Canada’s SPECIAL OPS Put A New Spin On Nu-Metal With Cinematographic Zombie Video For “Set Me Free”

Montreal, Canada’s Special Ops combine Nu Metal, Hip-Hop, and Mediterranean elements resulting in brand new textures of heavy sounds that blanket a wide musical spectrum of colors pleasing to the auditory and visual senses. Original and instantly recognizable, the groovy guitars take center stage with elaborate solos, framed with catchy bass lines and vocals that are reminiscent of the 90s. Their forthcoming album “Berean” to be released next year is a 10-track record that is now being previewed with a music video for one of the tracks/chapters. The first chapter is track six: “Set Me Free”, which is viewable on YouTube, The band shares their excitement:

“We present this with great anticipation as we always try to evolve with every new album. With this new album, we are creating a visual experience with the music. “Set Me Free” is part 6 of 10 of this evolutionary concept and an experience fans will be awed by. Be prepared to be blown away!”

Starting in 2022, Special Ops wanted to do something new and revolutionary that would set them apart in the scene. Unleashing their new EP “Below the Summit” on September 29th via Exitus Stratagem Records, Israeli thrashers SINNERY are kicking off their six-date tour of the UK supporting Sworn Amongst from September 18th – 23rd, which will then be followed by a performance at Metal Gates Festival in Romania alongside Katatonia, Rotting Christ, Shores of Null and more!

UK Tour Dates – Sworn Amongst and Sinnery

September 19 – The Black Heart – Camden, UK
September 20 – Percy Picklebackers – Nottingham, UK
September 21 – Fuel Rock Club – Cardiff, UK
September 22 – The Gryphon – Bristol, UK
September 23 – The Cavern – Exeter, UK
September 28 – Quantic Club – Bucharest, RO – Metal Gates Festival w/ Katatonia, Rotting Christ

Set to be released at the end of September, Sinnery’s “Below the Summit” will be the third installment in their thrash metal legacy. Armed with blistering guitar solos, thunderous drumming, and roaring vocals, this trailblazing thrash metal outfit from Israel is set to obliterate eardrums with the latest single “An Ode“ off this upcoming release.

“We discovered new elements and patterns in our composition while writing An Ode that we hadn’t done on our last record Black Bile thus continuing our broadening metal journey.” adds the band.

Musically this song is much more melodic than other Sinnery material and stands out with its thrashy punches and very cool chorus, while still delivering the heavy tones expected from them. They further describe the track explaining that lyrically it’s based on a real-life experience about not being worthy in a romantic relationship because of choosing one’s own best interests.

According to Sinnery, writing “Below the Summit” was a very productive and consistent process and they really ‘bled these songs out’. From catchy choruses to heavier parts than they have ever done before, Sinnery feels this is their most complete work yet. It is recommended for fans of Trivium, The Haunted, and Sylosis.

They are super excited to release “An Ode“and expose a different side of Sinnery to their fans.

“If you didn’t get around to giving this quartet from Tel Aviv a whirl, here’s another chance. The band, like many others, were graced with a period of pandemic-enforced downtime which allowed for an introspective and pointed look at themselves and their art. The result is the forthcoming EP, Below the Summit from which we’re premiering the band’s latest single and video, “An Ode (Knife of Erato),” a song that definitely upholds, if not elevates, their previous work’s vicious precision.” – Decibel Magazine

“I’ve said this many times in the past, but one of the many things I love about this business is following the progress of bands as they come of age, mature and get better at their craft. What’s not to love about paying early witness to a bunch of folks gelling and heading on an upward trajectory as they make the move towards proverbial world domination? Israeli thrashers Sinnery are one such band. Gathering their Exodus, Testament, Gojira, The Haunted and post-St. Anger Metallica influences, the quartet from Herzliya, Tel Aviv will soon be releasing their second full length, Black Bile via Exitus Stratagem Records. This new tasty little rager pops the clutch and pumps the gas on modern thrash with a grizzled edge that improves upon the roots planted with their 2016 debut A Feast of Fools and their 2013 demo, Showing Teeth.” – Decibel Magazine

