“This EP serves as a heartfelt homage to our journey, a way to honor the memories we’ve created and express our immense gratitude to the fans who have stood by us through the years. By revisiting and reimagining these older tracks, we aim to rekindle the connection with our long-time listeners while simultaneously inviting new fans to discover and embrace our unique sound. “The Warrior Order” aims to bridge the gap between old-school metal and modern sounds, blending the raw, nostalgic vibes of classic metal with the refined production and innovation of contemporary music. By doing so, the album seeks to evoke powerful memories and untold stories from the past while offering a renewed, enriched auditory experience that resonates with both long-time metal enthusiasts and newer audiences. “A fine collection from the masters of ancient evil” – Metal Noise (The Warrior Order – 2025)

“There’s evil intent at the start of next song “Eternal Drak” something I’d expect as it’s named after the band. Again, the trio are delving into themes of dark forces and mythical battles, but they have upped the intensity on this one as it sounds more powerful. It’s hard not to imagine a town or castle besieged by dragon’s fire and the hellish earth that awaits any survivors.” – The Razor’s Edge (The Warrior Order – 2025)

“another  great  sounding  recording  from  Eternal  Drak  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  blackened  thrash  metal,  you  should  check  out  this  ep.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  “Oda  A  La  Luna”  and  “La  Nueva  Orden”.  8  out  of  10.” – Bringer of Death Zine (The Warrior Order – 2025)

“„Eternal Drak“ is a small grab bag. Here they use different tempos that fit into the fast, rhythmic sound. With an extremely thrashy and vocally aggressive sound, you always have to be prepared for changing rhythms and moods. An extremely brutal melody blows with us „La nueva Order“ counter. At the end of the „EP“ they take a Metallica song from the album „Master of Puppets“ before. „Leper Messiah“ rewound in a radical version. Just as the album title says: they implement the warrior code musically.” – Hellfire Magazin (The Warrior Order – 2025)

“The Warrior Order is a real surprise and shows a completely new face of ETERNAL DRAK,” – PowerMetal.de (The Warrior Order – 2025)

““Oda A La Luna” sees a powerful drum at the beginning, before the rhythm settles in this dark ode. The lyrical theme is one of rebellion and ritual, and you can feel the intensity with each slap on the snare. The middle section has a sudden tempo change, with a riff that will get your head moving and the intensity follows through.” – The Razor’s Edge (The Warrior Order – 2025)

“This is a pretty good EP that’s got plenty of thrashy riffs, grooves and black metal harmonies and tremolos, give this a spin. ” – Drako’s Metal Reviews (The Warrior Order – 2025)

“”Drak Metal” is an excellent album, a deserving addition to any metalhead’s collection. With a few specific focuses here and there, the combination of Black and Thrash and Groove metals is done with near perfect balance, so there should be a wide appeal. ” – Metal Temple (2024 – Imprisoned Souls)

“the album comes with a sharp and grim expression set to an appropriately dark mood and mode, and in terms of mood and atmosphere this album did remind me ever so slightly of Celtic Frost, even if the music itself is rather different. That being said, I would imagine that quite a few thrash metal fans that also enjoy a little bit extreme metal as well as a band like aforementioned Celtic Frost would feel right at home with the landscapes explored on this production.” – The Viking in the Wilderness (2024 – Imprisoned Souls)

“‘Drak Metal’ is actually very enjoyable… it has a supreme raw quality to it which gives the album a sense honest integrity that just means that the listener cannot get enough of it, that passion is infectious and is more than enough to say, more of the same guys… more of the same.” – Metal Digest (2021 – Drak Metal)

About The Album Artwork:

The album represents a complete revitalization of the band’s debut, breathing new life into its legacy with four tracks meticulously re-recorded from scratch. This bold step not only enhances the sonic quality but also redefines the essence of the original work for contemporary audiences. The iconic cover art, an integral part of the album’s identity, has also undergone a transformation. The 2002 design has been entirely digitalized, showcasing a masterful depiction of Lucifer commanding his troops into battle. This striking visual not only complements the album’s themes of struggle and supernatural horror but also serves as a symbol of the band’s unyielding evolution and creative ambition.

