After years of dedication to their craft, USA’s metalcore outfit Jawfane has officially released their debut EP “Me and All My Demons” via Exitus Stratagem Records. The six-track collection represents the culmination of the band’s journey from DIY beginnings to a refined musical force that defies easy categorization. The band shares their excitement for the release:

“We are absolutely beyond words for how excited we are to bring our first collection of songs into the world with and through Exitus Stratagem Records. It has been an absolute privilege working with Gordon, Jason, and the team to bring “Me And All My Demons” to life. This record is a personal journey for Jawfane. Sonically, we brought the hammer, lyrically we brought a bigger hammer, and we intend to beat out a place in the world for us and our brand of Metal-core.”

“Me and All My Demons” is a deeply personal record, drawing from the lived experiences of each band member. They anticipate that it will be received with an open mind to metal and what it can be when you are angry, but also determined to find the beautiful things in this life.

The EP showcases Jawfane‘s unique collaborative process, where traditional roles are often subverted: guitarists writing bass parts, bassists writing guitar parts, instrumental sections evolving into vocal melodies. This fluid approach to composition results in music that feels both technically impressive and emotionally authentic.

Though the band acknowledges their sound has elements of post-hardcore, metal-core, and even mathcore, they prefer to let the music speak for itself, promising that they will continue to evolve and change as they grow and no matter what genre they end up in, they’d like to think it will always sound like them.

“Me and All My Demons” aims to create a genuine connection with listeners. It is recommended for fans of King 810, Wage War, and The Ghost Inside.

“What a privilege to listen to an EP that is flawless and filled with brilliance. Jawfane is the real deal. See them live and experience the captivating performance of the songs.” – Project Metal Music

“If you like what you hear from rising Metalcore act Jawfane with their new single “Time Hunts Us All” then we can warn you that their debut EP “Me and All My Demons” is pencilled in for a 26th June via Exitus Stratagem Records grand unveiling. A five track affair that fulfils a mission statement to create music that offers “a boisterous, chaotic and clarifying genuine catharsis“, the band claim it was built on the foundation of crafting through an organic and democratic process.” – Metal Noise

“Raw, cathartic expressions” – Flight of Pegasus

“It is that raw and cathartic expression that really does make this EP stand out as Jawfane pour so much passion into delivering a heavy sound that combines the best of hardcore’s stomp and metalcore’s anthemic ways. Yet, if that wasn’t enough to make this a notable EP, Jawfane add in some cinematic vibes. The end result is an EP genuinely worth shouting about…. Jawfane have arrived and with this EP, left one hell of an impression.” – Games, Brrrains & A Head-Banging Life

Rising metal-core act Jawfane has released “Time Hunts Us All”, the second single from their highly anticipated debut EP “Me and All My Demons,” arriving June 26th via Exitus Stratagem Records. The track comes accompanied by a striking visual component that enhances the band’s powerful message. They comment on the single:

“We pushed ourselves musically. ‘Time Hunts Us All” is the fastest Jawfane song by a mile, contains the most vocals, and is in a key we don’t use often. Lyrically, we played off this idea that time was a villain, something you could physically fight, and it was hunting everyone, kinda like the grim reaper. We used the super dramatic differences between the feels in the song as the sonic reference for time, and remember “If time hunts us all, it’s not over yet.”

“Time Hunts Us All” holds a special place in the band’s history, having originally been part of vocalist Austin’s audition material. While Austin didn’t write the lyrics for this particular track, the band notes that ‘he loves his part,’ showcasing the collaborative spirit that defines Jawfane’s creative process.

The video for “Time Hunts Us All” visually represents the band’s mission to create ‘a boisterous, chaotic, clarifying genuine catharsis’, a raw element that connects directly with listeners who feel ‘invalidated, unseen, unheard, unacknowledged’.

This release continues to build momentum toward the June 26th release of “Me and All My Demons”, which was crafted through an organic and democratic process. Reflecting on their artistic direction, Jawfane shares that they wanted to focus on what churns below. To relate to that struggle of being unable to say what was really on your mind when you absolutely had to. Jawfane is recommended for fans of Cane Hill, King 810, and Wage War.