“Sinnery [Israel] Proves Thrash is NOT Dead in Groove-Oozing Cesspit of ‘Black Bile’” – Metal Has No Borders

““Death thrash” is the simplified genre description for what Sinnery do, but it’s the strong melodies and the variations among and within the songs that make the album such an adventure to experience from start to finish. Compared to the debut all those years ago, which was entirely written by vocalist/guitarist Alon Karnieli back when he was about 16-17 years of age, these tracks are more elaborate, more sophisticated, more reflective of different moods, while at the same time being more brutally extreme.” – No Clean Singing

“You just gotta love a band that knows exactly what the hell they wanna be. Sinnery bow to no one, instead turning heel to scissor kick you in the temple with battering ram riffs, suplexing drums, and neck-twisting vocals. You know the opening of Back to the Future where Marty McFly plays a single guitar chord on Doc Brown’s hyper amplifier and goes flying across the room from the resulting sound? “The Burning” provides the same effect regardless of the size of your chosen sound output device – you will be ragdolled and tossed around like a frisbee in a college quad by the quartet’s supreme rippage.” – Everything Is Noise

“I am old enough to have seen the likes of Metallica, Anthrax and others perform live at small venues in London. I’m also a huge fan of the new wave of thrash like Dust Bolt, Lost Society, etc. Sinnery is welcome inclusion with their aggression, energy, and obvious hunger. They might verge on Death Metal a tad with the vocals but that’s ok. With Matt Hyde (Machine Head, Trivium, Slipknot) having mixed and mastered this beast you know the sounds are gonna be right in your face. An excellent sophomore effort – please just keep thrashing!” – My Global Mind

“Sinnery straddle those lines between conventional thrash and modern/groove metal with enough solid musicianship and heaviness to align well with a multitude of touring possibilities.” – Dead Rhetoric

“For those that just want to bang heads and go nuts, there are songs like “The Burning,” “Who Will Be Eaten First,” and “Anti Tribe.” “Hanged From The Sun” and “Holes” flesh out their thrash by either toning down the speed or putting an emphasis on melody.” – Heavy Music Headquarters

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – September 15, 2023

Moribund Records – Canadian Thrashers TRISKELYON’s New Video Question’s “Is Hope Still Alive?”

New Album “Artificial Insanity” ft. guests From Infrared, TYMO, Category VI, Naitaka and More!

Unleashing their second studio album “Artificial Insanity” (mixed and mastered by Michael Small (Winterhearth, Triskelyon, Artach)) on Moribund Records this past September 8th, Canadian new power thrash Triskelyon is unveiling their newest music video for the track “Is Hope Still Alive”.

The song features vocals from Pete Healey and is about the continual destruction of the environment by humans. Guitarist Geoff Waye explains further:

“To address the question posed by the song’s title – my answer would be: No, it isn’t, to be honest. I lack faith in the capacity of humans, society, and corporations to make the necessary changes to put a stop to the continuous pollution of our planet. This topic intrigues me partly because it’s an area of personal interest, but also because I’ve drawn inspiration from the classic thrash bands of the 1980s. Many of these bands, such as Testament, Kreator, Nuclear Assault, and Megadeth, had songs that focused on pollution and environmental issues, and these tracks left a lasting impact on me.”

