumping because the song itself has such a mad pulse. Many of them actually, from the fast jolts in the fuzzed-out riffage to the die-stamp hammering of the snare and the jackhammer impact of the bass. And it does sound like a mad pulse, thanks to the swarms of frantic tremelo’ed fretwork, the relentless double-bass strafing, and the ugly ravenous growls. While the head-hooking energy of those assaulting ingredients never really lets go, the music does also move sideways. Eerie spectral tones ring out, creating an overlay of melancholy. The music even seems to elevate in wailing splendor, as a prelude to a sorcerous guitar solo that sounds both inviting and yearning, both enticing in its glimmering tones and downcast in its mood. Even the unhinged screams of the vocalist almost sound like singing (almost).” – No Clean Singing

“A compact and concise release, Gods of a Dead World comes in at around 26-minutes long and features a number of sharp and savage pieces of music. Kicking off with a frantic showcase of guitar screams and squeals, with the chunky familiarity of death metal heaviness, Overture to Annihilation gets in, smashes stuff up, and gets out.” – Games Brrraaains & A Head-Banging Life

“or a Death Metal cut “Overture to Annihilation” is a real eye opener, blood soaked in cinematic orchestration and virtuoso lead guitars, the barked vocals having that story telling quality to them. That flows nicely into “The Voiceless“, which introduces the lyrical themes and creatures with Voiicide playing both victim and killer as vocals come from alternate angles with a vocal tweak. It works incredibly well, the riffs flowing freely with chugging aggression, the leads bright and vibrant against the darkness. The way the cuts have been put together has been well thought through, the segway into “Seeds of Hatred” barely noticeable as the flow continues like an orchestral piece but there is also enough of shift to identify the track as being separate.” – Metal Noise

Seattle-based Whythre’s new album “Impregnate My Hate” is about to be released on Friday, May 26th and before it officially drops, its full album stream is being premiered on Metal-Rules HERE.

Whether it’s writhing with wailing solos, slithering with sinuous synth lines, or awash with waves of riptide riffs, Whythre’s latest is without remorse. They came to lay waste and write solid album titles — and they’re all out of album titles. Consequently, “Impregnate My Hate” opens with the single “Scorchbreath”, an onslaught of solos, slamming breakdowns, subtle orchestration, and a sing-along chorus that embodies Whythre’s deft formulation of melodic death metal singed with a blackened edge.

Having been fixtures in the Seattle metal scene since 2016, band members Shon Petrey, Adam Chambers, Eric Close, and Steve Fournier know their way around both riff craft and laying down a tight performance. But Whythre’s latest expulsion of fury seethes like a band that’s only getting started, from the first violent lick to the final double-bass kick.

Follow along to standout tracks like “Immanence”, which thunders along with the certainty of slow death and offers little in the way of forgiveness, or to Scorpions of Sinai, which has a groove guaranteed to move any circle pit. The fury of Whythre’s writing is real, but fury is rarely this much fun: expect to get your ass kicked, and enjoy it.

When asked how they expect the album to be received by fans, Chambers replies that they just enjoy the creative process and evoking good memories, and are otherwise not concerned about how other people view it. Petrey expects that his mother will be just as, if not more disappointed with this one as previous efforts, Fournier suggests that fans will be surprised with their new material citing new blood in the band and a concise vision helped shape their most impressive record to date; and Close says that fans will be able to feel the energy from the album and that it will provide an electrifying experience for them.

For those who have the privilege of seeing Whythre play live, at the conclusion of their performance they will either hear the Mortal Kombat voice in their heads saying ‘FLAWLESS VICTORY’ or feel relief that they chose to shelter in the bathroom during their set.

The album was produced and mixed by Shon Petrey, it was mastered by Levi Seitz at Black Belt Recordings, the album artwork was done by Andrzej Masianis and the graphic design was done by Ryan Ricketts.

Recommended for fans of Children of Bodom, Hypocrisy, and Hans Zimmer, “Impregnate My Hate” is due out on May 26th, 2023 via High Point Records and is available for pre-order at https://whythre.bandcamp.com.

