Appealing to many death metal walks of life on their debut, Widow’s Peak set the stage for more grand things to come in their future with Graceless. It’s a solid taste of what they can do, and hopefully lays the groundwork for more expansive material to come in the future.

“From the wild west of Canada, Woodhawk brings to the table heavy stoner metal laced with sorcery. For any fans of bands like The Sword, Black Sabbath, and Red Fang, this Canadian gem will be sure to suit your fancy.”

The man is clearly an amazing shredder on the guitar, and proves his competency on the drums and keyboards as well, delivering six short songs that hold our attention through multiple listens.

A little bit of keyboard, a thumping drum beat followed by roaring riffs leads into the blazing hot title track. A track that mixes modern metal with operatic style scope. That element comes from the incredible range on singer Ms. Meka. She can go from huge soaring melodies to heavier shouts and screams in an instant. Incredible.
The Conjuring is a savoury piece of work. And I bet you, this band will go far, if this video is anything to go by.