Watch and listen to “Is Still Hope Alive?” at https://youtu.be/ebuovsgw61Q

Led by guitarist and band founder Geoff Waye, Triskelyon’s second full-length “Artificial Insanity” follows their radio chart-topping debut album “Downfall” (2022) and features guests from the crème de le crème of the Canadian metal scene to create a varied album that delivers both pure thrash metal classics, hints of blackened melodic thrash, and enough power metal to bring one back to the 1980s. The full-length showcases the vocal talents of Amanda Jackman (Category VI), Armin Kamal (Infrared), Cara McCutchen (Mortillery, Naitaka), Dale Drew (Sea Dogs), Des Mason, Ellim, Pete Healey, Raúl Álvarez (Dark Order-Aus.) and Tim Tymo (Tymo). Drum duties on the record are shared between Raul Marques (Burning Torment) and Alexander Raykov (Antreib), while Dwayne Pike, Keith Jackman (Category VI), and Darrin Pope were conscripted on bass.

Geoff Waye comments:

“While I personally composed all the music and penned the lyrics, the realization for “ARTIFICIAL INSANITY” became a reality thanks to the collaboration with a myriad of talented guests featured on the album. I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to each and every one of them for their incredible contributions, and I hope for the possibility of working together again in the future.”

Triskelyon‘s “Artificial Insanity” is recommended for fans of Megadeth, Forbidden, Agent Steel, Exodus, Slayer, Testament, and Overkill.

Due out on September 8, 2023, the album order is available from Moribund Records at the following link: http://www.moribundcult.com/product/DEAD309.html

“It’s refreshing, for once, to discover a thrash band that aren’t geared towards utter devastation but, rather, crafting a record that an audience can simply put on and vibe to. With more than forty-five minutes to work with, the band still stuck to their guns and applied songwriting that saw every minute feel earned and needed for what their performance entailed.” – The Razor’s Edge

“Waye has shown he can write in any metal style and the guys he got together to perform are world class. The production is pretty big too so, if you like Megadeth, Agent Steel, Exodus, Overkill, etc. then there will be something on here that you like. Me? I liked it all! Hopefully, Canadian metal will be taken a bit more seriously with this release.” – My Global Mind

“classical Thrash Metal tracks and many 80s vibes.” – Metal-Temple

About The Single:

This single is the first step into the true sounds of Trash n Roll, it’s a song that is full of teeth-gritting, fist-pounding primal aggression. It’s a statement without politics, it’s a feeling without emotions, it’s a way to move without moving. It’s the first taste of an amazing upcoming album.

War Horse was originally just an idea we had for a video we will never be able to afford hahaha. Our unnamed anti-hero is on a space bike cruising through the universe. It kind of embodies the idea of trash n roll in the sense that most folks don’t see vagabonds as equal people but we keep rolling, there’s always time for trash n roll! It’s our way of saying “fuck em” to everyone that doesn’t respect you or your path. If it’s you against the world, here’s the warhorse you can ride into battle!

=======================================================================

STORY ANGLES / FUN FACTS:

1. Benny has been practicing Muay Thai since the pandemic and trained in Thailand. Nate has watched 600 episodes of One Piece in one year. Jayme is an avid collector of comics, old Warhammer 40K, and vintage tales from the crypt memorabilia.

2. On a few different tours, I (Jayme) rolled under a moving semi-truck, Benny free falled out of a 40 ft tree hitting every branch on the way down, Nate broke his sticks and almost took out someone at front stage, Benny broke each of his knees on stage and finished the show. Once when we were on our way to play a show in Calgary, we got pulled over and when we got out, a bunch of whiskey bottles fell out and we convinced him that they were for candle holders.

Another time we were driving through the Rockies and we got caught in a forest fire, landslide, tropical storm(with cars and trees getting blown over), and finally almost totalled by a moose, all on the way home.

3. The band name came from a Tombstone of a Canadian Shaman, it’s said “*redacted* he was a Rebel, he was a priest, he was the storm, this will not stop him”

4. The band started out with stage attire that was Manowar meet iron fist era Motörhead, which we dropped early on because only one person a show would remember the outfit making it look like we were taking turns dressing up like a caveman.