“The album as a whole is a hell of a twisting and turning trip, which might appeal especially to fans of Hypocrisy and Children of Bodom. You’ll get another taste of the album in its first single, “Scorchbreath“, which features backing vocals by Gabe Tachell (Whythre‘s first vocalist) and Carolina Chambers.” – No Clean Singing

“There is no mistaking that with this new album Whythe sound rejuvenated, the new rhythm section as precise and destructive as a laser guided missile. As a listener, opening cut “Scorchbreath” is exactly what you want. Punchy and aggressive, crossing sub-genre territories with death defying leaps with an onslaught of Thrash infused riffage, short and violent bursts of Black Metal inspired blast beats, gang chant moments in the chorus and the odd ethereal touch a real demonstration of prowess. That’s before we’ve mentioned the twin axe attack of the extended solo which will melt your face off… before the kick in the guts that is the title track “Impregnate My Hate“.” – Metal Noise

DOREA’s Debut Video “Hypnotic” Ensnares You Into Another Consciousness

Mixed and Mastered by Chris Donaldson (Cryptopsy)

L-R – Manuel Iradian – All Guitars/ Bass/ Vsts, Hugo McSween – Vocals, Kevin Alexander – Drums

Montreal, Canada’s Dorea is a fresh metal band on the scene that features high energy, tightness, and precision, a clear, modern sound with both clean and harsh vocals, insane guitar solos, and crushing drums. They are eager to introduce themselves to the world with their debut single along with many others they have recorded since their inception. They have carefully chosen their forthcoming music to show listeners what they’re capable of and they deliver nothing less than catchy hooks, moving lyrics, and melodies that give way to bone-shaking riffs. The band’s first introduction “Hypnotic” is presented with a dark and gloomy music video, which complements the dark theme of the lyrics. The band shares their thoughts:

“This song speaks about a man that loses everything he has, reminiscing about his past life and searching for truth in answers he never found. The song has everything from ballads to ripping guitar solos and complex riffing. It’s a melting pot of styles. We hope the fans perceive the sound as something fresh & unique. We continue to write music because it is our passion and we want to leave behind a legacy and repertoire of timeless music.”

Devoted to making the songs as groovy, heavy, melodic, and catchy as possible while at the same time adding elements of virtuosity, Dorea’s goal is to entice listeners to sing along to the hooks and at the same time, appreciate the musicianship and technical aspects of each member’s individual performance.

Their music is colorful, rich in its diversity of styles, with even some pop elements that can be heard from time to time. “Hypnotic” was chosen as the debut single as it is the most accessible in terms of its diversity of listening ability. It takes the audience on a journey by creating complex structures with fluid transitions, but unexpected heaviness hits you right in the face.

There is no fluff with Dorea, and they are devoid of any theatricals, they are simply three metal dudes writing and performing some of the best material they can. Edgy, and familiar, Dorea is recommended for fans of Avenged Sevenfold, Pantera, Symphony X, and Opeth.

Watch and listen to “Hypnotic” via its video premiere on Bravewords HERE.

Tentacles Industries – SUNBEAM OVERDRIVE Show Off Their Proggy Stylings In Tempestuous Video “Diama”

Sunbeam Overdrive is a concussive and dynamic progressive metal outfit from the south of France. Hard at work since day one, back in 2019, they quickly released their first three-track EP and performed their very first show at the famous German Euroblast Festival later that year. Their plans for large-scale touring were put on hold with the pandemic, but gave them time to focus their energies on their recently released full-length “Diama”. The depth being their mash-up of genres is on full display in their new music video for the title track, which the band comments on:

“This is the first real track on the record –powerful, aggressive, catchy but also airy and progressive. The lyrics were inspired by an extremely intense, burning, sudden, ephemeral, and ultimately volcanic adventure. Volcanism is the metaphor spun throughout the text because it evokes fusion, lava flows, eruption, and therefore, in the background, carnal, erotic union; heat that burns, but that fertilizes afterward.”

In the context of the whole album, which isn’t intentionally a concept album, but turns out to be an initiatory journey in the form of trials, doubts, determination, dizziness, and vertigo, elements that are transcribed into eclectic psychedelic riffs, thundering drums, and versatile, cinematic vocal styles.

Sunbeam Overdrive will surprise listeners with their unexpected crossover of several styles ranging from 90s grunge to progressive metal to modern djent. The album was produced, and mixed by Tom Abrigan; mastered by Brett Caldas-Lima with album artwork done by Christophe Dessaigne.

“Diama” was released on May 12th by Tentacles Industries / Season of Mist and is available at the following links:

Hard at work since day one, the band quickly released its first 3-track EP and performed their very first show at the famous German Euroblast Festival in October 2019. “Out Of Plato’s Cave – One of Six cool new prog tracks you need to hear this week (March 16, 2023)” – Prog Mag
“Bang this album into your vehicle’s sound system or blast it through your headphones, as you rock out to ‘Diama’ by Sunbeam Overdrive. It is THE soundtrack for your journey of solitary existence!” – Metal-Rules

“As a first work, Diama has been a great success and shows Sunbeam Overdrive as a playful and highly energetic newcomer who can definitely set accents in the scene. 9/10” – Sound Magnet Magazin

“This one is interesting, a bit prog, some groove metal, thrash stuff. clean and harsh vox. Cool!” – The Mosh Pit – WORT 89.9FM (Madison, WI)