About the album as a whole (LYRICALLY & MUSICALLY):

This album bridges two distinct eras in the journey of Eternal Drak: the energetic creativity of the 1990s and the refined artistry of the present day. It represents a homage to the band’s origins, where young minds passionately crafted what is now revered as old-school metal. These early works have been revisited and revitalized, bringing their raw spirit into the modern soundscape with enhanced production quality that respects the authenticity of the era while ensuring it resonates with contemporary audiences. Through meticulously re-recording the four original tracks, Eternal Drak breathes new life into their debut, preserving the integrity of black thrash metal while making it accessible to a new generation of listeners. To complement this effort, the album includes a cover of one of the most iconic and influential bands in metal history, serving as both a tribute and a testament to the enduring inspiration these legends have provided. This project encapsulates the band’s unwavering dedication to their craft, blending nostalgia with innovation to create a sound that is timeless yet refreshingly current.

Track By Track:

1. Oda A La Luna
“Oda a la Luna” is a dark ode. The song narrates the exile of celestial beings who, through magic and sacrifice, were banished to a neutral dimension. It delves into themes of paganism, immortality, and the essence of evil inherited by humanity. The lyrics weave a tale of rebellion, ritual, and the eternal connection to the moon as a symbol of power and transcendence. It’s a powerful anthem that combines the relentless energy of black metal with haunting imagery of supernatural struggle and legacy.

2. Contra Viento
“Contra Viento” is a fierce and evocative. The song explores themes of rebellion against religious oppression, the fall of institutions, and the dark forces that reign over humanity. Through chilling imagery of witches, druids, and cursed thrones, the lyrics paint a world consumed by shadows and cruelty. The track’s relentless energy and visceral narrative reflect a mythical struggle against conformity, highlighting the destructive yet liberating power of chaos and darkness. This song includes a lot of orchestral instrumentation and clean vocals.

3. Eternal Drak
“Eternal Drak” is a powerful thrash black metal song. delves into themes of eternal life, dark forces, and mythical battles. The lyrics narrate a cosmic struggle where beings like witches and spirits unite under the power of “ReficuL,” a malevolent entity seeking dominion. The song conjures vivid imagery of blood-soaked rituals, fallen orders, and the eternal flame of life purified from evil. With relentless energy and haunting narratives, “Eternal Drak” captures a tale of chaos and dominance, echoing the raw and unyielding essence of the genre itself.

4. La Nueva Orden
“La Nueva Orden” explores themes of transformation, power, and the rejection of traditional deities. The lyrics depict a narrative where warriors rise against supernatural forces, embracing a new era of enlightenment and dominance. Through vivid imagery, the song portrays a world where individuals transcend ancestral beliefs, mastering both the elements and their own mental strength to create a harmonious existence devoid of divine intervention. The battle against oppressive forces, symbolized by “HavoheJ,” showcases an unrelenting quest for freedom and control over destiny. With its fusion of mysticism and rebellion, the song captures the essence of bridging science and magic, pushing boundaries, and challenging the constraints imposed by ancient traditions. “La Nueva Orden” stands as a compelling declaration of evolution and resistance. Musically, the song moves in a fairly flamenco harmony and in the middle, an interlude of acoustic guitars gives it depth.

5. Leper Messiah
This is a powerful reimagining of Metallica’s legendary song, crafted to honor the iconic energy of the original while seamlessly incorporating the intense and unique style of Eternal Drak. With vocals adapted to resonate with the band’s distinctive sound, this cover transforms the classic track into an electrifying experience that fans of Metallica and Eternal Drak alike will find unforgettable. A bold experiment worth every listen.