5. One member is a successful jeweler

Rebel Priest Release Trash N’ Roll Single “War Horse” In Advance Of Japan Tour

L-R – Jayme Black – Vocals/Bass, Nate Pole – Drums/Vocals, Benny Kemp – Guitars/Vocals

Vancouver’s pulse-pounding Rebel Priest wants to tap into that adrenaline that is at the end of a shitty day or a shitty situation with their new single “War Horse” coming off a yet-to-be-titled album set for release next year. It promises to be the wrecking ball to get you out of that funk and get those motors revving! Along with this deadly new tune, they are announcing an eight-stop tour in Japan this October. The band shares their enthusiasm for the truest vision of their signature Trash n’ Roll:

“It’s gonna be the best song to light some new fires in “on the fencers” and the new generation of rock n rollers. It’s a sing-along titan of a song full of teeth-gritting, fist-pounding primal aggression. It’s a statement without politics, it’s a feeling without emotions, it’s a way to move without moving. It’s the first taste of an amazing upcoming album.”

According to Rebel Priest, “War Horse” was originally just an idea they had for a video they will never be able to afford to feature our unnamed anti-hero on a space bike cruising through the universe. The track embodies the idea of trash n’ roll in the sense that most folks don’t see vagabonds as equal people but they keep rolling, always making time for trash n’ roll! It’s the band’s way of saying “f*ck ’em” to everyone that doesn’t respect you or your path. If it’s you against the world, here’s the warhorse you can ride into battle!

With two EPs and three raging albums already under their belts, this next one is just the tip of another high-octane iceberg! They have a load of tracks ready for the studio and this is just the first single – fans of Motörhead, ZZ Top, and Rose Tattoo are gonna want to keep their pants on and their eyes peeled for what Rebel Priest is bringing down the pipe.

Prepare to be immersed in a world of sonic extremity with Edmonton, Canada’s death metal titans, and mega nerds, Display Of Decay, and their fourth album “Vitriol” hitting the shelves later this year. They have released a single “The Butcher” already and now the second “Harbinger” will continue to engulf listeners in thunderous drums, ferocious guitars, guttural vocals, and gory and nerdy lyrics. The band shares what’s in store:

“Harbinger is definitely one of the most technically challenging songs, if not the MOST technically challenging on the record. A frenzy from start to finish, this track features a wide range of dynamics stretching from sweep picking, and octaves, to full-on chaos! Lyrically, it’s entirely based on Mass Effect and the Reaper invasion, because as previously mentioned, nerds.”

Since forming in 2007, right out of high school, Display of Decay has stayed true to their groovy old-school death metal sound as a base and increasing intensity, technicality, and quality as they’ve gone on. In “Vitriol” they show off faster riffs, more experimentation, and varied lyrical themes. Every song on the album is so unique that it feels like a new experience every single track. The band owes this to never going into the writing process under the expectation of writing something a certain way or having a prescribed formula. The eight songs flow cohesively from track to track while each has its own special added elements.

The lyrical content on “Vitriol” covers a variety of topics ranging from pop culture references like Diablo & Mass Effect to darker undertones of the mainstream media’s obsession with school shootings and other acts of senseless violence that are continuously looped for ratings evidently posing a risk of reproduction. It is recommended for fans of Dying Fetus, Immolation, and Pantera.

Watch and listen to the guitar playthrough for “Harbinger” via its premiere on Bravewords HERE.

“Vitriol” is due out on October 20, 2023 via Gore House Productions and is available for pre-order at https://orcd.co/vitriol

Rockshots Records – Norwegian Power Metal EUNOMIA Enter “Another Dimension”

New Album “The Chronicles of Eunomia Part 2” Out Now!

