DIVINITY Announce New Album “The Immortalist” Due Out May 26th

Calgary, AB progressive death metal band DIVINITY have their next offering for the metal gods in their new album “The Immortalist”, a culmination of 5 years of hard work and dedication to their craft. The album features 12 tracks that include their two previous EP releases “The Immortalist, Pt. 1 – Awestruck” and “The Immortalist, Pt. 2 –Momentum” with their 3rd EP “The Immortalist Pt. 3 – Conqueror” now finished completing the trilogy series for one huge full length album. All the tracks on the album are re-mixed and re-mastered by the talented Chris Donaldson (Cryptopsy, The Grid Productions) to make the songs more cohesive and work as a full-length album experience. This album also features Bjorn ‘Speed’ Strid of Soilwork on vocals for the song ‘D.M.T.’. DIVINITY is also offering fans an exclusive digipak CD available on their website for those who want to support the band directly.

About:

Divinity, based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, started in 1997 and began playing live shows in 1999. In 2001, the band released its first EP album called “Intensify” which received a lot of local (Canadian) praise after sending in a couple songs to BWBK’s ‘Knuckletrack’ CD sampler. A music video was released for the song “World of Pain” in 2003 and the band played local shows building its show experience.

Fast forward to 2007, Divinity independently releases their first full-length album called “Allegory” and is picked up by Nuclear Blast Records just 3 months after the independent release. Obviously, this was a major turning point for the band!

In 2008, Divinity took on its first major tour by joining the Summer Slaughter Canada tour. This gave them the opportunity to connect to high-calibre booking agents and other acts such as Dying Fetus, Whitechapel, and Necrophagist.

In 2009, Divinity spent it’s time creating their 2nd full-length album, called “The Singularity” which was released under Candlelight Records with a very positive response from numerous reviewers and listeners.

Since the release of The Singularity, Divinity has toured Canada numerous times over and has received massive support and praise from around the world.

The band is currently releasing a trilogy EP concept album now turned into a full-length LP, called ‘The Immortalist’ available May 26th, 2017 at all digital music stores and as a special limited run CD Digipak.

Influenced by bands such as Symphony X, Dream Theater, Haken, Plini, Rush along with classical, jazz and progressive rock, Montreal-based CYDEMIND will be releasing their first full length album ‘Erosion’ on May 26th to follow their to 2014 debut EP ‘Through Mist and Ages’. The album offers a refreshing take on progressive music that is sure to attract interest from a wide audience, especially with classically trained violinist Olivier Allard, who leads the listener throughout the different moods of their compositions.

The quintet is planning their local CD launch in Montreal for June 17th at the Cabaret Lion D’Or. The special guest progressive rockers No Ticket opening the night. Tickets are available on www.lepointdevente.com.

‘Erosion’ was recorded in Montreal at The Grid with producer Christian Donaldson (Cryptopsy, The Agonist, Beyond Creation, Neuraxis) along with additional recording of grand piano done at Studio 270. The release consists of six compositions including a 27 minute masterpiece of the album’s title track, making it the band‘s most ambitious project to date. The album artwork was done by drummer and band co-founder Alexandre Dagenais along with lyrical poems included with the release written by pianist Camille Delage. The poems describe each composition as the album gravitates around the theme of nature and its persistence through time.

‘Erosion’ will be available on iTunes, Bandcamp, Spotify and all other major online retailers as of May 26, 2017.

The brainchild of Danny Alessandro (guitars/vocals) and John Massey (guitars/vocals), Toronto death metal duo DEITY has been a long time coming. Inspired by Suffocation, Emperor, Death, Slayer and Immortal and describing their music as ‘relentless, powerful, intriguing, honest and revitalizing’, DEITY has produced a truly special debut self-titled album due out June 2, 2017.

“We formed about 15 years ago…Myself and John have always been the core of Deity. We had both been working on other projects till we felt the need to finally go in and finish this album about 3 years ago. We’ve known each other for about 20 years. We got tired of working on metal that wasn’t true to us. This is an album we’ve always wanted to hear!” comments Danny Alessandro.

The self-titled debut features eight brutal assaults that include session drums done by Flo Mounier (Cryptopsy) plus session bass by Flo Ravet (ex-Nephelium) along with the album being mixed and mastered by Chris Donaldson (Cryptopsy, The Agonist) and produced by Danny Alessandro and Joey Virgilio.