USA’s post-hardcore outfit Jawfane is proud to announce their debut EP “Me and All My Demons” set for release on June 26th through Exitus Stratagem Records. Alongside this announcement, the band has released their first single, “Cataclysm (Nightmare),” which is the first look at the aggressive, emotional, and immersive music Jawfane prides themselves on. Cory comments on the single:

“I am of the 00’ hardcore scene with a deep love for Norma Jean, the opening riff is an call back to that era, Chase did a great job writing us out of it into a more modern metal riff that’s the hard part of those moments, coming out of the familiar into something not so normal for me at least. We tried to be as aggressive as we could with the breakdown and chorus, but still keep it a song with a structure, which is not the instinct when playing giant breakdowns. I never want those parts to end.”

Born from a desire to create without judgment or barriers, Jawfane has spent the last four years building their sound from the ground up. What began as a group of friends secretly writing together has evolved into an immersive musical force that defies easy categorization. Though rooted in metal-core and hardcore sensibilities, the band refuses to be pigeonhole into a single genre.

“Me and All My Demons” represents a collection of real-life experiences transformed into raw, cathartic expressions. All Jawfane songs are based in reality for at least one of the members, someone they know personally, or something they needed to say that they couldn’t say any other way”. This authenticity runs through lead single “Cataclysm (Nightmare),” which showcases the band’s ability to channel personal struggles into powerful sonic landscapes.

The EP was initially self-produced before catching the attention of Exitus Stratagem Records, who worked with the band to rework and re-record the entire collection. Jawfane will be supporting the release with shows throughout the summer. They are recommended for fans of Misery Signals, Cane Hill, and King 810.

“I hope it is received with an open mind to metal and what it can be when you are angry, but also determined to find the beautiful things in this life. But also, I hope they find hope in the record somewhere. In the form of “He sounds like how I feel” or “yeah, bro been there too” there is hope in being relatable and honest with that relatability, and I think the band really brings those themes of “Despair, Angry and Betrayal” into a place where people can talk about it. Which, for us, is therapeutic, and I hope that translates for the listener as much as it can” – Cory

“Hopefully, the things we say and the movements we go through are something that our audience can not just relate to, but can feel in their bones. Words they couldn’t say, heard. Feelings they couldn’t define, now clear. That fire inside, recognized and set free.” – Jesse

About The Album Artwork

“I took the pictures for the album and single artwork in Seattle, Washington. I wanted something extremely somber with an extreme darkness around it, but still have the ability to be beautiful in its own way.” – Austin

The album as a whole (LYRICALLY & MUSICALLY):

“The majority of the material on the album is new, written when we acquired our vocalist, Austin. Heading into unknown territory, we found ourselves free to grow in whatever direction we wished. It was freeing. We experimented with a few new directions before agreeing on a group of songs that we felt could stand together as its own thing. The writing itself came organically and quickly. We were thrilled to be working together, and the fact that it came about so naturally always shocks me. Everyone contributed lyrically, as it should be. Anything anyone had to offer was taken seriously because if it worked, it worked. Lyrically, we wanted to focus on what churns below. I want to relate to that struggle of being unable to say what was really on your mind when you absolutely had to. Conflicting thoughts, spiraling, splitting into different uncertainties, polluting what could be the right thoughts for the moment. That there’s still room in the world for you, that there are things out there in the world for you. That the things you’ve prayed for, intentionally or in vain, are within your grasp despite whatever you’ve gone through. Concerning the direction of the music, we came together as a team and talked about the music we love, and what we’d love to make. Not just for ourselves, but that could take an audience captive as we swung you around the room by your legs. It’s a lot of fun coordinating vocals among the band with the variety of ideas that get thrown at the wall. We hope to push ourselves to find something deeper, more refined, as we have fun along the way on this path we chose,” – Jesse

Track by Track (LYRICALLY & MUSICALLY):

1. Damaged Goods
“ I wrote about being abused by people who were supposed to unconditionally love you. In this case, I wrote about my family. Lyrically, this song is for the children that made it out and made it better, or for the ones that will make it out and will make it better, or even if it hurts. The key is that I just wanted to have early 2010s metal-core vibes with a knock-you-in-the-mouth aggression. Well also talking about resident evil shit such as how our government is turning us into monsters and using us as weapons so we steal from the facility, changing us to save everyone”.- Austin