“As far as the songs go, I love the whole album, but ‘Diama’ was amazing. ‘Slave To The Void’, ‘Crimson Stains’, ‘Deaf And Blind’, and ‘Out Of Plato’s Cave’ were all great. There’s a cover of ‘Hard Sun’ from Canadian singer/songwriter Gordon Peterson as well. They’re doing a version closer to the Pearl Jam version, but either way they do a great job with it. Overall, I have to give this one a 9 out of 10 “Flaming Fists” due to its creativity, musicianship, production and overall song-writing. It’s one of the most diverse and heavy albums I’ve heard lately, it deserves a much bigger audience.” – Rock You Radio

“Soon, on •• Tentacles Industries •• , the release of the new album by French quartet Sunbeam Overdrive. It’s called Diama and Crimson Stains is the new single to entice you for the rest of the album soon to come. Scream, djent, progressive, alternative metal and all sorts of core elements come at you from all sides. Circling around you like a riff tornado, this single is but one of the many tracks that hurl you through space and time, and the storm both inside and out of you. It fits perfectly with the concept that seems to be surrounding the album…” – Stoner Hive

“Standing out from the progressive metal pack with their interesting touches of 90’s alt-rock, Sunbeam Overdrive tickle the senses with their wandering intro of Ascending and the choppy, raw, and animated title track. Before they really lean into the 90’s alt-rock soundscape with Slave to the Void. Where sections of heavy groove come crashing down on the head. Followed then by the anthemic and manic energy of Crimson Stains, one of the album’s more intense moments as Sunbeam Overdrive go quite hard and heavy here…. Though if you’re after something with a more serrated edge, Out of Plato’s Cave will cause some damage. Sunbeam sounding both furiously heavy and grandiose in equal measures. Another highlight of the record simply because of the hectic pacing.” – Games, Brrraaains & Head-Banging Life

“Welcoming us in an oriental atmosphere (which can also evoke the last Hypno5e for once), Diama really starts with the title track, pulsed and muscular, it takes us without hesitation into the rich universe of the Marseilles managing to stall us unstoppable Devin Townsend- inspired vocal melodies .” – Eklektik-Rock

“A production to seek out by those who enjoy vibrant and melodic heavy metal explored with a little bit of a progressive metal attitude and spirit.” – Progressor

“Sunbeam Overdrive nous délivre un premier album vraiment convaincant. Du grant art !” – United Rock Nations

HESSDALEN LIGHT Welcome You To The Desert In Progressive Instrumental Video “Khajiit Has Wares, If You Have Coin”

L-R: Tanner Thornton (Guitar) | Zephaniah Stake (Drums) | Antonio Guzman (Bass) | Photo Credit: Brandon Cole

Hessdalen Light began in early 2015 as a solo bedroom project of Tanner Thornton while he was pursuing a mechanical engineering degree at the University of Florida. Enamored with the creative freedom that instrumental progressive rock music allowed, Thornton sought to turn his bedroom hobby into a full-fledged creative endeavor, and eventually release his music as an EP. He has since released two instrumental EPs and most recently, has a nerdy single “Khajiit Has Wares, If You Have Coin” ready to take you into Elsweyr. They comment:

“It was the 4th song written for our upcoming album but it really stuck with us so we decided to prioritize it as a standalone single. The song is structured in true prog fashion, where each part flows independently into the next and no parts repeat. This creates a fun, adventurous type of experience for the listener as they journey through it. We also tried out some new delays and other modulation effects on this song, and intend to showcase that newer style throughout the rest of the album.”

“Khajiit Has Wares, If You Have Coin” elicits feelings of being young again and going for an adventure. With its progressive structure, like many of their songs, none of the parts repeat and there are no true “choruses” or “verses”. This makes the song feel like more of a linear journey to the listener.

Hessdalen Light hints that this single is only the tip of the iceberg, and it will be part of their debut full-length album. In the beginning, they had more of a cleaner, traditional math rock type of sound, however, more recently, their sound has shifted towards the general prog rock realm.

Fun and adventurous, Hessdalen Light provides an excellent soundtrack for gaming, relaxing, and partying. They are recommended for Chon, The Fall of Troy, Polyphia and Dance Gavin Dance.

“It’s thoughtful, complex and emotional. The four-and-a-half minutes is a journey and a half with the guitar, bass and drums weaving in and out of each other. Every instrument sort of does it’s own thing, yet come together in a very seamless and beautiful way. Would it be dumb to compare this to some of the math rock-y songs found on the Death Note soundtrack? That’s just what kind of frame of reference this writer has for this subgenre.” – Central Dallas Track – May 18, 2022 – Song of The Day – Hessdalen Light — “Devil’s Cigar”

WHYTHRE Unleashes New Video For Thrashy Melo-Death Title Track “Impregnate My Hate”

New Album “Impregnate My Hate” Out May 2023

Members of Seattle-based Whythre are like every other world citizen, observers of our conditions, and some of those observations are expressed on their forthcoming album and its title track “Impregnate My Hate”, which the band is unveiling today as its third single before the full-length releases on May 26th.