Montreal, QC’s THE RISING FEW are upping their game with a bigger sound and larger than life songs with the launch of their taunting new EP ‘Adult Entertainment’, a high-energy, anthemic songbook sure to resonate with all rock enthusiasts.Cairo born singer-songwriter, Karim Terouz, fronts the now expanded THE RISING FEW, a culturally diverse group of Montreal musicians from scattered points of the world (Haiti, France, Syria, Canada, Brazil, Armenia and Egypt) that seem to converge in their shared love for melodically constructed, Springsteen inflicted rock and roll storytelling.

With their forthcoming EP, ‘Adult Entertainment’, the follow up to their 2014 debut album “Sinners On St-Laurent’”, THE RISING FEW have transitioned from their beginnings as a folky local singer songwriter/backing band to stadium-worthy rock for the world’s global mainstream stage.

Delusional behavior is the main theme driving this new EP’s lyrical and musical content. Songs like “Big Boy Games” illustrate the act of treason while ‘’The Sinking of The I’m Alone’’ depicts the historical sinking of the Canadian schooner the ‘’I’m Alone’’ during the prohibition era. Other songs like the hypnotic “Try Try Again” flirts with the delusion of failure while the subtle ‘’Lights and Shadows’’ tackles melancholy in love-loss, as you cannot fight without loving. The generous EP also contains 2 additional bonus tracks.

Situated in the Okanagan Valley with the beautiful backdrop of the Rocky Mountains, ARMSTRONG METALFEST, now in its ninth year, is British Columbia’s largest gathering of metalheads from across Western Canada and beyond. The fest has put together a free digital sampler to give fans a taste of this year’s 2017 line up being held on July 14th and 15th at the Hassen Arena in Armstrong, BC. This year’s headliners include Boston’s tech death / thrash titans REVOCATION, Vancouver’s reggae-metal fusion NINJASPY, Canadian 80’s thrash legends AGGRESSION and Vancouver Whammy Award Best Local Metal Artist winner GOLERS among many more from across the country. Taking influence from Europe’s music festival circuit, Armstrong Metal Fest is a heavy metal celebration that encourages metal heads from across Canada and the globe to mosh and camp with the backdrop of great outdoors of British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley. What started as a backyard party in 2009 with nothing but eleven local metal bands such as Terrifier, Xul and Odinfist to name a few, has grown into a a huge success admired by the Western Canadian Metal scene. 2016 was the eighth year of the festival and was its largest year for music and attendance. Hickory, N.C. sci-fi metal band RAPHEUMETS WELL (Ra-few-mets) will be releasing their next full length ‘Enders Door’ via Test Your Metal Records on May 26th. Once again they will being bring forth a voyage enriched with lore and a sound that is a complex mix of classical orchestrations, cosmic synths, and extreme metal to portray the epics of parallel worlds.

The synopsis of this album is in the fifth era of the Avomenian Empire, amidst the planetary ruins of Vaath, a rogue traveler would discover an artifact that would forever change his place in the cosmos.

Upon arriving to retrieve the artifact, it became apparent that Eryos’s brother Nathyiem would never make it to their arranged meeting point. In departing from the planet Vaath, Eryos received a distress signal from his brother’s ship, coming from an uncharted planet. Upon arriving, he found a odd world inhabited by a mysterious species called the Dreth led by lecherous matriarch named Eishar. It is here that he would uncover a faced-door, an inter-dimensional gateway to the Ender.

Teaming up with NoCleanSinging.com, RAPHEUMETS WELL premiere their new 360 degree video for their second single “Ghost Walkers Exodus”.

Inspired by the fictitious universe of Sovael, RAPHEUMETS WELL is the name coined to the conscious deity who oversees the anastomosis of the multiverse, the master of portals and inter-dimensional travel. Being personified as a trickster, Rapheumet often creates chaos for unsuspecting voyagers. The word “Well” refers to the gravity wells, which like black holes, are catalyst of change and gateways between the cosmic plains.

Formed in 2008, 2011 and 2012 saw their first two demos followed by their first self release full length ‘Dimensions’ unleashed in 2014 that progressively told a larger story portrayed in a complex saga of Atai (ancient architects) who aid in the propagation of sentient life throughout the multi-verse. In 2016, they released their highly praised sophomore album ‘The Exile’ via Test Your Metal Records.

Now in 2017, from the birth of organic matter to great wars that tear the fabric of space/time, the story of RAPHEUMETS WELL‘s music serves to immerse you into a world of oddities once again with the band’s third release ‘Enders Door’ due out on May 26th via Test Your Metal Records.
