LIKE ANIMALS Announce Eastern Canadian Tour Dates
New EP ‘Feral’ Out Now!

EP Stream – Feral – Bandcamp | Soundcloud
Music Video – The Lion’s Share – Watch here.
Orillia, ON’s deviant melodic math metallers LIKE ANIMALS are hitting the road this summer for dates across Eastern Canada in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Quebec and Ontario. The tour will be in support of their new EP ‘Feral’ released at the beginning of January 2016 to follow their previous animal-themed EPs ‘Sweet Whispers, Plagued Ears’, ‘The Undertoad’ and ‘The Wild’.
“Normally we head out on our own but this time we’re heading out with our crazy friends in ( U ) the band from Guelph. We both share a distinct spastic-punk blend of sound which will be sure to get the pit cookin! See you there and bring your energy!!” comments voclaist / guitarist Myke Caouette

Aug 13 – Quebec City, QC – Le Sous-Sol Du Cercle
Like Animals are breaking free of the constricting chains of modern music and are busy creating their own uninhibited style of spastic-math-metal graced with emotionally-charged vocals. Like a wild animal each member maintains a sense of chaos through their arpeggio guitar and bass sections, unorthodox drums peppered with dynamic changes, and finally tempered by the wavering vocals soaring just slightly above the instrumentals both in tone and feeling. The beasts within the band each perform vocal duties a sound akin to a coyote-esque choir featuring Jamie Haffenden on guitar and lead vocals, Will Tennant on drums, Myke Caouette on bass.
Their name is synonymous with their song-writing and attitude, where they are part of a pack, but still remain hungry and solitary, like a stray animal. Their 400-show track record over the years reveals their dedication to their craft having shared the stage with such bands as Fuck The Facts, Dog Fashion Disco, Adrenechrome, Downtown Brown, Scale The Summit, Polkadot Cadaver, Teethmarks and many more.
With four animal-themed EPs in tow (‘Sweet Whispers, Plagued Ears, The Undertoad, The Wild) and their new release called ‘Feral’ unleashed on January 22nd, 2016, the band is constantly working to create a continuously more mature and higher caliber sound. The group hunts and writes as a unit by drafting and evolving each song with each giving their own input.
Lyrics contend with themes such as: self-doubt, lack of self-worth, depression, anxiety, and the like. Like Animals continue to push the boundaries of the several genres which they base their experimental music on while committing to the best music they can produce.

Metal Injection Premiere ALL ELSE FAILS’ Political Video ‘AntiMartyr’

Fucktropolis – EP Stream – Listen here.
1. AntiMartyr
2. Better Left Undead – Watch here.
3. La Demencia Violenta
4. Obedience At The Altar of Sacrifice
5. A Most Unwanted Reprieve – Watch here.
All Else Fails, the loud, heavy, lyrically conscious Canadian metal band who’s 2013 EP ‘Fucktropolis’ garnered them award wins at the 2014 Western Canadian Music Awards and Edmonton Music Awards are proud to close the chapter on the release with their final music video. Teaming up with MetalInjection.net, the band premiere their latest political message ‘AntiMartyr’.
Vocalist / guitarist Barrett Klesko comments:
“It’s been a long road since we released Fucktropolis almost 4 years ago, and since then we have been in almost constant member changeover hell. Some of it was good, like bringing back original drummer Ryan Biggs, but some, like losing our long time bassist Seedy Mitchell was much harder. We have a new bass player, the new album written and in pre production and it is sounding fresh and awesome, but it was important to us to release Antimartyr as a full single first. With that, it wouldn’t have felt right with Mitch’s voice coming out of the new guy’s mouth in the video, so we talked him into coming back for one last project, and I’m really happy with the turnout, it seems like a great way to send off an album that treated us so well, and move on to the next grand adventure. Hopefully one that won’t take us another 4 years to follow up.”
To watch ‘AntiMartyr’, please visit the following link: http://www.metalinjection.net/video/all-else-fails-antimartyr-music-video-premiere
About: The fourth release since 2007, 2013’s award winning ‘Fucktropolis’ was the follow up to the band’s 2012 album ‘The Oracle, What Was, Is And Could Have Been’ that received world wide praise from industry publications around the world along with their music video ‘This Burden of Life‘ added to rotation on Canada’s largest music channel Much Music, expanding their Canadian fan base dramatically.
Making their mark around the world for their aggressively dark brand of metal that is breaking the traditional ideals of their genre and drawing comparisons to bands like As I Lay Dying, All That Remains, Killswitch Engage, Lamb of God. All Else Fails infuses their music with a variety of elements that includes experimental, classical, synth lines, and spoken word sampling to accent a unique blend of heavy as hell screams and shiver inducing clean vocals.
Their high energy live show sets them apart from their peers and has garnered them appearances on numerous high level festivals over the years, including Van’s Warped tour, Boonstock and opening support slots for artists like Korn, Killswitch Engage, Protest the Hero, Cancer Bats, Dayglo Abortions, 3 Inches of Blood, Fear Factory, Threat Signal, Decapitated, Suffocation, and Arise & Ruin.

