Canadian label Test Your Metal Records is proud to announce it will be releasing internationally known Brazilian singer and composer EDU FALASCHI’s (ALMAH, ex-ANGRA) solo debut album ‘Moonlight’ on May 20th for North America. The first solo album by the ex-ANGRA front man currently of ALMAH is a celebration of his 25 year career with sixteen records released worldwide, a Brazilian golden disc award, more than one million CDs sold plus countless world tours and recognition from fans around the globe, especially in Japan, Europe and South America.

The album features nine acoustic versions of the most significant songs of his career with Angra and Almah such as Nova Era, Rebirth, Heroes of Sand, Spread Your Fire, Bleeding Heart, Wishing Well and Breathe. All the material was rearranged for the voice accompanied by piano, guitar and orchestra in order to present an outstanding mixture of rock, jazz, classic and popular music highlighting harmony and melody. “Moonlight” was recorded in São Paulo and Jundiaí (Brazil) at WINK Studio and mixed and mastered by Caio Cesar. On the album Falaschi collaborates with several respected Brazilian musicians such as Tiago Mineiro (piano), maestro and violinist Adriano Machado (strings arrangements, creator and conductor of the Symphonic Orchestra Villa Lobos) along with special guests – João Frederico Sciotti known as “Derico” (flutes and saxophone) and Sandami (percussions).
The cover artwork was created by Brazilian designer Gustavo Sazes (Almah, Kamelot, Sepultura, Arch Enemy, Morbid Angel, Manowar, etc.).

Edu Falaschi started his professional career in 1990 working in such bands as Mitrium and Symbols. For more than ten years (2001 – 2012) he was the frontman and one of the main composers of ANGRA and recorded four albums with the iconic of Brazilian metal band. Many live and radio hits of the band, as Nova Era, Lease Of Life, Wishing Well, Spead Your Fire and others, are written by Edu. In 2006 Edu Falaschi established his own band, ALMAH and garnered international success. ALMAh has released four studio albums: “Almah” (2006), “Fragile Equality” (2008), “Motion” (2011) and “Unfold” (2013). The band is currently working on its 5th album. Edu Falaschi was voted by Japanese fans as one of the best rock singers in the world several times.       Blending a sound that is a complex mix of classical orchestrations, cosmic synths, and extreme metal to portray the epics of parallel worlds, Hickory, N.C. based RAPHEUMETS WELL (Ra-few-mets) bring forth a voyage enriched with lore, fabricated from scratch to show the depth in which represents them as artists.
Formed in 2008, 2011 and 2012 saw their first two demos followed by their first self release full length ‘Dimensions’ unleashed in 2014 that progressively told a larger story portrayed in a complex saga of Atai (ancient architects) who aid in the propagation of sentient life throughout the multi-verse.
From the birth of organic matter to great wars that tear the fabric of space/time, the story of RAPHEUMETS WELL‘s music serves to immerse you into a world of oddities, which is now continued in the band’s sophomore release ‘The Exile’ due out on March 18th, 2016 via Test Your Metal Records.

As such Resurrecting the Blood Gate was our first choice to help sum up the experience to come from our album in its entirety. Inspired by the fictitious universe of Sovael, RAPHEUMETS WELL is the name coined to the conscious deity who oversees the anastomosis of the multiverse, the master of portals and inter-dimensional travel. Being personified as a trickster, Rapheumet often creates chaos for unsuspecting voyagers. The word “Well” refers to the gravity wells, which like black holes, are catalyst of change and gateways between the cosmic plains.
“We created this name in hopes of personifying a living gateway between dimensions. We love science fiction and a few of us have extended education and degrees in science.” says drummer Joshua Ward.

Guitarist Bowen Matheson comments on the album:

“Jeff Bryan and I recorded the album at my home here in the Okanagan Valley, and we did the absolute majority of the writing in the pre-production and production stages. So much of the material had existed from several years ago, but was completely overhauled and reworked several times to end up in these tracks. We weren’t afraid to try things out and work over several revisions, or to take our hands off of a few of the songs that we felt very comfortable with after only the first revision. Jeff wrote the lyrics for the tracks in less than two months, and a lot of them were written and finalized in the vocal tracking stage, in front of the microphone.
We weren’t afraid to enable our music with production techniques. Many reviews have figured that we used samples or synthesizers in the songs, however the reality is that all of these droning noises, stutters, and otherwise ‘industrial’ sounds are actually either electric guitar or bass guitar, and abusing these instruments in front of their amplifiers with only two guitar effect pedals. The rest of these noises you hear are the interaction with the instrument and their environment.
We then delivered all of the tracks to Stuart McKillop of Rain City Recorders for mixing, and he blew us away. It didn’t take him long at all to catch onto what we were going for, and his consistency from one track to the next brought the tracks to the highest musical apex they could reach. Brad Boatright of Audiosiege handled the mastering, and he made certain that the product was of the outstanding final production quality for us. Brad has really yielded an outstanding quality for so many other abrasive sub-genres of metal and hardcore and he delivered that exact pinnacle of quality for us on this record as well.” – Bowen Matheson

GOMORRAH, originally formed in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia as a black metal outfit in 2006, has now grown into an assaulting death metal band – ready to unleash their boundary-pushing extreme sound on their second full-length album. The forthcoming album ‘The Haruspex’ is to be released on January 15, 2016 on Canadian label Test Your Metal Records.

The bands music conveys a claustrophobic animosity, through punishing guitar work, high-speed drumming, and guttural vocals. The lyrics provide an accessible gateway into the stories told in each song.
Gomorrah has shared the stage with Suffocation, Cryptopsy, Archspire, Ancients, Striker, Origin, Beyond Creation, King Parrot, Ninjaspy, KenMode, Bison BC, The Agonist, Fuck The Facts, The Order of Chaos, Slumlord, and Fall City Fall.

The Haruspex is one of those albums you listen to and it feels like you are being shredded from the inside out, just look at the cover it speaks for itself….the entire album is brutal as all hell… I don’t know what’s in the water of Kelowna, but it seemed to produce a monster and its name is Gomorrah!

“This track started out as a back burner track, and it basically re-wrote itself in the studio. Jeff had no set vocal patterns written for it, but when he did the black metal influenced high vocals at the beginning I knew the exact direction we needed to take with it. I wrote the entire solo based entirely off of a one take improvised solo that I did for the track in pre-production. It all came together so easily and it became one of the strongest tracks on the record.”