Eternal Drak is a band based in Quebec, Canada, but originally formed in Latin America during the 1990s. Thrash Black Metal has always defined their core sound, though it has evolved over time with various influences enriching their musical style. Thematically, their lyrics delve into darkness, both human and inhuman, expressed diversely across their seven official releases. They are currently signed with the Canadian label FirstWave.

In 1997, the Martínez brothers—Drakar and Warhammer—laid the foundation for Eternal Drak at the ages of 17 and 15, respectively. The following year, rhythm guitarist Oscar Layton (Reijav) joined the band.

In the early 2000s, Eternal Drak achieved recognition by winning the City TV network award for Best Metal Video with their song “Eternal Drak.”

Their first EP, *La Resurrección de la Orden Guerrera*, was released in 2002, followed by their first full-length album, *Eternal Drak*, which was recorded in 2005 but officially released in 2012.

In 2007, the band disbanded temporarily.

In 2020, the band regrouped in Quebec, Canada, with Drakar, Warmessiah, and Reijav joining forces to create the album *The Past is Gone, A New One is Coming*. This album was dedicated to the memory of Eduardo Martínez (Warhammer), the band’s co-founder, eternal drummer, and beloved friend.

In 2021, the band released their third full-length album, *Drak Metal*, featuring 12 original tracks and one cover. That same year, the lineup was restructured with the addition of drummer Juan Francisco Avella. They also signed a contract with the Italian label Wormhole Death for the physical release of *Drak Metal*.

In 2022, Eternal Drak released their fourth studio album, *Shadow Storm*, accompanied by the music video *Hide Your Madness*, filmed on Orleans Island in Quebec, Canada.

In 2023, the band released their second EP, *Interdimensional War of Satan*, which includes five tracks.

In 2024, they released their fifth full-length album, *Imprisoned Souls*, featuring 10 tracks. The lineup was further strengthened with the addition of Mike Amyot (lead guitar) and Patrick Auger (drums).

In 2025, the band will release *The Warrior Order*, a complete reimagining of their 2022 debut EP “La Resurreccion De La Orden Guerrera”. This newly recorded EP pays respectful homage to their origins while presenting a modernized sound.

Today, Eternal Drak continues to thrive, staying true to its name by delivering powerful riffs, thunderous drums, and commanding vocals. With more metal, melody, and harmony than ever before, the band remains as dynamic and determined as ever.

Québec City, Canada’s, Eternal Drak are releasing their fifth black metal album “Imprisoned Souls” this week and they are excited to see fans’ reactions to this offering that describes a horror story between thrash, black, and death, and has a twisted concept surrounding the tribulations of trapped spirits and anecdotes from residents of an enchanted place. The band explains further:

“The process of creating this album was an intense and liberating experience. We delve into the darkness and depth of our souls to give life to a set of songs that reflect our evolution as a band and unbridled passion for the genre. Every riff, every scream, and every note was carefully crafted to convey the raw energy and brutality that characterizes our style. In the studio, we felt like prisoners of our own emotions, but in the end, we managed to free our souls through music.”

“Imprisoned Souls” is a ten-song horror journey into the darkest depths of extreme metal. Eternal Drak hopes this album catches listeners in a whirlwind of dizzying riffs, frenetic rhythms, and lyrics full of desperation and rebellion. They want everyone who dares to give this a spin to feel the power of thrash black metal in each song and become fully immersed in a state of trance and liberation.

For Eternal Drak, each album has a different concept, and on this album, most of the lyrics are about experiences lived on an old farm located in Colombia where there was an improvised hospital during a great battle of the War of Independence. Other lyrics are interpretations of what they believe is behind these paranormal stories. Join in the eerie atmosphere that is highly recommended for fans of Watain, Kreator, and Motorhead.