Building on their professional experience with Execration and personal experiences through Akhenaten, the Houseman brothers sought a deeper expression of their experiential-driven musical style that audiences can connect with through a union of opposites.
“We’ve always had a vision for the type of black metal project Helleborus would be. We wanted to explore and deliver a darker and yet more romantic side of black metal. There is an unknown side of metal that is masculine and powerful, yet sensual and respectful; controlled chaos.” comments vocalist Wyatt Houseman.

About:
Canadian band CELESTIAL RUIN is styled after European Symphonic Rock/Metal but executed with a decidedly North American flavor. Combining a heavenly destruction of heavy riffs with beautiful melodies, CELESTIAL RUIN create catchy, singable melodies, and rich symphonic textures. The compositions are “epic” by all accounts. Lyrical themes are mainly drawn from fantasy and horror, sometimes implying deeper meanings, sometimes just celebrating the subject matter.
Based out of Vancouver, BC, CELESTIAL RUIN started taking the scene by storm with their debut album “The Awakening”. Receiving favorable reviews in publications such as Rockstar Weekly Magazine professing a 4/5 star rating declaring, “If The Awakening is only the beginning of things to come, you’d best get on board now while the getting’s good.”
After successful 2012 and 2013 summer tours, CELESTIAL RUIN was offered many opportunities that included opening slots with Stone Temple Pilots, Leaves Eyes, Moonspell and being a featured performer for Vancouver Alternative Fashion Week for two consecutive years.
CELESTIAL RUIN is always looking for the next unique avenue to expose their distinctive sound. “We play in the grey area of rock music, we are too heavy for rock, but not heavy enough for metal” comments vocalist Larissa Dawn.
This is a praise that has been mirrored in many live reviews including Beat Route Magazine stating, “Celestial Ruin appears to be in a sub-genre scene of one…their differences are working to their advantage”.
From September- December 2015 they completed a cross Canada tour (Out of Exile) and are now preparing for the release of their 2016 EP ‘Pandora’ produced by Joost Van Den Broek (Epica, Revamp, Xandria).
“As a significant jump forward from our debut album, from song writing to production, this EP was a journey that allowed to us grow, and we hope that fans will grow with us.” says Larissa Dawn.
A collaborative writing effort by CELESTIAL RUIN, the May 20th release of ‘Pandora’ will showcase the best of their best shared with fans new and old alike.

New Noise Mag Video Premiere BLACK ABSINTHE ‘NOW’; New Album Out ‘Early Signs of Denial’
Upcoming Show Dates:
July 9 – Sudbury, ON – The Asylum w/ Sludgehammer, Laugh At The Fakes – info

Toronto, ON heavy metal trio BLACK ABSINTHE have surfaced from the basement to unleash their debut album ‘Early Signs of Denial’ produced by Sum 41’s Dave Baksh (Cross Dog, The Mahones) plus mixed and mastered by Frank Gryner (Rob Zombie- Hillbilly Deluxe). Released recently this past May, the album is the band’s first professional recording to follow their three self recorded EPsLive At Coalition (2014), Noise Complaint (2014) and Augusta (2012).
Teaming up with New Noise Magazine, the band is proud to premiere their video ‘NOW‘ at the following link: http://newnoisemagazine.com/video-premiere-black-absinthe-now/
The band comments on the video:
“The main idea behind ‘NOW’ is about taking advantage of a moment you’ve anticipated for so long, of choosing action over caution. Within the track there’s a shift between the softer more contemplative chorus and the upfront in your face verses. The structure of the song aims to build on that theme of anticipation and impending action. This build ultimately boils over into a killer solo section that sounds like you’re behind the wheel during a high speed car chase. For the video we enlisted the help of Frank Gryner (who had done the mixing and mastering of the album) who came through with a great product. There’s an almost found footage vibe to a lot of the band shots we were really digging. The close-ups of Jack’s fretboard have this really interesting vibe to them. Rather than the smooth movement you get from a modern camera it looks like certain frames have been removed making it look like you’re flipping through a piece of animation. Having those shots of the road and oncoming traffic at night with all the lights speeding towards you captures the theme of the song. Here’s a light, a moment, speeding by you and it’s gone so soon. Contrast that with the shots of the band with that single light on the floor playing the song. ‘Now’ is a moment in time for Black Absinthe, another step on our journey as musicians. The next hurdle is always around the corner so meet it face on!”
The album stream for ‘Early Signs of Denial’ can be heard at the following links:

along with album order at https://blackabsinthe.bandcamp.com/
BLACK ABSINTHE’s powerful heavy riffs and bass lines are reminiscent of classic thrash and new wave British heavy metal with a range of progressive to classic rock influence ready to be shared with fans new and old alike.
The title “Early Signs of Denial” is a conceptual connection to the themes of fear, corruption, and overcoming disparity, which is explored in the album’s songs. The record has emphasis of crushing modern tone, polished instrumental sections, soaring vocals and a blending of contemporary and classic metal. With each track, this unique record represents different aspects of BLACK ABSINTHE’s diversity in song writing. The band does not tread lightly over their new wave of British heavy metal song style or their technical and progressive metal influences.

About:
Formed in 2011 by vocalist and guitarist Jack Cerre, bassist Kyle Scarlett and drummer Austin Henderson, the trio continue to rip through the underground Toronto metal scene without pause.
Compounding heavy riffs and bass lines reminiscent of classic thrash and new wave British heavy metal with a range of progressive to classic rock influence, Black Absinthe presents a solid example of a Canadian metal band. They’re road hungry, influenced plus supported by other driven Canadian musicians and most of all, ready to innovate and grow the traditions of a genre they venerate and respect. As leaders in the scene, Black Absinthe were headlining Toronto semi-finalists in the Wacken Metal Battle Canada 2015.
With a new year ahead, Black Absinthe pushes on with their desire to provide their fans in Canada and online with a cleaner and heavier presentation of their sound. The years incubating in Toronto’s metal underground have served the band well. From their 2012 debut EP Augusta to their 2014 EP Noise Complaint, both releases have established the band’s sound as well as their stage presence, leading to their driven heavy metal machine. Now in 2016, Black Absinthe are ready to release their debut studio album Early Signs Of Denial (May 13, 2016). The album was produced by Dave Baksh (Cross Dog, The Mahones) out of the Gentleman’s Den studio in Pickering, ON who’s experience proved to be the final touch; aiding in refining drum dynamics, smoothing the transitions and layering harmonic guitar lines. Black Absinthe’s Early Signs Of Denial sound is a leading example of the contemporary Canadian metal scene serving to showcase how the band sounds in a crisp, powerful, and ultimately more professional recording environment.
The title “Early Signs of Denial” is a conceptual connection to the themes of fear, corruption, and overcoming disparity, which is explored in the songs. The record has emphasis of crushing modern tone, polished instrumental sections, soaring vocals and a blending of contemporary and classic metal. The band does not tread lightly over their new wave of British heavy metal song style or their technical and progressive metal influences.
Through the bands expanding network cultivated through Coalition Music’s “Artist Entrepreneur Program”, they chose Frank Gryner (Rob Zombie- Hillbilly Deluxe) to mix and master the album in the Winter of 2015. His strong ability to work with a diversity of sounds was the appeal to the band. His mixing took the album into the sonic spheres of a classic 80’s sound providing, grandeur, psychedelia, and an arena rock feel that could properly represent the textures put down in tracking. There was an immediate trust formed with the stylistic choices Gryner made throughout mixing.

VOW OF THORNS have been conceptualizing albums and pushing the boundary between aggressive and emotional. What once served as an anagram for Kevin Hawthorne’s solo work is now a joint effort with Dustin Richards, where the duo has quickly become one of the most intimidating musical ventures to date. The duo have been constructing songs unanimously and without interruption in a seamless writing process to craft work fueled by their musical and environmental influences. Constantly shifting between disparaging black metal vocals and triumphant guitar hooks dripping with doom-encrusted bass riffs and theatrical drums. The band pairs the forces of black metal and doom, blending the two styles with ease while maintaining a certain sense of tension and uncertainty in the air.