Album Guests From Twilight Force, Alkemyst, Falconer, ShadowStrike, Lords of The Trident, Crystal Eyes, Dionysus, Veonity

Norwegian adventure power metallers EUNOMIA will be releasing their sophomore full-length “The Chronicles of Eunomia Part II” on Rockshots Records this coming September. The band has already previewed two singles off the album “The Story Goes On” and “My Heart” earlier this summer. To kick off their album’s release on September 15th, they are sharing a new music video for the track “Another Dimension”. It’s a fun and top-notch energy boost song on the album. It is one of the band’s favourites as it has a lot of high-power metal screams, a keyboard solo, plus a catchy chorus. The song tells the confrontation between the allies and a dark wizard called Dorgormir to claim the staff to open portals to the realm of the dead. The band explains further:

“With this song, we wanted to go back to the glory days of bands such as Gamma Ray and Freedom Call, while still putting in some more aggressive “modern” approach as well. We wanted it to be a huge singalong song, but with an epic bridge section that really makes the vocalists shine with some insanely high pitch vocals.”

Watch and listen to “Another Dimension” at https://youtu.be/Tjf793Zik7k

Recommended for fans of Rhapsody Of Fire, Twilight Force, Dragonforce, Freedom Call, and Hammerfall, “The Chronicles of Eunomia Part II” is now available from Rockshots Records as of September 15, 2023, at the following link – https://bit.ly/Eunomia2

Presenting epic, bombastic, fast, powerful fantasy through their compositions, this second record from Eunomia is a group effort, as the first full-length was completely written by band founder, vocalist, and keyboardist Peter Danielsen. Joined by his brother Marius Danielsen (Legend of Valley Doom), bassist Alexander Ormseth, guitarist Magnar Winther Skorgenes, and drummer Alessandro Kelvin (Perc3ption), the tracks on this new offering are more powerful and stronger than before with much more variety than their first effort.

“The Chronicles of Eunomia Part II” also features guests Alessandro Conti (Twilight Force), Arnaud Ménard (Alkemyst), Jimmy Hedlund (Falconer), Matt Krais (ShadowStrike), Ty Christian (Lords of The Trident), Mikael Dahl (Crystal Eyes), Olaf Hayer (Luca Turilli’s band, Dionysus), and Anders Sköld (Veonity). Overall, this second full-length has everything from power and symphonic metal elements to contagious choruses, fast double bass drums, and even slow epic songs that fit the storytelling perfectly.

“Everyone in the band has helped shape the new album. We worked hard to get this album the way it sounds. Re-written parts on many songs to make them as perfect as we could. I think the fans will hear that the band has evolved and become better, tighter, and more creative than on the first album. Better melodies, better songwriting, and even more epic than ever. We have leveled up significantly on this album. I believe this album is 10x better than the first one and I think the choruses will be stuck in the minds of fans and I hope they press the replay button many times after listening to it for the first time.” adds Peter Danielsen.

Marius Danielsen also adds:

“As the mixing and mastering engineer for this album, I must say it has been quite a journey. My brother and I have worked closely together on this album for about two years. Learning new mixing tricks and carefully carving out space for every single instrument in a dense mix consisting of 250 tracks or so per song has been a cool process to be part of. I think we managed to create an epic-sounding Power Metal album full of glorious melodies and memorable hooks.”

Not slowing down, the band is already in the works for writing “The Chronicles of Eunomia Part 3” and looks forward to performing live.

“I can’t wait to bring back Eunomia as a live band again now that most of us live in the same city again. We will try to tell the story of Eunomia with great energy, perfect performances, amazing guest artists, and awesome setlists.”

Israel’s Neolia released their debut self-titled album this past May. The album is an experimental, progressive slab of metal that fans have been flocking to local shows for. From the record’s haunting melodies to its complex rhythms, every aspect of this full-length has been crafted with care and precision.

Today, the band shares their latest vocal playthrough from Ben Reiss for the track “Carried Away” via its premiere on V13 HERE.

“Carried Away is dark yet restless. It has a dynamic wide range from the most tender guitars to the sharpest and most dissonant tones. The vocals in the song incorporate a variety of vocal techniques that keep the listener on his toes. ‘Carried away’ takes you on the journey inside the mind of a child that is hallucinating scary images.” adds Mash.