Vocalist/guitarist Adam Chambers explains the track further:

Lyrically, this song is about modern times! Most folks are jumping down each other’s throats, willing vessels to the online projection of what modern entertainment and communication should be. My friends showed me an old sci-fi series called ‘V’ that deals with subtle mind control and mass hypnosis… while I watched the series after writing the lyrics, I was like ‘yeah! This is it! This is what I’ve been trying to say.”

Guitarist Shon Petrey adds.

“This is our most thrashy song…it’s not really the most melodic tune at all. When writing the song an old school vibe kinda just appeared here and we ran with it.”

Whythre has two other albums out, and fans who have heard the previous efforts will be able to pick up subtle changes such as Chambers taking over on vocals and writing most of the instruments and vocals lines simultaneously with Shon Petrey. They find that it really gives a more cohesive feel to the songs. Rather than tacking on vocals at the end, there’s now a fleshed-out conversation between them and each instrument as the song is written. It’s way more natural, and the next step in the Whythre writing dynamic is to explore this a bit more with drummer Steve and bassist Eric.

The single, along with the album, is recommended for fans of Hypocrisy, Children of Bodom, Havok, and The Black Dahlia Murder.

The full album “Impregnate My Hate” is being released on May 26th, 2023 via High Point Records and is available for pre-order at https://whythre.bandcamp.com.

Out Now! Canada’s AxMinister Presents A Heavy Metal History Lesson With “vir fortis”

History buffs assemble! Canada’s AxMinister is now streaming their fifth studio release “vir fortis”, a heavy metal-infused history lesson covering Napoleon and Vlad The Impaler. Historically accurate, this is a journey to a different time. There are two songs about Vlad and an impressive 17-minute saga about Napoleon. The first Vlad song was released last month as a lyric video single, as for the other two, AxMinister hints at what fans can expect:

““Vlad the Impaler…Son of the Dragon” studies the rich history associated with the infamous despot, as well as the myth pervading hence. “The Age of Napoleon…The Rise”, which was in the works for five years, sets the stage for the rise of Napoleon Bonaparte; this exciting study of the world that gave birth to the future Emperor, leaves us as he becomes a captain of artillery, in the French revolutionary army.”

“vir fortis” was produced, mixed, and mastered at Monolithic Productions by Tyler Williams and the EP cover artwork is an oil painting by drummer Bas von Bismark who also writes a majority of the lyrics. Bassist/vocalist Nicholas Klaus writes most of the music, with guitarist Steve Macleod contributing key song elements wherever needed. The songs are then arranged by the band collectively.

Heavy metal fans, especially those with an interest in history and battle, will not be disappointed with this album. Those who listen to Manowar, Rush, and Iron Maiden should take note.

“vir fortis” is out now as of May 11, 2023. It is recommended for fans of Megadeth, Manowar, and Judas Priest.

“From the drop of the first note, AxMinister pull their ax from stone, brandishing it mightily and powerfully as they dish out shredding sharpened riff after sharpened riff. Thrown in to the mix are face melting solos as well as ever present charging drumming as well as very solid very infectious vocals. Each of the five tracks present within this release are woven together well to provide you with a cohesive and well rounded sound that you will have a hard time getting out of your head. With The Crucible Of Sin, AxMinister gift you with five highly addictive and highly entertaining tracks that you keep coming back to.” – Cadaver Garden (2018)

“this EP (The Crucible of Sin) is just some good ol’ fashioned beer and pretzels Heavy Metal in the vein of bands like Manowar” – Metalcrypt (2018)

“The Crucible of Sin is a great thrash/traditional metal album, showing strong influences from Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Slayer and Metallica to full effect.” – Hellbound (2018)

“an exciting piece of Thrash Metal. It has a unique touch to it that allows the EP to be memorable, whilst the guitars make it very enjoyable.” – Noizze UK (2018)

“The stair-step cultural guitar to snare combinations for “The Trials of Hercules” brings out the Manowar fan in us all – while the speedy double kick locomotive aspects to closer “Sanctus Equitus Mortis” surely keep the ears pinned for a closer…It’s clear that you have a solid set of musicians and keen songwriting abilities – so if you want something a bit more dramatic and adventurous in your thrash airings, AxMinister could be that difference maker for you.” – Dead Rhetoric (2018)