2. Cataclysm (Nightmares)
“We wanted to break things. The opening riff is a kinda call back style old school Norma Jean thing, and I really dig that groove, but once Chase got hold of it, we went straight in to old-school triplet city, the song for me is a sprint through chaos, playing this song is the most fun one from the record easy peasy. Lyrically, I didn’t put in a whole lot, but Chase really landed with a lot of how we all feel about people as a whole: unseen, unheard, and betrayed. The directness of the lyrics is intentional, I don’t think you can confuse this for a happy song.” -Cory

3. Me and all My Demons
“This one was a joy to arrange. We only had the pieces and had to stitch them together into a haunting, lumbering beast. Figuring out how the beast would walk and bite was a lot of fun for everyone. I personally feel that this song is a strong example of where we’re headed as a band. Atmospheric, rich in story and interpretation.

There’s something inside all of us. A calling. A sign in the right direction, no matter how perilous the path. Something that pushes you to persevere through adversity, be it through the lands you travel, the things you experience, the people you meet. Something primordial, capable of crushing every obstacle in your way, the instinct to fight death and decay by any means necessary.” – Jesse

4. Friends And Enemies

“The last song was completed for the EP. Chase and I wrote the chorus for the song, and this one is the “strange one” sonically, story-wise, and lyrically on the record. Instrumentally, it is the oldest Jawfane song, one of the first brought to the table back in 2021 when we started the band. The original recording we sent over to EXSR is the version of “Carry On” from 2024 with fellow artists, Panda Forces, Hollow Wake, and Brylew. We wanted to take the song and give it a “redo” for our debut EP, for mostly personal reasons. We wanted to bring something to contrast the dark, despair, and anger the rest of the record brings with something a little more positive. Austin wrote the first verse, in a repetitive fashion, over and over again, a lib fashion until it sounded natural. I don’t think anyone wrote it down until after we were happy with the take itself” – Cory

5. Time Hunts Us All:
Time Hunts Us All” is my personal favorite song from the record. It was second to be written and really push out technical ability, both instrumentally and vocally. While the guitar part over the faster sections isn’t all that difficult on its own, getting that riff to sit inside the chaos of the drums and bass, and vocals is really challenging live; it’s a no-mistakes, not even a little moment. It’s the first time I ever did vocals for a Jawfane song. As the band has evolved, one thing that has been a constant is that we are all songwriters and vocalists in our own right. I just generally don’t have the voice for the style we do. Gordon (Producer) called me in to do some vocals for this song. I knew I was going to do the singing sections at the front so Chase could get the backing part in without having to switch styles. What I didn’t expect was to sing the tenor part at the big ending. It was super cool and fun to get to leave my mark on one of our songs in that way. Proud of the guys as a whole for how well vocals tracking went for the EP.” -Cory

==================================================

FUN FACTS:
1. For Jesse and Aj, it’s their first band.

2. We drove a 30-hour round trip without sleep to play in Chicago.

3. Aj joined the band, then learned the entire set for his first show ever on 15 days’ notice.

4. We have genre-flipped our band.

5. Favorite Anime by Member:
Austin: Tokyo Ghoul
Cory: Attack On Titan
Chase: Intial D.
Aj: Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure
Jesse: Gurren Lagan

6. Jesse didn’t start playing keyboard until after Jawfane formed

7. All the instruments for the record were tracked by the band

8. We hold the record longest featured artist on Z-97.5 (Clarksville Tn Radio) (8 Weeks)

9. Our band agreement hasn’t changed since first signed in July 2021.

10,  “We are not always together, but we are always in this together” is the band’s motto

STORY TIME:

1. “On the drive home from Chicago we were in two difference cars, Chase and Cory in one car, took turns driving every two hours so we didn’t have to stop to get a hotel, I’m not going to say it was the safest thing we ever tried, but pushing our limits to get to where people want the music is something we are proud of, Cory has the photo of Chase when they arrived home, ragged, dirty, and just gross saved to his favorites in my photo to this day.”

2. “When Austin auditioned, no one knew what to expect. He had no resume, we (the band) had met him once at a previous show that he took photos for, and that much we know he could do, but vocals, no idea what to expect.

He shows up in One Piece gear head to toe, and wrecks shop on an unused track, after hearing the rough version of “Time Hunts Us All,” he said the now famous line in our camp…

“Put me in, coach.”

And that’s when we all kinda knew he was the guy we needed.”