Musically, Neolia‘s self-titled album is a reflection of years of soaking up music of different genres from rock to pop to world music and whatnot. It’s a fusion of bits upon bits of pieces absorbed and processed and then spat out from a personal perspective. In its musical aspect, it’s rock and metal-based, but with a twist of African, Latin, Jazz, and ambient that reaches the spectrum of high and low, tender, extreme, and crazy.

Recommended for fans of Protest The Hero, Coheed and Cambria, The Human Abstract, and Tool, Neolia‘s self-titled album was released on May 5th, 2023, and is available on https://neolia.bandcamp.com/album/neolia, Spotify – https://spoti.fi/3nsmoaf

“as the chaotic screams of Dance of Violence and the ever-contorting Rise and Fall attest, the rawness of their emotions often turns that into a positive. The slow-burning Anchors builds on moody tension, jarring textures melt into a soundscape that, across seven minutes, throws in heavy bursts, tender lulls and spiky rhythms. It’s a wildly diverse ride… Their ambition or vision can’t be faulted.” – Prog Mag

“This band is going to be huge. You know how Tool and the Mars Volta developed into their own sound and how they have a legion of devoted fans? That’s what Israel’s Neolia is about to do with this self titled debut album.” – Transcending the Mundane

“Karma”, (the video) accompanied by a beautiful shot somewhere in the deserts of Israel, has that fantastic balance of aggression and melody that I love about alternative metal. At its more frenetic moments, like the excellent transitions from the heavier moments near the end of the track and the more melodic chorus, it reminds me of The Mars Volta, and that is one big compliment. Elsewhere, Yerushalmi’s guest vocals are expertly utilized to balance the rawer, more harried vocals of the band’s own singer, Ben Reiss. Together, they present the major melodic force on the track, while the instruments deliver well written, complex, and undeniable groove. This mix is exactly what alternative metal is so good for, hitting on both the emotional and the visceral level of enjoyment. The track ends up being both interesting to dissect and take apart but also something you can move and sing to. If the band’s self-titled is as good as this, and the other tracks released so far seem to indicate that that is indeed the case, then we’re in for a treat. Make sure you head on over to the band’s Bandcamp to pre-order it; I think it’s going to be a lot of fun!” – Heavy Blog Is Heavy

“It’s as if Ben’s screams had come straight out of hell tearing the skies in all directions” – Metalist Magazine

Rockshots Records is proud to announce their signing of progressive rockers RAISED BY HAZE for the release of their debut album “Touch The Sky” for release this coming November.

Founded by the visionary guitarist Gabriele Robotti and featuring the soulful vocals of Valentina Tesio, RAISED BY HAZE’s first full-length promises to be a musical journey like no other, embodying the essence of the band.

Gabriele Robotti, the creative force behind Raised By Haze, shares his vision, stating:

“Raised By Haze is a musical voyage that knows no bounds. ‘Touch The Sky’ is an exploration of emotions and musical styles, and we invite you to join us on this exhilarating journey.”

Valentina Tesio, the band’s soulful vocalist, adds:

“I’m honored to be part of this project that pushes the boundaries of music. Gabriele’s vision and our collective passion result in something truly exceptional.”

“Touch The Sky” offers a mesmerizing blend of soul music, heavy metal, R&B, and progressive rock, promising to captivate listeners with its genre-defying sound. The album was conceived as a reflection of all of Robotti’s musical influences, aiming to weave a common thread through the diverse musical worlds that have inspired him.

“The foundational matrix for this album is arguably progressive rock and metal, with Dream Theater being the band that ignited my passion for playing the guitar during my childhood. However, the primary objective I set for myself with this album was to amalgamate all my influences, spanning from bands like Pink Floyd and Linkin Park to Pantera and Alter Bridge, and from classic 70s rock to modern progressive metal (including Opeth, Periphery, and Between The Buried And Me). Along the way, I ventured into various other musical territories.” adds Robotti.