Founded in 1997 by the Martínez brothers, Drakar and Warhammer, Eternal Drak has carved a path of sonic innovation and artistic evolution. They have released six turbulent albums thus far and have a seventh “Imprisoned Souls”, which makes its debut on July 17, 2024. The second single from this concept album is “Haunting Place”, which continues the historical story that the album tells. The band comments on the single:

“Although for many groove and black metal cannot go together, we believe that this is not true, and trying to attract the right audience we decided to release this song as the second single, a song in which the rhythm of the drums is the king and the Voices and guitars only accompany it, giving it melody and a black metal touch.”

“Haunting Place” is a catchy track with very groovy drums and a touch of thrash. The song describes the place where the vast majority of the anecdotes occur, a 19th-century house where many beings were trapped and the living were tormented.

With this release, Eternal Drak wants those who are already followers of the band to continue and evolve with them, although they know that their style is still mostly vintage and that with these groovy rhythms, they attract new followers who delve into the album to discover more. It is recommended for fans of Watain, Kreator, and Motorhead.

Eternal Drak has long been a cornerstone of metal in Canada, releasing six albums thus far with their seventh “Imprisoned Souls” slated for release on July 17, 2024. The first single off this long-awaited album is “Soul Of Hate”, which draws together three decades of musical mastery from the Quebec metal band and proves to fans that they are only getting better. Punctuated by fast thrash drums and guitars, the band comments on the single:

“‘Soul Of Hate’ is the first song to be released and is also the first track on the album. We really liked it from the beginning, and we selected it as the first single because it contains a structure that roughly represents most of what is on the album. The recording of this song was not easy since, not being satisfied, we shared it with the band’s closest fans to obtain their opinions and suggestions. Several times we had to adapt it in the studio to reach this result, something that represents and opens the album of the imprisoned souls.”

Much like their other albums, “Imprisoned Souls” is a concept album and on this one, most of the lyrics revolve around experiences lived in an old farm located in Colombia where there was an improvised hospital during a great battle of the War of Independence. Other lyrics are interpretations of what Eternal Drak believes is behind these horror or paranormal stories.

Inspired by haunting experiences from their Colombian roots, the album weaves a chilling narrative, inviting listeners to delve into the depths of fear, anger, and pain. It is recommended for fans of Watain, Kreator, and Motorhead.

About The Album Artwork

The central scene is taken by a 19th century Latin American style country house and on top of it is the dragon. The house is the place where all the paranormal stories and activities occurred and the dragon that witnesses and bears witness to all these stories. In art there are little things that represent each of the songs, things like a woman in sandals, the Bolivar sword, the fallen soldiers in the battle for independence.

About the album as a whole (LYRICALLY & MUSICALLY)

The album describes a horror story between thrash, black and death, from how the spirits were trapped, through several of the anecdotes that the residents of this enchanted place experienced but also possible points of view of the spirits that are trapped.

Track by Track (LYRICALLY & MUSICALLY)

1. Soul Of Hate
Theme that marks the beginning of the album with some fast thrash drums and guitars. The song describes a type of souls that are condemned for being full of anger towards whatever it is, this anger does not allow them to leave this plane.

2. Circle Of Black Flames
black theme with touches of doom that talks about that transition that souls have when they are condemned, they do not see an intense light but a black ring of flames that transports them through their condemnation

3. She Is A Magnet
A song that mostly belongs to the old and classic metal of the Venom style, but its rhythmic beats and the shape of the voice make it fall into Motor Head-style hard rock. The song tells the story of a woman who all her life has attracted condemned souls to her and how the souls perceive her as a light among the darkness.

4. Haunting Place
Catchy track with very Groovy drums and a touch of thrash. The song describes the place where the vast majority of the anecdotes occur, a 19th century house where many beings were trapped and the living are tormented.

5. Oda A La Luna (Re Recorded)
This song is a re-recording of a song originally recorded in 2000 and that belongs to the band’s first EP “La Resurreccion De La Orden Guerrera”. This song belongs to the black metal of the 90s and is an ode to the moon and to some ancestral beings who, after their battle with God, were banished to our world and transmitted a large part of their knowledge to us.

