Inverse Records: Dive Into Longing With ATLAS (Finland) Through The New Video for “Pareidolia”

European Tour w/ Monuments

The second video from Atlas’ new album ‘Primitive’ was released on October 5, 2018; the sixth track of the album ‘Pareidolia’ is a forlorn song full of emotion set against the aggressive and fast music Atlas has been gracing us with since their conception.

‘Pareidolia’ was released alongside the full length and both feature pristine production with melancholic lyrics and exquisite guitar tones. The pensive video is morose, but also conveys a sense of fortitude. It was filmed somewhere in Finland in June 2016 by Nikke Puskala and Patrik Nuorteva, and edited by Patrik Nuorteva and Tuomas Kurikka of Perish Films.

The album was recorded at Sonic Pump Studios in Helsinki with audio engineer and producer Tuomas YliJaskari (Lost Society, Valkeat, etc.). The mixing and mastering took place in Sweden at Impact Studios by Buster Odeholm (Born of Osiris, Sworn In, Humanitys Last Breath, etc.). BIO:

ATLAS is a 5 piece modern metalcore band from Nokia, Finland labeling themselves as ’’Northcore’’. The bands sound is a mix of heavy hitting riffs paired with catchy melodies and immersive soundscapes that draw inspiration from the gloom of north. Their releases include 2016 EP Northern Lights, 2018 pre singles “Birthright” and “The Catalyst” and debut full length album PRIMITIVE set to be released in October 2018. The band has played around Northern Europe with bands such as Miss May I, Adept, Eskimo Callboy, One Morning Left and We Butter The Bread With Butter. ATLAS is currently writing their second full length album and preparing to tour around Europe in support of their upcoming album.

Recorded by Ronny Milianowicz and mastered by Fascination Street Studios, “Legend Of The Starborn” forms the sequel to the space saga beginning on their previous album “Into The Void“. The album contains 13 masterful tracks of stadium fueled force that fans of the band and lovers of glorious, classic power metal will not be disappointed. The album also features guest appearances from Tommy Johansson (Sabaton, Reinxeed) and Patrik Selleby (Bloodbound, Shadowquest) with artwork done by Thomas Holmstrand.

“A sequel to Into The Void. Arriving in the age of Vikings, the Hero discovers that the technical progress that killed the Earth started when the Vikings vanished. BIO:

Veonity is a Swedish power metal band playing energetic, guitar-driven music with their roots well founded in the German/Swedish late 90’s sound, without symphonic additions. Veonity brings straight up power metal with powerful choruses supported majestic choirs.

Veonity was formed 2013 by Anders Sköld, Samuel Lundström and Kristoffer Lidre. They were bound together by their love of power metal and a dream to create epic songs that never die. In 2014 Joel Kollberg brought his drumming skills into the band and the line-up was completed.

In the beginning of 2015 the debut album “Gladiator’s Tale” was released. Later that same year Veonity entered the studio of producer “Ronny Milianowicz” (Shadowquest, ex Dionysus record new material. The album named “Into The Void”, released in September 2016 via Sliptrick Records, is a concept album best described as a dystopic, futuristic space saga.

Veonity has played numerous shows in various European countries together with bands like Sabaton and Powerwolf. In February 2017, Veonity followed the German power metal band Freedom Call Call on an European tour. In June 2017 they also played at Sweden Rock Festival.

Playing heavy, yet catchy music with prime influences including Lamb of God, Soilwork, Tool and Slipknot, Canadian anthemic metal band ATRIA have been given the nod to open the Kingston, ON November 24th tour stop of The Metal Alliance Tour featuring Goatwhore, The Casualties, Black Tusk, Great American Ghost and Gozu. This will be ATRIA‘s first performance showcasing headbangers off their debut EP “New World Nightmare” due out November 16th.

ATRIA‘s debut release “New World Nightmare” is just a teaser of what is to be expected from them. Not just sticking with the usual heavy formula of the genre, they also add plenty of synth and orchestral parts and experiment with varying degrees of technicality over four introductory tracks.

Vocalist Tom Emmans expands on his vision for the band’s direction:

“I’ve always been a fan of catchy choruses. I like when bands can bring something dark and heavy, but also give me something to sing along to. We’ve tried to do that with our new single and I think we’ve accomplished that. Also the lyrics have a great deal of depth and personal meaning to them. The rest of the album is much heavier but there are still plenty of good hooks worked in there.”

Even as a relatively new band, ATRIA is finding their place in the Canadian underground scene and making their name known among a wide variety of metal fans.

Founded by Tom Emmans (vocals) and Tim Ross (guitar) in August of 2017, ATRIA takes its name from a music venue in a nearby city at which Emmans and Ross played their first gig at with a different band. The experiences had at that place resonated enough to be cemented as the band’s moniker. Eventually they recruited Matt McGuire (drummer), Brent Westmoreland (bass) and Travis McGinnis (guitar) to fill out the lineup and have played a handful of shows and festivals with a great response and are hungry for more. The debut release for the band, New World Nightmare EP, is due November 16th, 2018. Sectorial is a metal band from Boyarka, Ukraine, formed in 2000. After several changes of its participants, the final lineup was established in 2010. Current genre can be described as Blackened Death, Ethnic Metal.

Sectorial’s debut EP “Cerebrum Necrosis Est It In Nobis” came out in January, 2008. In its support, the band has played 20 shows in different cities of Ukraine. “Cerebrum Necrosis Est It In Nobis” premiere took place at Radio ROKS, as well as at Radio Carcoma (Spain). In September 2008, Sectorial took 4th place at The Global Battle of The Bands, Kyiv. With EPs “Boiler” and “Controlled Insane” in 2009, band has played approx. 40 shows in Ukraine and Russia.

The debut full-length album “Erase and Reborn the Humanity” was released in February 2012 via Metal Scrap Records. In support of LP, Sectorial went on the joint Ukrainian tour with Crusher, performed at the festival Metal Heads` Mission XIII and went on the two-week tour (Ukraine — Moldova — Russia) with Infest (FR).

In August 2015, Sectorial released their second full-length album “We Are the Titan’s Rising Ashes” via Noizr Productions. The record’s exclusive presentation was held on October 17 at the Noizr Fest, Kyiv. On the same day, there was a premiere of the debut music video for the song “Tree Eater”. Later band released pro-live video “Young Shoots”, filmed during performance at the festival.

In December 2015, Sectorial won two awards in categories “Best Metal Album” for LP “We Are The Titan’s Rising Ashes” and “Best Metal Video” for the clip “Tree Eater” at The Best Ukrainian Metal Act 2015 contest.

In 2016, the band gave several shows in Ukraine, and also performed at the Kilkim Žaibu festival in Lithuania, sharing the stage with such metal acts as Venom, Nifelheim, Schirenc Plays Pungent Stench, Ereb Altor and others.

Since 2017, Sectorial have been working on material for the new third full-length album, which is now set for release on November 9th, 2018 on Noizr Productions.