While “Touch The Sky” is not a concept album, the lyrics, mostly penned by Valentina, draw heavily from personal experiences and the band’s unique perspectives on life and various situations. It can be said that the music serves as an artistic representation of their outlook on life, while the lyrics mirror Valentina’s experiences. The songs you hear are the culmination of this creative journey.

To introduce their their sound to the world, Raised By Haze unveils the first single “Prediction”.

“This single represents the essence of our musical exploration, seamlessly combining the diverse influences of soul, R&B, and progressive rock. I think the song best represents the more pop-oriented side of our music. We believe it will resonate deeply with our audience. Valentina’s voice stands out throughout the whole piece singing with goosebumps intensity and once again highlighting her rapping approach in some parts. The ending with the entry of bass, drums, and distorted guitars is the culmination of the song’s climax.” says Robotti.

0 Hitting The Road! Montreal Duo DOOM ‘AN BLUE Are Digging “Black Hole Blues” Along The Way In New Music Video

NEWS RELEASE

Montreal, QC – September 14, 2023

Hitting The Road! Montreal Duo DOOM ‘AN BLUE’s New Music Video Has Them Digging “Black Hole Blues” Along The Way

Tour Dates in Ottawa, Hamilton, Montreal

The heavy hooves of Montreal duo Doom ‘An Blue featuring drummer Jimmy Antle (Mürtenscythe, Guttrot, Leather Up ) and guitarist Lee Whiskey (Leather Up Your Ass, ex-Mutank) return with a soul-digging dive into the unknown with “Black Hole Blues”.

Smashing classic rock riffage and sweet stoner speed tides since first forming in 2016, over the years Doom ‘An Blue have released various videos and singles of just them as a duo along with collaborations with musicians from the Montreal music scene.

Each of their releases is a step above the last and they take the opportunity to learn, to experience from each predecessor, and use this to allow them to be better artists. Delivering beyond their best is key, to pushing their limits of creation during the current time and ahead to the next.

As they unleash a single at a time, they keep you on their toes for the next drop. Thus leaving you knowing that the next step is always just around that shadowy corner in the maze of sound that is Doom ‘An Blue.

Hitting the road this September for show dates in Ottawa, and Hamilton, along with a local hometown show in Montreal (dates listed below), Doom ‘An Blue wants fans to bear witness to their latest instrumental music video “Black Hole Blues” based on true events. The track is the next release as part of their single-series storyline. The duo explains in further detail:

“We are both fans of space documentaries, aliens, otherworldly ideas, and the possibilities of tasty beer-ish beverages. One night talking space at jam, Jimmy said he was into this cool title he thought up, which was ‘Black Hole Blues’ so of course it was just perfect for a groovy new instrumental we were cooking up just a few full moons beforehand! It came together fast, and quickly became a live staple and often a show closer for many years! The video itself is based on true occurrences that prove to be documented from the summer of 2018 until an unknown point of reference… These findings are known as the ‘Black Hole Blues’. We can’t for all the doom hounds to devour! Dig in, and feast the hell out of it!” adds the band.

The single was produced by Doom ‘An Blue and Alain Londero, who also mixed and mastered the track along with the music video
filmed by Cintia Ventania, Stephen Howlett, and DRONE NL.

Watch and listen to “Black Hole Blues” via its premiere on DoomedAndStoned HERE.

About: Having shared stages with different projects in Montreal, Canada’s thriving music scene since 2010, and becoming fast friends upon performing together in cover band Leather Up Yöur Ass since 2013, talks between Jimmy and Lee about creating something unique finally began taking shape in May of 2016 while driving to a performance. Soon after a road trip to see Clutch in Schaghticoke, NY, without a note prepared to rehearse, the two walked into Montreal jam space Cite 2000. A few hours later, they were left with countless ideas and even more questions.