6. Take No Prisoners
Theme with a lot of more modern black metal style with some forays into thrash. The song tells the story of a battle for independence in the 19th century where an ambush created too many losses and deaths that were taken to the house where the paranormal acts currently occur.

7. The Woman In Sandals
Black metal song a little doom and a little rock & roll. It is a story of a woman who, after the battle, dedicated herself to taking the very wounded officers inside the house to give them care. This woman, after she died, continued repeating this action, trapped by her desire to help.

8. The Mist
Theme with a great presence of Thrash metal that tells how on the nights when the fog descends from the mountains, the living beings that live in that house group together to be able to better cope with the events that they know will occur.

9. Feasting The Anguish
Classic thrash black metal theme. The theme describes an evil entity in charge of keeping condemned souls in their state of desperation and constant search for communication with the living.

10. Bound By Ambition
Black metal theme that tells the story of some officers who at the time of death only thought about preserving their material assets and that ambition condemns them to remain trapped in that desire and ambition.

STORY ANGLES / FUN FACTS ABOUT THE BAND

1. “Oda A La Luna” is the only song in Spanish on the album because it comes from the band’s first EP in 2002.

2. “She Is A Magnet” is a song based on one of the relatives of Drakar the composer, she was actually the focus of several paranormal experiences because somehow you attract them.

3. Live performances are in a waiting period because the band’s guitarist/vocalist has been adapting to his visually impaired condition. We hope that presentations can now be made with this new album.

4. The multiple changes and modifications requested by the band’s followers when listening to the song “Soul Of Hate” generated strong conflicts between its two members, reaching an agreement took time and efforts to understand the recommendations.

5. The sound of the guitars was recorded like a wall, 6 tracks of each guitar panned using the legendary and hated/loved Metal Zone as a base in 2 of them. The other 4 tracks used the Boss Gt-100, an excellent and very versatile pedalboard.

In 1997, the Martínez brothers, Drakar and Warhammer, aged 17 and 15 respectively, began the foundations of “Eternal Drak”.

In 1998, rhythm guitarist Oscar Layton (Reijav) joins the band.

At the beginning of the 21st century “Eternal Drak” won the City TV network award for best Metal video, with the song Eternal Drak,

In 2002, “Eternal Drak” published its first album (EP) “La Resurreccion De La Orden Guerrera”

In 2005, they recorded their second album in the “Cero Decibeles” studio of their leader Drakar, but its official release was in 2018, an album mastered in a studio in Québec, Canada and published by the Living Metal label in Bogotá.

In 2007, “Eternal Drak” disbanded.

In 2020, the band moved to Quebec Canada and Drakar, Warmessiah and Reijav came together to create the album “The Past is Gone, A New One is Coming”. In memory of his brother and friend, co-founder and eternal drummer of “Eternal Drak”, Eduardo Martínez, Warhammer.

That second album was recorded, mixed, produced and mastered by the band’s leader, Drakar, at the Firstwave Studio facilities in Quebec, Canada.

In 2021 the band’s third Long Play is released, “Drak Metal”, an album with 12 unreleased songs and 1 Cover.

That same year, the band’s line-up was reorganized with the addition of Juan Francisco Avella on drums and a contract was signed with the Italian label Wormhole Death to physically release the album Drak Metal.

In 2022, the 4th studio album, “Shadow Storm”, is released, and along with it the video clip HIDE YOUR MADNESS recorded on the Orleans Island in Quebec Canada.

Currently Eternal Drak is still more alive than ever and is determined to live up to its name to continue distorting its strings, hitting its drums, strumming its voice, with more Metal, melody and harmony than ever.

The perspectives predict that its vibrations starting from North America, crossing the entire American continent, with a resonance so strong that the waves of the Pacific and the Atlantic will make them travel to the other continents.
